What A Trip!

During her December break, Kate Linder (Esther, Y&R) took advantage of her other job — she’s a flight attendant for United Airlines — and agreed to work on a plane bound for Melbourne, Australia. “I’ve never been to Melbourne before, so I thought it would be fun to go,” she explains. “But it was for only two days!” My husband, Ron, thought I was crazy … but he loved having me as his personal flight attendant on the plane [laughs].” Linder was generous enough to share some of her favorite photos and memories with Digest.March Of The Penguins:

“One of the most amazing things we saw were the penguins marching on Phillip Islands. The penguins come out of the sea to feed their young on the beach at the same time every day, from 9:05 P.M. to 9:30 P.M. There were so many of them, and they were beautiful. It was just incredible and definitely worth the long trip just to see that.”Birds On The Run:

“What was interesting is that the vehicles, like our bus, had to watch out to make sure there weren’t any birds underneath.”
Flight Of Fancy:

“I’ve never had better first class service from the most beautiful flight attendant in my life,” claims Kate’s adoring husband, Ron.
Crossing That Bridge…:

“Melbourne has many interesting forms of architecture, including its bridges. We liked this one, which was above the Yarra river. The city reminded us a little of Venice. The city was just so clean and bright and modern.”To Market, To Market:

“We went to this great shopping place called Victoria Market where they had camels! I definitely wasn’t expecting to see that.”These Boots Are Made For Walking:

“I just had to get Uggs at Victoria Market while I was there because they’re made in Australia. Only it was the summer there, so I couldn’t really wear them.”
