Getting to Know You: Bryton [James] (Devon, Y&R)

On Y&R, Bryton plays a rebellious foster child, but in real life, the actor comes from a tight-knit family, is an accomplished recording artist and made his sitcom debut at age 3 on FAMILY MATTERS. Here’s a sneak peek at some of the teen’s likes and dislikes.

Thin Crust Or Thick Crust: “I like thick crust because of it’s thin, I tend night to finish the crust part of the pizza. But if it’s thick and fluffy, I like to eat it.”

Beach Or Pool: “Pool. I’m not too fond of sand getting everywhere [laughs].”

City Or Country: “I’m a city boy. I grew up in Orange County, which isn’t really a city. One of my favorite places in the United States is New York. I just love the big city.”

Sitcom Or Drama: “I can’t chose one over the other. I love sitcoms, but after being a part of a [daytime] drama right now, and seeing the acting abilities that go into it, and how well the characters can make me believe what’s actually going on, it has been a lot of fun to watch and study.”

Morning Person Or Night Person: “Night owl, definitely [laughs]. There’s a lot of 6:30 a.m. calls, which make it a little difficult to try and get into character, especially if scenes call for something really emotional. I prefer the night.”

Coffee, Tea Or Milk: “None. I don’t drink any of the three. In a coffeehouse scenes, Christel [Khalil, Lily] always gets Coke in her mug. They give me coffee, but I’m always faking the drinking part [laughs].”

Carnivore Or Herbivore: “Carnivore. I like meat.”

Peanut Butter: Smooth Or Chunky: “I’m not a real big fan of any kind of nuts, so I like creamy peanut butter better.”

Plan Or Go With The Flow?: “It’s good to plan some things, but a lot of things it’s just good to go with it and see what happens because sometimes that’s when the best outcomes come about.

Jamie Foxx Or Jim Carrey: “Jim Carrey. Jamie Foxx is an incredible actor, but Jim Carrey’s been around just a tad bit longer and done a little bit more. In Jim Carrey’s profession of being a comedian, there’s no one better.

CSI: The Original, MIAMI Or NEW YORK: “I’d say NEW YORK because I love New York so much.”

Truth Or Dare: “Truth because you can get into a lot more trouble with dares [laughs].”
