The Genoa City Rehab Center: Wowsers. Did the PTB do any research at all on this issue? I've not been to rehab, but I have a close friend who has been in and out of it, and there are a few "problems" with this storyline:
1. Cell Phones: a given. One can't be communicating with those people/ situations that are a "threat" to your sobriety.
2. Male/Female residents meeting privately in rooms. Yeah, a BIG no no. LOL
3. Third parties (spouses or not) giving orders as to who can or can't visit you. That is up to the resident and their counselor.
4. No one can visit a resident until they have been in the program at least 30 days. In some cases, it's 60 days.
Those are the rules for STATE rehabs, if the exclusive rich rehabs are run the way GC is, no wonder Lindsey and Brittany ran out so quickly - where is the freedom to actually rehabilitate your thought processes if the external problems that drove you to substance abuse are still accessible to you?!
The get-hitched-quick-and-cash-in plot:
Ok, so I can drug Victor, whisk him off to Vegas, get married even though it's apparent that he's not sober or thinking clearly for himself, and grab a picture. I could even kill him on the way home from the wedding ceremony.
However, if I didn't have him change his will BEFORE we left, when he dies, his Kids still get all the dough. I can put it in court for years and freeze the assets, but that is the ONLY power I possess. LOL
Feel free to add your own thoughts to this. LOL
So here's my thinking...cause this is all just too implausible to me otherwise. I think that Victor knows what she's up to. We haven't seen hide-nor-hair of Murphy since he started the morse code with Ronan. Today Kay was all "oh he's in a rehab facility...it's fine...it's for the best". Here's my thinking, Murphy was able to clue in Ronan on Meggie. Ronan went straight to Victor (off camera) and they worked out this whole plan to snare Meggie in her own plot. Too convienent that someone would come to the plane, not question Victor at all, and let them marry without a question. Everyone and their dog knows who Victor is and who he's with so no way a no-name person could suddenly fly in under the radar and get him to marry her. And Victor's "drunken" act is a bit to easy...I love you too, baby? Really, when the hell did Victor ever call anyone baby? Darling, my sweet sure but never baby! So that's my two cents...we'll see if I'm right or not. Knowing this show...probably not!

I guess so, Just saw the spoilers and it looks like we are right, tomorrow is gonna be a great one to watch.
I think you are right. The only way this works is if Victor is letting this play out and is clued in on whats going on. Eric Braeden has been very vocal in the past about not letting his character look stupid so thats the only way I see this working. I really want a scene where Nikki kicks Meggie's azz.
Well guys don't want to spoil anything but you are walking down the right road and that is all I will say on this.
Wow! Glad won't have to deal with this storyline long. Good. I used to love Sean Young and now can't stand her. But I do like Deacon and Nikki.
I like Deacon and Nikki as friends.....not so sure as lovers. I think he and Phyllis is much more hot together.....On another note, its been a lonnnnnng long time since I have given kudos to the great Victa Newman but I must say that he was off the hook when he shocked the hell outta Meggie's (and me too) azz. You go Victa....hahahah
Me too---Gawd it was a long time coming! I could have strangled her through the set myself so many times. Victor will have a field day with her and I can't wait to watch it.

I have to say that I think Kay and Ronan got to Victor and he is acting this out. They are trying to trap the Meggot for her misdeads..Murphy tapped his little message out and then was whisked away. this would play along well with Nikki being with Deacon, since she is going to be told Vic married Meggot, leave the center and go drink and be in a shady hotel with Deacon since Vic wasn't honest with her blah blah blah...November sweeps. Yet possibly another see through storyline, what do you think
