One Life To Live Recaps

OLTL Week of March 2, 2009

Monday

Dorian reminded David that being rich "can be very enriching." David,
however, had no desire for money and didn't even want to use the Buchanan
name. "Do you have to rob him [Clint] of his dignity?" David asked. "Yes, is
that a problem?" Dorian responded. David didn't want to live off his wife's
money. "I don't want to be like that," he said. Dorian was stunned when
David said he wanted to return to Hollywood and acting. He admitted that he
was indeed a “two-bit con artist." Dorian wondered if going back to acting
would make him happy. David thought it would. David invited Dorian to come
to LA with him. "I have a life here. A family. A teenager," she reminded
him. David explained that he likes being with her. "I can't," she said
shaking her head. Dorian didn't want to end the marriage, however. David
couldn't let Dorian destroy his new family. But after some more talk, he
would allow Dorian to "stick it to Clint." David asked Dorian to put in a
good word with his father [Bo]. David gave Dorian a passionate goodbye kiss.

Matthew was distressed to learn that David Vickers is his brother. Bo
admitted that his relationship with David's mother was a one night stand. "I
was drunk," he added as he said that Emma Bradley had had a sad life. Bo
told Matthew that he loves him (Matthew) more than anything. "You are a
great guy. I want us to be buddies again like we used to be," Bo said. Bo
mentioned the sadness he felt when he lost Drew. Bo said he'd talk to Nora
about possibly un-grounding Matthew for a night so he could go to the dance.

Rex told Gigi that he wasn't David Vickers’ son. He added that Roxy had told
him that his father was dead. "And I believed her," he said. "My mother
killed my father," Rex finally told a wide-eyed Gigi .

Roxy paid a visit to a mysterious man in a hospital room. She began talking
to him "about our son. I lied to our son tonight. Again. I told him that his
father was dead." She declared that she would always keep the truth about
his identity a secret from Rex. "Rex is the only good thing you and I have
ever done," Roxy said. Roxy left the hospital room. Viewers saw him move his
foot.

Starr insisted to Cole that she didn't tell Schuyler about his drug abuse.
Starr assumed Schuyler put the pieces together by himself because, she said,
"he was you." Starr was exasperated because she couldn't talk to Cole
anymore because he was always high. Cole began yelling at Starr and told her
not to ever talk to Schuyler about him. "I just want to feel something that
doesn't hurt," he said as he pulled Starr in for a passionate kiss. "I can't
do this," Starr said as she pulled away. She added that she was afraid of
Cole. Starr said that Mr. J wanted to help Cole. "Why him?" Cole asked. "He
gets it," Starr tried to explain. Starr said that was no possibility of
"Us" when Cole was still using. She left Cole in the hallway. He immediately
popped another pill.

Schuyler told Stacy that he now lives in Llanview and teaches 11th grade
biology. It was clear that the two had a past relationship. "I've never seen
your eyes so clear," she said. Schuyler began to tell her about how he
pulled his life back together. "I have my mother to thank for that," he
said. Stacy was shocked when he told her his mother had committed suicide.
"Are you okay with talking about it?" she asked. Schuyler said that his
mother had felt responsible for the recent loss of a newborn. Stacy
apologized for not being there for him. Schuyler asked her if she came to
Llanview looking for him. She shook her head. "I kind of hoped," he said
sheepishly. Stacy explained she was in Llanview because of her sister Gigi.
Schuyler reminded her that she's been hung up on a guy "since the first day
I met you." Stacy just laughed uncomfortably.

Tuesday

Gigi walked in on Stacy helping Rex fix his back. Both were not wearing much
in the way of clothing and Gigi was suspect. Natalie came to see Rex and
Stacy almost slammed the door in her face, assuming Natalie was an
ex-girlfriend. Natalie needed a moment alone with her brother. She wanted to
hire him to do some PI work on what Tess was up to when "she was on the
warpath." Natalie wondered why Tess was at the hospital and why did she go
back to the cottage. Rex came up with some ideas, but none of them made
complete sense to Natalie. Natalie explained she needed to know everything
Tess had done in that time period. Rex agreed to take the case with the
family discount. Natalie promised a bonus if he found what she was looking
for. Stacy headed out. Natalie noticed Stacy making eyes at Rex.

