Yes, but Carly & Sonny aren't that type. Besides, Michael's an adult now & they have no control over what he does. The sad thing is this monstrous behavior is due to his brain injury & heightened by the emotional trauma of killing Claudia. The biggest mistake since he woke up is not getting him into therapy to deal with all of it (getting shot, being in a coma for a year, his parents' both having babies) & especially now, after killing Claudia. They know this "this proves I can handle the business" stuff is just a bluff to cover how upset he really is over killing another person & yet, they've done nothing to get him the help he needs. By now, Carly should see that Sonny's "help" is doing more harm than good. But, of course, now is too late.
Even though Carly and Sonny aren't the type, that may be THE best reason to do it!! I think it would be great if Jason talked to Mikey poo and encouraged him. JMHO
It is probably the best idea, but of course it will never happen. So how will Michael become "whole" again, or will he move down the path that Jason did and replace him as PC's resident hit man? Short of a miracle (another hit to the head?), without counseling Michael will never heal and he'll only get worse. Now he's one tick short of being a danger to his sister Kristina and Carly and Josslyn could be next. I'm so tired of Sonny's "handling" of this situation. He's giving Michael the same suck it up and deal with it garbage that he's giving Jason. Sonny seems to forget that he was given the time to see a shrink and get his medication right. Sonny needs a basic parenting 101 course because it's apparent that he just doesn't get it. For all of her faults, it looks like Alexis was right to keep Kristina away from her father. Now that Kristina's grown and can understand the situation, she's not liking her father too much. Unfortunately, it looks like the Michael character is being painted into the same corner as Claudia and the only way to resolve the situation will be to kill him off.
Not quite the same as Claudia. More like AJ. The apple didn't fall far despite the fact that AJ had no part in raising Michael. He's exactly like AJ, except that he & his father are close. He's insanely jealous of Dante & he hasn't yet learned Dante's his brother. It will get worse. He adores his sister just as AJ adored Emily & he's got that same inherited weakness for booze that is so prevalent in both his biological families & ultimately had a hand in killing AJ. If it follows the pattern, he will end up dead before his time. But, Michael has one thing AJ didn't have. His mother is a never say die person. She will do everything she can to stop him before he self destructs. As strong as Monica is, she did nothing to stop AJ from going down that road, mainly because her guilt over all the ugliness surrounding his conception nullified her maternal instincts where he was concerned. Carly's not burdened by that. So, Michael does have a decent shot. And, Michael also has Jason, who more than makes up for Sonny's shortcomings.
Ok, Sonny you are so stupid and far more arrogant than I ever gave you credit for. All I hear when you tale is "wah wah, wah, waa" (think the peanuts cartoons and teh teacher "voice"). Pull you rhead outta your butt and see what is really going on. Olivia, leave Sonny alone. He is no good for you!!! You are far too smart (although the writers have not done you well the last few months) for the likes of him. Johnny is a far mnore mature and better match for you than Sonny.Overall I have been SO BORED!!!
Let's hope Dante's sting works out and Sonny is hauled off to jail for a very long time, and no PTB, we don't want to see any jail scenes. Just send his azz off forever. GH can do do without him.
First, I must say Spinelli looked quite dapper at the church. There is soemthing about a man in a suit and a nice scarf. He cleans up well.Jax is a dork for not having told Dante that he had been outed. That must be one of the most irresponsible moves. I loved the scenes with Dante and Sonny. I loved Dante telliong Sonny he had absolutely no respect for him. Classic.Loved the scene with Olivia and Lulu in the church. Kristina and Sam, was ok. Liekd how Sam tried to tell Kristina that Keifer is a loser.
