One Life To Live Recaps
OLTL Week of Nov. 2, 2009
Monday
As they arrived at their third "compound" searching for the Buchanans' pad in London, David had to remind Destiny who the adult is, then instructed her to hide in the bushes while he distracts Bo and Nora. David pounded on the door and came face to face with Nevil, a dead ringer for Nigel. Nevil explained that he is Nigel's cousin. David wanted to see Bo, but Nevil refused to let him in. Inside, Nora asked Bo if she heard him right when he said he loves her. He had to make it clear that he not only loves her, he is in love with her. Nora explained how much guilt she has carried with her because of what happened with Sam while they were married. He admitted that he'd wasted too much time being angry and that it cost him the love of his life. She asked if he's really ready to forgive her and he said he was. She reminded him that she does love Clint, but smiled as she confessed that she still loves him, too. Destiny managed to distract Nevil and David made his way inside the compound in time to see Bo and Nora kissing.
Todd offered his services to Viki where the campaign is concerned, but she said it's up to the voters now. Viki was amused when Todd told her about the costume contest and asked about Blair. Todd explained that the "secret" Blair had discovered was that Téa and Ross were conspiring to get his money and that's why she married Todd. Meanwhile, Téa was on her way to London with Elijah and confessed that Todd is really Danielle's father. "Ross will kill you!" Eli warned. Téa explained that she'd only learned the truth recently. As Ross was wandering the halls of the Warwick School, Danielle and Matthew plotted their escape. Ross was stopped by the headmistress, who advised Ross that he is not on Danielle's approved visitors' list. Danielle thought she heard her "dad" calling out to her as he was apprehended by a security guard, but Ross was already gone when she stuck her head out of Matthew's room.
Rachel descended to the Buchanan foyer and informed Nigel that this is going to be her last date with Shaun, just as Shaun arrived with an armful of flowers and a limo. She asked him to come inside for a moment and confessed that she doesn't feel the same way that he does about her. Shaun wondered if this had to do with Greg. At the Palace, Vivian put the moves on Greg, but he told her to "take it to the gym." She quickly caught on he's pushing her away because of Rachel and asked why he can't just be with Rachel. Greg explained that this has to do with Greg owing his family and a promise to his mother to not go after Shaun's girl. Viv pointed out that it's very clear that Rachel is into Greg and not Shaun. Meanwhile, Rachel tried to explain to Shaun that she would be in this position whether Greg was in town or not. Shaun left, noting that whoever wins her heart better treat her right.
As the big gay wedding ceremony was about to get underway, Fish reluctantly wished Kyle luck. Reverend Carpenter asked the boisterous protesters to be good Christians and respect their neighbors. The ceremony began, and Starr asked Langston where David is. Langston phoned David and left a voicemail for him revealing that Dorian still loves him. Dorian looked around (clearly for David to show up), while Fish appeared devastated as Kyle anxiously stood next to Nick. As they were about to exchange rings, Kyle suddenly exclaimed, "I can't do this." Nick professed his love to Kyle, but Kyle didn't feel the same way and turned in Oliver's direction. The other couples looked on as Kyle confessed to Oliver that the only person he wants to be with is him. "I love you, Oliver. I always have," Kyle confessed, sending Nick out in tears. Roxy approached and urged Kyle to marry Fish instead. The cameras panned in on the commotion, which Viki and Todd caught at home. After Fish suggested they go on a date first, Andrew resumed the proceedings. As Dorian thought back to her romance with David, Amelia told her there's still time to call it off. Everyone from Llanview to London sat down to watch the mass wedding ceremony, including David, who had just finished listening to Langston's message when Dorian kissed her new "wife." Kyle and Fish kissed and it became a big love fest — even Roxy kissed a female protester!
Tuesday
The polls filled up on voting day in Llanview. Langston and Starr, who are still under 18, accompanied Markko and Cole and asked who they planned to vote for. Markko was quiet when Lang asked if he's voting for her adoptive mom. Dorian approached and gave the young men big hugs. When she saw Marty, however, she gave the shrink the cold shoulder. Markko's conservative parents showed up and said they'd seen the big gay wedding on TV. Mr. Rivera wasn't sure why "these people" had to parade their lifestyles around, a remark that peeved Langston. Dorian returned and introduced her "partner" Amelia. The campaign manager-turned-wife proudly announced that Dorian will legalize yesterday's unions once she's voted mayor, which drove Markko's parents away. Dorian told Markko that she hopes he's an independent thinker! He is, Langston assured Dorian, tossing a look in Markko's direction. But after Markko voted, he refused to reveal his choice for mayor.
