Monday

When Marty hinted that she was hoping to end up in Todd's arms, he took that as an invitation to kiss her. His conscience got the better of him and he pulled away, apologizing for the buss. Marty told him there's nothing to be sorry about. Meanwhile, John and Blair shared a domestic beer on the Angel Square Hotel rooftop and reveled in their casual affair. Blair wondered what was eating at John and correctly guessed that he was thinking about the case he'd promised to drop. John explained that he has a responsibility to help people, then noticed that Blair still isn't wearing her wedding ring. Blair recalled who she was before Todd and was happy to get another chance at finding herself. Blair was still somewhat bothered that John had chosen to pursue this mystery woman, but shrugged it off, noting that it's not like John's in love with her or anything (Hmm...). They started making out and were soon heading downstairs to John's room.

Tina tried to get out of the glass room, to no avail, while Sarah asked Jessica who she was talking to. Jessica lied that Natalie is fast asleep and she was just begging Nat to stop snoring. Sarah wondered if Natalie was feeling okay and pointed out that she'd be more comfortable in a bed. Meanwhile, David Vickers the dog sniffed the remote control and started whimpering. Tina picked up the remote and turned on the TV, which revealed Tess and Sarah in the living room. Tess ushered Sarah outside, arguing that Natalie needs her rest, and lied that Tina's on a marathon shopping trip. Once Sarah was finally out of her hair, Tess visited a frantic Tina, who tried to get Tess to come to her senses. Tess smiled and unlocked the door, asking Tina if she's ready. But when Tina refused to help Tess with her sinister plan, Tess pulled out her secret weapon — one of the jewels that Tina stole from Mendorra. Tess asked what Tina thinks Carlo might do to, say, Sarah if he gets out of jail and learns that Tina has the jewels. Little did she know, Carlo was already free and was holding Cristian captive on a ship. When a sedated and chained-up Cristian started to stir, he tried to break free and kept swinging at Carlo, who coolly observed his captive. Cristian asked where they're going, but Carlo said he'd rather keep Cris in suspense. Tess, meanwhile, managed to blackmail Tina with her suggestions that Carlo could hurt Sarah, and forced Tina to help her drag Natalie downstairs as the dog watched.

Brody provoked Rex into punching him, which Shane walked in on. Shane immediately jumped to Brody's defense, and it was clear that Brody had gotten to the boy while Rex and Gigi were away. "Leave me and my dad alone!" he cried, reaming out Rex for ignoring Gigi's feelings and marrying Adriana. After Gigi tried to admonish Shane, he ignored her threats and shot Rex a dirty look before storming upstairs. Rex asked Brody just what he plans to do when the truth comes out that Brody faked the DNA test, but Brody insisted that Shane needs and wants only the father who he believed was dead his whole life. Gigi pleaded with them to stop arguing and asked Rex to leave her alone with Brody. While seeing Rex out, she promised that they would tell Shane the truth together when the time is right. When Gigi returned, Shane announced that he hates Rex and never wants to see him again.

Todd helped Marty sit back down on the bed and said he was afraid of moving too fast. He then surprised her by suggesting they leave town together and start new lives. As he offered that she can be anyone she wants to be, it was clear that he was really talking about himself. Marty admitted that the idea of starting over in a new place is alluring but recognized that it's not necessarily practical. Todd begged her to consider the idea and promised he'd never let John find her and hurt her again. Not having anything to lose, Marty agreed, just as the computer program that was digitally reconstructing her image completed.

Tuesday

Blair and John woke up and took another roll in the hay, just as the computer program was completing Marty's image back at the station. After making love, Blair told John how happy she is and they passionately kissed before the phone rang. Fish called to say that John's office is locked and he can't get in to check out the program. Before John took off, Blair noted that whoever Todd's mystery woman is doesn't know how lucky she is to have John as her guardian angel. Mayor Lowell arrived at John's office and found Fish waiting outside. He asked just what Fish is doing back at the Llanview PD. The computer whiz spun a story about how much he really misses working there and came to visit the acting commissioner. The mayor told Fish to get lost and go see Bo if he's really interested in getting his job back.

