One Life To Live Recaps

OLTL Week of November 1, 2010

Monday

Cole cried tears of joy upon seeing Starr and Hope enter the apartment after their kidnapping ordeal. They shared a family hug, and Starr promised that they'd never be apart again. He apologized for trusting Hannah, who was being brought into custody at that moment. Starr explained that Hannah tried to kill her and James, burying them alive, but that James came to her rescue. At the LPD, John advised a handcuffed Marty to seek counsel, but she insisted that she killed Eli and is prepared to pay for it. Marty faced off with Hannah, who was more crazy than ever as she assumed that Marty would stand by her once again in court. Hannah was led away in handcuffs, leaving Marty to blame herself for her granddaughter's kidnapping. Natalie returned with the forensics results and reluctantly confirmed to John that Marty's prints were on the gun, and so were Cole's. John gave Marty a knowing look and told her that taking the rap for Cole would never have worked. He turned to Nat and advised her to find James pronto.

At the hospital, Blair caught up Langston and Kelly on her own ordeal. She explained that she's having trouble reaching James, who eventually phoned Langston from the LPD. Langston reported to Blair that James, Starr and Hope are fine, but Blair was furious to hear that Hannah put her daughter in danger and blamed Marty for allowing Hannah to be released from St. Ann's. Dorian arrived and told her girls that they all owe Marty for ending Eli's reign of terror. Blair was shocked to hear that Marty had supposedly killed Eli.

Back at Starr and Cole's, Cole confessed to Starr that when he thought she and Hope were dead, he lost control and shot Eli. Starr was terrified of what this could mean for their family and suggested they hire a good lawyer. Just then, James arrived to warn Cole that the cops figured out his prints were on the weapon and are probably on their way right now. When John and the cops did arrive, Cole was nowhere to be seen and Starr was at the hospital reuniting with the Cramer women. Meanwhile, Marty swore to Natalie that she'd make her pay for destroying her family.

Dorian ran into Clint and noticed the half-heart necklace in his hand and remarked on how cheap it looks. Clint taunted Dorian by asking if she'd heard from her wayward ex-fiancé. Dorian claimed that she'd actually ignored a call from David the other day. When Clint informed Dorian that he's helping Viki investigate Echo DiSavoy, she warned him to watch his back. Clint returned home and showed the pendant to Nigel, who asked if he plans to give it to a woman. Clint thought back to a conversation between him and Echo in which she recalled that he purchased that necklace for her on a business trip. "I already did," he cryptically answered Nigel.

At Llanfair, Viki and Rex showed Echo a photo of the matching pendant, but she pretended to not recognize it. When Rex explained that he took that photo in her hotel room, Echo accused him of breaking and entering. Viki noted that the necklace in her possession has personal meaning for Rex and he deserves an explanation. Rex read aloud a letter from Rick to Lili about the necklace, which was left with him at the hospital where he was born. Echo flashed back to a conversation with Clint about the necklace in which she admitted that's not the only "precious thing" she left behind. Nevertheless, Echo refused to give them answers, only saying she received the necklace as a gift from someone. Echo swiftly returned to the Angel Square Hotel, where she pulled out her precious necklace, then began looking at photos of Rex at different ages on her laptop. Meanwhile, Viki asked Rex if she could take a look at Rick and Lili's letters, remarking that the letter he read earlier sounded awfully familiar to her. Over at the Buchanan manse, Clint leafed through a book called The Love Letters of Rick and Lili, by Blaize Pardee, a Buchanan ancestor.

Tuesday

Téa awoke at the hospital and was relieved to find Todd by her side. He swore they wouldn't be apart again. Dani and Starr reunited in the hallway and Dani brought Starr in to see Téa. She was happy to hear that Téa was going to be just fine, but froze when Todd said that the cops figured out that Cole shot Eli. She asked Téa for some legal advice, but all Téa could offer was that Cole not do anything stupid. Later, Todd, Téa, Dani and Starr were on their way out of the hospital when they came face-to-face with Greg.

At Llanfair, Viki asked Clint if his investigators have turned up anything on Echo and revealed that something Rex found has made the case very personal for him. Clint tried to persuade her to give up her investigation of Echo, and Viki acknowledged that she had been letting Echo get to her and it was hurting her marriage to Charlie. Clint offered her an apology for the mistakes he made years earlier with Echo, but there was one thing still troubling Viki: The letters Rex has seem so familiar to her. Clint claimed to to know nothing about that and bid her goodnight. Once Clint was gone, however, something suddenly occurred to Viki. She rushed over to the bookcase and took down Blaize Pardee's book.

Meanwhile, Rex caught up Gigi on his confrontation with Echo. He was talking about the speeding ticket when he suddenly realized that it coincided with the time he was born in Llanview. "Maybe Echo is somehow connected to my mother," he suggested, pointing out that the story of Rick and Lili still has a lot of holes that Echo may be able to fill. Cristian arrived with an offer for Gigi to attend a trip to Paris with him. Rex assured Gigi that he and Shane would be just fine and urged her to go.

