Well, I've written, called, emailed all the usual suspects to no avail. In one of the most illogical moves ever, AMC is parting ways with Bianca, a legacy charcater, that was decimated by Pratt and his minions for Reese a character that is detested by the masses, has no ties to Pine Valley and was so poorly written it was painful to watch. It caused me to fast forward through all of Thorsten Kaye's scenes.What a waste of his talent to be paired with this empty gesture of a character. Why is Zach hanging around this empty headed waste of screen time ? Does Pratt think pairing her with Thorsten Kaye will make her popular? It will tear down even further whatever is left of his character's integrity. Does he think he can resurrect her character if she stays. Pratt should be spending time rectifying the mess he made of Bianca and her relationship with her sister, allowing Zach and Kendall to fix their marriage without the presence of this offensive lying piece of baggage. If she's confused about her sexuality , a roll in the hay isn't going to cure her...therapy, Pratt, therapy!I cannot picture Zach a highly complex, sophisticated character being stuck with this wet dish rag. She's described as a strong woman? Really? Her constant pathetic whining and crying tell me something else.As for Tamara Braun's integrity being in question with her fans....well if she has any and has any grace at all she'd leave..yesterday.I WANT HER OFF MY SCREEN!

I agree with everything said. I have no grudge against TB. But she did make a big deal that the only reason she signed on was to do the groundbreaking lesbian story. More recently she was quoted as saying she wanted to move on to something that resonated with her--which I took to mean this isn't resonating with her. She has repeatedly insisted that Reese is a lesbian and loves Bianca. I believe TB has enough integrity to leave if Pratt makes her straight or bi and has her pursue Zach. In any case, the true villain in all this is Pratt. He lies to everyone about everything. It has been said that he adores TB. If this is how he treats people he loves, no wonder he has completely screwed over people he doesn't love such as ER and TK--and most of all, the fans.

You know, there is something else that makes this even more disgusting and that is the message Pratt is sending with this story and with the character of Reese..That a lesbian will turn straight or bi if you throw a hot guy into the mix.. That's total BS....GMAFB.... It's disgusting...Reese is disgusting....AMC has made a joike out of their ground breaking character Bianca with this and Reese is just plain vile..

I will give Pratt this and only this, he did not have enough time to develop this storyline to the extent that it should have been It's a very complex condition. We were given one or two scenes with Reeks parents and we were supposed feel a great deal of empathy for her because her parents didn't understand her choice? Excuse me but this is not a lifestyle choice.. being sedentary,smoking, drinking and overeating that leads to obesity, lung cancer and alcoholism are lifestyle choices, not being gay.If Pratt, that's a big if, truly wanted to explore this same sex storyline he would have had more interaction with Reeks parents.What about their hopes and dreams for their child? What about their need to keep their child safe from ridicule,derision and being an outcast from society. Maybe those are selfish things, but very real concerns of all parents regardless of the sexual orietation of their chldren but a bigger concern for those parents whose children are gay. What about the death threats gay people get especailly actors. What about Matthew Shepherd the college student who was tied to a fence and beaten and left to die. He was someone's son. Instead of writing a thought provoking sympathetic storyline that at least respected these human beings Pratt reduced this storyline to a tittilating, shallow and laughable SnL skit. All I see when looking at this storyline is Joey and Chandler sitting in their lounge chairs watching porn.Pratt reduced Bianca, a legacy character, Erica Kane's daughter to a betraying bi#$@tch that cannot be redeemed or return to PineValley anytime soon for Reese? I don't for one minute think poor Eden Riegel even thought about staying after what Pratt did to her character. And the loud and universal outrage of fans that Tamara Braun is staying on ,for however a short period of time, should tell Mr. Pratt he screwed up big time.No one Mr. Pratt wants to see your pet not after what you did to Bianca and Zach.

I think your friend has the right idea. AMC does not deserve a GLADD nomination. This story is homophobic and and belittling to gay and lesbians. The negative message of this story had competely overtaken anything that was good about it. I hope they convince them to take back the nomination. It's more of a step back than it is a step forward.

Pratt should be called out. As others have pointed out he has ruined great relationships and damaged characters for Reese and her relationship with Zach. And as it turns out neither Reese or her relationship Zach are popular.

Cararn, reading your post brought a tear to my eye... Actually, it made me cry because I remember the Matthew Sheppard story. What happened to him was horrible and should never happen again...but it will because their are stupid, bigoted, idiots in this world..It also made me sad because this was a golden opportunity for AMC...They had two terrific actresses on board to tell what should have been an amazing, socially relevant story that fans could love, learn from, and maybe even some finding understanding of others lifestyles, but no...Pratt had to lie to viewers and to ER/TB to get them onboard, only to spit on gay/lesbian couples and their RL issues..He wrote this story as if being gay is a choice...and it's not....People don't choose to be gay, straight, or bi....anymore then you can choose the color of your skin....It's sad.... I talked to my friend everyday and she is so angry....She's angry because Pratt/AMC have made a joke of her life...Her partner really went balastic and was the one who said that he made it seem as if all you need to stop being a lesbian is too throw a hot guy into the mix, let them pay attention to you, and bam....the questions start...BSThey should cut thier losses and send Reeks away together....not BB leaving and Reese staying..The across the board outrage at the news that Eden was leaving, but Tamara was staying a bit longer is bigger than any anger I've seen concerning AMC in 30+ years that I've been watching..Pratt made Reese the character no one could care for from the get go, and yet, it seems he doesn't care that not only has he destoryed his own credibility, put the shows credibility, and put TB credibility into question..This situation seems to be getting worse everyday with no one doing a damn thing to stop it..I just don't know if AMC will be able to survive Charles Pratt... I really don't.. and that too is sad..