Jessica walked in on Brody after he finished working out. He thought it was
sweet that she was worried about him. Jessica wanted to be there for him and
told him that Marty had been arrested for Wes' murder. Jessica didn't think
Marty could have done it in the past, but "she's different now." Jessica
added that she still considers Marty a good friend. "That leaves Wes' killer
still out there and me without an alibi," Brody said with a worried look on
his face. Antonio showed up and wanted to interrogate Brody. Jessica tried
to lie for Brody and insisted he was at St. Ann's the night of Wes' murder.
Brody wouldn't let Jessica lie for him and told Antonio that he didn't have
an alibi. "Be careful both of you," Antonio said as he exited. "How do you
know him," Brody asked. "We were married," Jessica told a surprised Brody.

Nora gave Ray the all clear. Marty was next in line to see Nora and was
surprised to hear that neither her lawyer or John would be accompanying her.
Nora reviewed Marty's case with her. "Sloppy drunk, dressed like a slut, out
of control," Nora read. Nora read Wes' forensic report and confirmed that
the fingerprints on the murder weapon were Marty's. Marty insisted she was
not guilty. Nora said she was going to request remand. She could go to
Statesville or "you can play ball with me" Nora announced. Nora said Marty
should come back to her house "and live with your son." Marty didn't think
the mother instinct would come back. "So fake it," Nora said. "Motherhood is
stepping up even when you don't feel like it," she continued. Nora reminded
her friend that she wasn't going to give up without a fight. Marty insisted
Nora didn't understand what she was going through, but Nora reminded her
that she had been in a coma, she had had amnesia. Nora added that she worked
hard at reestablishing her life.

Starr told Lola and Langston that things were over for good with Cole. Lola
suggested some nefarious ways to get him back, but Starr insisted she wasn't
interested until Cole stopped popping pills. Starr told Langston that she
and Cole had had another fight. Langston thought it was strange that Starr
was turning to Mr. J. "Mr. J isn't somebody you should trust," Langston
warned Starr and suggested that Starr tell Marty that Cole was doing drugs.
Starr reminded Langston that Marty was in jail.

Ray came to Dorian's door to talk to Lola. He apologized for what happened
and she fell into his arms. Ray said hello to Langston and said he was given
the opportunity to make amends. "I let Clint Buchanan use me and I can only
hope that I can earn your forgiveness," he said. Seconds later, he was
clunked over the head with a glass decanter.

Tea went to see Carlotta and was greeted with a slap in the face. "How could
you do that to Cristian. You used to baby-sit for him," Carlotta said. She
reminded Tea that Starr used to be her stepmother. Tea tried to explain that
she wouldn't have gotten Cristian involved if she knew he was in any danger.
Carlotta reminded Tea that she didn't have anyone to enjoy all her newly
earned money with. Clearly Carlotta had hit a nerve. Gigi dropped in to put
in a good word for Stacy. She learned that Stacy had not filled out an
application. On her way out, Gigi ran into Stacy, who knew she had been
caught in a lie yet again.

Cole got a call from his dealer Asher. Asher came up to visit him and
brought him his mail and a bag full of new pills. "These just came on the
market," Asher said. Cole paid for the pills and escorted Asher out via the
back stairs. As he headed out, Marty and Nora approached Cole's door. Nora
gave her a big hug and wished her luck. Marty waited for Cole in his room.
She remembered reading little Cole a book. Cole's phone ran, she found the
letter from Llanview High and began to open it. Starr left a frantic message
on Cole's phone. Marty read the letter and uncovered the stash of pills on
his bed. She was shocked.

Wednesday

Blair told John that she had taken the incriminating cover shot of Marty for
the Intruder with her cell phone. "Why would you sell Marty out to a piece
of crap tabloid?" he demanded to know. John assumed Blair had done it to get
back at him. Blair said Marty deserved to be in jail. "She killed Wes
Grainger," she insisted. Blair and John continued to bicker. Blair thought
that John was simply marking time with her. John denied it and pulled her
into a passionate kiss to make his point and they quickly fell into bed.
Marty called John on his cell phone. "Okay, John, you choose. Her or me,"
Blair said as she straddled him.

