One Life To Live Recaps

OLTL Week of January 24, 2011

Monday

At breakfast, Todd encouraged Star to go to Statesville to break things off with Cole for her own happiness, adding that he knows she's got feelings for James because he can see it. Later, Starr admitted to James that she hates seeing him with Michelle and she's jealous. James let her know that he wants to be with her — just as Cole phoned from prison to talk to Starr about Marty being sent to St. Ann's. Starr told Cole everything would be okay and that she loves him.

Shaun met with Theo to discuss the Darren and Destiny rift. Theo pleaded with Shaun to get Des to talk to his heartbroken little bro. Meanwhile, Destiny went to see why Matthew wasn't working at BE today. He explained that he resigned. Matthew tried to explain that he saw his dad kissing another woman and wondered why everyone is trying to blame his uncle Clint for everything.

Clint was surprised to see Inez show up at his office, assuming she'd been locked up for killing Eddie. "You both know that's not true," she said. Meanwhile, at the police station, Bo and Nora listened in to Inez, who was outfitted with a wire, try to get Clint to implicate himself for the crime. Téa barged in and demanded to know where her client is, fearful that Nora had her arrested. Nora explained Inez was cut loose and that the charges against Nate were dropped. Nate and Dani were elated. Back at BE, Clint continued his threats against Inez. She, however, pushed his buttons by saying that the forensic tests that came back proved Clint did the deed. Clint launched into a big speech, saying he's tired of having blood on his hands and thinks he might tell Bo everything. Inez stood closer, tugged at her blouse and Clint yelled into the wire — realizing he was being duped. "Nice try, little brother!" he sneered. Then he promptly called Bo to rub it in his face that he won't ever find any evidence to link him to Eddie's murder. Bo was frustrated. "Clint's a total stranger to me," he sighed. Clint continued to threaten Inez if she tried anything else, saying he'll come after her sons.

In Paris, Layla confirmed to Cristian that she slept with her boss. Cris was upset and reminded her that they're engaged. She admitted that she wanted him to get mad at her and call everything off and that she doesn't know what she wants anymore. Cris assumed that means Layla no longer loves him. She told him she doesn't want to leave Paris and can't think of anything but her career right now and isn't ready to get married. They shared a tearful farewell.

Blair visited the man who supposedly painted her. He immediately recognized her and quickly shoved her inside his flat. He was paranoid that his landlord was going to shake him down for rent. It was obvious that the painter was smitten with Blair. He confirmed that he did paint the portrait of her and that his name is Tomas. They discussed how Blair got her hands on the painting; Tomas flirted and tried to charm her with music and wine. She wasn't buying it and wanted to know more about the painting. Tomas explained that he used a photograph of Blair for the painting and pulled out Blair and Todd's 1994 wedding photo.

After hanging up with Cole, Starr told James she can't just leave Cole hanging and that she will always love him. He understood. They were happy to see a free Nate and Dani show up. As the family gathered to celebrate, Téa encouraged Shaun to stick around. Destiny got a text from Dani and headed over to join them for the party. She ran into Theo, who tried to talk to her about Darren. She turned around and went back to Matthew's, where they kissed!

Nora was angry and confronted Clint about all his misdeeds. She reminded him that as soon as the rest of his family and his children find out he will lose them. Clint was affected by Nora's words but played it cool. Before she stormed out, Nora spat that she and Bo need to protect the family from Clint now. Meantime, Bo advised Inez to steer clear of Clint and him. She tried to apologize for what happened; he was just happy to get Nora back. Later, Bo was looking over the evidence file again; Nora suggested that perhaps Clint gave Eddie the gun, which was also used to kill him, as part of his plot to kidnap Nora.

Tuesday

Dorian told Viki that she attempted to beat Echo at her own game by showing up incognito at the AA meeting but it blew up in her face: Echo turned around and took a photo of Dorian at the gathering and posted it on FaceSpace, suggesting that the mayor of Llanview has a problem of her own she's trying to hide.

