Monday
Sarah and Cristian were delighted to wake up together, even though they had to sleep on the floor. They were interrupted when Lola woke up. Lola asked about her stepmother and her father. Cristian promised her that Ray would never hurt her again. Lola was very upset that she couldn't talk to Vanessa. Cristian promised to take a message to her stepmom for her. Meanwhile, Dorian and Vanessa were in adjacent prison cells. "You are the woman who shot Ray Montez!" Dorian said with glee. Cristian managed to get himself arrested so he could talk to Vanessa, who was grateful that Cris got Lola's letter to her. Vanessa was worried about what Lola thought of the shooting.
Clint visited Nora in her office. She had just gotten off the phone with the Colombian consulate. She reported that the consulate confirmed Ray was a murderer. Clint told Nora she was right about everything. "Especially me,"
he said humbly.
Bo was delighted to see Rex awake. Adriana hovered by the door as she saw her husband looking lovingly at Gigi. Rex apologized to Gigi for scaring her.
Adriana was glad that Rex was well. Rex asked for a minute with Adriana alone. Bo and Gigi left. Rex thanked Adriana for taking care of him. He admitted that he had a good life with Adriana before Gigi returned. Adriana asked Rex for a divorce. Gigi was anxious to know when she could go back to Rex's bedside. Bo tried to calm her down. Adriana tried to return her ring to Rex but he wouldn't take it. Gigi thanked Adriana for letting her stay the night and for letting go of Rex. Rex told Bo that he and Adriana were getting a divorce. He asked Bo for some pointers on being a dad. Rex, Bo and Gigi left La Boulaie. Adriana wasn't sure if she was going back to Paris. Rex and Adriana wished each other well.
At the hospital, Langston and Markko tried to visit Ray, but Talia and Antonio wouldn't let them and sent them off to school. Talia suggested Langston hire a lawyer to convince the judge to reverse his decision. Clint tried to make amends to Langston and Markko. Clint promised Langston she'd be staying with Dorian no matter what. He added that Ray was still considered a murderer by the Colombian authorities. Langston was afraid to believe that she wouldn't be going to Colombia eventually.
Ray remembered that Vanessa shot him. Antonio stated that Ray killed Lola's mother. Ray insisted that wasn't true, and that Vanessa set him up.
Dorian met Angel Mel, who was now a guard at the prison. "Why are we here?"
Dorian asked as they stood outside Nora's office. Mel thought Nora wanted to talk to her. He suggested Dorian "play ball." Dorian didn't want to talk without her lawyer. Nora promised that everything would be off the record but made it clear that Dorian could be in big trouble, as she hired a shooter to shoot Ray. Dorian refused to admit who hired the hit man. Nora said she just wanted to make things the way they were before Dorian stole Buchanan Enterprises. She offered to drop the charges if Dorian gave up the company. Dorian was stunned. "Is this ethical?" she asked. "Since when have you been worried about ethics?" Nora retorted. Nora admitted she cares about Langston and begged Dorian to end this "ridiculous feud with Clint." She then warned that this offer would be off the table in 10 minutes. Angel Mel came into Nora's office and told Dorian how awful prison life would be. Dorian wondered if she should take the deal. Mel left and Nora returned.
Clint returned to Nora's office, still humbled. He reported that Ray woke up and he had spoken to Langston. "I realize now that I did hurt an innocent kid," Clint admitted. "That's good for you," Nora said, as she handed him the papers returning BE to him. "You are welcome," she said.
At La Boulaie, Dorian and Langston were happily reunited. "Are you free?"
Langston asked. "It's all over," Dorian assured.
Tuesday
Rex was glad to be back home with "the woman I love" he cooed, gazing at Gigi. Bo and Gigi assured Rex that Shane would be fine. Roxy welcomed them home with a party. "Shouldn't we wait for Natalie?" Rex asked. Bo explained that Natalie was "still out of town." Rex sensed that something was wrong. He wanted to join forces with Bo to find his sister. Roxy added that Jared was also missing. "We hope that they are together somewhere," Bo said. Rex asked if something was up with Shane, because both Gigi and Roxy acted weird when he mentioned his son's name. Gigi hedged that they had to give Shane a little space.
