I just got done watching GH's stand alone episode with Maxie and Spinelli.
I laughed AND cried. I won't give it away for the West Coasters, but this was one episode well worth watching!
I agree. Maxie & Spinelli have captured that chemistry that alot of people are looking for...weather it be a boyfriend girlfriend relationship or BFF's. I want to see them be a couple and I want to see that happen soon. LOL.But I suppose I could wait till sweeps if I have to. LOL Oh and grandma53...I see we also share an the love of GH as well.
Yes and I have watched for a number of years and seen characters come and go and go and come, and seen actors and actress pass on but I do like the show and one of my fav songs is the Rise from the Luke Rapes Laura seen many year ago.
Ya me too. I have been watching GH for about 30 or 32 (if I calculated that right) years now. Omg...that makes me sound soooo old, LOL
Yesterday's show was wonderful. It was just fun which is something we haven't had in a long time. Nice to see three core families celebrating the season. The Scorpios are a new and growing family, just the basics with the Spencers (including a call from Laura) and the Quartermaines are always good for the holidays. Monica finally seeing Alan made me laugh and cry. No mob violence, chaos and general nastiness to each other. Spinelli and Maxi were perfect for the roles of Santa's helpers. Just a feel good episode to bring in the holidays.

Monica finally seeing Alan made me laugh and cry. I'm a little confused. You said that the Scorpios are a "new and growing family." They have been around off and on for a long time. While Baby Emma and Patrick are new to the family, Anna and Robert have been around since the early Luke and Laura days. They are the original crime fighters/adventures on the show.
But the Scorpios have never been considered a core family. It was always the Spencers or the Quatermaines that were shown celebrating holidays.
I have to disagree with you on the Scorpio's not being a core family. Doesnt Robin Scorpio count? She celebrates holidays.
The only people that didnt get anything was the people that needed it. I wish Sam would have gotten wat she wanted. Ever since I watched it I always wanted Sam & Jason to get back together. And I kno thats wat Sam wanted she would have wished for her & Jason to be together. And then wat about Carly and Sonny all they want is their son Michael to wake up and be with them again.

The Scorpios have always been a core family. What's Mac? Chicken liver? He's a core character from a core family. All because he married into the Jones family doesn't mean he isn't a Scorpio.
Gotta agree as well. While there was a time that the Scorpio's were not on-screen, the very name is synonomous with GH every bit as much as Spencer/Quartermaine/Baldwin/Webber, and even Vining. What I see is that Guza and team might be realizing that the Scorpios are just plain interesting just as they are-nary a gun in sight.
Exactly! They are very much a part of GH. I guess it would be the "younger" viewers that wouldn't understand just how much of a core family they are. I miss seeing Amy Vining's face at the nurse's desk spreading gossip. I couldn't have laughed more growing up. Anna and Robert don't need guns to fight crime. They just use karate. ROFL!

I wouldn't say ancient...how about well-seasoned?!?! LOL
The show was amazing. I just can't believe how good it was. Monica and Alan fighting, how typical. It was a great gift to the fans of the show and to the past. What a tribute. Would have been nice if they had Steve's voice doing reading the Christmas story. That was the GH that we all love and miss. Spinelli is the heart and sole of that show now I believe and he and Maxie wow! Do they work so well with each other. What a show and I think I have been watching for over thirty years too. I remember Monica cheating with Rick and when it was a different Monica. Unreal.
Didn't Monica cheat on Alan with Rick, but was cheating on them both with Sean Donnely at one point??Wow! When you think of it, that woman has some mileage!!!!

I believe Monica cheated on Alan with Rick and than with Sean but never at the same time. I could be wrong but I am pretty sure she wasn't that bad.
Hi Everyone! Just joining you all!General Hospital is my favorite soap, been watching since Iwatched with my mom back in the 60's!The Quartermain's are such a fun family! I remember Monicaseemed to cheat with everyone, but then so did Allan. Remember Monica is not Jason's biological mom!I agree Spinelli has become the heart of the show. I hope he& Maxie really get together. Nothing like falling in love with your best friend!
Hi fanmail nice to have ya aboard. I think falling in love with your best friend can turn out to be one of the best relationships. I definaltey think that with Spenelli and Maxie. I love how she always sticks up for him with everyone that gives him a hard time. It's so sweet!
Maxie-Claws will be coming out soon. I'm not saying how, when, or anything (you should be getting SoD anyway to know...LOL)I fell in love with my best friend. Going on 17 years.
I fell in love with my best friend also, and as hard as I tried, there was no denying it, it's been 13 years and 3 kids, and still crazy in love, LOL So hopefully Maxie wont be able to deny it for much longer. And she better come to that realization before someone else catches Spinelli's eye, hint, hint.
Thanks for the hint. Congrats on the long lasting relationship!
Thanks for the congrats But it's not as easy as it sounds.
You are soooo right!! At least you don't have the drama like GH in your life.

I watched most of it myself, I like Spinelli and Maxie together they are quite funny and I did enjoy the way the spread good spirit to all those who were feeling down at this time of year. I guess Spinelli does bring out the good in Maxie. Good for you Spinelli.
