One Life To Live Recaps

OLTL Week of October 19, 2009

Monday

Blair wasn't too happy to see Marty in her hospital room, but Todd explained that Marty is going to hypnotize her to help Blair regain her memory. Blair reluctantly agreed, noting that she knows how difficult it was for Todd to request a favor from Marty. Dr. Saybrooke asked Blair to do her best to pretend they are strangers during this process.

Téa spoke with someone she missed on the phone and promised to see them soon, while a jailed Ross barked to Elijah that he's "not really that kid's father anyway." Elijah got Ross to admit that he has a thing for Blair, considering he fleeced the cops to head to her hospital room. Ross referred to Eli as the guy he grew up with and loves so much, and it was clear that they are related.

Téa promised the mystery person she'd be there for parents' weekend. Carlotta showed up at her suite and Téa immediately burst into tears. She asked Téa to sit down and tell her everything, so Téa explained that she thought she was divorced when she married Todd (oops!) and certainly never meant to push Blair out a window. When Carlotta asked if Téa is in love with two men, Téa replied that there's only one man she loves. Just as Carlotta was trying to get Téa to open up to her, Todd knocked on Téa's door. Despite her reservations about Todd, Carlotta left them alone. Todd claimed he was there to return his ring, but she asked him to consider the love they felt just weeks ago, pointing out that he didn't have to come there in person. Meanwhile, Marty helped Blair recall that Téa has a child with Todd. When Blair was out of the hypnotic state, Marty suggested they tell Todd what she discovered. Blair pressured Marty not to say a word, and when Todd returned, Blair lied that she couldn't remember a darn thing. Todd settled in to spend the night in Blair's hospital room, while Téa pulled a photo of out of her briefcase and gazed at Todd's ring with a pained look on her face.

At the Buenos Dias, Starr thanked Cole for putting up with her trouble-prone family. They tried to make plans for some private time, but both of their places were occupied. Starr joked that God doesn't want her to have sex twice a year. Layla helped Cristian out of a sticky situation in the kitchen and the sexual tension was palpable. Cristian let her taste a bit of his concoction, then followed up the spoonful with a kiss. Layla pulled back, and Cris admitted he'd wanted to kiss her for some time. She admitted to not being shocked by the kiss but claimed it can't happen again. Cristian said he understood, considering what happened with her and Fish. It wasn't that, Layla explained; she felt like they'd be going behind Evangeline's back even though her sister is in a coma. Carlotta's return put a stop to the conversation. Cristian wistfully watched Layla go, and even ran to the caf window after she walked away.

Charlie and Viki arrived at the Llanview PD, where Brody explained that Jared had confessed to being involved with Jessica's stalker. Meanwhile, Natalie stumbled over a bloody body at the Buchanan Lodge. John rushed in, saw the corpse and phoned in the apparent homicide. While they were waiting for backup, a cell phone began to ring and they heard someone at the door. A figure wielding a shotgun crept in. John rushed him, only to realize it was Clint, who was responding to a call about a break-in. "Who did you think was at the door?" Clint grumbled. "Jared," Natalie admitted. Clint identified the body as that of Pamela Stuart. John phoned Brody, who informed Viki and Charlie what was going on at the lodge. Charlie recalled that Pamela was the one who helped Jared pose as a Buchanan. Cops swarmed the Buchanan lodge to check out the crime scene, and John explained that Pamela was bludgeoned to death, just like Wayne Landers was. After the coroner removed the body and the crowd dissipated, John found Jared's wallet by the window.

Tuesday

David grumbled to Dorian that the only person good enough for her now is a woman. Just as she proclaimed that her gay wedding is her campaign, Langston walked in with Starr and informed her that the jig is up. Langston told her she knows this whole marriage thing is a political ploy and threatened to rat her out to The Sun. Meanwhile, Amelia was gloating to Nick that their plan is going swimmingly. Kyle walked up and heard her mention Phase 2. "What's Phase 2?" he asked. "You," she told him, leaving Nick to fill in the blanks.

