One Life To Live Recaps

OLTL Week of May 5, 2008

Monday

Antonio assured John that his clandestine rendezvous with Talia was worth it. He gave her a passionate kiss and expressed how hard it's been for him to pretend they're not together anymore. They declared their love for each other, but John advised his colleagues to be careful because Eddie may still be tailing them. Antonio reminded Talia that staying apart will all be worth it when they bring down Ramsey and get Bo his job back. John apologized and said he can't help them anymore because he must go search for Cole.

Blair slapped Todd and called him a "self-centered idiot." She accused him of letting his ego ruin everything and explained that's why she's turned to John for help finding their daughter. Todd barked that John couldn't even help them find Sam, but she pointed out that Sam is safe and asleep upstairs. Todd refused to accept blame for Starr running away, so Blair berated him for never asking her opinion about how to handle Starr. When Todd recalled how he heroically stopped Cole from “raping” Starr, Blair snapped that the only rapist around is Todd. Ouch! Todd asked Blair if she doesn't at least accept some of the blame for Starr being gone. Blair replied that the only thing she blames herself for is not reeling Todd in. If he keeps on bullying Starr, she might disappear for good, Blair cautioned. Todd didn't seem to take her threats too seriously, and saluted Sgt. Blair as she stormed out.

Meanwhile, Starr admitted to Cole that she partly blames him for their predicament. As they got ready for bed, Starr recalled laughing at a girl in their school who said you couldn't get pregnant the first time you have sex. Cole offered to take Starr for an abortion if that's what she really wants. She didn't say anything either way, but thanked him for leaving Llanview to be with her and their baby. Cole said he was happy they get to fall asleep together, and they settled in for the night.

"Congratulations, Nana," Markko told Dorian after lying that Langston is pregnant. Dorian thought this was a highly creative joke, but Langston said it was no joke. Dorian was visibly hurt, then suddenly went off on Markko, hurling a purse in his direction and threatening to cut off his — well, you know. Langston blurted out that Dorian is acting just like Todd, which clearly hit a nerve with Dorian and only added to her rage. “If this is how a Cramer is supposed to act, maybe I'm not a Cramer anymore,” Langston declared. Langston went on to call out Dorian for not being available enough for her foster daughter. Dorian stormed out, but after cooling down for a bit, returned and apologized for not being there for Langston.

Jared broke from his kiss with Natalie and asked if that meant good-bye. She assured him that she loves him, too, but reminded him that they can't have each other and that he could do jail time for fraud if the truth came out. He pleaded with her to go back in time for one night and apparently made a pretty convincing argument. She took him by the hand and led him inside the house.

Eddie watched Talia go into a hotel room and called Ramsey to let him know that "McBain and Sahid are definitely in for the night." But in the hotel room, Talia and Antonio made up for lost time ... as did Natalie and Jared, who made love for the first time.

Tuesday

Jared and Natalie enjoyed the afterglow of their lovemaking, as did Antonio and Talia, whose bliss was cut short when Ramsey started knocking on the door. John arrived and saved the day, calling out to Talia to give her some extra time to hide Antonio. Once Ramsey was gone, John and Antonio agreed it was time for their next move. Talia confessed that she knows Ramsey is a pig, but she's seen him be kind. John warned her that it's all an act. Meanwhile, Antonio paid Ramsey a visit and handed him back the money he took from the drug bust, explaining that he was looking for a way to pay Jamie's medical costs. "Maybe I can help," Ramsey offered.

Adriana hovered over Brody, who was tied to the bed and assumed they'd done something kinky. He easily wriggled out of his restraints, reminding her that he was special ops. Brody asked what Adriana really wants with him, and she explained that she needs him to keep Gigi away from Rex. But Brody didn't want to be a part of her scheme and blurted out that Shane is not his kid. Adriana started to understand Gigi's reasoning for lying to Shane and insisted to Brody that he's going to help Gigi keep perpetuate the sham. Brody just wanted to go back to his watering hole, so Adriana cut him a very persuasive check.

After Charlie left with Rex and Shane to go the tuxedo place, Viki asked Gigi to tell her what's really going on. When Gigi danced around the issue of what's making her so uncomfortable, Viki pointed out that she loves Rex and suggested she discuss her feelings with Rex. Gigi revealed that she often finds Rex watching her when he thinks she's not looking and that they almost kissed. Viki told Gigi that she can always share her private thoughts with her.