Gigi ran into Schuyler, and said she'd done some Web research on her couples counseling and found that her "feelings" for Schuyler are just a symptom that she and Rex need counseling. Schuyler insisted that he and Gigi kissed
because they wanted to. Gigi pointed out that he'll have no time to woo her if he goes to medical school, a suggestion that he found pretty ludicrous. Noelle came over to say hi to Gigi and caught on that something's troubling her and it's not the election. Comparing relationships to muffin mix, Noelle
doled out a little love advice. Afterward, Gigi faced the voting booth, and imagined that she saw Schuyler and Rex's names in the place of Viki and Dorian.
Just as Viki was telling Charlie and Clint that Nat needed some time away, John questioned the hotel clerk in Michigan who lied about Natalie and Rex's next move. When the guy refused to talk, John brought in a local cop to get him to cooperate. Meanwhile, Rex and Natalie arrived at Nash's abandoned cottage in Napa and were surprised to come face to face with Jessica. She explained that the voice on the call she got matched Nash's, and even though she knows Nash is dead, she felt she had to find out what was going on in Napa. Rex advised the girls to tell the police what's going on, but Natalie wanted to wait. Meanwhile, John returned to Llanview and informed Viki, Clint and Charlie that Natalie and Rex are chasing a lead on Jared.
Brody woke up tied to a chair and called out to his sister, who explained that she couldn't let him leave. Rex suddenly received a call from Aunt Corrine, who claimed she had cancer and wanted to tell him once and for all who his father is. She promised to tell Rex the whole story before she dies,
and said she was staying with a friend in the "old neighborhood." Rex got off the phone and shared the terrible news with Nat and Jess. In Michigan, Corrine walked into the very room where Nadine was keeping Brody captive. Natalie pretended to call John and assured Rex that they would be fine, insisting that he go to Corrine. Once he was gone, Natalie informed Jessica that she didn't actually call John and doesn't plan to.
Fish and Kyle had spent the entire night gabbing, and Fish admitted that he hadn't even been on a date since he and Kyle broke up. Kyle officially asked him out, to Fish's delight. They professed their love for one another and sealed it with a kiss. At the polls, Kyle ran into Nick and apologized for hurting him. It pained Nick to say so, but he wished Kyle and Fish happiness.
Starr and Schuyler shared an awkward exchange in which she apologized for getting him into trouble with the school and said she really wants him to be happy. He informed her that he's applying to medical school, then looked back in Gigi's direction. Starr later asked Cole if he was okay with seeing
her talk to her former teacher, and he was fine with it. "It's always been you, Cole," she smiled, reaching for his hand. Marty approached Gigi and asked why she and Rex hadn't started their counseling yet, and Gigi explained that Rex is visiting a sick aunt. Marty suggested that Gigi get a head start on her own. When she later met up with John, Marty mentioned that Rex is visiting his ailing aunt in Michigan, which sent up a red flag for John. Meanwhile, Rex arrived at Nadine's, while Natalie told Jess that whoever was at that cottage will return soon. Rex tended to his aunt, who urged him to have a cup of tea. Nadine watched closely as Rex sipped the tainted tea. Meanwhile, Viki arrived at the polls and left a frantic message for Natalie. Charlie told her to focus on the election and let her grown daughter take care of herself. In front of the cameras, Dorian offered her opponent a handshake and said, "May the best person win."
Wednesday
Matthew called Rachel and told her he still wants to come home. But when Rachel suggested that she pay him a visit in London, he quickly shot down the idea, clearly still set on his escape plan. At the Buchanan compound, David asked Destiny if she'd declared her love for Matthew yet, but she hadn't asked Bo and Nora to let her see Matthew. Nevil called Nigel to see if he knows what David is up to, and they conspired to keep each other informed. Nora returned from a long walk and David accused her of distracting herself from jumping Bo's bones. Bo told David to stay out of it, but David advised his dad to go after what he really wants. Meanwhile, Nora phoned Clint and reported that things had not gone well with Matthew.
