This is a fantastic idea; since her family has all but disappeared (budget cuts). I think a quick casting for a new Austin (although I would like to see Peck return to this role), bring Carrie back Toute Suite, bring Roman off the back burner for crying out loud. Sami needs help, Rafe and Lucas won't be able to handle everyhing coming her way. Bring family back for SAMI.

Personally, I preferred Patrick Muldoon as Austin. I agree that it's ridiculous for Sami to have to go through this with only Rafe and occasionally Roman to get her through it. What mother wouldn't be there if her grandchild died?? They could have struck some kind of deal with Deidre Hall to at least come back for the funeral. Look how many times they've brought back Julie and Doug for one thing or another. It's so unrealistic not to have Sami's mother there for her. And in spite of all the bad blood between Sami and Carrie, this is just the kind of thing that pulls family members together, so it could be an opportunity for them to at least mend fences. Instead, they're bringing back Carly to cause trouble between Bo and Hope. I love Crystal Chappell, but give me a break!

Personally I prefer Austin out of the picture totally...though I did prefer Patrick Muldoon. I hated Austin Peck as Austin...but I was never a big Carrie Austin fan.I would prefer Carrie to have come to her senses and return with Mike. We could use another Horton on the show again.But yes I agree, It would be nice for Sami to have some family around again.
