Honey...I am so in your boat on this! Ryan became somewhat interesting when he and Annie fell in love. They actually had rooting power. And, with the amnesia story, they had great potential to write a sweeping love story of him finding his way back to her. But, they blew it.To be blunt, AMC has lost me. I have not watched an episode since the tornado, and have not even seen a scene with Tamara Braun, who' s work I adore. I keep up through the mags and internet sites when I can. I don't even DVR AMC either.

I like Ryan when he first came onto the canvas. He was tough as nails take crap from no one. Now this Ryan is a wimp. The old Ryan would never have married Annie in the first place. She just drags everyone down. I don't think he belongs with Kendall or Greenlee. He needs someone who will give the character life. If they can't find that, then write him off the show. Besides, Greenlee leaves in the spring. What will he do then? Go after Kendall again?

The only outcry for this character is to get rid of him judging by the sentiment I see on all the other boards.

I mean really....Everytime they pair Ryan up with someone, that character is turned into a stepford Lavery bride....Her brain is removed... Her backbone destroyed.... He ability to think on her own gone. All the other characters do is say< "Ryan is good... Ryan is great... Nothing is Ryan's fault... Ryan is a hero"Propping duties for everyone...Enough..If they had stopped the propping crap and allowed the other characters to treat Ryan the way he deserves....maybe I'd feel differently about the character because I do like CM, but they don't..Would it be so bad to give Kendall her backbone, her brain, her self-esteem, her confidence when dealing with Ryan..How about GL, Annie, Erica....I would pay to see Kendall call Ryan out on his abuse of her.... To stand up to him and let him have it with both barrels, then go for a custody battle that would blow our minds....Hell, wouldn't it have been fun if they would have allowed GL to pick Aidan over Ryan...OrHave Zach, Aidan, Jack anyone be allowed to win....call him on his crap...Ryan is the most propped character in daytime... Not to mention the most hated...I just don't see what is left for Ryan because quite frankly, I don't want him anywhere near Kendall and not because I love Zen, but because Kendall is his biggest victim..Annie deserves better than the guy who drove her insane...I see no other woman on canvas for Ryan... Maybe Taylor,but only because she could kick his butt, but they'd probably turn her into a Stepford Bride doing nothing but singing his priases...I wish they would cut their losses and lose Ryan...PV would be a more interesting place and imagine no one having Ryan propping duties... Hell, they might be allowed to have some interesting storylines....JMHO
