One Life To Live Recaps
OLTL Week of January 25, 2010
Monday
John, in handcuffs, crossed paths with Téa and Todd at the police precinct. John explained that Lowell had him arrested so Mitch could go after Jessica. Téa was shocked to learn that Mitch knew all about Dani. "He tried to bond with me," Todd explained... and, apparently, offered to get rid of Cole for him.
Natalie began to open up to Marty in her therapy session. Marty assured her that it was okay that she turned to John to grieve. "You felt safe with him," Marty said. "This is weird. I'm John's ex. I'm going to therapy with John's girlfriend," Natalie said. "I can handle hearing about John from you," Marty told her new patient. Marty wondered if John had become a phantom spouse for Natalie, and said Natalie had to deal with her own feelings about her loss. "Why do you want to talk about John?" Natalie asked, calling John Marty's rescuer. "My husband just died and you think I want to go out and sTéal your boyfriend," Natalie said as she stood up, then called Marty a manipulative bitch! When Marty suggested that Natalie stay away from John, Natalie read that as “stay away from my man.” Marty gave Natalie the name of another therapist, which Natalie crumpled up in her hand.
When Brody realized that Jessica wasn't at Viki's, he suspected that Mitch had taken her. "We have to find her," Brody panicked. Viki reminded him that Mitch would not hurt Jessica since, "She's his daughter.” When Brody called John, Lowell picked up his phone. Brody demanded to know where Jessica was. Lowell made a snide remark about her standing reservation at St. Ann's.
John asked how Lowell's son Justin was, which Lowell interpreted that as a threat. John called Lowell a stooge for Mitch. "I want McBain in leg irons," Lowell said. Lowell said that John had tried to kill an innocent man on the docks. (That would be Mitch.) Brody dropped by the police precinct and told John that Jessica was missing, and asked Lowell where Mitch was. Lowell told Brody to book McBain. Brody filled out the paperwork. John and Brody whispered about their next plan of attack. Brody vowed to find Jessica. Lowell kicked Brody off the force. Lowell answered John's phone and told Marty, "your boyfriend is indisposed."
Starr tried to explain to Dani that there was more to Todd than just the bad stuff. "I don't want to be in the same room as Todd," Dani said. Starr explained that Blair holds everything together for the family, and showed a photo of Blair. Dani recalled meeing Blair in Seattle. Dani asked Starr if she could stay with her. "Sure, under one condition," Starr said. Dani begged to stay. "You have to call your mother and tell you that you are here," Starr said. Starr had just put the phone in Dani's hand when Todd and Téa showed up at the Starr's door. "Thank god," Téa sighed. Dani said Téa could come in, but not Todd. Matthew and Cole exited. "How could you love a rapist?" Dani asked her mom. Téa asked Dani to give Todd a chance because, "he's your biological father. Can you do that?" Téa reminded her that she had always wanted brothers and sisters. Dani begged to stay at Starr's. "We're fine with it," Cole said. "Thank you," Téa said as she hugged Dani goodbye.
Langston and Ford couldn't stop kissing. Langston caught her breath and felt Ford's heart. "I love Markko," she insisted as they started kissing again. Blair interrupted their kissing. "Langston was
clearly upset that she had kissed another man. When Markko reunited with Langston, she said goodbye to Ford and Blair. Blair stopped Ford and asked him what was up between him and Langston, then kissed Ford! Blair labeled him a sleazy little player and warned Ford that she was watching him.
Langston and Markko came home and Starr introduced them to Danielle, "my sister." Téa returned with some of Dani's things and some more bedding. Starr gave Téa a goodnight hug as Danielle watched. Markko wanted to go to bed with Langston but Langston wanted to hang out with "Starr and her sister." Langston couldn't stop thinking about kissing Ford.
When Natalie came home, Viki told her that they thought Mitch had taken Jessica. She added that John was under arrest. "John will help us," Natalie said, and headed to the police station. Viki didn't offer any details as to where Charlie was. Todd showed up at Viki's with a picture of Dani. "Téa and I have a daughter together and she just found out all about me and I don't know what to do," he said, his eyes welling up with tears.
Natalie charged into the police precinct and fell into John's arms. She whispered she would get him out of there... just as Marty walked into the precinct.
Tuesday
Bo and Nora finally made love. They agreed not to feel guilty anymore and cherish their feelings for each other.
At the hospital, Rachel surprised Greg with a picnic dinner. They began to kiss.
A nervous Schuyler prepped for his date. He posed in front of the mirror and couldn't decide what to wear. Stacy called, just as Schuyler was opening the champagne and welcoming Gigi over. Schuyler hung up on her. Gigi was exhausted from work and touched to find the table set for a romantic dinner. Schuyler took away Gigi's phone. "No distractions," he smiled.