Viki found Charlie looking around the lodge for any hint of Jared's whereabouts, while Natalie pressed John for leads on Pamela's killer. John handed over Jared's wallet, which he found at the crime scene. Natalie asked John to be straight with her and accused him of suspecting Jared of murder. Clint tried to calm Natalie down, and Fish remarked to John how intense things were between him and Natalie. John pulled Fish aside and informed him that Elijah filed a complaint on behalf of Ross and his treatment by the PD, so until further notice, Fish is on administrative leave. Fish was livid, but John advised him to be patient until this blows over. Outside the lodge, Viki was bombarded with press, but gracefully declined to answer their questions.
At the hospital, Shaun was eager to check out so that he could go on his long-overdue date with Rachel. His parents assured Shaun that he won't lose Rachel to another guy if he waits just a few more days to recover. Greg made a remark about how it's not like they're engaged and Shaun asked what he meant by that, just as Rachel entered. Destiny jumped in and said no one's trying to take his girl. Rachel excused herself and Greg followed, asking her why she hasn't returned his calls. He wanted to talk about what happened between them, but they were interrupted by Mrs. Evans, who advised Greg to back off his brother's girl. Meanwhile, Destiny suggested that Shaun tone it down a little with Rachel. Once Rachel was back in Shaun's room, Mrs. Evans told Greg that he can't save his brother only to then break Shaun's heart. Destiny tried to check on Matthew in Seattle, and was told that his surgery was cancelled. Rachel was alarmed to hear this.

In London, Kevin welcomed Bo, Nora and a very grumpy Matthew to the Buchanan compound. Nora phoned Clint and told him that Matthew was furious with her and Bo's switcheroo. They exchanged loving words before Nora returned to Matthew, who threatened to tell Kevin about her and Bo. Meanwhile, Kevin tried to give Bo a little parenting advice, expressing his own regrets about the way things turned out with his late son, Duke. When Bo and Kevin returned, Nora announced that Matthew has something to say, but he didn't reveal that Nora and Bo had kissed. Kevin later sat down with him and asked Matthew to try to understand where Bo is coming from. Bo eavesdropped as Matthew explained that Bo is going to lose him anyway, if he doesn't agree with Matthew trying to get his life back.

Amelia arrived at La Boulaie just as David, Langston and Starr were trying to talk Dorian out of marrying Amelia. She introduced herself to Starr and Langston and offered to answer any of their questions, then turned to Dorian and proposed her and Nick's latest idea: They host history's biggest gay wedding. Starr pointed out that gay people will think Dorian's using them to get elected. Despite everyone's opposition, Dorian wanted to stick to her plan. David later informed her that he won't support her in this scheme. Meanwhile, Nick asked Kyle to marry him in the big commitment ceremony. When Kyle hesitated, Nick explained that it wouldn't be a legally recognized union and that they'd be using it to fight for gay rights. Nick presented a pretty heartfelt argument and wondered if Kyle's reluctance has something to do with Oliver. Meanwhile, a cop alerted Officer Fish to a volunteer event happening at the Buenos Dias, where Kyle and Nick were dining. Kyle assured Nick that they're solid, so Nick got down on one knee. The caf watched as Nick publicly proposed and Kyle said yes, just as Oliver walked in.

Wednesday

With a sassy new haircut, Jack gave Todd a talking-to about his attitude post-Téa and asked if he's planning to hook up with Blair. Todd said no, and Jack remarked that it's a shame Todd can't make it work with Téa. As they went in to visit Blair, they were shocked to find she had vacated her room. Meanwhile, Blair confronted Marty about what they'd discovered while she was under hypnosis. Just as Blair was yelling at Marty to keep her secret safe, Todd approached Marty's office and advised her to stop worrying about whatever it is Téa told her that she can't remember.

Shane threw a fit as he griped to dad Rex that he and Gigi aren't fun anymore. Rex was furious when Roxy arrived, but Gigi explained that she wanted Roxy to hang out with Shane so that she and Rex could have some time to themselves. Shane came downstairs and was thrilled to see Roxy.

After witnessing a café full of people clapping, Oliver asked Nick if he'd really just proposed to Kyle. Nick was glowing as he announced that Kyle had just accepted his "marriage" proposal. Kyle explained that they're taking part in a symbolic commitment ceremony. Meanwhile, David expressed his concern to Dorian that she's not going to marry someone she loves. Clearly taking her ceremony to heart, he asked what would happen if she fell in love with a man while she's married to Amelia. Assuming he was referring to them, she pointed out that they screwed up one too many times. She even mentioned the time he stood her up at the altar, and he accused her of pretending to be Buddhist to win his fortune. Trading the blame, they rehashed their make-ups and breakups over the last few years. David pointed out that he knows Dorian well, and she's a lover of men, then pulled her into a kiss. As their kisses became more passionate, Dorian backed away and challenged David to tell her he loves her. He was about to say those three little words when her phone rang and she jumped to the call. It was Amelia with good news about media coverage for the wedding. David was disappointed, but told her to wear white on her wedding day, since it is her first time marrying a woman.