I have to say one thing in defense of Sonny. It's not much, but he needs all the points he can get. I loved what he said in the hospital chapel when he was talking to God. How he acknowledged that regardless of Dante being his son, that what he did was unforgivable & he more or less asked God to spare Dante because of the good man he was. It's the first time I think I saw Sonny really act like the world doesn't revolve around him after all. It should be good to see him taking responsibility for his wrongs & acting to protect his children. Of course, it'll be more interesting to see what Dante does when he realizes that Michael really is the one who killed Claudia & when, somewhere along the way, he learns that Sonny wasn't responsible for Lt. Poletti's death. Assuming Sonny isn't actually going to prison, that will probably have to be addressed. I still think Ronnie might either have something to do with it or know who really did it. One other note. I actually laughed when Robin got upset because Patrick knew Dante was Sonny's son & didn't tell her. It continued when she asked why he didn't tell her. In the early days of their relationship, he would've simply said, "Uh...because you're the town crier & the self-appointed stork of Port Charles, reuniting fathers & sons all over town." Instead, I had to be content with that look of, "Oh crap! How do I answer this so I don't end up sleeping on the couch tonight?"
Remember when Jason and Franco were having it out and Franco was talking to the camera after Jason left? He told that story about how he went to prison when he was 18 for a crime he didn't commit. After he got out, he decided to kill a man just to see how it felt, and he didn't feel anything.
Maybe the man he killed was Mr. Poletti, and Ronnie helped him cover it up by diverting Dante and getting him to charge Franco only with "tagging".
I 've been loving the Dante/Sonny/Olivia story and all the repercussions of the last few days. Say what you want about Sonny, but he can really display great emotion when the situation warrants. JMO
Good call on Franco being the one who killed Mr. Poletti. Makes perfect sense because its obvious Sonny didn't do it.
Maybe I miss understood, but I thought Mr. Pollitti (sp?) was killed years ago. Like when Dante was a young teen??I had wondered when Franco talked about going to prison for a murder he did not commit if that was it? He hates Sonny for some reason. I thought maybe he knew Sonny had that cop killed but Franco got the time. He went to jail for something he didn't do & became one crazy man. Decided to do what he was accused of, didn't feel a thing & became & enjoyed being a nut. I don't believe Sonny remembers all the people he killed or had killed. He said he didn't remember but IF he did he (Mr. P) deserved it.I have been real sick And on lots of meds so I know I missed a lot. But as I remember in my drug induced state when Franco did his tape of himself thinking, " I bet he went to jail for killing that old man that Dante looked up too.." ??
My understanding is that Franco went to jail for a store robbery that Ronnie committed right before Ronnie got accepted to the police academy. Lt Poletti, I thought, got shot before Dante became a cop, when he was a teen, and he witnessed it.
The part about Dante being young when Lt. P was shot was the way I understood it too....Franco's frame up, I have no idea about. The first I heard if it was when he spoke to the camera making the dvd, so I thought that may have been who he was framed to kill. ?? I'm so lost on all my shows. I have been so drugged up that I'm not real sure of anything.
This is GH afterall, and look who the writers are. AT this point anything is possible. I a just sick of Sonny not being held accountable and all of a sudeen"what did I do? woes me". Its crap. Nothing against MB he is an excellent actor, but gee whiz. Right now I see that the cahracters are almost too interwoven. Therefore if **SPoiler Alert!!** Johnny and Carly did sleep together s they are predicting, not a real shocker cause they run in the same circles. Will that also destroy her and Olivias friendship? Will that make Olivia the baddass chick I know she is?? As far as the DVD with Franco, sigh, almost too long in between for that to even be effective.

This was just some crazy idea that occured to me.Different observation...did anyone see "Coleman" on Modern Family last night? Talk about looking good! Love him!
Yes I did see our Coleman on Modern Family....looking good in his hard hat.
I saw him too and yes indeedy he was looking good. Now, he needs to get his butt back to GH so we can get some more karaoke!
I just have to say how much I enjoyed the Dante/Morgan scenes in the hospital. It was so realistic to have Morgan ask Dante if he was really his friend or was just using him. I also can't wait to see scenes of Kristina & Dante. I know she'll be dealing with the Keifer mess but I hope there are scenes coming up with these two soon. Dante's history with Morgan & Kristina had a sibling undertone prior to the news coming out. Plus I think it will make Michael flip his lid even more b/c his siblings truly like Dante and understand he was doing his job and that Sonny is the one in the wrong with everything.
