Monday
Jared told Nash that because he owns 51 percent of Nash's vineyard, he now also owns part of Nash and Jessica's house. "I'm moving in," he announced as he plopped down on the couch. Jared backed up his claim by producing the contract. Natalie thought a lawyer would be able to prove that the house wasn't part of the deal. Unconcerned Jared only noted that he also wanted his job back at Buchanan Enterprises, and promptly took off his shirt. He asked where the master bathroom was, declaring, "I am master of this domain." Jessica and Nash looked sick at the thought of having Jared as their roommate.
Cole asked Markko if he had seen Starr. Markko reported that Langston's parents had died yesterday. (Not true, but at least he now knows the parents are dead.) Cole was stunned to hear the news. Britney and Starr had a face-off. Nasty words were exchanged, and Brit threatened to do something really bad before she headed off to boarding school. Starr clarified the situation with Cole. "Langston's parents have been dead for over a year," she said. Unfortunately for the teens, Britney overheard that tidbit of confession and began thinking about what trouble she could cause.
Starr suggested to Dorian and Blair that Langston stay with them, permanently. Langston said she had been on her own for so long, she'd be just fine. "You don't need to worry about another kid," she reasoned. Blair reminded them that there would be some legal details to attend to. Dorian said she'd check into a will that Langston's parents may have left. Dorian promised Langston that everything would be alright. Langston worried what Markko would think when he learned that she had lied about the date of her parents' death. The girls headed off to school. Dorian and Blair discussed Langston's options. Todd came home and brought Blair up to date on the hunt for Marcie.
The police set up a "Find Marcie" headquarters in Michael's apartment. Rex and Adriana dropped by and offered their help. "Marcie has to come to her senses," Adriana said. Michael said he didn't care if Todd found out Michael knew about Tommy's paternity ages ago, but was very worried about Marcie. The police left Michael's apartment with news that the FBI was taking over the search.
Ron urged Marcie not to throw her marriage away and to return to Llanview. "I will not turn my child over to Todd Manning," she claimed. There was a knock on Ron's door. It was Todd. "I'm here to pick up my son," he announced triumphantly. Ron lied and tried to convince Todd that Marcie wasn't there. Todd wasn't going anywhere. Todd and his goons barged into Ron's house. Marcie hid in the secret closet with Tommy. Todd began to tear apart Ron's house. Ron objected but he made sure to cover up Tommy's bottle. Todd's goons left but Todd stopped at the door. "Something doesn't feel right," he said as he looked around the living room again. Todd found nothing, so he left. Ron and Marcie breathed a sigh of relief, but Ron told his sister she couldn't stay with him and again begged her to return to Llanview. Marcie started to tear up. "I can't call Michael, not ever again,"
she said. Marcie didn't know where she would go next.
Tuesday
Britney overheard the conversation between Cole and Starr and learned all the details about Langston and her long-dead parents. "One little phone call and I come out on top," Britney said to her cohort. Markko, Cole, Starr and Langston faced off with Britney and Co. They were interrupted by representatives of social services. "You are going to have to come with us,"
the social worker said to a stunned Langston. Britney smiled knowingly.
Markko was stunned to learn from Langston that her parents had been dead for over a year. Langston tried to explain why she did what she did. She told Markko he could leave her if she wanted, but he vowed his love to her again. They kissed.
A reporter asked Roxy if she was an accessory to Tommy's kidnapping. Miles interrupted and saved Roxy from further humiliation. Miles and Roxy discussed what he could do in Angel Square as part of his community service. Roxy suggested she and Miles do their community service hours together. Their conversation was interrupted by Federal agent Lee Ramsey (Hunt Block, in all his gum-chewing glory), who thought it was peculiar that John McBain was working on the missing baby case involving his sister-in-law.
Clint visited Dorian and expressed his anger at her for having stood him up on their dinner date. The two started to argue. Dorian refused to apologize and accused him of controlling her. "I was worried about you," Clint insisted. Dorian accused him of just wanting to put her in her place. "What is wrong with you?" he added. "I am working on something," Dorian explained, but she didn't want to share any of the details with Clint. Dorian wondered if maybe "we can't pull this thing off." Clint managed to silence Dorian by telling her he loved her. Dorian thought that their relationship had become full of too many expectations and suggested they both do some serious thinking about their future.
Rex and Adriana suggested Michael, Marcie and Tommy try to leave the country. Michael didn't think that would be possible. He remained convinced that they had to find Marcie and bring her home.
Marcie began packing her bags and prepared to leave her brother Ron's house. She stopped talking when Michael appeared on the television screen. (That was Rex's doing.) "Wherever you are, I love you," Michael said, looking right at the camera. He continued to beg her to come home. Marcie sat spellbound, watching her husband. "Save us, Marcie. You are the one who can," he added.
Marcie admitted that she loves Michael, but if she goes home, "I lose my son.