Téa visited Ross in jail and offered him a briefcase full of cash in exchange for signing away his rights to "their" child. He reminded her that he's the one who got her pregnant and threatened to spill the beans to Todd. When she instructed him to contact his lawyer about relinquishing rights to their child, Ross revealed that Elijah is also his brother. Elijah, meanwhile, approached Blair at the hospital and talked her into dropping the kidnapping charges against Ross. Todd escorted Blair home and hung around to see if she needed anything. Meanwhile, Eli reported back to Ross that he saw Todd and Blair together at the hospital. Téa headed over to the hospital and threw a tantrum when she learned that Todd took Blair home. "He's mine!" she cried, tossing plastic dishware over. As Todd was about to leave La Boulaie, Blair asked him to stay.

Roxy and Shane headed to the Buenos Dias for Volunteer Day and spotted Nick and Kyle kissing. Roxy thought she'd have to explain the gay birds and bees to Shane, but he wasn't troubled by it; he was just upset that his parents no longer kiss like that. Back at the carriage house, Rex and Gigi discussed what they could do to rekindle their flame, and Gigi suggested they try couples therapy. Rex was disappointed that it had come to this but they made plans to meet with Marty that night. Meanwhile, Oliver asked Kyle if him marrying Nick means there's no hope for them, and Kyle broke it to Oliver that he gave up on them a long time ago. Oliver left in despair, and Roxy approached Kyle, asking if he meant to make Oliver jealous by kissing Nick. Kyle dropped the bombshell that he plans to marry Nick, then explained that they are doing this for gay rights. She urged Kyle to consider whether he's made the right choice.

Thursday

Rex didn't sound particularly excited as Gigi talked about what to expect at couples therapy, but was willing to attend if it would help their relationship. Gigi stepped out, and Natalie showed up with news of Jared's predicament. Rex asked Natalie if she believes that Jared is guilty. She admitted to being confused but didn't believe her husband was capable of murder. Natalie asked Rex to use his PI skills to locate Jared before the cops can, and presented her with one clue, a matchbook from a bar called The Lakeside. Nat wanted to go there right away, but Rex said he couldn't leave that evening. She wouldn't take no for answer, and when the tears began to flow, Rex couldn't exactly say no.

Nora phoned Rachel to let her know where she and Bo had taken Matthew. Téa ran into Rachel at the hospital and noticed that something was really bothering her. Rachel revealed that Shaun had recovered, and Téa urged Rachel to come clean about not having feelings for him. When the subject of Todd came up, Téa confessed her big secret.

At La Boulaie, Blair tried to defend her actions to Todd about keeping Téa's marriage a secret, saying she just wanted to save him from the pain. Todd wanted to understand why Téa was so certain that she'd divorced Ross and wondered if Blair had intercepted Téa's divorce papers. It was all Téa's doing, Blair insisted. Starr and Hope came home, and Starr asked if Blair had regained any of her memory from the accident. Blair flashed back to realizing that Téa has a child with Todd, then lied that nothing had come back to her yet. Starr left her baby with Blair, who bounced a smiling Hope on her knee and referred to herself as “Nana,” which made Todd laugh. As he talked about how important children and grandchildren are, Blair randomly apologized for the year she kept their kids away from him. When Starr returned, she was shocked to see that her parents had managed to refrain from getting into a loud argument.

Matthew pleaded with Kevin to help him "escape" London, but the best Kevin could do was arrange for Matthew to have a phone while he's at school. Nora and Bo announced that Matthew will be moving into the school that evening, and Kevin tried to boost his spirits, even explaining that he and the unseen Kelly plan to send Zane there when his grandson is old enough. Kevin escorted Matthew to the school, while Bo and Nora commiserated over a drink. Nora began to cry as she thought of how much Matthew hated them right now, and Bo gave her a comforting hug. The headmistress introduced Matthew to his new roommate, Tom, who looked Matthew up and down with disdain.

