Honestly? I think that Steve would be a much more interesting and usable character without being stuck to a bland character like Kayla. Her character is just boring. There is no fire between them. He looks more engaged when on screen with Bo than with Kayla! Nothing against the actress but there comes a time when certain characters have outlived their usefulness and are holding other characters back. I think that is now the case with Kayla.

I respectfully disagree. I think she has lots of fire, especiallly when she is fighting for what she thinks is right. Remember the confrontations with EJ? Or the love scenes with Steve over the past few months? Talk about fire! As for outliving her usefulness and holding other characters back, I think it's just the opposite. She has proven herself to be a competent doctor, a loving family member, and a devoted wife and mother. She is the ying to Steve's yang, his conscience and partner. Or we can agree to disagree.

Ava's cute. She reminds me of Mariah Carey. I hope they got some long term plans for her.