Right now, Tommy is more important to me than Michael," she reasoned to her brother. She asked Ron to help "me and Tommy disappear."
Wednesday
Antonio and Layla were curious about what was going on between Cristian and Sarah. "There is no me and Cristian," Sarah claimed as she dodged Layla's follow-up questions. Sarah pointed out that Cristian was still hung up on Layla's sister, Evangeline. Layla explained that Cris and Vange had split before Vange was hurt. Knock, knock, Talia was at the door. "We have got to talk about the George situation," she said. Sarah made it clear that everyone — except Antonio — was aware of Talia's interest in her boss. Talia paled and agreed it was only a matter of time before Antonio would see right through her. Sarah encouraged Talia to tell Antonio how she feels. Talia shuddered at that thought. Sarah offered many suggestions. "If Antonio is the one then we'll get him for you," she promised. Talia wanted Antonio to look at her just once "as a woman."
Sarah thought Talia should keep up the fake boyfriend act to make Antonio jealous.
Meanwhile, at the gym, Vincent teased Shawn (a.k.a. George) about his faux relationship with Talia. Shawn couldn't keep his eyes off of some of the women at the gym. Cristian pointed out to Antonio that Talia "was pretty darn hot," and noted to his brother that Shawn/George was flirting with another woman. Uh-oh. Cris saw that Antonio was getting that "don't-mess-with-my-friends look." Antonio approached Shawn and split up the flirtation. "Talia's in love with you and you treat her like this?" Antonio barked. Cris and Vincent hovered to make sure nothing got out of hand. Antonio made his point with Shawn and left. Cristian asked Antonio, "Why did you get into his face like that?" Antonio added that it stinks when someone cheats on you. Cris immediately saw that this wasn't as much about Talia as it was about Jessica. Meanwhile, Shawn told the woman he was flirting with that his name isn't George and he doesn't have a girlfriend. Vincent told Antonio, "That business between Shawn and Talia, that's just for show." The moment Vincent whispered that bombshell to Antonio and Cris, Talia, Layla and Sarah arrived for their kick-boxing class.
Nora and Bo visited St. Ann's to check on Lindsay. The doctor said that Lindsay was in no condition to understand the charges brought against her and that her long-term memory was still shaky. Bo cautioned Nora not to be too hard on her. Lindsay admitted she felt like her life is over. Bo reminded Nora that Lindsay's mental state and the diagnosis of it was not Nora's call. Bo reprimanded Nora on her attitude. "Do you think she's faking it?" he asked. Nora went in for a private chat and promised Bo she'd be nice. Nora left. Bo understood why Lindsay had killed Spencer and urged her to defend herself. Lindsay wondered why Bo "cared about what happens to me."
Dorian brought Clint up to date on the Langston situation and life with Blair. Clint wanted to be there for Dorian. "What is the point of us if I can't be there for you?" he asked. Dorian pulled Clint into a passionate kiss to get him to stop talking about their relationship (or perhaps lack thereof). Afterward, Clint wondered if Dorian preferred the chase to the relationship and referenced David Vickers. "I will always have a soft spot for David Vickers, but he was a boy and I need a man," Dorian replied, going in for another kiss.
The social service representative, Evelyn Woodrow, told Langston and her friends that she is now a ward of the state. Starr immediately figured out that Britney was behind this crisis. Britney just smirked. Ms. Woodrow had to keep Starr from killing Britney. She told a horrified Langston that she'd be placed in a home. Starr was so upset she called Dorian, hence interrupting the smoochfest she was having with Clint. Dorian dove into the drama, furious that child services had gotten involved. "You have to go?" a disappointed Clint asked. Dorian left. Meanwhile, the kids started arguing with Ms. Woodrow. Britney left to pack for boarding school. Starr pointed out that at least Langston's parents loved her and they didn't send her off to school. Dorian showed up and told Ms. Woodrow that she'd take care of Langston. However, Ms. Woodrow said she'd have Dorian arrested if she went one step further with Langston. Langston cried as she said goodbye to her friends and went off with Ms. Woodrow. Dorian promised her that everything would be all right.
Thursday
A frustrated Jessica couldn't cope with Jared taking over their house. Jared ignored her screams of, "We hate you," and made himself at home on their couch. Natalie came by and offered Jared his job back, but he declined. "I can't work with you; you are way too difficult," he replied. Then he headed out to Capricorn. Natalie admitted to her sister and brother-in-law that Jared was a good worker. Then she asked, "what would Grandpa do?"
Poor Antonio. He was so confused with all of the "Talia is with George/Shawn or isn't she" business. Vincent almost explained the whole complicated story to him but then a). Talia, Layla and Sarah arrived at the gym and b).
George/Shawn announced he was indeed involved with Talia, but he just can't be with one girl. As Antonio watched, Talia asked George/Shawn if he was breaking up with her. With Antonio, Vincent and Layla standing by them, Talia and George/Shawn decided to call it quits. Antonio told Talia he was glad she wasn't with George/Shawn anymore because she deserved better.
