One Life To Live Recaps
OLTL Week of November 8, 2010
Monday
With the Cramer women gathered in her living room, Dorian reported that Starr was waiting on news of Cole's arraignment and that Langston had again taken up with Robert Ford. Langston explained she'd only been by Ford's side because he was coughing up blood. He must have deserved the beating, sniffed Dorian, but Langston insisted Robert had changed. Dorian forbade Langston from inviting Ford to the Todd/Téa wedding reception/Téa's alive party, reminding the ladies that they didn't need a date to have fun.
Ford and James were stunned to see their father at their door. "Why aren't you in jail?" James asked. "I come in peace," Eddie said, but Ford insisted he wasn't welcome. Eddie urged his sons to "learn to let bygones be bygones," and explained that the charges against him had been dropped. Asked by Ford why he was there, Eddie looked pointedly at James. "He knows exactly what I want," Eddie said, and wondered where the $50,000 was. Ford explained that the money went to James' hospital bills. "I want my money," Eddie demanded and kicked Ford, who collapsed in pain.
As Bo and Nora discussed Cole's case, Inez brought Bo some cookies as a thank you for his advice. Téa, Todd and Dani showed up, and Nora gave Téa a big hug. Todd handed Bo and Nora an invitation to their party. Bo was surprised but delighted to accept. Téa invited Inez as well, but Todd noted to Nora that Inez looked a little too close to Bo. Nora suggested that Inez bring a date.
Viki tried to convince Charlie that Echo could be Rex's mother. "That's a wild theory Viki," Charlie said. Viki wondered if Clint could be Rex's father, then shook off the thought, since Echo hadn't gone after the Buchanan money. So was Charlie Rex's father? Viki wondered, reminding Charlie that he had spend a lot of time with Echo nine months before Rex was born. Viki asked "How many times did you sleep with her?" Viki asked bluntly. "Often," Charlie admitted. Charlie urged Viki to walk away from the Echo situation, saying he didn't want to get his hopes up that Rex might be his son. Rex showed up and reported on his visit to Echo. "There is something you need to know," Viki said solemnly.
Clint told Echo that he knew all along that he was Rex's father. Echo opened the door to Rex, who wanted to know what Echo knew about his father. After Rex left, Clint wondered why Echo hadn't admitted they were Rex's parents right then and there. She explained she knew that Rex hated Clint and "he might go after your throat." "Keep your mouth shut," Clint snapped, adding that he hated Rex because he's a "gold digging piece of trash like his mother." Inez called Clint and invited him to Todd Manning's party, an offer Clint happily accepted.
Todd (with a rare smile on his face), Téa and Dani arrived at Viki's to give out more invitations, where Viki was thrilled to see the three of them reunited. Next stop was Echo's, where she was asked to photograph the event. Téa invited Rex because as thanks for his undercover work on her behalf. Echo thought the party would be a perfect place to have a private chat with Rex. After leaving Echo, Todd, Téa and Dani invited James to the party, then showed up at La Boulaie and handed out invites. "Bring dates," Todd urged.
Rex was stunned to learn the truth that the love letters between his parents were fakes and vowed to get the truth out of Echo. Meanwhile, Todd and Téa came home and started making love, Langston wondered who she might invited to the party, Inez watched Bo and Nora dance in his office and Echo looked at her invitation, then gazed at her half of the necklace.
Tuesday
In Paris, Adrianna advised Gigi to dress better, then mentioned that she and Rex had kissed. Gigi was further upset to learn that Rex had told Adrianna that he and Gigi hadn't had sex yet. She called Rex and blasted him for sharing intimate details with his ex. Also in Paris, Cris and Layla reunited. They admitted they were having a difficult time being apart from each other. Adriana interrupted with some bad news.
Dorian introduced Kelly to a buff man named Wyatt whom she'd hired to help Kelly de-stress and forget about Rex. Kelly allowed Wyatt to give her a massage, but jumped up when things got heated. Dorian brought Wyatt upstairs, complaining of lower back issues.
Rex ran into Brody in the steam room and Brody fretted about the results of the amnio. Asked for a Gigi update, Rex admitted he and Gigi hadn't had sex yet — sleeping with Gigi's sister Stacy was the eighth deadly sin. Brody just stared anxiously, remembering his fling with Jessica's sister, Natalie. "Gigi and I are getting through this; you and Jessica will too," Rex assured Brody.