Kitty, I agree!I just caught up for the week and, for the most part, thought it was OK.the Kids were excellent.Laura Wright and Lisa LoCicero were fabulous.Loved Sam the hooker, but the gun stealing was sillySonny saying he was gonna stay for his son instead of running were silly as well. He Made a choice to not save Michael by fleeing jurisdiction. Sonny, and everyone else for that matter, running around saying Dante was shot by Sonny is just stupid. And as for Dante saying it was self-inflicted...only in Guza-induced GH does that happen.
Dante is a smarter cop than to let SOnny just "hang" for one offense. It has always been the more the better especially for criminals of Sonny's caliber. So that whole thing is a "doh" moment to me.Also, on a side note, some folks were tlaking about the "shut the front door"omment. I have heard for years on What Not to Wear by Stacey. Just FYI. I will say it was entertaining, but again a little much for SAm to be covering Sonnys's sorry butt.
What's the "shut the front door moment"? I don't get it.
When Sam was in PCPD the cop said something and she responded 'Shut the Front Door". On another thread folks were commenting about it.
'Shut the Front door' ...at least where I come from, has been around since I was a kid. I meant 'Shut your f****ng mouth'.N ow it is generally used as a polite way to say shut up!
Thanks for the explanation guys! NOW I remember Sam saying that ...I was having a "duhhh" moment, I guess!
Seeing Bobbie, so briefly, at Jocelyn's christening got me to thinking how strange it is that she does not have a more prominent role in the show. Being Carly's mother, you'd think she would be front and center, especially with all the troubles her daughter is having...not to mention the grandkids aspect, and when Claudia kidnapped Carly, and her being Luke's sister, Lucky's and Lulu's aunt, etc. She should be seen around GH as well, being as how she's a nurse. She's been absent for so long that I had almost totally forgotten about her.
I don't recall what the story was with Jackie Zeman's status on the show, but it seems to me that Carly's mom should be there. Any thoughts?
I agree, but it is similar to Monica and Edward as well. It seems the older they get, the less they are featured. hmm???Also, I am not liking that Lisa chick at all. Has anyone else noticed her resembalnce to Kate? Seriously just cut her hair shorter and dye it darker and they could really pass for sisters. JMHO.
I'm glad Bobbie is not a regular. I can barely stand to look at her after those 300 facelifts/reconstructive surgeries she has had. She is really not enjoyable to look at. JMO
Story wise, I still think that the character of Bobbie would be of some importance in support of Carly and the rest of the family...even if they just mentioned her name occasionally. She lives in the same town, for Pete's sake. It must be the mother in me talking.
Please don't misunderstand...I'm not campaigning to bring Bobbie back to the canvas. I'm just observing that it strikes me as a little strange.

ROTFLMAO You totally outdone yourself on that one Paul....LOL
This is probably a pretty silly thing to say, but, even with all the good stuff going on lately, I miss Franco! That guy really grew on me!
Opening credits I was very disappointed at the line up. I think seniority should have been used for the credits. That leaves out preference of writers/ABC. I do understand they want to target the 18-49 age group in ratings which as a fan of GH I find discrimnetory (sp?).I also have a problem with Jason/Sam and still hope TPTB get their heads into light (if you get my drift). Then Liz needs to pull out of the mess she is and be the strong woman she is. Also that she is ready to move on past both Lucky and Nic. Lucky is ready for new adventures and Nic needs to move on also. Writers you have so much potential please USE IT.
I really liked Franco too.
I got a feeling he'll be back in a year or two. Probably not the same actor but the character will more than likely make another appearance. jmo
So I caught up this weekend (sorry Olympics took priority). I am liking this Claire. Anyone who can stun Diane, this makes for good TV. I am anxious to see the dealing between the three atoornieys.Sonny, just doesn't get it. He needs a major wake up call.Robin needs a wake up call too. Loved how Patrick laid her out at the hospital about her loyalty to Sonny. Loved how Steve and Lisa questioned her too. Isn't there a saying "that was then, this is now?" I get that she feels loyal to Sonny for helping her out, but at the same time, he shot an unarmed man (son or not) point blank. Uh, sorry, buh bye, time for jail. Love how Lulu stands by her man. They are a top notch couple.Kristina crushing on Ethan. No surprise. All girls crush on guys older than them. Its part of growing up. As for Sam telling ethan to backoff? WTF? Kristina needs to see that not all men are dirt bags like Keifer. Ethan isn't perfect, but at least he treats women with a little respect. I say let the crush happen, just don't go anywhere with it. Normal teen angst. So very sick of Michael.Kinda finding the Johnny antics humorous. Let's hope he doesn't get dead.Lucky, annoying. He just needs to be honest Liz and Liz has to deal with her anger. I really hope that the writers do write that her and Nik get together. She needs to be a woman, not a girl.Mostly this week was boring to me.