Sarah asked Cristian for some clarification as to when he broke up with Evangeline. Cris wondered why she was talking about him to Layla. Sarah admitted she asked Layla because she had overheard Cris talking to Evangeline's mom. "So you are still in love with her?" Sarah asked. Cris evaded the question. Sarah changed the subject to boxing. Cris admitted he missed the sport. Sarah compared his love of boxing with her love of singing. "And now we both have to find something else to care about," she concluded. Cris gave Sarah a boxing lesson.
Blair was looking over some sheet music at Capricorn and called Todd for an update. Marty approached Blair, even though Blair made it clear that Todd and their family was none of Marty's business. She tried to explain that she was worried about Tommy and wanted Blair's help. Marty asked Blair to ask Todd to please forgive Michael and Marcie. She reasoned that Tommy had already formed parental attachments to Michael and Marcie. Blair reminded her that Todd doesn't forgive or forget, but Marty continued to beg for some mercy for Marcie and Michael. Blair finally said she couldn't tell Todd how to treat the McBains.
Michael and Todd were on Marcie watch in the surveillance van while John and FBI agent Warren searched Ron's house. They found Tommy's milk bottle and noticed that the milk was still warm. John didn't want to put Marcie in the system. Lee Ramsey interrupted John and Warren and took them both off the case. Ramsey threatened that John would lose his badge forever if he came near the case again. John feared what would happen to Marcie once she's put into the system. Warren left, but not before warning John that, "Ramsey is not going to see the human side of this case." Lee headed over to Rocco's garage. John tried to get Lee not to see Marcie as a criminal.
"She's a criminal and she'll be treated as a criminal," Lee vowed as he left Ron's house.
At Rocco's auto body, Ron had fake IDs for Marcie and Tommy. A brown-haired Marcie said her final goodbyes to her big brother and left. When Lee arrived he was too late to find Marcie, so instead he arrested Ron.
Friday
A tied-up Ron said he'd talk — but not to Ramsey. After Ron refused to offer any details about Marcie's whereabouts, Ramsey called John and said told him to send Michael over. Todd was furious that Ron was going to get off with no repercussions, but Michael barked at Manning to back off. When Michael left the room, Todd said that Ron was all his. As Ramsey continued his interrogation of Ron, he correctly guessed that Ron advised Marcie to do that right thing but, "Your ass is grass and your sister put you right in the middle of it." Michael arrived, furious that Ron had lied to him earlier, saying he had no idea where his sister was. Ron swore that he didn't know where Marcie was headed but did manage to tell Michael that Marcie was okay and that she's determined to never return to Llanview.
Viki e-mailed Natalie, telling her that Paris was wonderful, "And very different than what you might expect...I need to explore this wonderful place for all the secrets and answers it may hold for me." She then mentioned the names of a few of the new friends she has met: Gigi, Maurice, etc. Viki then sent the e-mail.
At Capricorn, Natalie approached Jared with an offer she said he couldn't refuse. He wanted to know if she'd sleep with him again. "Uh, no," she replied. The offer was: "I offer you more money than you've ever seen and you disappear." Jared stated he couldn't be bought. Behind the bar, as Sarah flirted with Cristian, Layla called with news about Evangeline. Sarah felt rejected by Cristian's enthusiasm regarding his comatose ex. As Nat left to respond to her e-mail, Jared went over to Flash and they compared notes on being rejected. They then got serious when they briefly talked about Asa. Across the room, Cris and Nat fumed when Jared and Flash kissed.
A tearful, disguised Marcie drove into the night as part of her plan to whisk Tommy away from Llanview forever. Marcie flashed back to how wonderful their family life was before the shocking news came out that Tommy was Todd's son. "You know I will love you forever," she told her adopted boy, doing everything she could to hold back her tears. When Tommy started getting fussy Marcie sang to him, but she feared the worst when she heard a police siren and saw flashing lights in her rear view mirror.
Also at Capricorn, Blair and Marty had some poignant girl talk, in which the subject of Patrick came up. Blair told Marty she still thought of Patrick, since they almost had a child together. She apologized for bringing up the sore subject. Blair then wanted to know how serious Marty was about John. Marty declined to comment.
At the police station, Dorian begged Bo to have Langston released into her custody. She stated that a group home was no place for a sweet girl who has been through so much. Bo felt her pain and called Child Services. However, his hands were tied. Dorian was crushed when she got the news. Meanwhile, Starr phoned Langston to see if she was okay. Starr reported that Dorian was talking to Bo and, "Don't give up." Markko told Langston that he loved her. Dorian then phoned Langston with the news that she'd have to spend the night in the care of Child Services, but vowed that she'd eventually bring the girl home.
Viki logged off her computer, revealing that she's working as a waitress at the Bonjour Café in Paris — Texas!
