One Life To Live Recaps
OLTL Week of June 28, 2010
Monday
Natalie walked into Jessica's room to find Brody in her sister's bed and freaked out. When she tried to explain to Jessica that she just came in to retrieve a set of keys, Jessica laughed and said Nat acts like she thinks something's going on between Nat and Brody. Natalie was visibly uncomfortable, which did not go unnoticed by Jess. Nat headed to the police station to inform John that she'd passed her forensics exam and is up for a job at the LPD. She wanted to make sure this was okay with him before she accepted, and he was totally okay with it. Her first assignment? Reexamine physical evidence in the case against Todd.
Back at Llanfair, Brody reminded Jessica that they were thinking about their future before her long bout with amnesia. Just as they were resuming that talk, Bree walked in and screamed out, "Brody! Are we having a sleepover?" They sat her down to try to explain the situation, but she announced that she wants Brody to be her daddy.
Bull trained a gun on Nate while James tried to make arrangements to drop off the cash. Once he hung up, Bull demanded to know where Nate's got his $50,000 stashed. Bull grabbed Nate's phone and saw that the last call he made was to Dani. As they waited to deliver their stolen car, James promised Starr that he won't forget her once their adventure is over.
At the Delaware beach house, Hannah urged a distraught Cole to get some shuteye, but he couldn't stop thinking about Starr with some guy. As Hannah urged him to focus on the good things in his life, she flashed back to their steamy make-out session earlier that day. Cole fell asleep but had a nightmare about Starr making out with the other guy and telling Cole that it's all his fault. Meanwhile, McBain discovered that Hannah's family owns a vacation home in Bethany Beach, DE and made a call to the local PD. A friendly police officer soon showed up at the house and recognized Hannah, asking if she's there alone. She insisted that he is, and the officer explained that John McBain from Llanview, PA, called to say that Hannah is on the run. Hannah refused to go to the station with the officer, but when she realized it'd look better if she did, she asked him just to wait while she changes. She then lied to Cole that there's a cop there looking for him and they have to go. John phoned the cop who was waiting outside and advised him to move or he'll lose Hannah. Sure enough, Cole and Hannah had split.
Matthew arrived at the Palace to meet David for breakfast, while Danielle enjoyed breakfast with her mom at a nearby table. Both teens panicked when they realized the other was there. Dani revealed to her mom that Matthew professed his love for her. Téa urged her to give Matthew some time to come around to the idea of being friends. David had an idea about how to make Dani think twice about their breakup: Call up their prostitute friends. Matt revealed that he's already started his revenge plan on Dani and Nate and explained to David about Nate's stolen cash.
Todd's private investigator showed him a photo of Starr with James, who Todd had trouble identifying. Todd spied Dani and Téa at the Palace and crashed their breakfast. Dani reluctantly agreed to let him sit with them. He explained about Starr's disappearance and Danielle recalled seeing "some guy" walking around with Starr's phone at the country club. Todd showed them the photo and Téa recognized the boy as the same teen who ran into Todd at the hospital. Dani received a call from Nate, who urgently needed her help. She could tell that he was in trouble and asked if someone was onto them. Nate instructed her to go get the cashier's check from his mom's house. Matt tried to talk to Dani about what he did, but when she practically bit off his head, he backed off. Seeing no other alternative, Dani asked Todd for help. He jumped at the chance to help her, so she informed him that she needs $50,000. Meanwhile, James and Starr were on the road when they swerved to avoid hitting something with their stolen car.
Tuesday
After swerving to avoid something in the road, Starr and James crashed their stolen car into a tree. James woke up first and saw that Starr was still unconscious. He managed to revive her and reminded her that Starr grabbed the wheel when she saw a small animal in the road. They got out to assess the damage and James realized there was no way they could get Bull the money now. Meanwhile, Rex brought the metal briefcase he found in the woods to Ford's hospital room to see if he was connected to the business card inside, but Ford claimed to know nothing about it.
