I am really liking this storyline, especially the Luke and Noah parts, seeing as they are my favorite couple on the show, the only problem I am having with the storyline is the massive plot holes that are all over the place.
I don't really care for it. Like someone else said, they don't even seem part of the show. It's like they're on another show. They don't interact with any of the other teens and they just started being around the Snyders again.I feel like they keep bringing in ppl like Ameera and Sofie and it's old. They aren't interesting at all. I am not enjoying that storyline.
I'm indifferent. I don't hate it but I don't love it either
I'm liking the story but there plot holes. I think Jake has grown as an actor.
I do like the story and I think it has potential to really be some much needed romantic turmoil for Luke and Noah. However, the number of plot holes is distracting because there are so many unanswered questions and things that don't make sense. I'm hoping the writers will do something to clean some of those up. But, what makes the story work for me is the strong, moving performances of Van and Jake. Tala is rapidly improving as well.
Sorry, but I can't stand it. There are far too many plot holes and, no offense to Tala Ashe, but the character of Ameera is thoroughly boring.I'm glad to see Luke and Noah have a storyline--and Van and Jake are giving it their best--but I find it entirely uninteresting.
I'm sorry but I'm not liking this storyline either. The only good thing about this is that Jake and Van have more screentime now than before but who knows how long that'll last? I find the story and the character of Ameera boring and uninteresting. I hope they find a way to end this soon because it's sucking the life out of Nuke.
I do not like this story either. I think that they need to get rid of Amera. While they are at it, they need to get rid of Sophie too.
I'm frustrated by a lot of the Ameera-related stereotypes and I'm hoping they'll move away from all the marriage stuff soon, but I kind of like the idea of Casey getting involved in this storyline. I also think it's nice to at least have more Luke/Noah. By the way, I updated my "This Just In" on the main page with some tidbits that Nuke fans might enjoy.
I've been pretty vocal about the Ameera stereotypes on both our site and in our Hits/Misses column in the mag, but I'm starting to like the story now that Casey is involved. It gives Ameera a connection other than just being an "OMG! I must marry to keep you in the country!" speed bump for Noah and Luke. I like that it's now potentially a two couple story ala the Mixed Marrieds (Ned/Chloe/Jax/Alexis) on GH several years back.
Yeah I'm starting to, like the story too now. Really enjoyed the Casey and Amerra scene this week

I agree with that, even though I am enjoying the storyline for the most part the marriage thing is bugging me, I am really hoping for there to be more to the story outside of the marriage. Like Luke going off the deep end because of all of the stuff he is dealing with, I mean we have the marriage, and then Lily leaving town soon, so there is the perfect set up, for Luke to lose control, and perfectly in the end Noah save Luke from himself, but I am probably hoping for to much there.
Then of course the plot holes that hopefully the writers will someday get back to, LOL.
As for Casey I like the idea of Casey and Amerra in a way, though I just hope they don't put all the focus on them and leave Luke and Noah without a story again. Like Wednesday's show, most of the focus seemed to be on Casey and Amerra, but Luke and Noah seemed secondary to them, I just hope that is not a trend.
BTW: Is the this just in, on the main SOD site here? Because I can't find it anywhere.
I think it's impossible to find This Just In -- it's like a Digest web site easter egg! If you scroll down the main page, there a box on the right side with all of the editors' names. If you click on them, you'll see our occasional musings.

I'm not liking the Ameera girl being added to their story line. Not at all.
I have nothing against Ameera & don't mind her being in the Nuke story. I'm just happy that Noah & Luke have a story but don't like that one of them is in a marriage of convenience. I'd love to see Nuke face some real relationship challenges & obstacles rather than Noah being in a sham marriage. And its disappointing, based on the last ep where Noah wants to walk round town with his arm round Amerra's shoulders - it seems as if he's jumped back in the closet. Such a shame 'cos it was so great to see these teens come out & be proud of who they are. My hope is that like most soap marriages, this one doesn't last too long.
They have a storyline? Can you honestly call being on once a week, which means about 4 times a month - which always happens with Nuke, being part of a storyline? Because that's what has been happening the past month, and I bet that trend will continue. I only wish I could figure out why the show won't feature one of their most popular and recognizeable couples. It doesn't seem to make any sense to me.
Well, they did have a story for about two weeks... then I think JP came back and suddenly the airtime went away. I always suspected she really didn't like writing for Luke and Noah and this confirms it for me. I just wonder why they bothered to keep Van on if they're not going to use him but once a week. And yes, it makes no sense that she refuses to use one of the show's more popular couples, but we get plenty of other characters nobody cares for, such as Sofie.
All the material that we have seen so far, up to today and probably for sometime beyond today, is scab written material. JP's name has not returned to the credits of the show yet, which means it's not her material, which means it's still scab wrok. Nuke couldn't get any screentime under JP, nor the scabs - under the direction of CG. Why is this? Since they're so popular, yet never on, what gives? Are the writers and CG scared? Are people in charge of P&G Productions directing the writers and CG to limit Nuke's screentime because these people in charge of P&G Productions are closet homophobes? What exactly gives?
Am I the only one who doesn't buy this storyline, because it would never be allowed to happen this way? My mom married a man who was from Canada, and before he was allowed to apply for his green card they had to go through so much crap she almost moved to Canada. The gov't would never allow Ameera to stay here after only a couple days of being married. This storyline is bogus, just like the rest of ATWT lately. I've said it in other posts so i won't rant in this one about the entire show. But this storyline isn't even believable!
Realistically, they probably would have deported Ameera back to Iraq regardless of her quickie marriage and made her re-apply, probably operating on the same philosophy as the "fiance

I haven't warmed up to Ameera yet, but I love that Luke & Noah have more of a story now. I thought the show did a great job of keeping the focus on Nuke before, during and after the wedding the other day. Noah may have been marrying Ameera, but I hardly even noticed she was there.