BB is out, Reek is in for a few more months..Contract or no, no one wants anymore Reek... .He ruined his own creation and the right thing to do would be send her off with BB...Sad, Pratt has sucessfully decimated a longtime fan fav to the point that even her own fans hate the character now...I just want to hear something from someone at ABC/AMC admitting they screwed up. Apologizing to fans and the actors/actresses, and really fixing what they broke, and not by putting bandaids on this mess...Never happen, but it might go a long way with viewers if say, Anne Sweeney were to come out and admit mistakes were made, fans were lied too, etc...Coming from Frons it would only be just another lie...

There have been to date four, four deaths on the show since Pratt started airing his storylines in October;there are two more to come. I am not trying to make too much of that. Reese is staying a bit longer...what does that mean? If they had similar contracts, Eden WOULD be leaving sooner because she arrived first. I strongly doubt that TB is going to be around much longer.

However, I do agree..if TPTB asked Eden to stay longer to match TB's contract and so they could leave together, I doubt Eden would be eager to do anyone any favors here. It's the biggest mess ever.

See everyone need to take their eyes off of Reese as being the spoiler. She'll be leaving soon. There has been no announcement that TB has extended her contract. She came on AMC two weeks after ER, so IMO she'll be leaving shortly after. If there is anyone to watch out for would be Ryan. This throwing rocks and chasing Zach up a tree was done on purpose. The purpose is to give Ryan some rooting value, which he is never going to get. This is the back door way Pratt is planning on bringing Ryan in the middle of Zendall so that CM/Ryan can have the triangle he's probably always wanted with them. See everyone of Ryan's pairings have failed since Kendall and no one is going to watch Ryan unless he's connected to Zendall in storyline. This Zach/Ryan rivalry with Kendall in the middle is suppose to be the biggest just like Pratt's "Groundbreaking" Lesbian storyline, yeah right. No matter what out of character thing Pratt is doing to Zach, the fans will cheer Zach on harder and throw rocks at Ryan because they truly do not like the character. Ryan/Cam is NOT a lead actor and will never be. Just the fact that we're doing the same story we've done twice already tells me AMC is done. The show has lost all credibility and the writing is horrible and to give this guy yet another story tells me they still don't get it. How many stories has this guy ruined? Every one he's in and yet they keep trying.Watching the marathon on Kendall is past weekend I had to laugh at how bad he was back then and he's still bad. Why anyone would want him with Kendall is beyond me and if they start Kendall being all about Ryan again I think a lot of viewers will just tune out. They've run out of stories for Ryan so they send him back into Zendall story...which is just another mistake..Let's face it, Ryan has destroyed every woman he's been with..Kendall tried to kill herself.GL went nuts, then left, went nuts again, agreed to marry him, then he sends her to her death..Annie went nuts...They've tried to give Ryan a story of his own that didn't involve being propped and look what happened.... Ryannie vs Ritchie had legions of fans cheering for Ritchie to take out Ryan...Right there should have told them that their golden boy wasn't so golden with fans..By the looks of things to come, Ryass will be back to doing the same ish he's done from day one..Nothing is his fault..Blaming Zach and trying to destory him, by way of Kendall.He will be insinuating himself back into Kendall's life. GL is dead, he's miserable, Annie is a nutcase so his biggest victim, will be his victim again...Ryass wlll be telling Kendall what he thinks she should do, etc and it will piss fans off more...I would love too see Kendall just once, be allowed to kick his useless [censored] to the curb..Here's an idea...."Who Killed Ryan" story... fans would love it.. .In fact, I think the ratings would skyrocket just to get that useless character off the show, but Ryan has too really die....There is nothing they can do that will ever make Ryass popular again.... I do agree Ryan is not a lead/hero actor. Granted Cam is seems an affable man, he certainly is very attractive but has no ability to carry a storyline. I've been watching soaps, and AMC, for thirty one years...I actually was eight years old. I didn't much understand what was going on but I still watched with my grandmother probably because I wanted to spend that time with her. But my reasons for watching have become more sophistcated and looking at handsome men wasn't one of the reasons. Ryan's Hope was the catalyst for wanting more sophisticated soap telling. Even my grandfather loved that show of course he was as Irish as they come. But the writing and the acting certainly spoiled me. Thus my love of Thorsten Kaye, David Canary, Vincent Irrizary, Michael E. Knight , Darnell Williams, Debbie Morgan, Alicia Minshew gorgeous men and women, but ther acting abilities far transcend their looks and are deserving of better than recycled, faded and charcater destroying storylines.The rest of the viewing audience probably feels the same, otherwise why complain about plot driven storylines and OOC behaviors and disrespect for show history and trying to make superficial actors into the lead.The fans have been telling Frons and the HW of AMC for years about Ryan but it just falls on deaf ears.The ship has sailed that was Ryan the Magnificient. Disembark writers!We want Zendall, Adam, David, Angie, Jessie, my Taddy,Jack and Erica in an adult storyline and.......I'll admit it, I am showing some interest in Aiden and Annie. Let's get rid the so called ground breaking storylines, Reese/Bianca (PLEASE!), CBGs whatever the hell they are and write real character driven storylines. Are these writers capable of it?
