One Life To Live Recaps

OLTL Week of November 12, 2007

Monday

John returned to the motel room he was sharing with Marty and didn't find her, but he did see her cell phone on the floor. Blair stocked up on groceries before the travelers headed back to the road. John barged in looking for Marty. He reported that Marty had left with her suitcase. Blair wondered if what happened the night before (John and Marty making love) had scared Marty off. John asked Todd to repeat everything that he had talked to Blair about. John let them know Cole was missing as well. That upset Blair, who immediately got on the phone to Starr. Todd remembered that Blair had been freaked out by a guy in a death mask on Halloween. Todd and John left to look for Marty. They didn't find her, so John told Blair and Todd he was heading back to Llanview. Todd wasn't too happy to hear that. "Who is going to help me find my son?" he asked. John had enough information to direct Todd and Blair to their next destination: Paris, Texas.

Meanwhile, Marcie landed in (you guessed it) Paris, Texas and was befriended by Gigi. Marcie, who almost had a meltdown at the diner, was frantic. Gigi asked what happened that forced her to go into hiding. Marcie hemmed and hawed. Gigi guessed that she had been in an abusive relationship. Marcie made no attempt to deny that reasoning.

Roxy told Dorian that Adriana was pregnant. Before Dorian could get too far into a lecture, Adriana arrived and told them that she wasn't pregnant at all. Rex said there had been a misunderstanding. Dorian stopped the conversation with news about Langston Wilde being Adriana's new foster sister. Dorian brought Rex, Adriana and Roxy up to speed on the Langston situation. Adriana was proud of her mom. Roxy started to cry. Adriana assured her mother that she knew it broke her heart not to be able to raise Adriana. Dorian explained that while Blair and Todd were off looking for the baby, Dorian took over the Langston situation. She admitted to being concerned about the new friendship between Nora and Clint.

On videotape, Asa shocked the rest of his family when he mentioned another newly-discovered son. Nigel played dumb. Asa left an envelope for this son to Nigel for safekeeping. "He'll know what to do with it when the time is right," Asa said. Jessica and Clint insisted that Nigel identify his "long-lost brother." Nigel refused. Asa left Nigel the keys to his yacht and the deed to his tropical island, St. Blazes. Renee thought it made sense that Nigel get those items. Nash noticed that Asa rewarded loyalty. Matthew ran out, eager to call Bo with news of yet another uncle. Nora wondered if this might be an imaginary son. Clint didn't think so. He was grateful that Dorian wasn't there, as she would have beat up Nigel for the truth. Clint and Nora drank to his new long-lost brother. The Buchanans continued chatting about the new family member. Renee showed Jared a box of dirt. "It was the first fistful of dirt that Asa dug when he built the ranch," she explained. Asa wrapped up his reading of his will by announcing he was leaving no cash to anyone.

Bo arrived at Marty's, where the teens updated him on Cole's disappearance. Starr explained that Cole didn't show up at school and showed Bo the mask they found. Bo tried to calm the teens down as they explained they had seen that mask before. Bo called Marty's phone and was surprised when John answered. He explained that Cole had disappeared. John added that Marty was missing too. John didn't think it was a coincidence that both Marty and Cole were missing at the same time. Bo asked the kids for a list of people who might want to hurt Cole or Marty, but didn't let on that Marty had gone missing.

Viki and Charlie enjoyed the drive-in movie. Though the speakers didn't work, the two played a game that appeared to be "make up the dialogue." Charlie assured Viki that he doesn't hit on every waitress that serves him and asked her why she turned him down at first. Viki replied that whatever time they'll spend together with be brief. She shared that she enjoyed working at the diner. Viki claimed she was a native Texan who had worked hard to lose her accent. Charlie explained that he was a contractor but explained that the project he's been working on had nothing to do with business.