Kelly was upset and surmised that Aubrey and her so-called brother are
really after Joey's money. Meantime, Aubrey and Cutter hit the sheets yet
again. Aubrey proposed that their plan to swindle Joey would be even better
if she actually went through with the wedding. Cutter was wary; he feared
Aubrey was really falling for Joey. She was offended and told him to keep
focused on their big plan and his role in it: breaking into bank accounts
while she breaks hearts. Meanwhile, Joey had lunch with Viki, who tried to
give him some sound advice. Dorian advised Kelly against telling Joey
that Aubrey is a gold digger; she offered up a different plan: Go out with Cutter, and if he's really Aubrey's lover, it might
provoke Aubrey into action.

Todd showed Téa a photo from their wedding. She wanted to make a full
keepsake album and was curious why he had kept old photos of him with Blair.
He brushed it off. Later, Téa was overcome with emotion as she thought about
how much Todd has changed through the years and was happy that this Todd is
the man she loves.

In Paris, Tomas presented Blair with her own 1994 wedding photo. He said he
found it at a flea market and wanted to recapture her joy and beauty. Blair
was callous toward Tomas's view of romance and told him that sometimes
happiness just isn't meant to last. She briefly rehashed her romance with
Todd and said she thought her 1994 wedding to him was the real deal. "I
almost forgot what he looked like," she quipped as she gazed at the image
(of her with Roger Howarth's Todd!) and wondered aloud if she'll ever be
that happy again. She said perhaps she's on a mission to rediscover her joy
in life, hence the trip to Paris. Tomas encouraged her to follow her
instincts and open herself up to new adventures. She kept the photo and gave
the painting back to Tomas.

Rex and Gigi got a letter from Shane's school saying that he's been cutting
class. Shane was upset and begged them not to make it a big deal; Echo
supported her grandson and, much to Gigi's chagrin, called it a phase.
Shane went online to fetch some assignments he missed and saw a troubling
message from a classmate who was bullying him. On her way out, Echo shared a
nice moment with Rex, who apologized for Gigi snapping at her. Later, Shane
copped more attitude with his mom.

Kelly showed up on Cutter's doorstep to ask him out (even though he was
ready to hit the sheets with her right away). Cutter questioned her feelings
for Joey; Kelly shut him up with a kiss. Aubrey went to meet Joey and Viki
for dinner. Joey asked his mom to be a stringer photographer for The Banner;
Viki inquired about Aubrey's career. She fumbled for an answer. Later,
Aubrey fished around to see if Joey could score Cutter a job at BE.

A sleuthing Dorian called Adriana in Paris to ask her to stop by Kelly's old
boarding school to pick up a yearbook. Adriana reluctantly agreed. After,
Dorian presented Echo with what she posted online. Echo threatened to take
more action with the photo if Dorian doesn't back off. Viki suggested Dorian
also give it a rest but she refused.

Wednesday

Bo confronted Clint and reminded his brother that he won't stop investigating until he makes Clint pay for what he's done. Clint scoffed and demanded some evidence. Bo presented him with a warrant; Clint wasn't rattled and was convinced that Bo wouldn't find anything. Meanwhile, Joey and Aubrey announced to Cutter that they're trying to land him at job at BE. Joey left. Cutter was excited, saying that he can't wait to clean out the company. He undressed and was about to hit the sheets with Aubrey when Kelly came knocking on the door. Kelly inquired about the origins of Cutter's name. He dropped his towel and, in the buff, explained that it's a type of ship that the Coast Guard uses — and the name of a stallion. He later admitted that he's been kicked out of three schools on three different continents. Kelly was impressed — and turned on.

Joey headed to BE and saw Clint and Bo having it out and asked what's going
on. They didn't tell him. Later, Clint told his son that he wants to help
with the wedding plans and handed Joey a prenuptial agreement. Joey was
upset that Clint doesn't trust Aubrey and refused to insult her by asking
her to sign it. Clint advised him to do it, lest he face consequences. Clint
threatened to disinherit Joey if Aubrey didn't sign the papers.