Back at the Angel Square Hotel, Roxy walked in on Echo "ogling" photos of Rex on her laptop. She explained that she's looking for information on Rex because Viki hired him to investigate her. Roxy tried to dissuade Echo from reporting him to the police, and she promised she wouldn't. Echo was clearly affected when Roxy mentioned Rex's son. Roxy stepped out to get glammed up for their photo shoot and when she returned, Echo had a few more questions. Roxy spilled all about Rex during the shoot, but stopped posing when Echo mentioned that Roxy's not his biological mom. Roxy admitted that this is true, but that she loves Rex as though he's her own. Echo got Roxy to resume posing and answering questions about Rex's past. Roxy explained that Rex has Native American parents, which a series of letters proved. Later, Echo phoned Clint and said they need to talk right away.

At the LPD, Marty swore revenge on Natalie and even socked her pregnant rival. She proceeded to ream Natalie out for not helping her protect Cole and even suggested that Natalie hated Marty the whole time she was with John and hated her for carrying his baby. "I really hope that one day your heart will break like mine is breaking right now," Marty warned. John burst into Starr and Cole's apartment to find no one there but James, so he returned to the station and told Marty that the cops will be watching her house all night in case Cole decides to stop by. John sensed that Natalie was upset, and Nat relayed that Marty said some pretty "brutal" things to her earlier. John approached Marty and urged her to go home and get some rest. "I hope Cole's someplace where you'll never find him," Marty sneered before leaving. John sat down with James and asked him once again to spill what he knows, just as Starr showed up at The Minuteman Hotel to see Cole.

Wednesday

Before Greg was brought into the LPD, his parents argued on his behalf to Bo and Nora that Greg made a terrible mistake and was coerced by Eli. Nora explained that the charges against their son are very serious and come with significant prison time. Just as Greg was being escorted out of the hospital by the cops, Téa bumped into him and became emotional as she asked how he could do what he did to her family. Todd threatened to strangle Greg, and Shaun walked up and told Manning to go right ahead. Todd, Téa and Dani left the Evans brothers to their own drama. Shaun got in his brother's face and asked what happened to Charlene, their mutual ex. Greg stuck to his story that while Shaun was in prison, he and Charlene grew close as they worked on Shaun's appeal, she got pregnant, gave birth to Destiny and died. "But how?" Shaun kept asking. Greg explained that Charlene fell during an argument over their child's future, hit her head and immediately died. Afraid that the cops would think he killed her, Greg "disposed of the body." Shaun was horrified by this revelation.

Todd and Téa returned to his house for the first time since she went away to hospice and she asked to see the urn that supposedly contained her ashes. Téa lost her mind when he gave her the jar, tossing it on the ground and screaming as she beat the crap out of it. He bent down to talk some sense into her and reminded her that they're together and that's what matters.

Natalie arrived home after her confrontation with Marty, and Brody could sense that something was troubling her. Natalie explained that Marty would never forgive her for giving John evidence against Cole. Back at the LPD, John managed to extract from James that Cole is hiding out at "some fleabag motel." John continued to press him for details, so James revealed that Cole is at The Pine Cone Motel ... in Pine Valley! After John checked with a buddy in P.V. and learned that no one matching Cole's description was at the motel, he threatened to arrest James for obstruction of justice. James seemed sufficiently scared, especially when John asked if he really wants Starr in the middle of all this, then told the teen to scram. Meanwhile, Starr was at The Minuteman Motel with Cole, who admitted that he hates having to owe James for helping them and for saving Starr when Cole was off committing murder. Starr was terrified of what would happen to their family if he turned himself in, but promised to stand by him no matter what happens. Suddenly, there was a knock on the door. It was James, who wanted to let them know that John caught on that he's lying about Cole's whereabouts. After James was gone, Cole asked Starr to go home for their daughter's sake. She cried and held him close, clearly afraid it would be their last time alone together.

Phylicia, Destiny's grandmother, became emotional as she told Nora about the latest turn of events, and Nora advised her to just give Destiny time to come around. Meanwhile, Destiny visited Dani and apologized for Greg's actions. Dani told her not to worry about what her brother did, but Destiny barked, "Greg's not my brother!" without further explanation. Destiny then listened to a message from Phylicia begging Des to come home.

Bo found John sitting at his desk drinking his 10th cup of coffee that day and told him to call it a night. John went to Llanfair to see Natalie, and walked in just as Brody handed her DNA results that could rule out whether he's her baby's daddy. Natalie tucked them away on a nearby desk and Brody went off to bed.

Thursday

Viki came to Echo with her realization that Echo used fictional letters from a novel to fool Rex. Echo straight-up denied the accusation, but Viki wouldn't let it go, asking why Echo is so against Rex learning who his parents are. Echo remained tight-lipped but said she means no harm against Rex. Viki pointed out that The Love Letters of Rick and Lili takes place in New Mexico, which is where Echo went after she left Llanview. Echo told her to get out. Meanwhile, Rex and Clint crossed hairs at the LPD. Echo phoned Clint insisting once again that they meet. When they finally did convene, he asked her what this is about. "My son," Echo replied.

