For months GH fans have complained about the mob taking over the show, which I agree with. I thought it might be fun to state what we want for sweeps besides shootings and mobsters.
Lets have a huge snowstorm that causes Jason, Sonny, Karpov, Trevor, Anthony, Claudia and Johnnie to be trapped together with most freezing to death to reduce the mob.
Since Jason/Liz won't happen how about Liz and Dr. Matt, maybe they can write a paper about how he heels so fast from burns.
Let's have Leyla get a man or a woman, as long as she gets some love. Her character adds a tiny bit of diversity to the GH cast.
Helena comes back and has really kidnapped Emily and Alan Q. Don't know why but at least the family will be increasing. Then there can be a Nic/Nadiane/Emily love triangle. Besides those wacky Casadines can bring anyone back from the dead.
Michael wakes up. Jax has a baby, More Q's at the hospital or about ELQ, Lets bring Ned back to take the company from his monther and grandfather.
Lets turn the cops back into heros and have them prevent and solve crimes. How bout an ATF or FBI agent to take down all the mob.
Sam gets pregnant with Lucky's child, that would be good.
Kate moves back to be head of Coture? Magazine and leaves Port Charles. Or have her stop being so blind about Sonny. Lets have her and Colman have a hot affair.
Lulu needs to stop being written so whiney, she is a spencer and a junior Carly, lets see some schemes and some boys that won't get her shot or locked in the looney bin.
I liked an idea I read where Diane and Alexis run for mayor, that would be a hoot.
Max opens a hot new night club or restaurant, and again no violence.
Just some thoughts what do you guys think.
What I'd love to see for sweeps...Sonny and Kate in a car bomb and presumed dead for at least 6 months. Only for them to come back and have Kate with a back bone. Girlfriend is whinier (is that POSSIBLE??) version of Brenda and I hated her too...Liz to leave for 6+ months to see Sarah and come back with a back bone as well. Leave Matt on GH to pine for her!Carly and Jax beat the odds, watch Michael wake up (please recast an older Michael), bring him home and have a baby.Sam and Lucky-- baby and marriage, but still hot sex scenes. A Max/Diane/Alexis triangle (imagine the fun with THAT!!)A long lost Q or Ned back. Maybe with Lois in tow.All the cartoon characters gone. Yes--that means Anthony, Karpov, Claudia, Trevor and even Rick (but only for a little time for Rick). But most of all---I want romance, bromance and girlfriends. No more violence. I must wake from my dream version of GH.
I was just reading what people were saying about what the would like to see for sweeps...I was thinking to myself that Lucky doesn't have "biological" children with Liz or anyone for that matter. Sam supposedly can't have kids, but wants them. So let Sam get miraculously pregnant by Lucky. Awww, now that what I call "Love in the Afternoon." I absolutely love that idea. Sam & Lucky are HOT, HOT, HOT.

Some originality would be nice. How many times are these stories going to be recycled?Secret children: There have been three this year alone and a second one for Sonny.Marriage of convienience: Sonny married Lily on her father's orders and now Claudia; and twice with Carly to avoid jjail. Jason married Brenda to help out Sonny.Mobsters, explosions, and shootings are GH staples for sweeps, so I would expect more of the same.

Deff. tone down on the mob stuff and what ever happend to say the hospital dramatics?? I think they should center more of the show on the stuff that happens in the hospital remember the Nurses Ball? and bring back Helena I'm sure she could cook something up that would cause a ruckus!
A sweeping romance just one sweep dedicated soley on romance...sweep after sweep its mob tales and they've gotten so repeititive until they are just downright silly.
I'd like Jason as his fan to "focus" on "his" life and stop being a Corinthos go to guy. Its gotten real old and so has he but he's doing the same thing from over a decade ago...