Todd brought a tray of breakfast to Marty and asked how she slept. She admitted that she'd had a dream about their future together. She couldn't believe that she, Todd and Starr's baby may just end up somewhere far away, but wondered how Starr would feel about not seeing her baby. Marty pointed out that if she cares for a baby, she views it as a lifetime commitment, but neither Todd nor Marty know what their future holds. She also reminded Todd of what he'd be leaving behind if he said good-bye to Llanview. He seemed pretty dead set on leaving nonetheless, and changed the subject by presenting Marty with a keyboard, revealing that she used to be a piano teacher. Marty was thrilled when she figured out the beginning of "Fur Elise" and offered to show Todd a few things. He awkwardly sat next to her on the bed and was soon playing "Heart and Soul."

Talia and Antonio welcomed Bo back to work, and the first question Bo had was why neither of them are currently working. Talia caught up Bo on the Mendorra mess; Bo couldn't believe that Talia is Carlo's daughter. She apologized for not sharing this fact with Bo sooner, but Bo said he knows what it's like to not be too proud of his father. Talia pointed out that there's really no comparison between Carlo and Asa. Nevertheless, Bo got both of them to agree to come back to work, just as Sarah ran in and claimed that something awful had happened to Cristian. After not hearing from him or being able to reach him, she was worried that he met with foul play at the airport. Talia assured her that he was probably just stuck waiting on the tarmac with a dead cell phone, but Bo seemed curious and agreed to look into Cristian's absence.

Tess found Tina trying to get into the safe at Llanfair but Tess had already changed the combination on the lock. Tina asked what Tess has planned for Natalie, who was just waking up in the secret room. Jared arrived in Bogot and tried to call Natalie, but her phone went to voicemail. He left a message explaining why he needs to help Clint. Meanwhile, Natalie ran around the room and tried the locked door, then yelled out, "Where the hell am I?" Tess explained to Tina that she plans to keep Natalie and Jared apart to pay them back for killing Nash. Tina wondered if Tess was considering committing murder and threatened to call Bo. Tess stopped her, urging her to think about "poor little Sarah" if Tina's theft is exposed. Tess assured Tina that she doesn't plan to kill her sister but has something far more devious in store. Meanwhile, Natalie found a package in the bathroom and tore off the wrapping paper; inside was a photo album. On the first page was a shot of Nat and Jessica. She turned the page to find an article about her from when she first came to town, then another and another. The book was a scrapbook documenting Natalie and Jared's sordid entries into the Buchanan family. Jared called her again and left a message explaining why he needs to help Clint. Natalie kept flipping through the book but threw it down when she saw a photo of a bloodied Nash. She looked up and was spooked to see Tess standing on the other side of the glass.

John returned to his office to find the mayor seated at his desk. He held up Todd's file and told John to keep out of Todd's affairs, then quit the computer program. Fish freaked when he realized that the mayor had quit without saving! Meanwhile, Blair was left to fend for herself in John's room and was grossed out when she accidentally dumped curdled milk into her coffee. After receiving a food delivery, she was looking around for a pen when she found a photo of John with Marty. She wrote a note about the milk she replaced, winking as she wrote, "Out with the old and in with the new." Meanwhile, Tina held a framed photo of her with Viki and apologized out loud for being such a bad sister. In the basement, Natalie didn't realize that Jessica had poisoned her and asked Jess to open the door. "Did you like your present? I worked really hard on that, Natalie," Tess sighed. When Natalie kept referring to her as Jessica, Tess explained that she's talking to the wrong person. Finally, it became clear to Natalie: Jess is Tess.

Wednesday

Talia and Antonio filled in Bo and John about Cristian's seeming
disappearance. When Sarah arrived, Bo said they had to consider the possibility that Carlo had Cristian. Bo got confirmation that Carlo had bought his way out of prison. Talia lamented that she hadn't killed her father when she had the chance. Bo gave his assent to let Talia and Antonio go after Cristian.

Cristian struggled against his restraints while taunting his captor, Carlo, about how much Talia hates him. Cristian reminded Carlo that he has many people who care about him and will come to save him.

In Bogota, Jared went to see Ray, Langston's uncle, in prison. Clint called and ordered Jared to go through with the plan despite the fact that Ray is in jail. Ray greeted Jared icily. Jared explained that he was there regarding Langston, his sister Linda's daughter. Jared offered to help Ray get out of jail on the condition that Ray threaten to take Langston away from Dorian. Ray said no but Jared tried to get him to change his mind.

By the pool, Starr complained to Langston about her pregnant form. Langston asked Starr to help her try to research the possibility of a missing relative. Talk turned to Cole's visit from the night before. Starr panicked that Cole had hooked up with Karen but Langston assured her that that was not the case. Langston explained that Cole definitely still had feelings for
Starr. Starr had major reservations about going back to school and the scrutiny of her classmates. Langston pledged her support and reported that she'd switched her schedule so that all of her classes would be with Starr.