Adriana told Dorian that Rex had come out of his coma. She also commented that Dorian hadn't been there for her when Rex hovered near death. "I guess you had your hands full with your new daughter," Adriana sulked. "You should have known that I needed you." Dorian didn't think Adriana would want to see her near Rex. Adriana began to cry. "I wanted to be his wife again," she admitted. Dorian saw the empty hospital bed in her living room. Adriana explained that hearing Gigi's voice brought Rex back to life, and admitted that he and Gigi looked really happy together. Dorian announced that she was going to take care of Adriana no. Not so fast — Adriana announced she was going back to Paris. Mother and daughter agreed they had both learned a lot during this past Rex crisis. Dorian begged Adriana to stay, to no avail. Adriana said goodbye to Dorian and Langston and headed back to France. Dorian then told Langston that she had given Cramer Enterprises up for Langston, who was very touched by that gesture.
Jared and Natalie tried to make the best of their life in the secret room.
Jared was determined to get a message to Viki, who was upstairs. He decided to start a fire by igniting a piece of paper from a hot light bulb. It worked, and the room filled up with smoke. "Why isn't anyone coming?" Natalie wondered. Then Tess showed up. "Your stupid plan didn't work," Tess scoffed as she put out the fire.
Todd played with little Bree. Tess wrapped up Tina's jewels — the Mendorran crown jewels — in one of Bree's little sweaters. Tess also packed several sticks of dynamite in her tote bag. She kept threatening to visit Marty. Todd asked Tess if she had enough money. She did. Tess told him to get fake passports for her and Bree. Tess headed out. Todd promised himself to tell Viki all about Tess once she had fled Llanview. Todd's doorbell rang — it was Viki.
Earlier, Viki wondered where her girls were. Charlie showed up and hadn't heard from Jared. Viki hadn't heard from Jessica or Natalie. Viki told Charlie a little bit about Niki Smith. She had a dream that Niki told her Tess had returned. Viki was upset that she hadn't figured out that Tess was back on her own. Viki put it together that Tess had tampered with the brakes of her car several months ago. She was very worried about Jessica locked up inside of Tess. Bo came by and explained the reasons he thought Tess was back. "Why would Tess be helping Todd?" Viki wondered. "I wouldn't put anything past Manning," Bo said. Viki thought she might be able to get some information out of her brother.
Clint couldn't believe that he had Buchanan Enterprises back. "You bluffed Dorian into giving back this company," Clint marveled to Nora. Nora just smiled.
Wednesday
Janet listened to a somewhat threatening voicemail from Todd, reminding her of all the horrible things John had done to Marty. Marty asked who was on the phone. "A telemarketer," Janet lied. Marty noted that there was something so familiar about the smell of a baby. She admitted that she had had memories of a little boy. Janet covered but clearly felt bad about lying. Marty repeated everything that Todd had told her about John, and concluded she was looking forward to starting a new life with Todd and the baby. "He is what I want," she stated. Janet opened up a little about her own life and that she had to give up a life with her daughter. Marty shared that she was very happy now.
Fish came to John with his laptop but said that the hard drive was missing.
John wanted to be sure he was right about the identity of the woman at Todd's house before he "got anyone else's hopes up." John said he needed a witness, someone who could say they saw a woman at Todd's house. Fish offered to help John find out who was at Todd's. John told Fish that they first had to locate Todd's former security guard — Keys.
Cole talked about college applications with Nora, who apologized for being so distant lately. She said now that BE was back with the Buchanans she could focus on him. Both couldn't believe that it had been a year since Marty died. Cole said he was mixing up his feelings about his mother with Starr's baby. Cole started talking about Marty and sharing how much he missed her. Nora teared up and added that she misses her, too. Cole regretted that Marty had found happiness with John so shortly before she died. He decided to write a letter to his mother as his college application essay.