Téa and Nora met in the courtroom, where Téa vowed to use every trick in the book to get Cole off the hook. Nora stated to the judge that Cole wasn't a threat to society, and Téa reminded him that Cole had been pushed past the breaking point. Starr assured Cole that everything would be fine, then he rose and pled guilty. Téa explained that Cole shot Eli in a moment of passion, but the judge said he could not condone vigilante justice, especially for someone who already had two felony charges under his belt. After being sentenced to ten years in Statesville prison, Cole broke up with Starr. Devastated, a spiteful Marty told John that Natalie had had an amniocentesis to check the baby's DNA.
Natalie urged her sister to rest after her amnio, not mentioning that she'd undergone the procedure, too. She fretted about how much Marty hates her. "She vowed to get back at me and I'm afraid at what she might do," Natalie worried, telling Jessica how Marty had slapped her. Marty will calm down eventually, Jess assured Natalie, then worried what Brody might do if he wasn't the father of her baby. "I feel special giving Brody his first child," Jessica said sweetly. Natalie started to cry. Jessica took a nap, and Brody came over. A guilt-wracked Nat wondered what they would do if Brody was her baby's father, just as John entered the living room.
Wednesday
Rex and Kelly were locked in the men's steam room when both their towels fell off. They grabbed their towels and covered up, and Rex managed to get the door open. Kelly asked Rex what was bothering him and he admitted Gigi hung up on him after she learned he'd told Adrianna that they weren't having sex. That was stupid, pointed out Kelly, who joked that she, too, had no sex life. Rex invited her to accompany him to Todd's party.
Adriana told Cris she had to take Layla to Milan because Stefan had specifically asked for her — if Layla didn't go to Milan, her career would be over. Cris was disappointed, since he had to stay in Paris for the conference. He asked a sympathetic Gigi to dinner at the top of the Eiffel Tower, and she said yes.
Ford was furious that Eddie drank a six-pack of beer from their refrigerator. Eddie woke up and launched a torrent of verbal abuse. Ford declared that Eddie didn't get to threaten them again, as James looked terrified. As Eddie left the room to throw up, Inez and Nate showed up at the door. Ford and James were trying to get rid of her when Eddie reappeared, spotted Inez and called her a whore. Nate looked stricken. Inez slapped Eddie and told him that Nate was their son. Maybe not, Eddie hinted cruelly. James pushed Nate and Inez out the door, and Inez begged her two older sons to come with her. They could handle Eddie, Ford and James assured her.
Prison-bound Cole broke up with Starr, who vowed she'd never get over him. When Langston and Markko showed up to say their goodbyes, Cole asked Langston to take care of Starr. Markko told Langston he was returning to UCLA. Starr wept as Cole said goodbye to Hope. After a sweet montage of the couple, John came to the door. "It's time," he said solemnly. "Don't let me ruin your life. Keep shining," Cole told Starr. He wept as he gave Hope one last hug, and left Starr sobbing at the door.
Natalie tried to dodge the question when John asked if she'd had an amniocentesis. "Shut up and answer the question," John snapped. "Yes I did," Natalie said sheepishly. "I shouldn't have to hear this from other people," John said, growing angrier. Natalie said she just wanted to make sure that their baby was alright, and didn't want to upset him since he'd lost a baby before. "We're supposed to be a team," John reminded her, then said that he'd like to be there next time and pulled her into a hug. Later, Brody asked Natalie how her chat with John went. Nothing would be okay until she knew for sure she was carrying John's baby, fretted Nat.
Thursday
Viki officiated at Todd and Téa’s a renewal of vows and a reaffirmation of life. “We got the ultimate do-over,” Todd said, “starting with tonight.” Everyone clapped. Todd naded the microphone to Danielle, who then serenaded her mom. Todd informed his wife that there was a hotel room with a bottle of chilled champagne waiting for them.
Although Viki was certain that the truth would about Rex’s parents would come out by the end of the evening, Clint warned Echo not to say anything. ““How long have you known Rex was your son?” Echo asked. Clint explained he’d learned the truth when he found he was a match for Shane, Rex’s son. “You’ve know for over a year that Rex was your son and you didn’t claim him because of your fortune. What kind of heartless bastard are you?” Echo marveled. Clint grabbed Echo and warned her she would never see her son again if she told Rex the truth about his parentage. “What did I ever see in you?” Echo wondered aloud before she and Clint returned to the party. Viki and Charlie cornered Echo and demanded to know who Rex’s parents were. Unable to locate Echo, Rex went to the roof...where Kelly pulled him into a kiss.