Tuesday

Dorian left Carlotta in charge of Starr and Langston. She felt it was crucial she reclaim Clint before Nora moved in on him. Dorian ran into Alex and David who shocked her (and we mean shocked!) with the news they were married. David took Dorian aside and said it was strictly a financial plan on his part. He explained Alex was loaded. "There's gold in them thar hills" he quipped and he, should Dorian have forgotten, was broke. Meanwhile, Alex remembered that David was Asa's son and just smiled. Dorian let the newlyweds know that all the Buchanans were in Texas for the reading of Asa's will. She predicted that David would soon be one of Alex's ex-husbands. Alex thought Asa might have left her something in his will. All three decided to head to Texas together.

Starr had a meltdown about her family being all over the country and Cole having disappeared. Carlotta offered to speak to Antonio on Starr's behalf. Markko brought Carlotta up to speed. Starr ran out to find Cole herself but Langston and Markko got her to stay put. "Something is really wrong," she told her friends. Carlotta tried to calm her down. Starr wondered if Cole might be dead already.

Marcie settled in to her motel room. Gigi brought Shane over to meet Marcie. Shane explained that her father had died a hero. Gigi offered to help Marcie get settled in. Marcie made small talk about Shane's dad and Gigi seemed uncomfortable. Perhaps he hadn't been a Navy Seal after all? Hmmm. Marcie wondered where she should go next. Gigi spoke highly of life in Paris, Texas.

Charlie told Viki he was searching for his son and admitted he hadn't tried very hard to find him. He said there wasn't much to tell but he was trying to do the right thing by his son. Viki explained that she had just left her old life for a new one. She admitted that eventually she'll have to leave this life and return home. "I realized I was not happy at home," she said. "Well maybe you should stay," Charlie suggested. Charlie walked Viki to her room and both agreed they'd had a very nice time. It was awkward moment. They were about to kiss when Gigi exited the room across the hall. Gigi was horrified and quickly left. Viki and Charlie said goodnight. Marcie then put a "Do Not Disturb" sign on her doorknob.

Asa told his family there would be more money if the family met the contractual requirements of his will. He explained that his family would be working in the family business together and that would determine the company's future — "and your own." Asa added that everyone would get a seat on the board of Buchanan Enterprises with equal amounts of company stock. It was set up such that the company couldn't be sold, and stocks couldn't be transferred. "Of course there's a catch — if the company fails, then no money for anyone." Asa said goodbye to his family via DVD. "I do love you, every last one of you, and goodbye." Renee was upset to see the screen go dark. Jessica wanted to defer all her decisions to Clint. However, Asa's attorney said that wasn't possible. "I think it makes perfect sense," Renee announced to a startled Nora and Clint. Renee added that it wasn't be easy for them to all work together, but they all love each other. "Asa's real legacy is the love in this room," she concluded. Clint lead a toast to Asa. "We're going to miss you something awful," he said.

This show was in memoriam to Lee Patterson, 1927-2007. He played Joe Riley for many years.

Wednesday

John and Bo returned to Marty's house, which had been sectioned off as a crime scene. "Looks like whoever took Cole came back to ransack the place," Bo observed. John guessed this had something to do with Patrick Thornhart. Bo agreed and added that Patrick had been involved with some rebels. John thought Miles might also be involved. Bo said the police were already looking for him. "If he had anything to do with this, I'll kill him," John vowed. He then grabbed a book of poems from Marty's floor and remembered what Marty had told him about Patrick reciting poetry to her. Bo offered his help in the search for Marcie. John went to find Michael and tell him he was back in town.

A jumpy Starr kept remembering Halloween and the man in the mask. Markko and Langston were there to support her. "Why did all this bad stuff have to happen at the same time?" Starr asked. Antonio dropped by to check on the kids. He asked them questions about seeing the death mask around Halloween, and also asked about Starr's last conversation with Cole. They realized Cole was lying about his computer crashing. Bo paid a visit to Starr and shared the news that Marty was missing.