Bree asked Brody once again if he could be her daddy, but Jessica told Bree she has a daddy, even though he's in heaven. Brody gave the little girl a few sweet kisses before Jessica put her back to bed. When she returned, Brody told Jessica he wants to be a family with her and Bree. When the subject of Ford came up, Jessica clearly didn't want to talk about it, but was saved by Bree calling out for her mom.
Todd offered to help Danielle out of whatever jam she's in, so she told him she needs $50,000, while Nate was still sweating it out at gunpoint in the cabana. As Kelly and Langston arrived at the Palace, Ford phoned Langston but she hesitated to answer. Kelly spotted Todd across the restaurant and thought back to their kiss, then did her best to avoid him. Dorian asked why she was acting so strange, but Kelly said it was nothing. Dani pulled Todd outside and confessed about the money she and Nate found. David eavesdropped as Kelly told Dorian that Reed went back to London after their split. She explained about her mother's vase that broke and her search for the mystery man whose name was enclosed. David thought this was a job for the SUPERMODEL CRIME CLUB. Dorian reminded him that that was a role he played on TV and does not exist in real life. They soon got into it over David's fake job with The Banner and Dorian told David to get lost. She resumed her dinner with Langston, who revealed that Ford said he loves her. David continued to eavesdrop as Dorian gave love advice that was clearly drawn from her experience with him. While Dorian excused herself to take a call, Langston received a phone call, too. It was Ford, and this time she answered, but only to tell him never to call her again.
While Gigi was working at Rodi's, Viki gave offered some words of wisdom about her future and was supportive when Gigi expressed a desire to attend college. Kelly dropped by after her dinner with Dorian and was telling Viki about her missing person when Rex overheard. Kelly was thrilled when he offered to lend her a hand.
Starr phoned her grandma Addie so she could say goodnight to Hope and sang the toddler a little lullaby. As she crooned, "My Little Starr," a montage showed Bree joining Jessica and Brody in bed, Ford brooding in his hospital bed, Dorian leading Langston out of the restaurant as David watched, and Gigi finishing her college application. At the end of the song, Todd used Dani's phone to call Bull and told him to listen up.
Wednesday
On their way to see her mom in Silver Spring, Cristian and Layla made love in a hotel room in Maryland, unaware that Cole and Hannah were actually staying in a room next door. Cole told Hannah he wants to turn himself in for jumping bail, just as John and Natalie arrived at Hannah's beach house with the local police chief. Natalie started a forensic investigation, while John caught the chief up on Hannah's misdeeds. They found a loose cell phone battery tucked away in a drawer and guessed it might be Cole's. They also found a condom wrapper and assumed Cole and Hannah had sex.
At the hospital, Blair found Ford doing situps and pressed a high heel to the recovering assault victim's chest. She threatened to bring him serious bodily harm if he doesn't stay away from Langston. Ford was confused when he saw The Sun cover story claiming Hannah's on the run and was obviously more concerned about that than Blair's threats. Later, Ford read a mysterious note telling him he shouldn't have lived and "I'm in charge now."
Cristian left the motel room to get some breakfast and was surprised to run into Cole. He rightly guessed that Cole had jumped bail. Cole explained that he's searching for Starr, and Cris promised to keep his whereabouts a secret. Layla received a call from Ford asking why Hannah hadn't been picked up yet. When Cristian returned to their motel room, Layla told him that Ford called and said Hannah's the one who attacked him. She mentioned that Hannah's got a thing for Cole, which made Cristian worry that Cole might be in danger.
Cole accused Hannah of stealing his phone battery and started going through her things. When he found her phone, which was supposedly missing, he demanded to know what's going on. Hannah lied that she took the battery to save Cole from ruining his life by calling the cops. Hannah slipped about something she'd heard on his voicemail earlier and was forced to tell him that the cops are after her, not him, and that she's a suspect in Ford's beating.