Natalie wondered how she and Jared were going to proceed and was worried about spilling the beans to her parents. Just when it seemed like they were going to finally come clean, Jared had one more thing to get off his chest: Charlie is his dad. Natalie couldn't believe what she was hearing, and started to freak out about how this would affect her mother. Jared asked Natalie if she really wants to break Viki's heart by revealing the truth, and Natalie admitted that she might not tell Viki the whole truth.

At a tuxedo fitting, Michael met up with Cristian and said he'd been trying to persuade Marcie to go to Adriana's bachelorette party. Michael lamented that it was only two years ago this time that he and Marcie had gotten married, and so many negative things had happened since then. Rex arrived and introduced Shane to Cristian, pointing out that they're both artists. The salesman pulled them away before Shane could show his comic book to Cris. Meanwhile, Charlie apologized for not being able to attend the bachelor party because of his recovery. When he made a remark about Rex's "good-looking friend" Gigi, Rex seemed nervous and insisted that Gigi is nothing more than a friend. However, Rex started to unburden himself to Charlie, who advised Rex to think long and hard about this wedding.

Back at Llanfair, Charlie told Viki that he had a "nice, little talk with Rex." Just as Viki was saying that she had an interesting chat with Gigi, the phone rang. It was Natalie, claiming to have some news for her mom.

Wednesday

Adriana let Layla in on the bit of news she'd just learned from Brody. Layla asked how Rex reacted when she told him that he and Gigi have a son together, but Adriana swore Rex would never find out. Layla advised Adriana to admit what this is really about and that Rex will find out. Adriana confessed that she bribed Brody to pretend to be Shane's father. Layla challenged Adriana to tell Rex the truth about Shane, warning that if she doesn't, her marriage will be over before it even starts.

Gigi went by the tuxedo rental place to pick up Shane, but Charlie had already taken him back to Llanfair. Rex admitted to Gigi that he confided in Charlie about their almost kiss. Gigi said she accepted her apology and she gets that he was trying to protect her from Jared. Rex confessed that he didn't try to kiss her to make a point about Jared and that it had more to do with Rex and Gigi. He started to tell her about how he feels, but she stopped him. "It doesn't matter. Tomorrow you are marrying the woman you love, aren't you?" she asked. Rex hesitated to reply and Adriana arrived with an impromptu invite for Gigi to attend her bachelorette party. After Gigi left, Adriana told Rex that she was sorry for being so bitchy to Gigi and wanted to make up for it. He was grateful and affirmed his love for her.

When Natalie learned that Viki was with Charlie, Jared begged her not to say anything about Charlie being his dad. Natalie told her mom that she and Jared were in Texas, which made Viki so excited that she asked Natalie to swing by the Bon-Jour Caf and give her old co-workers a message. Natalie said that she and Jared were getting along better, but didn't say anything more about their time at the ranch. Afterward, she admitted to Jared that she doesn't see a way for them to be together in Llanview. He told her not to think about it, so they made love one more time before heading to the Bon-Jour Caf.

While working in the freezer at the diner, Markko told Langston that he was terrified of Dorian. Langston said they have to keep up their pregnancy ruse to protect Starr, but feared that Dorian would figure out the lie sooner or later. Faster than a bolt of lightning, Todd burst in and suspended Markko from a meat hook by his sweatshirt. He demanded that the kids tell him where Starr and Cole are or he'll turn Markko into carne asada. Markko lied that he doesn't know anything, while Langston directed Todd to listen to her for a minute. Todd held a knife to Langston's chest as she tried to make him realize how much Starr loves Cole. Todd backed off but began to go through Markko's bag, which contained two cell phones. Todd picked up one phone and saw that it had been used to call only one number.

Back at La Boulaie, John asked Blair for some clues about Starr. She said the family had just had a great family poker night and she didn't understand why Starr would leave now. John awkwardly held Sam and whispered to his former nephew that he doesn't care much for Todd but Sam is lucky to have a mom like Blair. She looked over from the kitchen counter and smiled. After John received some good news that the kids had been spotted at a bus station in Newport News, VA, Blair stopped herself from calling Todd and suggested they track down the kids before Todd can get to them. John asked Blair to think about places Starr might have run off to, but Blair said there's no way they would go to a big city because Starr hates them. She confessed to John that she ran away several times when she was in foster care, which made John think. He asked where she had gone, and she answered L.A., Dallas, Las Vegas and even spent one summer at a beach town. When Blair noted that Starr loves the beach, too, John thought they might be onto something.

