It amazes me that fans, using GH history, can come up with really interesting story lines (the Jason starts to remember his past was a good one, too) but the writers can't.

I don't understand that either.Fans seem to respond much more positively to storyliines that play INTO the history of a show rather than AGAINST it's history.I see, on occassion, a reason to develop new characters but I never see a reason to ignore history of a character or show.Also, keep in mind that because Victor comes to town claiming to be a peaceful man, doesn't mean he is without motivation and plans coming to town.The actor that played Victor is now on DAYS (and has been for years) but is horribly misused/underused and I find it hard to believe that when his contract is up, ABC couldn't lure him back to the fold.An example of ignored history that should drive fans crazy: Laura goes to France to continue her therapy and recovery. That Scotty was on that plane was a plus for me, but shouldn't her MOTHER (Lesley) has gone with her as well. Lesley would never have refused Scotty showing up, she always liked Scotty. It would have been a simple scene to accomplish and added another huge layer to the story.I have SO many ideas of ways to turn the show around but, alas, never would the network ask and their writing teams are so closed, there is never a chance to communicate them with the powers that be at ABC.

I have a theory, LOL...Soap writer these days want to make there own stories, and don't want to use another writers history to hold up their stories. Why? Who knows! I always say that my past could pop right up into my future at any givin moment. ATTENTION: TPTB...It's O.K. to use the history of the show, we won't hold it against you. Actually we will APPLAUED you for it!

I don't remember this Victor Cassadine, but very interesting, I like it. And where the hell is Helena???I know people are really tired of Jason & the mob, but he is one of my favorites. I agree he could be changed up, but does anyone remember how horribly BORING Jason Quatermaine was? He can't come back. Maybe a mix of the two. He could leave the mob and come to run ELQ, and mix it up with Tracey, still employ Berine & Diane, have a slightly dirty element to it. Bring Ned back so him and Jason could run it together.

This version of Jason that we currently have has the interest of a dirty ashtray....Guza is seriously missing the beat with Helena, though. Imagine that she and Edward found each other, and she realized she was in love with a peasant! What a blast.I think Nikolas is more interesting with Helena lurking in his life. I Love Constance Towers!

Who is Victor Cassidine. I remember Meakos, Stephan and Nickolas father but not a victor

The original Cassadines were Anthony Cassadine (came to town under the name Tony Castle), followed by Victor Cassadine (I believe the youngest of the three brothers), and finally Mikkos Cassadine (not introduced until they all arrived at the Cassadine Island).Trivia - Mikkos warned his younger brothers of getting to involved with woman as they cloud your thinking and take you off focus, off your goals. Then after he died, GH decided to have his wife (Elizabeth Taylor played her) show up to disrupt L&L's wedding. Trivia - Helena met with Luke and lamented that he would have been the type of son she and Mikkos would have been proud to have if they had children which they did not. UNTIL it was decided that their son Stavros was responsible for holding Laura for 2 yrs.Anyway, Mikkos and Anthony died at the end of the Ice Princess Affair and Victor was taken off to prison.So that is the original Cassadine clan.

And wouldn't it be fun to see Helena return and try to establish a relationship with Samantha (a Cassadine granddaughter)?So the Casadine roster is:Mikkos - the eldest brother, at least 10 yrs older than the two brothers. DeceasedAnthony - middle brother, but the one that is actually third in the line of power in the family. Deceased.Victor - youngest of the brothers. Jailed after Ice Princess and off handedly mentioned as having died in prison. Supposedly.Helena - Mikkos wife. Also help Mikkos raise his two younger siblings after Mikkos' parents died.Stavros - Mikkos/Helena's eldest son. Deceased (?)Stefan - Mikkos/Helena's youngest son. DeceasedNatasha/Alexis - Mikkos/Kristen's eldest daughterKristine - Mikkos/Kristen's youngest daughter. Deceased.Petros - cousin to Mikkos. Played by the same actor as Mikkos.Nicholas - son of Stavros/Laura Spencer.Samantha -daughter of Alexis/??.Other than granchildren, I don't think I left out any of the major Cassadine characters.

Well, well, well. So in its infinite stupidity, Ken has fired Thaao from DAYS. This makes him so completely available to GH at a time when they could use his character to reignite the Cassadine family!!!!!Also rumor is that ABC is courting Deidre Hall.Lets hope that ABC follows up and grabs these two actors.

While ABC is looking to grab some names...remember they have to worry about budgets too.

Deirdre Hall is the last thing that GH needs. She doesn't fit in to the GH character and story lines and GH has more than enough people without adding another "star" from another show.