Behind the glass pane, Natalie reeled from Tess's reemergence. Nat's pleas to Tess for clemency fell on deaf ears. Tess explained that she'd had the room Nat was in just for her but wouldn't reveal its whereabouts. Nat vowed that Jessica would return to save her, a notion Tess pooh-poohed. Tess said she was going to make Nat and Jared pay for what they'd done to her. She explained that she was going to keep them both alive, but unable to be with each other. Natalie scoffed that she would never leave Jared. "You already have," snickered Tess. She then left Nat locked in the basement. Nat collapsed in tears.

Tina ranted to Viki's picture about why she hadn't involved the cops with the Tess mess. Clint interrupted and Tina covered the reason behind her soliloquy. Clint dug at Tina's conscience by bringing up how she'd once covered for Niki Smith but had clearly come a long way. Tina was about to come clean with Clint when Tess returned.

Matthew was nervous about his first day of high school and sought
reassurance from Cole. Cole advised Matthew to do his own thing and not worry about the other pupils. Cole confided in Matt about his own concerns about the first day of school, namely seeing Starr.

Thursday

Dorian arrived home with shopping bags full of back-to-school clothes for
Starr and Langston. She noticed that Langston was very distracted and went
to see what she was doing. She picked up the list of Montezes, then told the
girl that she's wasting her time. Dorian backtracked and said there's just
no time to be looking for long-lost relatives when they have to get ready
for school. While the girls were looking at their clothes, Dorian looked
over the list of Montezes and saw that there was no address listed next to
Ray's name.

Meanwhile, Ray Montez asked Jared if there's any money in the deal, while a
disguised Carlo dragged an unconscious Cristian into the prison and told a
guard that he is the worst criminal in all of Colombia. Jared explained that
there's no money on the table, just his freedom. As Cristian came to, he warned Carlo that he'll never get away with this. Carlo told the warden that
Cristian's a trained assassin who killed his own cousin and needs to be
locked up right away.

Tina was ready to spill her guts to Clint when Jessica came in and lied that
she's so glad Tina's staying with them. Clint thanked Tina for being there
for his daughter. "It feels like I can count on you for anything," Tess
eerily told Tina, which Natalie saw on TV. Clint asked Tina why she was so
upset before, but Tina managed to deflect Clint's question and left him and
Jessica to catch up. She quickly returned, however, and announced that she
has something to say about Jessica and Natalie: They're both in big trouble.
Jessica had to think fast and admitted that she'd done something terrible to
Natalie. Tina urged her to confess and Natalie assumed that Jess had taken
over Tess. Just as the conversation became more confusing, Sarah rushed in
and declared that Cristian is missing and Carlo escaped prison. This was the
perfect opportunity for Tess to remind Tina that Carlo could go after
anyone. Tina jumped in and remarked that Natalie's been very pushy lately,
which made Clint wonder if he needs to have a chat with Natalie. Consumed
with worry, Sarah didn't know what was going on with Jessica and Tina.
Jessica lied to Clint that she thinks she was too hasty when she asked
Natalie to move in, and he agreed. Once everyone was out of the room, Tess
talked to the surveillance camera and told Natalie she's got everything
under control.

Rex arrived at the PD and asked if there's anything he can do to help them
find Cristian but Bo didn't want him involved. Bo advised Rex to sit down
and tell him why he's there, so Rex laid it on him: "My son hates my guts."
Bo couldn't believe what he was hearing and asked how Rex feels to know he's
a dad. Rex said he's happy to have Shane as a son but he wishes he'd known
all along. Bo asked about Brody, and Rex explained that Shane had grown
attached to his presumed-dead "dad." Rex wondered if Shane would be better
off never knowing about his real dad, but Bo recalled keeping his distance
from his late son, Drew, which he now regrets.

Gigi arrived at Rodi's only to learn that she no longer has a job there.
Brody persuaded the manager to give Gigi a second chance, but Gigi said this
doesn't change anything regarding her plan to tell Shane about Rex. Brody
was furious, and Gigi wanted to know how Shane pulled off the DNA match. He
said it wasn't that hard. When Gigi suggested that Brody only pretended to
be Shane's dad to win Gigi back, Brody hinted that she's mistaken. Rex
arrived and said he needs to talk with Gigi, but Shane sneered that they're
having a family meeting. "Well, I guess it's good that I'm here," Rex
answered.