Meanwhile, Cole arrived "home" to Starr with a dozen roses and some breakfast — and a special T-shirt referring to one of Starr's nicknames. He also revealed that he'd made her an appointment with a local ob/gyn. Starr admitted that she was still a little shy about undressing in front of Cole, even though they'd had sex, so he left the room. Later, Starr and Cole enjoyed some time on the beach but their fun was cut short when Todd called on the pre-paid phone. Starr took the phone from Cole.

Viki expressed her concern that Rex may not be 100 percent sure about this wedding, but Charlie assured her that he'd already talked to Rex about it. She gave him a big kiss and called Charlie a hero, prompting him to state that he never wants to lose her. "I'm not going anywhere," she assured him. Gigi returned to Llanfair consumed with thoughts of a soon-to-be-married Rex.

Before going inside the Bon-Jour, Natalie reminded Jared that they have to keep a low profile and better start practicing now. Inside, Moe and Noelle were bickering about the ingredients of a key lime pie when David Vickers, decked out in rubber gloves and a hairnet, groaned, "For the love of God, would you two stop talkin' about pie?"

Thursday

Todd tried to play nice and asked Starr why she took off when it seemed that things were improving between them. She looked down and rubbed her belly as she hesitated to give an answer, but then explained to her dad that she ran away because she loves Cole and he doesn't understand. Todd apologized and said he'd like to prove to her how sorry he is. Todd started to tear up as he told his daughter that if she came home now, he'll allow her to see Cole whenever she wants. "You will? Even if I'm —" she said, then told him to forget what she was going to say. Todd begged her to come home and be their little girl again. "I can't be your little girl anymore, Dad," Starr sobbed. Starr hung up, and Todd barked to Langston and Markko to get out or he'll put them both on meat hooks. Todd thought back to sounds he heard on the line and remembered a woman saying, "Look! Lucky's Arcade is open" and the sound of seagulls. A few phone calls later and Todd was on his way to Virginia Beach, VA.

Rex poured shots at his bachelor party for Michael, Vincent, Cristian and Roxy, who pointed out that something must really be bugging Rex since he's drinking so heavily. Rex assured her that he was just having a good time. Before heading to the bachelorette party, she told him not to be nervous because he's marrying the girl of his dreams tomorrow. Across the bar, Bo asked Antonio what's going on with him and Talia, but Antonio didn't want to reveal too much. Bo sensed that Antonio's up to something with Ramsey and warned him to be careful. Antonio assured Bo that he and John are going to find out what put Ramsey in his position of power and how they can get Bo his job back. Bo met Rex at the bar and reminded him that the last time Bo got smashed, he was mourning Asa's death and was upset that he never got to make peace with his dad. Bo advised Rex to deal with anything he's holding in before this wedding.

Adriana called Brody and instructed him to reunite with Gigi by tomorrow. Afterward, an eavesdropping Dorian stirred up Adriana by suggesting she call off the wedding if she's so scared of Gigi. Dorian asked why Gigi has so much power over her, which prompted Adriana to blurt out that Shane is Rex's son. Dorian suggested that Brody might be making that up, but Adriana was convinced. Langston interrupted their heated conversation, so Dorian broke it to Adriana that has to tend to a "problem" of Langston's. Adriana stormed off, and Langston was grateful for Dorian's attention. Over breakfast, Dorian told Langston that she would arrange for Langston to have an abortion. Langston's jaw nearly dropped.

Marcie came by the Llanfair carriage house to see Gigi and Shane, who were busy moving into their new home. Marcie grilled Gigi about her latest conversation with Rex and eventually got her to admit that Gigi is still in love with Rex.

Snoop Dogg was indulging in some fine sparkling, uh, water while listening to the new OLTL theme song in his limo. Over at Ultraviolet, Jessica, Sarah and Layla couldn't wait for Adriana to see her surprise guest. Snoop's driver asked if this was his first time in Llanview, but Snoop revealed that he and this town go way back.