At the gym, Antonio and Cristian watched Michael taking it out on a punching back. The brothers understood that Michael was frustrated. Antonio teased Cris by saying that he missed Sarah. Cris claimed that Sarah was good to have at Capricorn, but it was only about business. An exasperated Michael vented to Cris about not hearing from Marcie and being worried to death over her. "She's all alone. I'm all alone and we should be helping each other through this," Michael sighed. Cris tried to reassure Michael that they might be able to find their way back to each other. Michael was skeptical, insisting he didn't think Marcie ever thought about him.

Marcie almost ran into Viki in the hallway at the Bon Suites. Gigi brought Marcie breakfast. The waitress saw a photo of Michael and began to ask Marcie about her husband and made assumptions that Michael was abusive. Marcie got uncomfortable and then explained that she had lied about her husband being abusive. She said she wanted to be honest with Gigi but "it's really hard to talk about."

Dorian, David and Alex showed up at the Bonjour Café. Dorian was horrified to be dining at a greasy spoon, and mused that Viki was probably dining in the real Paris. Oh, mais non — Viki ducked back into the kitchen when she spotted Dorian, David and Alex at a table. She asked Gigi to take over her shift, and paled at the thought of having to wait on them. Dorian called for the waitress. "We'd like some coffee here," she said.
Noelle jumped in to help out. David order pressed duck while Viki crept out of the diner on her hands and knees. Viki overheard their conversation and was brought up to speed about how they were all in Texas for Asa's will reading. Dorian went on and on that she was there to show Nora that Clint is all hers. David and Alex ordered double vodka martinis. Viki figured out that Alex and David were married. Viki snuck past Dorian to get into the kitchen. Dorian asked about the status of her poached eggs, then went through Alex's purse and found food coupons. Dorian still thought it was "wildly impulsive" for Alex and David to have gotten married. Viki tried to explain to Moe why she couldn't serve that table. Noelle pitched in but then got a call that her sister was in labor. Viki refused to bring "those people their food." She tried to explain but then had to hide because Dorian was asking Moe a question. Dorian told Moe she recognized a scent "from your kitchen." Much to Viki's relief they were talking about bouillabaisse. Viki was quite overjoyed when they left. Dorian and Moe made plans to exchange recipes. "Moe, you have restored my faith in the entire state of Texas," Dorian enthused as she exited the diner.

Miles told Roxy he thought the police were after him. He revealed he had been questioned about Marty. Miles explained that the cops think that he might know why Marty and Cole were missing, but he made it clear to Roxy that he had nothing to do with their disappearance.

Michael headed home to the Angel Square Hotel. He didn't want to ask Roxy if Marcie had called. Michael saw John through the window but before he could say hello John grabbed Miles. "What the hell did you do to Marty and Cole?"
John said to an unsuspecting Miles.

Thursday

John grabbed Miles, demanding to know where Cole and Marty were. Miles claimed to know nothing. Ramsey and his men arrived in the lobby and demanded John back off because they wanted to search the place. Ramsey wondered why John was visiting his brother. Ramsey and John continued to argue. Michael was taken away to be questioned. Ramsey asked John what he was up to, and punched John in the stomach. John explained that he was also hunting for Cole and Marty. "Cole Thornheart," Ramsey said, "as in Patrick Thornheart?"

Marty was seen lying on a floor in a dark room. She woke up and wondered where she was. She begged John to "please find me."

Sarah called Cris, who said he was about to call her. She told him about what Asa did and didn't leave the family. Cris got very angry when he learned that Sarah had asked Jared down to Texas. When she was done, Jared asked Sarah about her phone conversation. Sarah announced that she didn't care what people thought of her. Cris replayed the conversation in his mind and began punching a bag. Jared claimed to Sarah that he wasn't hung up on Natalie. Sarah saw right through him.

Viki wouldn't answer Gigi's questions about those mysterious people who Viki refused to serve. Gigi wondered what it would be like to have real money. Viki claimed "it doesn't buy happiness." Gigi asked Viki about her date with Charlie. "That is none of your Texas business," Viki replied. Gigi apologized about interrupting their good-night kiss, but Viki insisted that Gigi didn't interrupt anything. Just then, Charlie walked into the diner. "Oh darn, I thought I had swept you off your feet," Charlie teased. He shared a cup of coffee with Viki. Charlie didn't think Viki was used to being asked a lot of details about her personal life. He added that he'd like to spend more time with her and get to know her. Viki looked embarrassed and Charlie asked her out on another date. She confessed that a bit of her old life dropped in on her this morning. Charlie told Viki his friends call him Charlie B.