Dorian showed Starr some lovely onesies that she bought for the baby, but
Starr saw through her attempt to change Starr's mind about the baby. Starr
told Dorian if she really wants to do something good for her girls, she
should help Langston track down her family members. Langston modeled another
one of her outfits and told Dorian how special she feels to be part of the
family, which makes her feel guilty for wanting to find her mom's family.
Dorian asked Langston if she would allow Dorian to legally adopt her.

When Jared saw Carlo, the warden introduced him to "Mortimer Bern." Jared
introduced himself as "Jeb Stuart," a name that Carlo recognized. Jared met
with a spiffed-up Ray and phoned Clint to tell him "it's done." The warden
led Cristian to his new cell, telling him, "There's no Cristian Vega here."

Friday

Shane coldly told Rex he doesn't care why Rex is at Rodi's and dropped the bombshell that he plans to have his last name legally changed to Lovett. Shane was unapologetically rude to Rex, and asked why it is that he's there again. When Rex didn't have a satisfactory answer, Shane became aggressive and tried to push Rex out of the restaurant. Gigi wanted to talk about what happened, but Rex told her to get back to her "family" and walked away sulking. She pulled Shane aside and tried to make clear that she's not "with" Brody and he can't get his hopes up about them being a family. Afterward, Brody claimed that Shane's decision to take his father's last name was his idea.

Layla went to the hospital to see Michael and apologized for getting him in trouble with Marcie. Michael told Layla she's got nothing to worry about and that his problems with Marcie started long before he had drinks with Layla. She gave him a big hug, and Marcie walked by just in time to witness it. Layla took that as her cue to leave. Michael asked Marcie if she came to see him, but Marcie informed him that she came to see Starr's ob/gyn. Their brief exchange escalated into an argument. After she shouted at him to leave her alone, she calmed down and admitted it was good to see him, then went in to see Dr. Joplin. After Marcie seemed so hopeful about the birth of Starr's baby, the doc was clearly troubled.

At the Angel Square Hotel, Roxy peered over Charlie's paperwork and asked about a "squiggly line" she spotted on one of the papers. He insisted on keeping his "work" private, then flashed back to a conversation with Brody about his secret. Roxy got all teary bemoaning her separation from Rex and Charlie offered her comfort, just as Rex walked in and announced that his son hates him. Roxy was confused, but caught on pretty quickly that Shane is her grandson. Rex accused Roxy of trying to make this about her but ended up confessing his troubles to her anyway. She recognized that he'd already become a father to Shane and urged him not to beat himself up for walking away from Gigi 10 years ago. Rex apologized for how he'd treated Roxy, and she declared the spat "water under the fridge."

Starr was thrilled that Dorian asked Langston's permission to adopt her, but Langston was a little taken aback. Starr assured Langston that Dorian really loves her when she says she wants Langston to be a Cramer woman. Dorian and Starr were overjoyed when Langston finally said yes, and Dorian wanted to plan a grand celebration in Langston's honor.

When Cling hung up from a phone call about Ray, a tipsy Nora toasted him to destroying the life of a teenage girl. Clint assured her that Langston won't suffer; he just needs some leverage to use against Dorian. Having overheard what Clint said, Markko walked in and pressed Clint about how he's planning to "use" Langston. Clint assured Markko that he's not going to do anything to Langston, and Nora couldn't believe how smoothly he'd just lied to a kid. Markko took a call from Langston on his cell phone, and Nora and Clint balked as Markko marveled, "Dorian's really going to adopt you? That's awesome!" After telling Nora to give Cole the message that he stopped by, Markko remarked that it's a shame Clint and Dorian are at odds, because Dorian's a good person. Nora actually had to agree, and tried to use that to make Clint feel bad for bringing Langston into this battle against Dorian.

Todd walked into Marty's bedroom but she was nowhere to be seen. He was stunned to find her standing in the hallway and she slowly, tentatively returned to the room with a smile on her face. Todd wanted her to go back to bed and she knew he was disappointed that his bedside manner was no longer required. Marty remarked that there are a lot of things she wants to do, which seemed to make Todd nervous. She cued up a recording of her playing "Heart and Soul" on the keyboard and asked him to dance. But a phone call from Starr's doctor interrupted the moment and he obliged Dr. Joplin's request to meet immediately. When he arrived, Dr. Joplin announced that she would not allow him to have any control over Starr's baby.