Eli ran into Téa at the Palace and was surprised to hear that Todd was being a model caretaker. When Téa walked into the restaurant to find Todd comforting Danielle, she assumed he'd just told Dani about Téa's illness. "How could you tell her?" she cried. Dani was confused and asked her mom what's going on. Realizing she was mistaken, Téa said she just thought Todd was bothering Dani. Todd took a call from Bull, who informed him that the price for Nate's release is now $500,000. Todd made Bull put Nate on the phone so he'd know the teen is okay. Bull demanded they meet at the country club in one hour. Dani admitted that something's going on with Nate to her mom, but was saved by Todd's return. He privately informed Dani that he's going to meet with Bull and insisted that she stay at the hotel with Téa. She relucantly agreed and sat down to breakfast with her mom, who paled when Dani asked just what it was Téa feared Todd had told her.
Blair met up with Eli at the pool and announced that she had "taken care" of Ford. Eli told Blair not to to worry about that creep, then literally swept Blair off her feet and carried her to a nearby cabana. They were stunned — and a little confused — to walk in on Bull there with Nate. Bull introduced himself as Nate's dad and asked the lovers to find their own cabana. Afterward, Blair remarked that she thought that seemed a little strange. Bull told Nate he hopes Blair bought their story or it'll be time for Bull to cut his losses. Todd soon arrived, breezing past a bikini-clad Blair without a look, and knocked on the cabana door. Meanwhile, Ford received a call from his mystery stalker and assured him/her that he did just as he was told and identified Hannah as his attacker — even though they both know that's a lie.
Thursday
While Nora and Bo were at the airport waiting for David to pick them up, David was still asleep at the garret. They phoned Matthew, who lied that David was experiencing car trouble, so they decided to take a cab. Matthew nudged David, not realizing he had Wendy right next to him. The room was a mess, and David was hardly in any condition to help out. Wendy felt queasy and went to the bathroom, while Matthew and David worked furiously to clean up the place. Bo and Nora walked in just as they finished the job and were impressed to see how spotless it was. David assured them that he'd been taking terrific care of Matthew since his breakup with Dani. Matthew was mortified that David even brought that up. Later, Nora and Bo privately marveled to each other how clean the place really was, but their jaws dropped when a barely dressed Wendy emerged from the bathroom.
Danielle assumed that whatever Téa was hiding earlier is her intention to marry Todd again, which Téa quickly denied. Dani asked if they're back together, and Téa danced around the question, asking Dani just to keep an open mind about Todd. She began to feel faint and took a pill from her bag while Dani was out of the room. Téa insisted to her concerned daughter that she just has a headache. Once she convinced Dani that she was okay, Téa urged Dani go to the country club to celebrate the Fourth of July.
While Todd was trying to get into the cabana that Bull had designated as their meeting spot, Kelly walked up and demanded to know why he randomly kissed her the other day. She asked if he was trying to ignore something that was going on with Téa or Blair, but he insisted that he's drawn to Kelly. He tried to pull her into a nearby cabana, but she laughed at him and ran off. When he was finally alone, he burst into the other cabana only to find no one inside.
Dorian arrived at the country club with a photographer and an American flag for a mayoral photo op with her family. Blair and Dorian talked about scummy Ford, and as Dorian got heated up talking about him, Blair wondered if she was really talking about David. Kelly arrived and announced that she'd hired Rex to help her find Bennett. Blair was confused because she thought Todd was going to help her. Kelly shrugged that Todd is useless. Just then, David waltzed over in skimpy stars and stripes trunks. "Happy Independence Day," he beamed.
On their way to the barn where they were supposed to meet Bull, Starr and James stopped for a bite to eat at a roadside caf. Starr phoned her mom, who was relieved to hear her voice and notified her that Todd has some men looking for her. Blair asked about the boy who stole the car with Starr, but Starr wouldn't give her an answer and promised to explain everything when she comes home the next day.
Dani tucked her mom in for some rest and headed to the country club to see if Todd had taken care of business yet. When she arrived at the cabana to see that Todd was alone, she panicked. Todd showed her the note Bull left saying their meeting place had been changed. Back at the Palace, Téa reviewed her opening statement in Todd's case when she suddenly collapsed. Bull phoned Todd and asked if he got the message.
