That is easy. Phyllis caused the end of their marriage. Phyllis went after Nick even though he was married to Sharon. I really don't like Phyllis but I think she does bring something out in him that Sharon didn't. But I would like to see Phyllis feel threatened by Sharon and understand how Sharon felt when Phyllis went after Nick.

No Nick caused the end of his marriage when he shut Sharon out after Cassie died, if memory serves so much so Sharon took off and had a one night stand I believe.
Phylis didn't overtly go after Nick, they went to a wedding met up went back to Phylis's place played video games and discovered they had alot more in common than they thought. Besides it takes two to tango and. Also if memory serves it was Nick who came back to a roll in the hay she didn't make him stay.
As well as having Phylis feeling threatened by Sharon I do believe that is happening right now with this Victor thing.
You know as I remember they both did fight the connection they were feeling at first and I do mean they both felt the connection, so don't blame Phylis completely.
And don't forget good old Bradski, she has had the hot's for Sharon for a long time and I think she has had them for him also.

So in short I really don't think anyone is really to blame it was a matter of fate.

And no I don't think Nick and Sharon are a good match now cause Sharon has become, self rightous, self absorbed, and two faced. She can't up her mind whether to back Jack, or not but when it conveniences her well you know what she will do. I don't like the character she has become. I like her when she really stood up for herself with out trying to decide what is best for her she just did it and stuck to her guns.

At present time it appears that Nick is madly in love with his wife Phyllis and Sharon seems to have moved on with her husband Jack, so maybe they have learned that cheating is never the way to keep a marriage fresh and interesting. I agree 100% after the death of Cassie everything went wrong, Nick shut Sharon out Sharon supposedly found solice with someone else.

I don't think Phylis and Nick ever intended to happen, what happened it was just a connection they didn't realize was there. And they did try to fight it but it was bigger than both of them.

As for Sharon moving on with Jack I see that coming to an end soon then cue Brad. So Sharon won't be without anyone for long.
Besides the chemistry Nick and Sharon once had I really think is gone.

Sharon cheated 2 different times during their marriage and I think Nick did a couple of times too with Grace. I think they were both too young and definitely too immature to start off with. First off Grace to knowledge was only once (and it wasn't for her lack of trying) and that was when Nick was so drunk he had no clue what was going on (no excuse)
Grace was out to break up that marriage no matter what it took.
Then there was Phylis which unfortunately just happened.

Then there is Sharon, I believe she had three, Diago, the guy she had the one night stand with and then there was Brad. And as far as I can remember Sharon was still married to Nick when she slept with Brad however I have a feeling I am wrong about this however she hasn't been a saint.

I don't think you will Jack and Sharon together much longer, to me Sharon has become a selfrightous ****ch and when it serves her purpose she will side with Jack on anything, but not before saying how wrong it is.

I hate this "qaud" and feel that all the characters have been destroyed in attempting to make it work. Phyllis and Jack are shells of their former selves, watered down to make the current coupling make sense. Even Sharon and Nick are now shadows of their former selves.As for who's at fault for the break-ups, in my opinion Jack is the only one who was free and clear.Nick is not, because he was pretty terrible to Sharon when she lost his baby (that he refused to believe was his - he was sure it was the product of Matt's rape). IMO, this is when the problems started - they had both forgiven the past cheating. Then when Cassie died it was easier for Nick to go after Daniel for vengance than it was to comfort his wife.Sharon is not free and clear, she did turn to Brad for emotional support (and some smoochin') - but she did not sleep with him until after Nick had left her for Phyllis. Sharon and Jack just don't work for me. He is more like a father or a friend than the love of her life. They have no chemistry. Nick and Phyllis at least have heat on their side.

The only thing I not sure I agree with is all of the staying together and working on their marriages. Jack and Sharon do not belong together and never have. I think you misunderstood (or I worded it badly) - I blame Phylis for how she treated Jack, not for breaking up Nick and Sharon. For all of Phylis' misdeeds, I do not think she tried to break up Nick and Sharon. I just miss old, crazy Phylis, and feel like she's been twisted to fit into the role of Nick's wife.As for Jack, I can't help it, I have loved him since Terry Lester played him. Yes, he wears his heart on his sleave and rushes in without thinking (especially if he thinks a loved one has been wronged), but that's one of the things I love about him. He is fiercely loyal, and is usually punished for it. But let's be honest, Jack will never win because the writers love telling the story of Victor crushing Jack. Personally, I'm tired of "The Black Knight" always winning no matter how underhanded he is, or how crappy he treats everyone around him.