Rex returned home, where Stacy ordered takeout. They discussed
possible baby names over dinner. Stacy was thrilled they'd be raising the baby together. They cleaned up the dinner dishes and when Rex said he was ready for bed, Stacy invited him to share her bed. He hesitated, then was interrupted by a knock at the door.
Kim posed in front of the mirror, too, trying to find a sexy outfit to
surprise Clint. He was surprised, all right, to find her in his bed. Clint wanted to know what Kim was after. She admitted that she wants to sleep with him. When Viki phoned, Kim took away the phone and pulled him into a kiss. Clint was flattered but pointed out that it was too soon after the breakup of his marriage to fool around. Kim advised him to get back on the horse. "Giddy-up," she purred. Clint was still hesitant. Just when Kim was about to give up, Clint pulled her into a kiss, and took her to bed.
Todd tried to calm a nervous Viki. He opened the door at Llanfair to find Téa, and smiled. Todd assured Téa that his kids are all safe from Mitch. Viki called Clint to tell him about Jessica and was frantic when he didn't pick up. Viki did get through to Bo, who agreed to come over.
Nora decided she'd put off seeing Clint long enough, and was stunned to walk in and find Clint and Kim in bed! Kim was furious and Clint asked Nora to leave. Nora broke the news about Jessica. Clint grabbed his coat and they rushed off to Viki's, leaving Kimberly dejected.
Todd asked where Charlie was but Viki dodged his questions. Bree woke up and wanted to know where her mommy was. Viki and Téa assured the girl that her ommy was thinking of her. Téa took Bree upstairs to color a picture for Jess.
Bo showed up to tell Rex that Jessica is missing. Rex immediately called Gigi and asked her to pack Shane's things so Bo could whisk him out of town to the Buchanan ranch. Schuyler wanted to accompany her but Gigi said no. Bo asked Stacy to come but she was too far along in the pregnancy to fly.
Clint and Nora arrived at Llanfair. Clint and Viki embraced. Nora left the room and called Rachel to inform her about their trip to the ranch. Nora asked Rachel to keep and eye on Matthew. Stacy, Shane and Rex arrived with Bo. Viki blamed herself for stepping down as mayor. Rex told Shane the truth about Mitch kidnapping Jessica. An agitated Shane agreed to go to Texas but pointed out that while they can run from Mitch, they can't hide from him. After a sad round of good-byes, Bo and Nora took Shane and Bree to the airport.
Wednesday
Rex returned home, still upset about Jessica's disappearance. He was glad they decided to hire Fish to be Stacy's bodyguard. In the hall, Kyle brought Fish breakfast, and mentioned that he's not done going after Stacy. Fish said that he's never thought about being a dad but Kyle warned that he might want to start. After Rex left, Fish tried to talk to Stacy again about the baby's conception but she insisted that Fish was not the father.
At the hospital, Kim went after Schuyler for the drug they needed to induce Stacy's labor. Schuyler was hesitant but Kim cut him no slack. She also told him, "Don't do it for Stacy. Do it for Gigi." Later, Schuyler made a move tonab the meds but Kyle interrupted him, stating that they had to talk. Kyle intimated that maybe someone else might be the father of Stacy's baby but then Kyle was paged to the O.R. Elsewhere at the hospital, Marty admitted to
a colleague that she was jealous of the way Natalie was forcing herself on John. However, she insisted she could still do her job.
Natalie went to visit John in jail and said she had a plan to get John out: swipe the keys away from a flirtatious guard. John refused to let Nat do that and vowed he wouldn't leave even if she did. Natalie was furious that he wouldn't accept her help. John calmed her and Marty caught their tender exchange. Natalie excused herself and left.
Clint got a call from Bo that the kids were fine at the ranch. Gigi wondered where Charlie was. "I have no idea," Viki admitted. Gigi was shocked. Viki said Charlie hasn't been the same since Jared's death. Afterward, Viki confided in Clint that Charlie was drinking again. Meanwhile, Charlie was at the firing range, practicing to shoot Mitch. Dorian showed up and advised Charlie to keep practicing, pointing out that they both needed to have Mitch dead. Dorian then pulled something out of her purse, "To steady your nerves." It wasn't booze, though. It was a picture of Jared. Charlie vowed he'd succeed with his plan to kill Mitch.
Jessica woke up to find Mitch staring at her. He was not pleased when Jess hit a glass out of his hand. Mitch reassured his daughter that "Father" would take care of everything. When Jessica tried to walk out, Nurse Charles arrived and injected her with a drug. Jessica saw the bassinet and realized Mitch was planning to kidnap Rex's baby, "And you'll play a very important role in his life," Mitch grinned. "You're going to be his mother."
Kim returned home and surprised Stacy with her genuine concern for Clint.... Kyle called Fish and apologized for butting in.... Natalie asked Brody for help in busting John out of jail.
