What if....(follow my line of logic first please)The girls (Kelly, Laney, etc) threw her and Patrick the bridal shower and was unaware that Maxie is maid of honor. That would explain her absense. However--Robin asking "Where's Maxie?" would have went a long way.

It was ridiculous she wasn't there and even more ridiculous it wasn't even mentioned. Robin just lost Georgy so it would make perfect sense for her to be there. I noticed it right away as a Robin/Maxi fan. Just sloppy scribing they have a "team" which includes a writer of continuity...this should not have happened. They always miss the mark for me making perfect blunders on these kind of things.

I have to agree with LadyOphelia and WeeklyMala on this one. It's possible that this was just a shower from the friends at work. Maybe Maxie is planning another shower for later. It does happen that way.