James and Ford showed up at the party. Nate joined them and they explained that Eddie was in their apartment drinking their beer. Bo told the Fords he was going to stop by and have a chat with Eddie.
Marty let herself into Vivian’s office and found Natalie’s folder. When Vivian caught her, Marty said that she was just looking for a piece of paper, adding that she needed Vivian to be a character witness. Shawn showed up to pick up Vivian and after they left, Marty rushed back to the file on Natalie. She learned that Natalie was having a paternity test and made a copy. “Gotcha Natalie,” she said with glee. Marty showed up at the party and assured John and Natalie she had found a way to cope with the pain of Cole languishing in Statesville.
Starr gazed at her scrapbook of photos of her and Cole. “How are we going to live without Cole?” Starr asked her mom. Blair assured Starr, “You will get through this.” James came by to check on Starr and she pulled him into a passionate kiss!
In Paris, Gigi refused to answer Rex’s call, and worried about Rex being so tight with Adriana. Meanwhile, Rex picked up Kelly to go to Todd and Téa’s party. Dorian taunted Rex about not having sex with Gigi, then when Gigi called Rex’s phone, Dorian picked up. She told Gigi that Rex was helping Kelly get dressed for their date...and mentioned their lack of a sex life. Gigi hung up and when her Gigi’s rang, she refused to pick up. Cris wondered why he’d thought a long distance relationship could work...then he and Gigi started to kiss.
Destiny and Matthew told Darren that Greg was her father. “How come Matthew knows all this, and I don’t?” Darren wondered. Destiny ran into Shawn and reminded him that she was now his niece, not his sister. “A technicality,” he said.
Friday
Starr kissed James passionately and started taking off her clothes. "Make love to me," she begged. James insisted she wasn't ready for this. "You don't want to start something new," he said earnestly, adding that he didn't want Starr when she was heartbroken over Cole and angry about how things turned out. "I want my life back!" Starr cried. James encouraged her to take things one day at a time.
Gigi and Cris kissed, as did Rex and Kelly. Cris attributed their smooch to the Parisian view and champagne. Cris suggested they go upstairs to his room; a shocked Gigi reminded Cristian that he was engaged. The two discussed getting back at their significant others by sleeping with each other in Cris' beautiful hotel room and in his king sized bed. But they agreed they were in love with other people. Cris thanked Gigi for keeping him from doing something stupid.
"You kissed me," Rex accused Kelly, then apologized. Kelly admitted she had made the first move because she wanted to find out if she had lost her spark. She has an awesome career, smoking hot body, friends and money, pointed out Rex, then tried to convince her she could have anyone she wanted as long as they are single and available. He promised to help Kelly find her perfect man. "I've already found him. Joey Buchanan. He was my first love," she confided. She didn't think they had a chance, though, because of her relationships with Kevin and Duke. Later, Kelly placed a call to Joey, Cris called Layla and Gigi picked up her phone.
At Todd and Tea's party, Viki demanded to know who Rex's parents are, but with Clint's threats in mind, Echo kept her mouth shut. Viki informed Bo that Echo wasn't fessing up."We have the right to know," Viki insisted. Rex entered the room and heard Echo say, "You are right Viki. I am Rex Balsom's mother."
Dorian demanded that Ford stay away from Langston. "You don't scare me," he told the mayor. Langston accused Dorian of having Ford beaten up; glancing at Clint, Ford said that was someone else's fault. Ford and Langston admitted they still have feelings for each other but Langston wasn't sure if they could try again. Ford confessed that he had never been in a real relationship. kissed her on her head and headed home.
Bo apologized for having left Nora to talk to Inez and her sons about Eddie. "As long as it's me you are coming home to," Nora smiled as they danced off. Inez asked Clint if everything was okay. "It's under control," he said firmly. Clint offered to go after Eddie, too.
"Your girlfriend is a liar," Marty told John, and waved a copy of Natalie's amniocentesis report. Natalie already told him about the test, replied John. "Are you sure about that?" Marty asked. Natalie was furious that Marty had her medical records. John reminded Marty that she was a good person and this wasn't the way to deal with things. At home, Marty wondered how Natalie could cheat on John. "She took you away from me," Marty said to a photo of her and Cole. "It's only right that I take her away from John."