Commissioner Lowell came to Llanfair to assure the family he was doing everything possible to locate Jessica. Brody and Clint accused him of snooping to report back to Mitch. Lowell pointed out Mitch had an alibi at the time of the kidnapping: he was being assaulted by John and Brody. Dorian called Lowell, who broke the news that Jessica was missing. Charlie called Mitch, "A dead man." Dorian celebrated the end of Mitch and Charlie returned home to Llanfair.
Gigi showed up at the hospital and scared Schuyler as he was about to make a grab for the ob/gyn drugs. Gigi admitted to Schuyler that she's not as resentful of the baby as she used to be. Schuyler was pleasantly surprised. After Gigi left, Schuyler forged a requisition form and got the drug Stacy needed, as ordered.
Thursday
Todd awoke from a bad dream and was comforted by Téa. He said that he had a nightmare in which he'd lost her. She assured him that she's fine and that Mitch isn't coming for them. Todd was also afraid that Danielle is never going to want anything to do with him.
Kim helped Stacy hide out from Mitch. Schuyler arrived to see Stacy and was greeted by an armed Fish. Fish said that he knows that Schuyler is her baby's real father. Stacy wanted Kim to have the baby if she died, but Kim didn't like the idea. Stacy asked what would happen if Rex, Fish and Schuyler all fought over the kid and pleaded with Kim to reconsider. Kim reluctantly gave in and said that she'd be the baby's guardian, if necessary.... Gigi asked Rachel if she knew what was bothering Schuyler, but Rachel didn't want to violate his trust. However, she asked Gigi if she and Rex would still be together if he hadn't gotten Stacy pregnant. Gigi replied that she honestly doesn't know what would've happened. Rachel then asked if Gigi would get back together with Rex if the child turned out not to be his. Gigi said that she's not planning to leave Schuyler.
Fish finally let Schuyler in to see Stacy. He showed her the vial of oxytocin, but refused to just hand over the drug which would induce early labor. He wondered what would happen if, after all of these lies about Stacy's baby, Rex and Gigi would still reunite. He also had doubts that Stacy would be a good mother, but she said that she already loves the child. He reminded her that he's the baby's father and if she wants the child delivered the next day, he's getting listed as the guardian. He also insisted on giving her a full physical first. She agreed. After he left, Kim said that she really would've agreed to be the guardian. Stacy was grateful for her friend's support.
Mitch told Jessica that he's giving her a gift: Stacy's baby, which he believed is his heir. Jessica was stunned and refused. Mitch called Stacy a soulless creature. Jessica again said that she didn't want another person's baby, but Mitch warned her not to fight him. He believed that having another baby would help her "heal" and that taking Starr's baby had been the right idea — even if it had been the wrong child. "I don't want to raise another woman's child," Jessica stated. "You will do it," Mitch told her. "You deserve a baby. This baby will need you so much." Jessica wanted to go home so she could be with Bree, but Mitch wouldn't let her go. He told her that she no longer needs her family and had his goons strap her to a bed. They drugged her and Jessica fell unconscious. Mitch vowed to make her forget everyone she loves.
Viki was distraught over Jessica's disappearance. Charlie tried to comfort her and said that he's sorry for what happened. He wanted to help her. Viki replied that she's coping and thanked him for checking on her. Charlie refused to be dismissed so easily and insisted that he's sober. Viki said that she doesn't have time to deal with him and yelled at him for lying about everything. "I never lied about loving you," he told her. She asked where he'd been the night before. He flashed back to Dorian urging him to kill Mitch. He lied that he'd been at a hotel and even showed Viki the receipt. Viki recalled how she'd wanted Charlie to come home with her from the bar and he was too busy with his drink. Charlie insisted that it hadn't been his drink and again asked to help her find Jessica. Viki said that he's still grieving for Jared. Charlie acknowledged this, but said that it doesn't mean he can't be there for her. Viki went to embrace him, but pulled away, explaining that she needs to know the details of where Charlie was. "Where did you go?" she asked. "The man who sent me away yesterday was not the man that I know." Later, Clint called. While Viki was talking to him, Charlie took the gun out of his pocket.
Rex complained to Dorian that "her boy" Lowell was preventing him from getting a weapon. She asked who Rex was planning to shoot. Rex informed her of Jessica's kidnapping and how Mitch is trying to get his and Stacy's baby. He believed that Jessica's kidnapping had something to do with this. Rex asked if she or Lowell knows where Mitch is, but she said they didn't. Dorian then offered to get a guard for him if he needs help. Rex turned her down and sarcastically thanked her for throwing his family "into the pit." Later, Dorian called Charlie and demanded that he come see her because she knew how they could get Jessica back. Viki broke down and Charlie promised that she'd get her daughter back. He explained that he needed to leave, but said that he wouldn't be drinking. Viki told him to just go. "Someday this will all be clear. You will understand," he stated. "And you will get Jessica back."