Ha, totally agree with every single word. And I don't think we have to worry about Johnny ending up dead. Everybody including Sonny's number one man (Jason) loves and respects him too much to kill him. Even Milo and Max like having him around.
One other thing about Michael, I think others may have mentioned this also, but i think Michael needs to be with the Q's. He needs to experience the BLOOD side of his family. I am also tired of everyone saying that Micahel and Dante are brothers. No they aren't. Morgan and Kristina are related yes, and Molly is a cousin (I think) and Micahel, is nothing, just a step brother, not blood like everyone keeps wanting to portray.

Michael & Morgan are brothers because they share the same Mother, Carly! They are half brothers, not step brothers. Also, Sonny adopted Michael, which makes him Sonny's son & Dante's brother! Molly is a cousin, Rick, Sonny's half brother is her father....
The one thing that I'm a little confused about on GH, is this whole thing with Dante and Sonny. In one breath he says he's going to make sure that Sonny gets put away for the murder of Claudia, but in his second breath he's lying on the stand about who shot him. Is he really serious about putting Sonny away or not?
I get all the blood relation stuff, but I don't recall SOnny ever officially adopting Michael. Now I could be wrong, there were a lot of years there I stoppped watching, but my point is, Michael needs to connect with his Quartermaine side of the family.
At this point, Dante thinks he has enough solid evidence to get Sonny convicted for Claudia's murder, and he said that he doesn't feel he needs to add to the charges by admitting that Sonny shot him. What...overkill???
Yeah Sonny adopted Michael along time ago when he was still the little red head Michael who had some sense..lol Michael is connecting with his Quartermaine family he is connected to Jason who is his blood uncle I think that is going to be the best we are going to get..lol
Yeah, but the thing that bothers me the most, is that I don't see that he has that much evidence against Sonny, when it comes to the whole Claudia murder. A lot of the evidence that he has is circumstantial. The one thing that would have put Sonny in jail, without a doubt, is him shooting a police officer. I liked Dante in the beginning, but now he just seems like a hypocrite. Sonny's always running around town telling people that none of this would have happened if he just knew that Dante was his son, but the truth is, none of it would have happened if Dante would have just arrested Sonny the night before the christening....with backup in hand. He wanted to give Sonny more time with his family, and that was his biggest mistake. That's not how the job of a police officer works...if you have the evidence and you have the warrant, you go out and get the criminal. Dante had a duty as an officer of the law to arrest the person that he believes is responsible for killing Claudia. He disregarded the rules and that was his mistake. I really hope that after they are done with Sonny, the DA goes after Dante for committing perjury on the witness stand. Let him and Sonny share a cell together, that would be perfect.
I completely agree with you, but the fact remains that Sonny didn't kill Claudia.
I realize that....but that's what Dante believes. My problem is, all the so-called evidence is circumstantial, so if Dante was that serious about putting Sonny behind bars, he wouldn't have lied on the witness stand. So sick of Dante, right now.
All of this comes full circle as Guza writes the police as idiots, and the criminals as the heroes. It is old, and it destroyed the best new character since Logan, and Cooper.
Ok-So I just saw a trailer for Kristina after her beating and she was in the hospital. I must say for anyone who hasn't seen it and you are interested I can try and post the link. But if you have ever known or been someone in an abusive relationship, her injuries will definately hit a cord. It made me want to cry, and I can honestly say I do not cry. But the emotion for once that Sonny shows, it appropriate for any father in ths situation. I will say again though if anyone is interested, be forwarned. I have a feeling this is going to end up quite interesting.
I wonder if she will accuse Ethan of doing it since he keeps brushing her off. I hope not.
Does anyone know the reason that Michael has been recast?