At Rodi's, Stacy and Kim tempted Schuyler with concert tickets that would make Gigi swoon, but Rex didn't want to be a part of their scheme. They left the tickets on the bar and headed over to a nearby table. Gigi arrived and spotted the Hale Bopp tickets, telling Schuyler all about her high school crush on the band. Gigi nearly accepted his invite to attend the concert, but revealed that she and Rex have a couples therapy appointment. It killed Rex to do so, but he phoned Gigi and broke it to her that he's going out of town for work. Gigi expressed her disappointment to Schuyler, who suggested that they go to the concert to get her mind off of things. Meanwhile, Kim complained to Stacy that she's running out of cash, so Stacy suggested she find herself a rich divorcee. When Kim spotted an article about the Buchanans, she started to get some ideas. She made a list of wealthy Buchanans she'd like to land, but she soon realized who was married, who's wanted for murder, and so on. At Stacy's suggestion, she set her sights on Bo, and drew a heart around his face.

Friday

Newly freed man Ross praised the wonders of a private shower to brother Elijah, who noted that there's no way he's going to lure Blair away from Todd. Over at La Boulaie, Blair had Todd wrapped around her little finger, as she claimed to be afraid and cuddled up to her ex-husband. She fell asleep in his arms, then suddenly awoke, saying she thinks she remembers what happened. Blair played him like a fiddle as she explained that Téa never loved Todd and had been scheming with Ross all along to take Todd's money.

After admitting to having a secret child to Rachel, Téa recalled the time she made love to Todd on the island and how she declared her love for him before he sailed back to Blair. After that, she took up with Ross and had sex with him numerous times, so she first assumed he was the one who impregnated her. But when she came back to Llanview, she decided to find out once and for all who her child's father was and procured a DNA sample from Todd, proving that Todd's super sperm had produced a child. Rachel had just one question: Why hadn't Téa told Todd the truth yet? Téa explained that when she and Todd reunited, she wanted him to marry her for love, not because they share a child. Rachel assured Téa that her secret is safe, and asked to see a photo. Téa produced a small black-and-white photo of a girl, about age 15, whom she referred to as "Daniella." She explained that she intended to tell Todd about her after the wedding. Meanwhile, Ross insisted to Eli that he has to find his child. He looked at the same photo Téa had just shown Rachel, lamenting that Téa had lied about where Dani's school is.

Destiny arrived at La Boulaie seeking David's help. When David phoned Bo and left a message asking where they'd taken Matthew, Des wasn't impressed with his effort to track down his little brother. In London, Matthew met his new roommate, Tom, who was clearly not happy to be at boarding school. With each snide remark, he racked up "penalty points" against his dorm. Once the headmistress was gone, Tom explained that they're basically in a prison. When Matthew asked if he has a phone, Tom said he'd be right back. He returned with a cell phone and told Matthew to use it quickly before the owner comes looking for it. Just as he dialed Destiny, someone grabbed the phone away from him. He turned to face Todd and Téa's daughter. She yelled at Tom for stealing her phone, and Matthew apologized. Destiny called the phone back and left a message, hearing a girl on the voicemail. David teased Destiny for being jealous and took a look at the number, pointing out that it's from England. David recalled that the Buchanans have a "compound" in London. Destiny sensed that Matthew is in trouble, and begged David to take her to England. Tom, meanwhile, complained about what a bitch "Danielle Rayburn" is, but Matthew thought she seemed cool.

Jessica tried to get Bree to eat her peas and carrots when Brody came by for coffee. Bree was still holding her stuffed elephant, the one that was supposedly given to her by "Daddy," and Brody commented on how creepy that is. He suddenly received a call from his sister, Nadine, who hadn't been in touch with him in a year. She alerted him to some trouble at home, and said he'd better get to Michigan fast. Jessica urged him go to his sister. After Brody left, Jess received a call. Through the static, a man said, "Baby, it's me," and she thought she heard Nash.

Rachel urged Téa to tell Todd the truth, so she phoned him but it went straight to voicemail. Meanwhile, Blair had just managed to convince Todd that Téa intended to push her out the window because Blair learned her secret. "I'm going to kill her!" Todd declared. Téa went running over to La Boulaie and up the stairs when she received a call from Dani, just as Blair leaned in to kiss Todd.