Todd's security guard let Viki in to see Todd. Viki asked where Jessica was.
Todd claimed not to know. "You're lying," Viki said, looking her brother right in the eye. Viki said that she had learned John had seen Jessica at Todd's house. Todd reminded Viki that John has it in for him. "So what was he looking for?" Viki asked. Todd acted surprised that Viki thought Jessica was Tess. Viki thought that Tess would help Todd out of trouble, but Jessica wouldn't. She asked if Todd has known for a while that Tess was back. Viki begged him to tell her anything he knows. She then spotted a toy she had brought for Bree from Africa a few days ago. She knew Todd was keeping a secret. Todd admitted that Jessica had spent the night there with Bree. Jess had told him that she needed to get away from Llanfair. Todd lied when he said Jessica seemed completely normal. Viki didn't believe a word of it and grew so angry she asked him for a glass of water.
As she sat on the couch, she found a baby monitor between the cushions. She heard Bree crying. (Bree was upstairs.) Viki headed up to investigate. Todd returned with the water and heard the baby monitor. He quickly followed.
Tess put out the fire that Natalie and Jared had set in the secret room. She made it clear that Viki and Bo didn't know where they were. Tess brought them lunch but didn't show them the bomb she also brought them. Natalie didn't want to eat anything Tess would bring them. Tess took a bite to prove that it was okay. She then let it slip that it would be their last supper. Natalie became furious and reminded Tess that it was Jessica Nash loved. Tess again accused them of murdering Nash. Tess opened up her bag and showed them the dynamite.
Starr was thrilled to hear that Langston wasn't going to Colombia after all, but was stunned to hear that Uncle Ray was a convicted murderer. Langston didn't know what Lola and Vanessa would do. Starr and Langston talked about the moment when Starr's baby would be taken away from her. Starr reminded herself that it was a good thing that Marcie would be taking care of the baby.
Thursday
Starr and Blair talked about the impending birth, after which "your life will be back to normal," Blair promised her very pregnant daughter. Starr felt bad that Cole didn't have a mom. Blair suggested Starr e-mail Cole, and promised her that everything was going to be okay. Starr got an e-mail from Cole with his college essay attached. She began reading it aloud as Cole read his copy.
Cole talked to his mother at her gravestone. He couldn't believe had been almost a year since her death. "I have to let you go," he said, eyes filled with tears. Cole started to read the letter/college application essay. Starr showed up at the crypt right when Cole finished reading the letter.
Marty enjoyed playing with baby Bree. Todd heard their conversation via the baby monitor and rushed upstairs just in time to catch Viki as she went into one of the bedrooms. "Oh, my God," Viki gasped. Viki saw Bree but Marty was hiding behind the door. Todd lied and said he didn't know where Jessica was. Viki couldn't believe that. "What is going on here?" she demanded. "Why can't you tell me the truth?" Marty listened intently, trying to figure out what they were talking about. Viki brought Bree downstairs. Marty asked Todd why everyone was calling Jessica Tess. Todd lied that Tess was Jessica's nickname. Marty didn't understand how so many people — like Viki — actually liked John McBain. (Todd told her that.) Todd and Marty talked about their new life together.
Todd went downstairs and took the battery out of the baby monitor. Viki and Todd argued about Tess, despite the fact that Todd hadn't confirmed that Tess was indeed back. Viki reminded him that Tess most likely was responsible for Natalie and Jared's disappearance and that they were in serious danger. Viki announced that she would be staying at Todd's until Tess returned.
Marty stared at the empty crib and was clearly thinking of the baby boy she was haunted by. She walked around the nursery and then saw a baby boy in the crib.