Marty came face to face with Cole seconds after she discovered his stash of
pills. "What are you doing here?" he asked, clearly upset that she had gone
through his stuff. Marty said she had read the letter from his school. Cole
demanded that she leave his room. She refused to budge until he told her
what he was doing with all those pills. Cole didn't deny taking the pills
and reminded her of her recent wild behavior. "You can take your fake mother
act and go straight to hell," he said. Cole rattled off the reasons he was
taking pills — dead baby, Todd getting away with things, her rejection of
him, etc. Marty tried to explain how things had been for her. Cole threw the
photo album across the room. "You moved in with a guy you didn't know just
to get away from me," he yelled. "I'm so sorry," she replied, her eyes
filled with tears. Marty hoped to start over. Cole thought she was there
because Wes had died. Marty insisted that wasn't true. Cole said he had gone
to the Angel Square hotel to tell her he was accepted to LU but instead
overheard Marty and Wes arguing. "Did you kill him?" Cole asked. Marty
couldn't believe her son thought that of her. "I acted like an idiot," Marty
admitted, "but that doesn't make me a murderer." Marty tried her hardest to
get Cole to give her a second chance. "I want my son back," she pleaded.
"I'm worried about you," she added and she kept apologizing and insisted she
could make it right. "Give me back my pills," he said. "Keep them. I can
always get more," he said as he stormed out. "You are not my mom," he added.

Ray dropped to the floor after Dorian clocked him over the head with a glass
decanter. Dorian explained that she was protecting Langston from Ray.
Despite Langston's attempts to explain why Ray was there, Dorian insisted
that it was another con from Ray. "He's an escaped felon," Dorian yelled.
Ray began to get up and told everyone he had been cleared of all charges.
"I'm a free man," he said. Dorian hoped he and Lola would return to
Colombia. Ray said he was going to make a fresh start in Llanview. Langston
was very happy. Dorian not so much. Ray wanted to make a deal with Dorian: call it even. Dorian told Ray that she was now married. "Now
that is a shame," Ray said. Ray wanted to broker a truce.

Lola and Langston tried to get Starr to come to the dance with them. Starr
wasn't sure but eventually changed her mind. Starr showed Langston what was
in her locket — baby Hope's hair.

Cristian went looking for Carlotta but ran into Layla. Things were tense.
"You are the biggest jackass on the planet," she said. "You can't make me
feel any worse that I do," he replied. Cristian asked if Layla had heard
from Sarah. He has some things he wanted to say to her. Stacy eavesdropped
when she heard Rex's name. (Layla had included him in her list of creeps in
Llanview.) Cris left with Sarah's number. Stacy joined Layla in the booth,
under the premise of admiring her handbag. Stacy asked Layla if she thought
Rex was a bad guy. Layla told her about the Adriana debacle involving Rex.
Layla spilled all the details to a wide-eyed Stacy. "You are kidding me,"
Stacy said. "Rex was a real player before Adriana," Layla said. "Once a
cheat, always a cheat," Layla added.

Cris called Sarah and told her Vanessa was gone. "She was a mistake," he
added. Sarah hung up on him.

Gigi caught Stacy in a lie when she told her that Carlotta didn't have her
job application. Stacy played dumb and thought Carlotta had lost the
application. (Stacy had thrown it out in a previous episode.) Stacy asked if
she had done anything wrong to annoy Gigi. "Does this have to do with Rex?"
Stacy asked. Stacy thought Gigi was mad because she helped Rex release
stress in his back. Gigi assured her she was not bothered at all.

Rex and Natalie started lurking around the hospital determined to find out
what Jessica/Tess was doing there late last year. Rex broke into the
security office. They found the tapes and tried to narrow them down to the
location Tess had entered the hospital. Oliver Fish caught them. He was new
to hospital security. Natalie lied and said she was looking for the
restroom. Oliver said he had locked the door. Natalie and Rex insisted it
had been open when the got there. Oliver left and relocked the door. Rex
pulled the fire alarm and they broke back into the security office. Rex and
Natalie saw Tess on the videotape. Natalie recognized Bess on the videotape.
"Who?" Rex asked. Natalie explained that Bess was another one of Jessica's
alters.

Viki enjoyed feeding baby Chloe. Viki assured Jessica that she was a good
mother. Jessica reported that Natalie was making an effort with her. Viki
was happy Jessica was feeling better. "I finally feel like I'm getting back
to being myself," she said with a smile. Jessica shared that she still
misses Nash so much, but added that she feels close to him when she's near
Chloe and Bree. Gigi popped in to see Viki. She needed a Paris, Texas coffee
talk. Gigi opened up about Stacy. "Ever meet my sister Tina? Talk about
upsetting," Viki said. Gigi recounted all of Stacy's recent activities
involving Rex. "You know that Rex is crazy about you," Viki reminded Gigi.
Gigi nodded but said there was just something about Stacy these days. "It's
like getting to know someone new. I don't trust my own sister," Gigi
confessed. Viki warned Gigi to watch her back. Gigi thanked Viki for the
talk and went home.

