One Life To Live Recaps
OLTL Week of January 31, 2011
Monday
Starr and Hope visited Marty at St. Ann's. Marty was cuddling a doll she thought was her baby with John. Starr wanted to have Hope with her, but the nun/nurse suggested she visit Marty solo at first. A disoriented Marty told Starr what Natalie "did" to her, and proudly showed off her "baby." When Starr brought in Hope, Marty seemed to act normal, and thanked Starr for helping her. "I think I'm starting to remember," Marty said pensively. "I lost my baby," she said touching her stomach. "I can't quite tell what's real and what's not." Starr explained that that Natalie had had a baby at the Buchanan lodge. After Starr left, Marty looked at her baby doll and realized how crazy she'd been. She began to remember things about Natalie and John's baby and recalled crashing John and Natalie's wedding. "I had to tell someone something," she murmured.
Aubrey interrupted the christening with news about "Joey's dad," but before she could spill the baby beans, Clint jumped in to say it had been wrong for him to "deny my son," and said he regretted disowning Joey. Joey was immediately reinstated, and Aubrey said they would both accept Clint's apology. Clint welcomed Aubrey to the family. Viki apologized to Aubrey on behalf of the family. Joey was thrilled that Aubrey stood up to Clint.
Cutter loitered outside of La Boulaie. Inside, Dorian was in the middle of a conversation with Adriana in Paris, asking for a copy of the yearbook of the school that Aubrey allegedly had gone to. Cutter knocked at the door and informed Dorian that Clint had disinherited Joey. Cutter claimed he wanted to help Dorian's charity, and while she was upstairs Cutter intercepted the yearbook that had just come from the boarding school, and left with it. Later, Dorian called Adriana wondered why the yearbook hadn't arrived.
Jessica wanted Clint to come to the christening after party at Llanfair. At the party, Clint warned Aubrey nobody corners him and gets away with it. Aubrey reminded Clint that she knows all about the other DNA tests he did. "You hurt me and I hurt your daughters," she said with a smile. Joey interrupted their conversation, and Aubrey headed out and met up with Cutter. He showed her the yearbook and a photo of the real Aubrey Wentworth.
When Echo demanded to know if Shane was being bullied, Shane claimed it was just teasing. "It seems mean and nasty," she said, but Shane didn't want to talk about it. Echo wondered if this is why Shane was staying home, and Shane admitted some kids make fun of him. He begged Echo not to call the school. "Mom and Dad will just make it worse," Shane groaned. "The kids will come after me twice as hard." Echo covered for a grateful Shane when Rex and Gigi came home, claiming Shane still had a little fever. She and Shane made a deal to tell Rex and Gigi about the bullying if it didn't stop. Rex told Echo that Clint had disowned Joey, and that Dorian was convinced Clint was his father. Echo tried to convince him not to do a DNA test, and urged him to keep an eye on Shane. "He needs his father right now," she said seriously. Meanwhile, Shane read post on his computer that said they were going to get him tomorrow.
Jessica said she could be ready in two days to get married. John was available to be best men. Jessica suggested that John and Natalie get married, too. Brody thought it was a great idea, but John said he'd rather get married in a church with Jessica and Brody.
Tuesday
Joey and Rex agreed to put the past behind them. Rex commented on what Aubrey had said about Clint at the christening, and remembered Dorian telling him that she thinks Clint is his father. Joey credited Aubrey with getting Clint to rescind his threat to disinherit him.
Bo and John grilled Clint's henchmen about beating up Robert Ford. The men claimed they were at a blood drive when Ford was beaten up, and didn't know anything about Eddie Ford's murder. Exit henchmen, enter Brody; John felt Brody should know about his future father in law, and filled him in on everything Clint had done to break up Bo and Nora. Brody didn't want Jessica to find out. Bo told Rex that he had been drugged and that Clint set the whole thing up. Rex was taken aback.