James visited Ford in the hospital, who was being treated for a few broken ribs. James insisted on knowing who did this to him. Ford was about to reveal the truth when Inez came in. She strongly advised James to get down to the station and tell the cops what he knows about Starr and Cole. Inez tried to express her concern about Ford's condition, but he asked her to leave it alone.

Jessica and Brody woke up together and decided it's time to get the DNA test to determine who her baby's daddy is. Natalie interrupted their cozy moment with a call to Brody saying she's ready to find out her baby's paternity. John walked in and heard Nat say something about a paternity test, but she covered by saying it's about Jessica and Brody. She proceeded to explain that Ford is a possible dad, and John couldn't believe that Jessica slept with Ford. Natalie looked uncomfortable when John wrapped his arms around her belly and marveled, "That's really our kid."

After hiding out at The Minuteman Hotel all night with Cole, Starr suggested they grab Hope and skip town. In a surprising moment of clarity, Cole felt that Hope's life would be too unstable if they went on the run. They professed their love for each other and had sex. Starr ducked into the bathroom while Cole received a call from James urging him to get out of there because the cops are onto him. When Starr returned from her shower, Cole was already at the police station, having left a note behind for Starr. She read the note and burst into tears, just as Cole gave himself up to John.

At Todd's, Dani and Nate reunited while Todd and Téa made up for lost time upstairs. Todd and Téa cuddled after a lovemaking session and Todd suggested that they have a second wedding reception/Téa's alive party. Téa thought he was being silly, but he was serious. They went downstairs to find Dani and Nate kissing. Todd didn't go ballistic on the teens; instead, he offered Nate an invitation to their party.

Ford was on his way out of the hospital when he overheard Jessica say to Brody that she has a good feeling the baby's father is Brody and not Ford. Meanwhile, Viki ran into Jessica at the Angel Square Hotel after confronting Echo and saw her drop something DNA-related on the floor. When Viki tried to ask her about it, Nat said it was for a case and hurried off.

Friday

Cole was frisked for Eli's murder. Starr rushed in and begged Cole not to turn himself in. Cole insisted it was the right thing for him to do, and asked James to take Starr home. Marty charged into the police precinct and was stunned to learn her son was going to be arraigned and booked for murder. Starr promised Cole that Téa would find him a lawyer. When Nora told Starr that the worst case was life in prison, Starr began to hyperventilate.

Rex told Bo that Echo had the other half of the necklace and might know who his father is. Bo offered to bring Echo in and question her, but Rex pointed out it might not be such a great idea, since he'd entered Echo's room in illegally. Bo suggested Rex just ask Echo a question. "Honesty tends to breed honesty," he counseled.

Viki told Charlie she knows Echo is up to something, since Rex's parents, "Rick and Lily," were actually fictional characters in a book. "Echo is lying," Viki declared, but Charlie jumped to Echo's defense. Viki rifled through some papers and noticed that the day Echo got a speeding ticket was the day a baby (Rex) was left at Llanview hospital. "What if Echo is Rex's mother?" Viki asked a dubious Charlie.

Clint didn't believe Echo's claim that Rex was her son. After Echo admitted to leaving her baby at Llanview hospital, Clint scoffed coldly, "That's quite the story." Upon being told that he was Rex's father, Clint denied it was possible. Echo explained that she'd brought the baby to Llanview planning to show him to Clint, but overheard Viki giving Clint a second chance. She wept as she recounted leaving Rex at the hospital, because Gilles (the man she was then with) would have used the baby to get money from the Buchanans. But Rex found his parents, said Clint. "You forged those letters, didn't you Clint?" Echo replied, realizing that book had been written by Asa's grandmother Blaize. Clint admitted it was true. "I did everything I could to make sure that little bastard Rex didn't find out," Clint angrily explained.

Jessica and Brody were upset to see Ford at the hospital. He told them he wasn't following them; he was a patient. Jessica and Brody reminded Ford that he was no part of their baby's life, but Ford wanted to know the results of the test anyway. Jessica agreed to let him know if the outcome affected Ford. Brody noticed from the sign-in sheet that Natalie was also at the doctor's office. Natalie's appointment was for an amnio. Brody entered her room and saw the baby on the sonogram, then held her hand as Vivian inserted the needle into her abdomen. After Natalie got dressed, Jessica entered the waiting room and saw Natalie and Brody. She and Brody went headed into the exam room. Marty arrived at the hospital and learned Natalie had taken her amnio.

The Ford brothers met up at home. Bobby was Googling amniocentisis when James informed him that Cole had turned himself in. Ford figured this gave James a good chance with Starr, but James said he wasn't going to take advantage of the situation. Bobby regretted that any shot at a reconciliation with Langston was blown when she learned he'd slept with Jessica. James answered the door. "Dad," he said, looking anxious.