Schuyler went to the bar and was greeted by Gigi. She told him that she knows for sure that she and Rex are over and that she loves Schuyler. "I love you, too," he happily replied.... Rex went to check on Stacy.... Stacy asked Kim to make sure that the baby knows that she loves her, should Stacy happen to die.
Charlie met up with Dorian and she told him that she knows how to find Mitch — by handing over what he wants more than anything.
Friday
Todd visited Starr; Danielle opened the door and slammed it in his face. Starr ran out after him and she asked why he was there. He said he was worried because Mitch was on the loose and Jessica was still missing. Starr warned him that he couldn't force things with Dani. She promised that someday Dani would see him like she did and know he wasn't that bad. He took off. Starr went back inside and helped Danielle clear the linens off of the couch. Dani asked what Todd wanted. Starr explained that he was concerned about them. She also told Dani that finding out she had a sister was the best birthday present ever. Cole came in with baby Hope and handed her to Dani, who was excited to be an aunt. When Starr called Hope a "Daddy's girl," Dani looked upset. Cole took the baby to get her ready for her playdate before he left for school. Dani admitted that she missed her dad, the dad she knew. Starr comforted her. Cole asked Starr if she was ready to go, but Starr wanted to stay behind and hang out with her sister.
Elijah sent Blair a sexy text message, which made her smile. Téa entered, looking for Todd. Blair said he was probably at work, then asked if Téa was okay. Téa said she was tired. Todd returned home. The women were surprised to hear he had visited Starr and Dani. He lamented that Dani wanted nothing to do with him. Blair warned Todd not to push things and offered to speak to Dani herself but Téa didn't like the idea. Blair promised she wasn't trying to steal Dani away. Téa said she understood, but explained that she would be the one to talk to her daughter. She headed to Starr's place. Dani told her mom what happened with Todd earlier. Téa wondered why Starr wasn't at school. Starr replied that she was going to hang out with Dani. Téa asked Dani if she wanted to go to school at Llanview High. Dani liked the idea and ran into the other room to pick out an outfit. Alone, Téa asked Starr how Dani was doing. Not well, Starr confessed.
Elijah read Blair's return text and smiled. Marty approached and asked about John's case. McBalin arrived in handcuffs. Stan told him he was going down. A disguised Brody bumped into Stan, then got rid of the guard standing outside the courtroom. Inside, the lawyers did battle. Eli pointed out that Mitch was not there and that John had the right to face his accuser. The judge refused to drop the charges and said John would be held without bail. Eli fought for John but the judge wouldn't budge. John was remanded to Statesville to await trial. Eli assured him it wasn't over. Brody burst in with a gun. Stan yelled for someone to shoot him. Brody demanded to know where Jessica was. Marty tried to calm Brody down. Stan insisted he had no idea where Mitch was. Brody fired the weapon; Stan ducked behind John, who took a bullet in the abdomen.
Rex asked Stacy how her pregnancy was coming, since she was due soon. She was visibly uncomfortable and told him that first babies often came late. The baby was kicking, so Stacy put Rex's hand on her tummy. She thanked him for being there for her during her pregnancy and wondered what would happen after she had the baby. Rex said she and the baby would stay with him. "You are the mother of my child. I am not going to let you live on the street," he told her. She asked if there could someday be more between them. She told him she loved him, vowed that she could make him happy and kissed him. He got freaked out and excused himself to call Bo. Stacy called Kim and said she had to have the baby now. She poured water on the floor and pretended that her water broke. She called out for Rex.
At target practice, Dorian secretly met with Charlie and said they had to resort to drastic measures where Mitch was concerned. Charlie wasn't sure they could actually hurt him. Dorian explained that they needed to use Rex's baby to get back at Mitch. He pulled out his gun to practice firing and asked Dorian about her plan. She gave him the details and said it would end with them killing Mitch. Charlie wasn't on board. "Jessica needs us. Are you going to let her down?" Dorian asked. Charlie asked what Mitch had on her. "My girls," Dorian replied, reiterating that Mitch had to be stopped. "I'm in," Charlie told her.
Mitch prepared to turn Jessica into a "loving, devoted mother" so she could care for Rex's child. He wanted to use electroconvulsive therapy and talked to Nurse Charles about it. She warned him that the procedure caused memory loss. He said that was exactly what he wanted. Nurse Charles was still concerned. Jessica came to and was alarmed that she was strapped down and couldn't move. Mitch assured her she'd be fine. She was panicked and begged him not to do whatever he had planned. A crazy Mitch declared himself "The Messenger" and told Nurse Charles it was time to begin.