Rachel ran into Greg in Angel Square and told him that she ended the relationship with Shaun. He asked where this leaves the two of them, but Rachel said she needed more time. Hoping to speed up her timetable, Greg planted a kiss on Rachel, just as Shaun approached. Rachel ended the kiss, but Shaun was still furious. He got right in his brother's face and accused Greg of wooing Rachel just to prove that he's better than Shaun.
Kim also met Stacy in the square and delivered an anonymous sonogram that she could use to fool Rex. Stacy asked how Kim's plan to snare a Buchanan is going, and Kim revealed that she heard Bo has eyes for Nora, while Clint is all alone in Llanview. Stacy suggested that Kim set her sights on Bo! Meanwhile, Clint insisted on taking the next flight to London to see his wife. Nora urged him to stay and take care of his family situation. She promised her stay in London wouldn't last much longer. Destiny arrived and asked Bo and Nora to let her see Matthew, and they couldn't really say no to the bossy teen. David wanted to accompany her to the school, but Destiny said she has to tell Matthew how she feels without any company.
A P.I. arrived at The Sun offices and informed Todd that Téa had left down with a dark-haired man. Todd assumed it was Ross. Blair walked in and asked why Todd is talking about that dirtbag. Meanwhile, Téa and Elijah arrived at the Warwick School and learned that Ross had just been removed by security. The headmistress assured Téa that no one would get to Danielle without her permission. When Téa asked to see her daughter, the headmistress went to retrieve Danielle. Matthew and Danielle were going over their blueprints when the headmistress pulled Danielle out of the boys' room and announced that she has a visitor. Danielle ran back to her room, hoping to see Ross, but her face dropped when she came face to face with Téa. Danielle looked over at Elijah and asked if that's Téa's new boyfriend, and was confused to hear that he's her "uncle." Dani nearly exploded when she saw the "Do Not Admit" photo of Ross and realized that her "father" had just been there. She stormed out and went to tell Matthew that her mother is there and wants to take her away, so it's time to put their plan into action.
Blair explained to Todd that they're throwing a birthday party for baby Hope, and Todd offered to kick in some money. It's not money she needs, Blair told him, it's her grandfather. Blair spotted the file on Téa and urged him to give up his quest to bring down Téa. Todd agreed to go to the kiddie party, but said he still hopes to find out why Téa is in London. Blair headed out to plan the party, while Todd phoned someone and demanded a private jet to London. Meanwhile, Téa wondered why it was taking the headmistress so long to find Danielle. Just as Matthew and Dani were about to make their escape, Destiny showed up at his door. Nora and Bo once again declared their love for each other, and Bo asked where that leaves them. Nora informed him that she's going back to Llanview (presumably to break it off with Clint), just as Clint was making arrangements to head to London.
Thursday
After Nora announced that she's going back to Llanview, Bo asked why she's running back to Clint. They sat down on the couch together and began to reminisce about the day of their wedding. Nora said she'd never forgotten a word or a moment from that day and once believed that they'd grow old
together. Bo said he still believes that. Nora wasn't sure she could promise not to make another mistake with him, but Bo said he was willing to take the chance. "Will you leave Clint and try again with me?" he asked. Moments later, Bo realized the repercussions of what he just said, but Nora told him not to worry and came to a decision: She's going to leave Clint.
At the Warwick School, Matthew was happy to see Destiny, who asked why his bags were packed. Danielle urged Matthew to get moving, while Téa told Elijah she's willing to give Danielle a few choices. The headmistress returned without Danielle, and Téa nearly tore her head off. Matthew was sorry to tell Destiny that he had to leave ASAP to get his surgery and then jet to Tahiti with Danielle. Tom came running in and informed them that "Iron Maiden" is on a rampage. Dani and Destiny hid while the headmistress interrogated the boys. Certain that Ross had gotten to Danielle, Téa insisted that the headmistress call the cops when she returned. Before Matthew and Danielle fled the school, Destiny came thisclose to telling Matthew how she feels, then said it could wait.
Nadine checked Rex's pulse and assured Corrine that he'd be fine. Corrine remarked that they just have to follow their instructions to keep Rex and Brody away from their loved ones. Just as they were about to tie up Rex, John rang the doorbell. Nadine covered by saying that Brody had just left, but John wasn't entirely convinced.