Thursday

John chose Blair over Marty when he ignored her call. However, Marty called again and Blair picked up the phone. "I've got a message for you Marty. John's busy," Blair said to a shocked Marty. John took the phone but Marty had hung up. "She hung up when she heard you were busy," Blair explained. The romantic mood was ruined and John put on his coat and started to leave. Blair made it clear that John should never come back and slammed the door behind him. Todd called Blair looking for Starr. "The old Blair Cramer is
back," she announced and reminded him about the restraining order. "I'm going to wash you out of my hair John," Blair said as she headed to the shower. A person dressed in black entered in bedroom and followed Blair into the shower. The person was holding a large knife.

John showed up at Marty's door. Marty explained that Cole was in trouble and it was her fault. John assured her she wouldn't have to deal with the situation alone. Marty showed John the pills and explained that Cole might not graduate. John didn't think it was too late for Marty to be a mother to
Cole. Marty had no idea where Cole might have gone to. "I'm afraid at what he might do with all that anger," Marty added. "I think I might know where Cole went," John said. John showed up at Todd's door and broke in. Todd wasn't there.

Ray was sitting comfortably in Dorian's living room. Dorian made it clear she didn't want anything to do with him. Ray explained that he was staying in Llanview so Langston and Lola could get closer as cousins. Dorian asked Ray to leave her house. Then Moe entered and asked Dorian to leave. Dorian laughed and said that she hadn't really signed over her house to Moe. Moe wondered why Dorian wasn't at the Buchanan mansion. Moe presented Dorian with the papers she had signed. Moe shook hands with Ray. Dorian called Moe a hick but quickly apologized. Moe immediately invited Ray and Lola — and even Dorian — to live with him.

Bo decided not to send Matthew to military school when he learned he was David Vickers' father. Bo didn't think they had to worry about Matthew and drugs anymore, but he was still going to find out who was supplying drugs to Llanview High. Matthew came down and "looked really cool" according to Nora and Bo. Nora ran to get her camera. Nora and Bo talked about the fact that Matthew was growing up and that they had to learn to trust him.

A very stoned Cole banged on Todd's door and demanded "everything you took from me." Todd wanted Cole to go home but Cole barged right in. "Drunk are we?" Todd asked. Cole reported that "everything changed when you pulled me
out of that bed with Starr." Cole went on to rattle off everything Todd had done to ruin his relationship with Starr. "What would you like me to do?" Todd wondered. Todd added that Starr wished he (Todd) was in jail. Todd tried to convince Cole that he loved Starr "more than anyone else in the world." Cole then started screaming about Todd's treatment of Marty. Todd was sure Marty hadn't murdered Wes. "Thanks to you my mom doesn't even know me," Cole said. "What do you want?" Todd asked. "Get out of my house," he demanded. Cole tried to strangle Todd but then stopped. "I'd rather be dead than be you," Cole said as he stormed out of Todd's house.

At the dance, Starr looked for Cole, but he wasn't there. Starr left the gym leaving Lola, Langston and Markko talking on the dance floor. Langston and Markko started talking about his decision not to go to UCLA for "us." An envious Lola watched them dance. When Markko showed Lola where the water fountain was, she pulled him into a kiss. Markko pulled away and Lola was embarrassed. "You can't tell Langston about this. Promise me," she begged. Lola promised him it wouldn't happen again. "It will be our little secret," she said.

Matthew met Becca, the girl he liked at the dance and was then ridiculed by the guy she came with. Another girl started to talk to Matthew, but he only had eyes for the first girl. Matthew asked Becca to dance.

