As you all know, ATWT is on the brink of extinction, and will most likely disappear from the airwaves forever, sadly, if ratings continue going south. Also, it appears as if CG, JP, and their bosses aren't attempting anything novel to try and fix what is wrong with this show.
Taking that into consideration, I want to know what YOU, the FAN, the person that wants this show to be GOOD, to ENTERTAIN, and CONTINUE for more than a year...I want to know what YOU would do differently than JP and CG. I want to hear what you think they should be doing that they're not doing in order to at least attempt to save the show.
While I don't watch Guiding Light, I've heard from many fans that that show has improved drastically over the last year or so because of changes implemented. Even if those changes end up being too little, too late, I have to give the show credit for at least trying.
Considering ATWT is soon to be at the point where any changes might be too little, too late, please tell me what you would do with the show NOW to save it. Feel free to talk about the character/actors, storylines, plot structures, and anything else you would like to discuss as it pertains to the show.
Even though TPTB won't ever read this thread, a year from now, if the worst does happen, we can always look back at this thread, read what we wrote, and say, "why did they never listen to us, the viewers, who are ultimately responsible for whether the show dies or lives?"

Also, they kind of made it sound like Adam was always evil. He was like the only kid on soaps to find out his bio dad (Hal) wasn't the same man who he thought was his dad (Tom) and didn't rebel......It was only the last incarnation of Adam that was evil........But they do need to focus more on established characters. At first, I thought Allison and Casey were cute, but now...not so much. Where is Aaron? They need to refocus on established characters, Aaron was the first one to come to mind, but I'm sure there are plenty of others, like Lucy and Abigail......
Honestly? Fire the current regime. They don't seem to care about the show and put the minimal amount of effort into writing it so if they don't care then find people who will to write the show. Maybe then we will see an improvement. Certainly can't get much worse.
I would bring back more synders..I would also bring back the original Lily Synder (Martha Bryne)...as I like the new Lily she just doesn't give off the same chemistry as the original and I can't seem to get used to her. It is too bad they killed off Rose unless somehow they had it where James Stenbeck really took her after Will poisoned her just like they did with Dusty..that would bring back so good drama...I don't think Adam is really dead,I think there is more to the story than that...or I would hope so.
Hahahahaha, this is hilarious!Did you guys see what JP and CG are doing to try and save the show? They're bringing in even MORE cast (wohoo wohoo let's ignore all the cast we have on the show, except a few ***COUGH*** Meg ***COUGH***), and these cast members will, as always, be short term, but the new catch is that they're people that are well known in daytime!What a great idea, right? As obviously, the cast isn't large enough, and of course, bringing in newbies (oh and hopefully people from GL!) will greatly help the writing, pacing, and overall quality on this show right?HA! I don't even know why CG and JP are making this much of an effort. I do actually consider this effort! It's too bad they didn't resign years ago when they realized they were going through the motions. It's also too bad the cast, crew, and staff at the show will all be losing their jobs shortly because of CG and JP's completely negligance. But what's worst of all is that NO ONE above CG and JP CARED enough to ever step in and relieve them of their duties. That, my friends, will be the biggest travesty of them all when we look back to see why this show was canceled at this point in time in its history.

Bring back familiar characters! Even the old ones! I can't believe that the Hughes had a "private" memorial for Adam. Even if he did do bad things the last time he was in town that doesn't excuse the family from letting the rest of the family and friends of many years know that your son has died ! They had a wonderful opportunity here to re-unite many characters! And I really don't understand how they feel the need to make "everyone" unhappy and miserable.