In Napa, Natalie was sure that Jared was the one who was staying at the cottage and tried to persuade Jessica not to call the cops. Meanwhile, Gigi announced to Schuyler that she needs to get to Michigan to help Rex. She called just as John was questioning Nadine, and Corrine answered Rex's phone
in a whisper. John's phone rang, too, and it was Jessica asking if he'd heard anything about Jared or from Brody. John saw through Nadine's ruse and demanded that she produce Brody right now, but she pretended not to know
what he's talking about. Meanwhile, Corrine abruptly hung up on Gigi to tend to Rex and Brody, who were getting restless. John heard a loud thud, but Nadine insisted it was her cat. She closed the door on him and found that Brody had gotten out of his restraints. When she ran back to the front door, John was right there waiting for her.
After Corrine was so rude to her on the phone, Gigi decided not to go to Michigan after all. Stacy waltzed into Rodi's and showed Gigi the sonogram of "Rex's" baby. Suddenly, Schuyler flashed back to when Stacy drugged him and he nearly had sex with her. He remembered her pleading, "Don't stop" in bed. Stacy gloated that Rex would be thrilled to see his first sonogram. Once Stacy was out of her sight, Gigi went behind the bar and started downing shots. Schuyler tried to get her to stop, but she told him she didn't want to feel anything ... especially the feelings she has for him. She proceeded to get plastered, and asked Schuyler to take her home.
Natalie received a text from Jared asking her to meet him outside and tell no one. Natalie slipped out, lying that she was just going to get something from the car. When Jess saw that Natalie had left the car keys behind, she went to follow her and ran right into Jared, who told her not to speak a word.
Friday
Hope's birthday party made for an awkward scenario as Marty taunted Blair with their shared secret that Todd has a child he doesn't know about. Todd interrupted the women's bickering and asked what's going on. Marty seemed on the verge of spilling the beans when she surprised Blair by advising Todd to never get in the way of Starr and Cole. Dorian and Amelia were glued to the TV as the election results came in, while Jack went around and took bets on the race. Langston kept pressuring Markko to say who he voted for, so he finally said Dorian, then admitted to Cole that he lied.
At Rodi's, Gigi insisted that Schuyler take her home after she had too much to drink. "Rex doesn't care about me, she slurred. "He's got way more important stuff on his mind." In Michigan, Rex was still passed out as Nadine explained to John that a mystery man called her and bribed her to drug Brody. Corrine explained to John that the same man had called her, but it wasn't money that persuaded her to kidnap Rex (she never specified the threat). John showed them a photo of Jared, who they claimed not to recognize, then a few more photos. When he got to a picture of Nash, both women were silent. Rex started to stir and asked what was going on. Brody was alarmed when Rex announced that he left Jessica and Natalie in Napa. John phoned the police there.
In Napa, Jared chased Jessica around a tool shed and tried to explain that he's innocent. Refusing to trust him, she pushed him onto the ground and ran to the rental car, but she couldn't get it to start. Jared stumbled out of the shed as Jessica ran to a nearby greenhouse and called out for help.
In Llanview, Viki met up with a visiting Marcie at the cemetery to mourn baby Chloe. Viki told Marcie how happy Cole and Starr are and what great parents they are to Hope. They reminisced about their Paris, TX, days. "It was like a time out of time for all of us," Viki remarked. Just as Marcie noted that Gigi reconnected with the love of her life, Gigi stumbled into Schuyler's place and jumped his bones. He pushed her away and reminded her that she'd had a lot to drink and isn't thinking clearly. As she tried to seduce him again, she missed a call from Rex.
After catching up with Viki and paying her respects to Chloe, Marcie headed to La Boulaie to see Starr and Hope. At the party, Marty gave Blair a hard time about keeping the truth from Todd, who phoned his private investigator for an update from London.
Before Nadine and Corrine were led off by the cops, Corrine begged Rex to prevent her arrest. "Don't you want to know who your father is?" she offered. In Napa, Jessica locked herself inside the greenhouse, and thought she saw Nash sitting in a chair across the room. Back in Llanview, Viki made a disturbing discovery: Nash's empty coffin.