more Elizabeth Webber and the lovestory with Jason Morgan stop going at a snails pace. Their fans have been waiting for nearly 9 years for them and feel the need for speed.
I'd like Elizabeth's brother Steve to come back for her to have family and where is her mother? who is her mother? Is her father alive?
More focus on hospital, friendships, families; the Q's need to be re-built front and center up. and at em but I'm hesitant.
...I wanted Noah back but look what they did with him? Nothing.
Matt I don't know what they have planned for him but it would be nice to see it on the screen.
More meatier storylines for women.
No explosions, please not another shoot em up bang bang shoot out its old and predictable. I'd like to see Lainey Winters and Kelly Lee in a sweep storyline.
I'm not watching this sweep ( I am tuning in for Robin' wedding). I read some of what's going on and I'm not really interested...I'll read re-caps of Laura and if its interesting and they decide to do a decent storyline for her I'll watch and FF through the rest (like I usually do). Her and Scotty/Spencers could be an awesome storyline...
unfortunately they write "against" characters and "for" others and its the same ones over and over. GH doesn't do awesome "consistent storytelling" so I don't expect much from this sweep just the same ole' same ole'. I'd like to be pleasantly surprised but I doubt it. If they follow NS2 lead in character driven storytelling instead of from plot point to plot point it could move the stories a little faster they are too slow.
I am new (about 2 years) to GH but I have to agree with the Jason having a life beyond the mob comment. Maybe I am just slow, but I do not understand the draw of mob life if you are not allowed to have anything else in your life. How fulfilling can that be? Its not like someone who has a fulfilling career and is torn between the time that requires and their personal life, like say a doctor or nurse could be.
I totally agree. We need romance and stories with some depth. There are wonderfully rich core families that need something to do. This constant adding of new characters that go nowhere and are left to flounder or are killed off is ridiculous. Jerry Jax is now so unredeemable, that he will be probably be one of the casualties of the mob war. There was so much that should have been done with Bobbie & Alexis & Jerry. Nadine is not a twit and her romance with Nicholas could be a an incredible story. There is a whole set of hospital characters, Leila, Epiphany, Dr. Matt, to name a few that could and should be fleshed out. The Drake family alone has a lot of potential.Now we're going to have Sonny find out that Dante is his son (again another unneeded new character) and to into rage because Olivia and Kate "betrayed" him by keeping the sons existence from him. Same old story line. Lack of continuity, ignoring history, unnecessary new characters and killing off characters rather than having them just leave town is bringing GH way down!!!!
LOVED the show, the past couple of days, all the Spencer stuff and the wedding ranks right up there with the great days past of this show. If there were more of this character and true to history driven stories, and less mob plot driven stories, I'd keep watching. But I'm probably back out once the show switches gears again. And it's pretty amazing how much Coleman and Father Coates look alike.
Here's a few things I would like to see for Gh sweeps...How about Jason remembering who and what he was like before the car crash, but also remembering who he has been since the crash, and give us a mix of the two Jasons. And then he can get on with his life with Elisabeth and the boys. Maybe even go back to his inspirations of being a doctor. Another possiblity is giving Mac a storyline of his own. He is still as sexy as he was when he joined the show sooooo many years ago. I'll bet he still looks good with hes shirt off too. Give him a love interest. A women worhty of his good nature and a truely loving family man.

I would say Diane but I love her too much with Max. There is always Alexis since Jerry is leaving maybe they could bond, that would be nice. Max deserves a storyline what if they put him with Anna. That could be interesting too. His brother's ex-wife, could have possibilities.
Not Anna, (nothing against Finola Hughes or the character she portays) but she's always on & off the show. Mac needs someone who isn't always taking off, that's what Felica did. Hmm, I like the idea of Kate though. She's the type of woman that makes sacrifices for a relationship. Whatever they have planned for her & Sonny is anyones guess. They have him with Carly right now, and we all know what that can lead to. And then there's Olivia. Ya, I'm really liking the Kate possibility.
Thank you Thank you you have helped me and given me an example of a "character driven storyline" I am having difficulty following plot pointed storylines or "ploints" as the young crew calls them (they give a mnemonic to everything) LoLMy problem is with so many characters on the canvas with what I understand as plot point story telling I have difficulty following...ok so what I am seeing with Robin is "character driven" with little angst other than the external conflict (angst) of her health issues re: the delivery of Emma.Ok I'm getting it...
I'm up for anything that gets mob stuff off the screen!And as much as I hate Emily and am glad she's gone I'd do anything to have Helena Cassadine back on my screen. Bring back Helena!I also can't stand Lulu. She whines more than any character on that show.And YES YES YES to Diane and Alexis running for Mayor, hell, running for anything! Those 2 are hysterical together.
I miss Emily. How can you want the violence to stop but yet you want Helena back? I do agree Lu Lu can get whinny but I don't hate her. I would like to see her finally be able to be with Johny and become more like a younger Carly or kinda like that anyways.
Ooooh! I agree with that. Lulu can be whiny, but I still love her. She's a Spencer! A younger Carly would be nice to watch.
