Ok, I get that Maxie is supposed to be Ms. Fashionista, but, this most recent hairdo, or giant wedge thing is a bit much. Made her look goofy to me. Remidns me of that weird little hair clip thing she wore for awhile. Doesn't flatter her at all. Yuck!!

Totally agree, but unfortunately just like runway models, some fashionistas dons those weird azz hairdos. Maxie gets on my nerves when she dons hers though. And the girl has definitely had some weird ones.

It wasn't so much her hair as her weird headpiece she wore for her wedding. I get that it was supposed to be SJP-in-SATCTM inspired, but it looked like she attacked her mother's headpiece (from her second wedding to Frisco) with glue and glitter. And Thank God at least one soap child is messed up from their parents' abandoning them to relatives!

I kinda liked the whole headpiece thing. It reminded me of the Lana Turner and Joan Crawford days. But thats just me.

I agree with you regarding a soap recognizing the need to tell a story, where a character's life is dysfunctional due to his or her childhood. I love the character of Maxie and the wedding storyline has been fun to watch. WIth Maxie being the fashionista that she is, I was surprised to see her hair so "out of place"; I thought the hair and makeup department could have given her the great hairstyle she wears 99% of the time.

Ok, I personally don't like the hat, and would never wear it, however, I felt the hat was actually very fitting for Maxie and the whole aura of the wedding. I mean it kind of had this classic, 40's and 50's vibe to it. Even Robin looked very fab in her 40's inspired hair and outfit. I must say, that is the best I have ever seen Robin, and the first time I ever liked her. Period. At any rate, I think the wedding is beautiful and am said that it actually "doesn't happen". Spinelli's "vows" were beautiful, and Maxie looked shocked when he said he couldn't marry her.Mac was ultimately hilarious, and I like the Mac/Patrick scenes when Patrick kind of told Mac to amn up a little. Very good.Loved the Lulu , Robin, Maxie scenes. Loved how Lulu and Maxie actually declared themselves "best friends".This was probably the most enjoyable episode I have seen in a very long time. There were so many positives about it. I feel like I am gushing!

Give it up for Morgan and his best man speech; that boy is a fantastic actor. I really wish TPTB would let him and Molly age along with the show, like they did with Robin. Robin and LuLu were beautiful and didn't Patrick look smashing!!!

Morgan did an excellent job! I agree, he is an awesome little actor. Patrick and just about all the males there looked hot. I loved Olivia and Johnny out as a couple. Olivia looked gorgeous and so did Kate! I actually liked Kate yesterday and normally I can't stand her. Kudos to everyone at the non-wedding wedding.

Kate & Coleman were great together. Too bad it'll go nowhere.

I totally agree. I think she needs Coleman to keep a little bit of real life when she comes back from all the phonies she has to suck up to in order to get her magazine published. Talking with Liv about the good old days isn't enough. Coleman's enough like Sonny to do the job without all Sonny's drama.

OMG, I totally loved the non-wedding reception karoake party at Jake's. How entertaining was that! From Coleman's fair warning to Luke's latest son (I forget his name) when he was flirting with Christina to Alexis and Carly jamming on the dance floor to Molly and Morgan's (M&M) performance which was totally cute. I even enjoyed Kate....go figure!! That whole episode was definitely a DVR keeper

A few thoughts about the non-wedding reception....Ingo Rademacher can't dance. Laura Wright can shake it, even palying pregnant. John York can't play drunk!Loved Jason Cook dancing on the bar with Coleman's Kittens!Coleman defines Macho! That was probably the most screen time that actor has ever seen on the show!Karaoke is a cheap-chic version of The Nurses' Ball. I love it!

I think what they did with Mac was the only downside. Not the part about him celebrating the non-wedding, but the getting hammered part. It's just not Mac & you're right. He can't play drunk at all. He should get some pointers from Jason Cook or Megan Ward on how to do it. Another one who does hammered well is Jane Elliot. I just hope now that he sees that Spinelli can coherently speak when necessary, that he leaves him alone & lets them be. He's been acting like a fool for months. His concerns & fears are valid, but the way he behaves makes him look like a moron. It also makes it pretty obvious that someone on the writing staff or somewhere in TPTB, has no respect for law enforcement.

Mac hitting on Alexis was also a little skeevy, but then I realised that of all the characters that have been on the show a significant period of time, those two are probably the only two that haven't hooked up. But would Mac really want to raise somebody else's daughters again ? This would be time #3!

The children don't have to be part of the deal if they were to be just lovers. Lord knows it been ages since Mac released some tension. Its been a minute for Alexis too who by the way definitely don't do relationships well.