Starr started talking to chaperone Schuyler Joplin about Cole and his pills. "He has to be honest with himself,"Schuyler reminded her. Starr sent Schuyler a text reminding him that she still cares. Starr was upset that Cole hadn't texted her back. Starr got a call from Todd, but didn't answer. Schuyler joined her in the hallway by the lockers. "I don't feel like I fit
in anymore," she said mentioning that the baby was a big part of that. Starr told Schuyler he always knows the right thing to say. "It's because I've already made every mistake known to man," he added. Schuyler told Starr that his mother had been in cahoots with her father to steal her baby, but quickly added that he had burned the letter. Schuyler explained what their
plan had been. "Why would she do that?" Starr wondered. He explained that Todd had blackmailed his mom. "You did the same thing I did," she said referring to the fact that they had both done things to protect a parent. "You really understand," Schuyler said. "Yes I do," Starr said as she moved forward to kiss Schuyler. At that very moment, Cole walked into the hallway and saw them kissing.

Friday

Blair was stabbed in her shower by a person dressed in black. Dorian walked into Blair's room and shut off Blair's phone — John was calling. Dorian opened the bathroom door, found Blair on the floor and began screaming. Todd came up behind Dorian. "What did you do to her?" a hysterical Dorian asked Todd. Todd called 911 to report the stabbing. Todd claimed he didn't do it. Dorian asked Todd to apply pressure as she took Blair's heartbeat. The EMTs showed up and Dorian told them what to do.
Shane had a sleepover and Gigi had to work, which left Stacy offering to "play" with Rex. Gigi was not amused. Stacy overheard Rex talking about his dead father. Gigi and Shane headed out. When Rex was upstairs showering, Stacy put something in Rex's beer and smiled. Roxy showed up. "So you are the stripper," she said. Roxy wondered why Stacy was just wearing a robe. Roxy made herself at home. Stacy hinted that Rex had talked about his father. "I can't believe he told you what I did," a panicked Roxy said. Stacy encouraged Roxy to go home. Roxy left and Rex bounded down the stairs. "Who was that?" he asked. "Delivery," Stacy lied as she showed Rex that his favorite pizza had just been delivered. "Bet you're thirsty too," she added holding the drugged bottle of beer in her hand. Stacy dared Rex to a chugging contest. "Let's go," he said and began to chug.
John and Marty were in a car outside Todd's house. They had no idea where Cole might be. John called Blair hoping to get Starr's number. Marty continued to berate herself about having neglected Cole and ignoring her feelings. "I was mad as hell at the world. Just like Cole," Marty admitted. John promised her that everything would work itself out.
Cole pulled Schuyler off of Starr, as they were kissing. Starr was stunned that Cole caught them. Cole pushed Schuyler up against the lockers. Starr threatened to call Marty. "Do you think she really cares?" Cole yelled as he refused to let Schuyler go. Starr was upset when Cole compared Schuyler to Todd. Then vice principal Dickinson showed up and Cole immediately told her about the Starr/Schuyler kiss. "Is this true?" she asked. Cole added that Schuyler should have put meth head on his resume. Cole asked Starr to leave with him, but she refused. "I kissed him," she explained. Schuyler was taken to the vice principal's office and Cole stormed off, leaving Starr alone in the hallway. Langston couldn't believe Starr had kissed a teacher. "I don't even know if it means anything," Starr told her stunned friend. "What's wrong with you?" Langston asked. "You kissed a teacher!"
Cole swallowed a handful of pills and got into his car. A loopy Cole — with Matthew in the passenger seat — couldn't stay focused on the road. He kept remembering seeing Starr and Schuyler kiss and the fight with his mom. Gigi and Shane were also driving on the same road having to return home to get Shane's inhaler. Gigi and Cole's cars collided head on.
Nora and Bo looked at pictures of little Matthew. "Our baby's all grown up," Nora sobbed. The two remembered the moment when Nora had told Bo that Matthew wasn't his son. "It was one of the worst moments of my life," Bo admitted. Nora repeated how sorry she was that Bo had missed Matthew's early years. They continued looking at pictures. "It all turned out all right," Bo said as he remembered telling Nora that he was Matthew's my son. "Matthew Buchanan. What a great sound," Bo said with a big smile. Bo and Nora remembered when they told him Bo was his father. They hoped Matthew was having a nice time at the dance and smiled as they put the photo Nora had just taken of Bo and Matthew in her photo album.
Matthew and Becca were dancing. When the music stopped, they kissed. One of the other students embarrassed Matthew by saying Matthew had requested a love song. Soon the light shone on Matthew and Becca and the students circled around them. Fortunately, Destiny pulled the plug on the music. Becca admitted she was only dancing with Matthew on a dare. Matthew ran out and Destiny went after Becca's boyfriend out of loyalty to her pal Matthew.
