I'm with you and feel your pain... but.. the "outsiders" are cheaper than the "favorites"..... the "favorites have been around alot longer, so their salaries are higher, and with econmy as it is, and budget cuts across the board, its cheaper to bring in useless, meaningless non-dramatic uncared for characters, whose portrayers are just looking for a job now a days and will take what THEY can. The faves have longevity, and in that, they cost more.. hence Melody being kicked to recurring, because she stood her ground, and would not take a pay cut, as she feels she deserves more than what they wanted to pay her. so they bunp her to a less role, and lesser time... so this puts the head honchos in a quandry. they GOTTA fill the slots left vacant, so they bring in tired useless talent that does not cost them near as much as say oh Jeanne cooper ( even she has been knocked back on screen time from time to time.) The ONLY one who stays and gets his way is the one who I wish WOULD leaveand that is Braeden. Not a fan of the fact he just ALWAYS gets his way or he'll walk...fine.. let him walk... we'll survive without him.. will allow others to FINALLY shine, where he has kept them from doing so......so, since He calls the shots, and he and Jeanne make the most money, producers need to bring in cheaper talent.....cheaper being the operative word. They DID get a wise hair up their azz when they got rid of Clemmy poo ( mac) but will miss JT....so thats basically what I think is going on with the shows. Yes.. viewers ARE tuning out because of lackluster boring stories that really have no value or merit ( meggie perhaps)......Just my opinion!

I agree with you both. I don't necessarily have a problem with new blood. We need new folks occassionally for the regulars to bed-hop with. Realistically everyone has sleeped with everyone else and unless we go into the B&B territory with incest possibilities we need some fresh meat. I think the story with Meggie could have been a much meatier story if they had made her related to Skye and then tied to Adam and the Newmans that way. Having her be some psyhco from Murphy's past makes no sense to me and this ridiculous idea that Victor will just fall in bed with her because Nikki has hit the bottle is silly. I like Sean Young and I think her talent is being wasted. I've said from the beginning the Cane/Lily story is plain stupid, boring, insepid, worthless, and a waste of space. While I love Paul Leyden but having him be some over the top cow mafioso is plain silly. He could have added some hotness to the show without being a nutjob but whatever. I too won't stop watching the show. It's all I've got left. I can't stand B&B anymore, ATWT and GL are gone. I refuse to watch anything else on CBS but Y&R is with me until the end.

and NOW they bring back the SUPREME child of the corn! Could not stand that witch when she was on the first time, and they bring her back?. COMEONALREADY!! sheesh!