In Maryland, Hannah swore to Cole that she did not attack Ford and he just randomly decided to accuse her. Cole asked Hannah if she knew the cops were after her before they left town and thought all of this seemed a bit too convenient for Hannah. He deduced that Starr was never at that beach house, forcing Hannah to come clean. He rightly guessed that she planted the diploma and condom wrapper at the beach house, and asked why she was so intent on keeping her away from Starr and Llanview. "Because I love you!" she cried out. Cole wasn't quite sure what to make of her exclamation.
Friday
David made a jab at Kelly about her current "dry spell" and assured her that today's Fourth of July celebration would end it. Eli and Blair had a passionate romp in a cabana, while Brody and Jessica arrived for the picnic. They were kissing just as Ford (wearing his shirt completely unbuttoned) walked up and eyed Jessica. He walked over and asked Brody if there'd been any word on Hannah's whereabouts. "Nice seeing you again," he winked to Jessica before walking off to catch some rays. Brody wondered how Jessica knows Ford. Speak of the devil, David was calling Ford a wannabe when he waltzed up wearing the exact same stars and stripes swimsuit as David! Dorian thought she was seeing double.
Fearing someone at the caf recognized them, James planted a kiss on Starr, who was miffed. Meanwhile, the man showed a cashier the photo of James and Starr, who realized that the man with the photo works for her dad. Starr confused the lackey by revealing herself and suggesting they kill some time at a hotel. While Starr slipped off to the restroom to "freshen up," the waitress informed the guy that the boy he's looking for was there, too. Todd's guy went to look for Starr, but it was too late: Both teens had run off.
In Maryland, Cole continued to confront Hannah about her lies and accused her of trying to split up him and Starr from the start. Suddenly, John McBain barged in, followed by Natalie. They arrested her for the attempt on Ford's life, which Hannah denied. Cole urged her to tell John what she told him: that she lied about seeing Todd push Marty down the stairs. Cole suggested that Hannah's the one who killed John's baby, which caused Natalie to lose her cool with their suspect. As she was led away in handcuffs, Hannah claimed she didn't have anything to do with Marty's fall or Ford's attack.
At the Fourth of July picnic, Jessica explained to Brody that Ford briefly hit on her one time at Cristian and Layla's. While Brody was on a phone call, Jessica confided in Kelly that Ford gave her a look that made her wonder if she should finally tell Brody about her night with Ford. Brody returned and said he'd heard from John that Hannah's been arrested. Jessica announced that she had something to tell Brody, and began to recall the night of the prom. Meanwhile, Ford and David had a battle of words over their matching swimsuits. Dorian jumped in and berated Ford for hurting Langston. Just then, Langston walked up. They began to chat, but Dorian stepped in and said Ford isn't worth Langston's breath. Langston pretended to be civil to Ford, then tossed him in the pool, which gave Dorian a great chuckle. David and Dorian resumed their bickering, which ended with Dorian shoving David into the pool. Langston tracked Ford down to a nearby cabana, but Kelly stopped her from making a huge mistake. Once Langston was gone, Kelly told Ford to forget about Langston and Jessica.
After their cabana sex, Eli blindsided Blair with a marriage proposal. She asked him to just give her some time to think about things, explaining that her marriages to Todd questioned her ability to be in a marriage, then left to go gather her thoughts. Later, Ford opened his cabana door and cried, "You!" We didn't see who was on the other side, but he told the person that Hannah had been arrested. "Looks like our frame job worked," Ford noted, turning to face Eli.
Bull instructed Todd to hit the road and take Route 23A to a big red barn. Dani grabbed the phone away and was relieved to hear Nate's voice. She advised him to sit tight and they'd be there soon. Bull then told Todd to come quick ... and alone. Todd broke it to Dani that she can't come with him. Starr and James arrived at the barn. Starr hid in the bushes while James went in to deal with Bull, and was shocked to see Todd, who was just as surprised to see her there. Meanwhile, Danielle was hiding out in the back of Todd's SUV.