The Buchanans held another toast to Asa, this time outdoors. Jessica and Nash talked about Natalie's whereabouts. Jared made a crack about Jessica's past and Nash belted him. Clint broke them up. Nash agreed to keep his distance from Jared if Nash keep his distance from him. "I wish I knew what all of this was about," an exasperated Clint said. Clint gave Nora and Matthew a lesson in barbecuing. Nora and Clint flirted a bit. Guests arrived at the ranch. "One goes by Mr. Vickers," they were told.

Friday

Todd and Blair were on their way to Paris, Texas. Todd called Starr and tried to assure her that Marty and Cole were probably together and would help each other. "Marcie McBain has taken my baby boy away from me, and she's taken me away from Starr and Jack. She's going to pay," Todd declared. They arrived in Paris and immediately saw the Bon Jour diner and the motel. "I love these little podunk towns," Todd said.

John said that he had just learned that Patrick Thornheart had been assassinated. Ramsey was aware of that. John suggested that Ramsey stop going after Marcie and help him find Cole and Marty. He reminded the federal agent that finding these terrorists and saving Marty/Cole would increase his standing with the FBI. Ramsey agreed to join forces and made arrangements with his DC office. Michael was upset that Ramsey was taken off the Marcie/Tommy case. He was afraid of what Todd might do. "He's a complete psycho and you know it," Michael told John. "Let the FBI find Marty. Don't abandon my wife." Despite Michael's pleas, John and Ramsey headed out to find Cole and Marty. Michael was crestfallen.

Dorian, Alex and David made themselves at home at Asa's ranch. Dorian was stunned to learn that Nora and Clint had gone on a horseback ride alone.
Nora admitted to being fearful of riding, but she and Clint continued to flirt as he gave her a riding lesson. Clint wrapped Nora in a blanket when she was chilly and the two shared a swig or two of bourbon from Clint's flask. They talked about Bo and his issues. Clint wondered if Lindsay and Bo might be hooking up again. Clint and Nora began kissing. Dorian walked into the barn and saw it. She was horrified.

Alex looked right into Nigel's eyes when she said she and David were there for a financial meeting. Nigel looked uneasy, to say the least. Once they were alone, Alex told Nigel she knows David is Asa Buchanan's son. Nigel looked away as his face quivered.

On the patio, Natalie and Chuck, Jared and Sarah and Nash and Jessica made small talk. Jared accused Natalie and Chuck, with a very jealous tone, of having made love all over the grounds of the ranch. Sarah asked Jared to lose her number and she left the campfire. Jared and Natalie had some one-on-one time. He explained that Tess/Jessica took his life away. "Jessica is responsible for this," he insisted. Jared asked Natalie why she did what she did with the Buchanans before she told them who she was. Jared clearly hit a nerve with her. She confessed she hadn't slept with Chuck. Jared wondered why not. "I wanted you to walk away," she admitted, "because I couldn't walk away from you." Jared and Natalie shared a passionate kiss.

Charlie confided to Viki he was a recovering alcoholic. "Does that change how you feel about going out with me again?" he asked. Viki graciously accepted a second date. Charlie began to explain that his drinking days were very bad and he let down his son in a very bad way. He asked Viki to promise to walk away if he started drinking again. Moe and Noelle stormed out of the diner, leaving Charlie and Viki with a pecan pie.

Cole reunited with his mother in the dungeon where she was being held. They both recounted how they got to Ireland, and they compared notes about the person in the death mask. "Who are these guys and what do they want from us?" Cole cried. As a gunman stood guard, Marty promised her son she'd keep him safe.

Moe and Noelle realized they would be competing in the upcoming bake-off. "It's war," Noelle declared.