Egged on by his wife, Vimal demanded two invitations to Clint's daughters' wedding, reminding Clint of everything he had done for him in the DNA lab. "I've earned those invitations," he added. Although Vimal assured Clint he hadn't told anyone about the changes, he remembered blabbing to Rama (who told Aubrey). The henchmen showed up at Clint's office. Clint explained that he had just been blackmailed with tsecret information, and the thugs grabbed Vimal's lapels. Vimal admitted to tellling Rama, but swore, "I never told Aubrey Wentworth anything." After Clint fired him, Vimal tracked down Rama and asked her if she had told Aubrey about the DNA tests. "Clint Buchanan is an evil, evil man," Rama said, shaking her head.
Dorian was determined to find the yearbook Adrianna had sent from Paris, certain it would prove Aubrey wasn't who she says she is. Dorian urged Kelly to stay positive about the Joey situation, certain they would soon unearth something sinister about Aubrey. Kelly suspected Aubrey had something on Clint. "Clint is Rex's father, not Charlie," Dorian insisted, and urged Kelly to tell Joey how she feels. Kelly refused. Rex decided not to do a DNA test. He called Dorian and lied, saying "Clint Buchanan is not my father."
Cutter doctored the year book that he had intercepted at Dorian's. Cutter fretted that Aubrey was "going soft" on Joey, while she ordered him to keep his hands off Kelly. Clint's two henchmen arrived at Aubrey's room dressed as maintenance men, and installed a video camera.
Cutter showed up at Dorian's with the yearbook, claiming to have found it on Dorian's doorstop. Dorian and Kelly flipped the pages and found out that Aubrey "wasn't" an imposter. Kelly said she was done with Joey. Meanwhile, Joey recalled conversations he had had with Kelly and began to put things together. "Is it possible?" he wondered as he ran off. He arrived at Dorian's door only to see Kelly nuzzling Cutter.
Wednesday
New moms Natalie and Jessica were exhausted by their babies. As they worked on the seating plan for their wedding, a cop showed up and told Jessica she was under arrest. Gigi, Vivian and Kelly arrived and Kelly demanded to see a warrant. It became apparent the cop was a stripper when began to dance, much to the delight of the gals.
John and Brody toasted their upcoming marriages at Rodi's. Vimal showed up and downed shots at the bar. Shaun thought Joey was engaged to Kelly, and Joey wondered why. Brody introduced Cutter to Rex, who Rex chatted up Vimal.
As Dorian was telling Viki that Rex had had another DNA test done, Echo barged in. The test results indicated that Charlie was Rex's father, but Dorian wasn't sold, and accused Echo of switching the results. Echo was hurling insults at Dorian when Viki interrupted to say that Dorian was 20 times the woman Echo was. She ordered Echo out of her home, slamming the door shut behind her.
Rama arrived at Aubrey's door, furious because she blamed Vimal's firing on Aubrey. Aubrey grew nervous when Rama reminded her how much she knows about Aubrey. "Are you threatening me?" Aubrey asked, then left for Llanfair, only to learn the party had moved to Rodis. Kelly opened up to Vivian about her heartache, while Todd assured someone on the phone everything was under control and sat next to Vimal at the bar. Todd told Vimal about not knowing he had a daughter until Dani was a teenager; Vimal felt guilty, since he was in a similar situation. Then he opened up to Todd about being fired, and fell into Todd's arm! (Both men had been drinking.) Rama came to pick up Vimal and admitted to her husband that she had told Aubrey about the DNA test switches. But Rama had a plan: crash the wedding, because "it's time for Clint's Buchanan's family to learn the truth about everything."
Vivian and Shawn locked Kelly and Joey in a basement closet at Rodi's. Kelly fell off the ladder and into Joey's arms. When they tried to get out, the realized the door was stuck.
Thursday
Natalie's happy dream turned into a nightmare when Marty showed up in it, while Jessica had a nightmare about waking up next to Ford. The sisters chalked it up to pre-wedding jitters. It was a gush fest when the grooms spoke to their prospective brides on the telephone.
James couldn't get his mind off of Starr, but made plans to go with Michelle to her sorority's Valentine's Day dance. Michelle showed up at James' door to inform him he wasn't eligible for a hearing on his grant problem...then pulled him in to a kiss. "Was that a mistake?" she asked coyly. James said it wasn't, and the kissing continued.