At the Bon-Jour, David griped to Moe and Noelle that he's tired of their bickering and they should just a room already. Both were taken aback by his suggestion. Meanwhile, Natalie talked about how magical the caf was for Viki and Charlie, and they continued to mull over their dilemma. Back in the kitchen, Noelle objected to Moe's idea to have David wait tables. "I only did that because I wanted you spending more time with me!" Moe cried. Noelle was touched, and the two were about to kiss when a sickened David broke it up. Noelle went out to check on the customers and was thrilled to find Natalie there. She pointed out how much Natalie is "glowing" and started to ask a million questions. "You must be Natalie's boyfriend!" she said to Jared, extending a hand.

At the bachelorette party, Marcie arrived and informed Adriana that Gigi wouldn't be able to make it because she's moving. Adriana met Brody outside and gave him the address of Gigi's new abode. A drunken Rex stumbled into Brody on his way into UltraViolet and crashed the party. He sidled up to a pole in the club and started to remove his clothing, drawing quite the crowd (including mom Roxy!). Rex started to pull off his pants and Roxy had to turn away. Suddenly, the girls went rushing to the stage as Snoop Dogg and his crew started to perform.

Friday

Starr confessed to Cole that she was upset because Todd kept calling her his little girl on the phone and she could never be that again. "You want to be that little girl again? Just for tonight?" he asked and led her off to the amusements on the boardwalk. They ducked into an arcade just as Blair and John approached a street vendor outside. John flashed a photo of the teens and asked the man if he'd seen them. Never mind that, Starr and Cole were having a fantastic time going on the Tilt A Wheel and Bumper Cars! At the arcade, they ran into Winter, the surfer dude from their house, and asked where they could get a good hot dog, not realizing that Blair had just ordered two for her and John.

Dorian lamented to Langston that a pregnancy could ruin the rest of her life and shared her story about getting pregnant when she was in college (she gave up the baby, Cassie, for adoption). Now that a safe abortion is an alternative, Dorian wanted Langston to consider that as an option. At the doctor's office, Langston begged the doctor to lie to Dorian that she examined her and everything was fine. When Dorian returned, Langston was forced to admit that she's not the one who's pregnant.

At the Bon-Jour Café, Noelle apologized for assuming that Jared and Natalie are dating. As Jared was talking, Noelle pointed out that he reminds her a little of Charlie. David, meanwhile, thought back to what brought him to the Bon-Jour. Suddenly, he was wearing a track suit and standing by a fireplace with a glass of whiskey recalling how we went to L.A. to meet with a casting director, got his own TV show, then got busy at the Playboy Mansion, where he lost his lottery ticket and was subsequently banned from the mansion. After his show (which he renamed Supermodel Crime Club) was cancelled because of the writers' strike, he took off on a stolen motorcycle to track down his lottery ticket, which he was convinced brought him his streak of good luck. He ended up back at the Bon-Jour, where he was beat up by a bunch of Hell's Angels who left the place in shambles. When David came to, Moe was hovering over him, threatening, "You're gonna pay for this." Flash-forward to present, and Noelle was announcing to David and Moe that Natalie and her "uncle" are in the restaurant. David peered over the counter and saw Natalie and Jared kissing!

After Snoop Dogg finished up his first song at Ultraviolet, Rex was mortified when "Mr. Dogg" approached him and apologized for cutting into Rex's strip show. Rex made a toast to fatherhood, a nod to the name of Snoop Dogg's VH1 reality show, when Bo walked up and called out Snoop's name. "Bo Buchanan, we meet again," Snoop said, stone-faced. They hugged and started laughing, explaining to Talia that Snoop was on FRATERNITY ROW when Bo was producing it. Bo had to haul off a drunken Rex, and Adriana confessed to Layla that she feared Rex had gone there looking for Gigi. Sarah pulled Snoop away from teaching Roxy how to Shizzolate so he could perform another song. Afterward, Roxy invited Snoop over to her salon for chicken and waffles but he had to take a rain check. Snoop announced, "Pimpin' has left the building" and walked, saying to himself, "Llanview, what it do!"

Cole and Starr came upon a pile of stuffed frogs just like the one her dad had given her when she was little. They needed a few more tickets to win the frog, so Cole suggested they play some Skee-Ball before eating. While John was calling the police, Blair went to talk to a girl who was looking for food in the trashcan. She gave the girl a hot dog and showed her the photo of Starr and Cole, but the girl didn't recognize them. John assured Blair that Starr wouldn't end up like that girl on the boardwalk.