Jared and Natalie were horrified to see that Tess had some dynamite. They said they were worried about Tess' baby. "We want to help," Natalie said. "Well, can you bring Nash back for me and the baby? I didn't think so," was Tess' response. Tess and Natalie argued and Niki Smith's name came up. Tess changed the subject to Natalie and Jared's impending deaths. She relieved Nash's death, which she blamed on them. Jared asked Tess to kill him and "let Natalie go." Natalie didn't care for that idea — and neither did Tess. "She's as bad as you are. You both have to die," Tess declared. She set the clock on the dynamite and then headed out. Tess grabbed her stomach in pain.
Fish began trying to track down Keys. He started with Todd's bank account.
John realized he was breaking the law in doing so. "Warrants take a while," Fish reasoned. "Go for it," John encouraged. Fish found Paradise Cove Inc. and saw a purchase of a condo in one of Todd's many accounts. After much searching, Fish located a security tape that showed Keys sitting poolside.
Friday
Starr found Cole at his mother's grave. She said she received his e-mail.
"I guess you read my essay," he grumbled. He regretted sending it.
Starr didn't want Cole to be alone. She predicted that he would be accepted to any college he sent that essay to. Cole wasn't sure if he wanted to go to Llanview University, but Starr obviously wanted him to. Eventually, Cole came around and admitted he was glad Starr found him. Just then, Starr thought her water broke.
Marty imagined a baby boy in Bree's crib. She asked the child what his name was. "There must be some reason I keep seeing you," she reasoned. Marty picked up the baby and hugged him. Todd walked in and the boy disappeared. Marty didn't think it was a good idea that Viki took Bree. "She's Jessica's mother," Todd reminded her. Marty told Todd that she is convinced the imaginary little boy is some link to her past. Todd hinted that he might know something. Marty demanded that he tell her what he knows. Todd showed Marty a photo of Starr and Cole.
Earlier, Viki insisted she'd wait for Jessica/Tess at Todd's. "I don't think so,"
Todd said, shaking his head. "What is the real reason you don't want me here?" Viki asked. Todd said he wished Viki would just take Bree, because having a child there reminded him of his own children and the fact that he can't see them thanks to Blair's restraining order. He then blamed Viki for Natalie's disappearance because she had left town when they all needed her most. Viki asked him how he was affected by her time away. Todd admitted that he had met someone. "Everyone should have someone," Viki said, happy at hearing Todd's news. Viki took a call from Charlie who reported that he hadn't heard anything regarding Jared and Natalie. Viki shared that Tess had been there and that she was going to wait for her to return, but Charlie suggested she grab Bree and take her home. "At least Bree can sleep in her own bed," Viki agreed. Back at home, Viki told Charlie that she knows Todd was lying to her. She started crying when she talked about the Jessica/Tess situation. Charlie told her about his meeting with Tina. "What kind of trouble is she in now?" Viki wondered. Charlie promised that he'd be with her when Tess returned for Bree.
Outside the secret room, Tess buckled over in pain. Natalie and Jared were concerned, but Tess screamed at them and claimed it was just cramps. She tried to leave but fell to the floor in pain. Tess ignored Natalie and Jared's offers of help. Natalie insisted that she was putting her baby in jeopardy. Tess began to enter the code into the door...but when Natalie mentioned Nash, Tess changed her mind. "Screw you and your help. I can do this on my own," she promised. Tess stormed out. Natalie began weeping hysterically as Jared pounded on the window. He begged Natalie not to give up.
Tess made it to the kitchen and ran straight into Charlie.
Earlier, Tina talked to her jewels but realized she had to say goodbye to them.
Charlie interrupted her reverie. Tina hinted to him that Viki was still smitten with him. "I am a very good judge of character when it come to men," she said, and compared Charlie with Cord. Charlie wasn't sure he had been all that good for Viki, but she urged Charlie to knock Viki's socks off and win back her attention.
Tina met Smitty in the park. He showed her the fake jewels. She gave him a check and was relieved that she would finally be able to tell Viki the truth about Tess. Cain showed up with David Vickers in a doggie crate.