Starr filled in John about Marty's crazy baby talk; he explained that Marty just snapped after helping deliver Natalie's baby. Brody listened intently as Starr said Marty was back to normal, and that it was just a matter of time before she'd remember everything. That had Brody worried. He and John exchanged each other's wedding rings, since they were each other's best men. Brody made an excuse about needing to get the boutonnires, and left. John discovered the boutonnires in the room and called St. Ann's to check on Marty. She wasn't there — she was standing at his door, eager to say something. Meanwhile, Brody told Natalie that Marty was getting better and they wondered how long it would take before Marty busted up Natalie's wedding. Brody wanted to tell John and Jessica the truth ASAP; Natalie was uncertain.
Twelve hours after they got locked in the closet, Kelly and Joey woke up in each other's arms. Kelly told Joey she had something to tell him. "You are the one I want to kiss," she admitted. Joey was speechless. Kelly explained that the whole Kevin stuff was a lie; Joey confessed he had been jealous to find her with Cutter. The two almost kissed but a Rodi's employee barged in. Joey had to call Aubrey. Kelly said she' d see him at the wedding.
Clint talked to his henchman about the camera in Aubrey's room. He was glad to be stopping one wedding and celebrating two others. Clint said there was a bonus in it for Mr. Blue, who showed up at Aubrey's room to "adjust the thermostats." He removed the USB that had the evidence and left. Cutter asked realized there was a camera in that , which meant he and Aubrey were busted. Meanwhile a gleeful Clint watched his computer, pointed at the screen and crowed, "Gotcha!"
Langston wondered if Starr was going to break up with Cole, but Starr insisted she couldn't. Langston reminded Starr that Cole wouldn't have landed in jail if he hadn't put his faith in crazy Hannah. Starr acknowledged that she and Cole had been through some tough times. Langston urged her friend to stop beating herself up because she had feelings for James. When Starr decided to tell Cole that she was going to start seeing James, Langston offered to accompany her to Statesville.
Friday
Blair looked at the old wedding photo of her with Todd. Kelly explained to Blair how she and Joey had been locked up together. “We came really close to a kiss,” Kelly admitted, but said Joey told her it was too late for them to be together. Blair complimented Kelly on her wedding outfit, then was surprised to find Tomas at the front door.
Reminding Aubrey that they had been caught on tape, Cutter suggested they get out of town. Aubrey didn’t want to leave. When Joey wondered what was bothering Aubrey, she insisted nothing was wrong and gave him a kiss. “You are a great guy,” she said with a smile.
Vimal and Rama, in full Indian garb, vowed — at least, Rama vowed — to get back at Clint. A hesitant Vimal was worried, but Rama insisted the family would be grateful to him when the truth would be out.
Bo and Nora didn’t know how they would handle Clint, while Clint wondered the same thing. Bo wanted to make peace but Clint told them to go to hell. He was about to lose the whole family’s respect, Bo warned his brother. Clint goaded Bo until Bo punched him.
When Charlie wondered where Echo and her things were, Viki admitted she threw her out. Charlie looked stunned. Viki explained her issues with Echo and insisted she had had enough. It was his house, too, countered Charlie. Rex and Gigi arrived; Rex lied that he had another DNA test that proved Charlie was his dad. Echo called Rex and told him she was staying at the Minuteman. “That dump,” Charlie said. “I hope you are happy,” he snapped at Viki.
Brody wanted to tell Jessica the truth about his night with Natalie (who didn’t tell him that Marty knows Brody is the father of Liam). Instead, he promised Natalie not to tell Jessica they slept together. “I hope we are not making the worst mistake of our lives,” Brody said worriedly.
John found Marty at his front door. “I had to see you,” she said desperately, explaining that she had to tell him something about Natalie. “She didn’t want you to tell you about the baby,” Marty told a confused John. Marty struggled to remember what she had wanted to tell him. “It’s important,” she said, and it was something about Natalie and Brody. John didn’t know how to help her remember. The people from St. Ann’s came to get her.