At Llanview U, Ford and Langston discussed Valentine's Day plans. James
stormed in and was outraged, revealing that his grant was revoked. An hour later, Ford was
fired from his campus job. Langston wondered who's got it out for them. Ford
went to ask Clint why he's making their lives a living hell, adding that
Jessica's baby isn't even his and he kept mum about getting beat up by
Clint's henchmen. Ford demanded that Clint fix things and threatened to tell
everything he knows. "You've taken everything so there's nothing left to
hurt me!" Ford spat and stormed out. Clint called the Dean at the Llanview
U.

Vimal was having lunch with his wife, Rama, when she spied Aubrey, who is
one of her old pals. They shared a giddy reunion and Rama introduced Aubrey
to her husband, who was uneasy and quickly excused himself when Aubrey
brought up all the "confidential material" he must see on a daily basis.
Rama marveled at Aubrey's huge engagement ring and they agreed to catch up.
Aubrey wondered why Vimal got so upset. Later, Rama confided to Aubrey that
Clint asked Vimal to do a very bad thing. Aubrey pressed Rama to tell her
what it was.

At the Buchanan manse, Viki cradled her grandson and teased Jessica and
Brody for not naming their son yet. She told them to settle on one before
the christening. Jessica received a trust for the baby from Clint,
as did Natalie for her son. They were stunned. John was especially affected
by it. Bo stopped by and said he's not surprised about Clint setting up the
trust for the kid. John left with Bo to talk shop. Bo asked for help in
bringing down Clint. John suggested they find the $50,000 that Clint gave
Eddie, which will also lead them to Eddie's killer. They worried about Nat
and Jess finding out that Clint's a murder suspect.

Jessica introduced Bree to her little brother. Bree pointed out that the
baby looks nothing like Brody. Meanwhile, Roxy pressed Nat to name her son
and revealed that Nat was named after a dog. The sisters both wanted to name
their sons after Asa.

Upset, Joey told Aubrey about the prenup and couldn't figure out why his dad
is so distrusting of them. Aubrey was miffed when she realized what Joey's
disinheritance entailed. She phoned Cutter, who was in the middle of wooing
Kelly, that she was doing damage control.

Ford went to Bo to say that Clint has done some serious damage, just when
the Dean approached to say that Ford forgot his money (the $50,000)....
Aubrey went to confront Clint... Joey was stunned to see Kelly getting cozy
with Cutter.

Thursday

On campus, Starr literally bumped into James. He informed her that his grant had been revoked. Starr said they'd just have to fight it. James added,
"Bobby got fired. Again." Starr wondered if it was a conspiracy.Suddenly,
Michelle interrupted and gave James a big hug. "I got your text. How could
they do that to you?" Michelle exclaimed. Michelle insisted on taking
action, much to Starr's chagrin.

Bo confronted Ford on the satchel of cash found in his office. Ford insisted
it was planted there and he was being framed. Bo told Ford he believed him,
but wondered where the cash came from. Ford admitted that Clint had him beaten
up and paid him off during the time when he might had fathered Jessica's baby.
Bo said if Clint planted the cash, it would be hard to prove since his
brother always covers his tracks, then offered to try and help Ford get
his job back.

Joey found Kelly with Cutter in his hotel room and demanded to know what was
going on. Joey insisted that he wasn't jealous but asked for a moment alone
with Kelly. Cutter reluctantly left and Joey told Kelly she should be with
someone else. Before he left, Joey
informed Cutter that he wasn't going to have Aubrey sign a pre-nup — and was
disinherited. Cutter told Kelly he'd lost his appetite.

Aubrey informed Clint that despite his meddling, she and Joey were going to
get married. Then she mentioned Clint's son — Rex! Clint
accused Aubrey of bluffing, but she threatened to expose his tampering
with the DNA test. Before leaving, Aubrey also mentioned that it would be a
shame to spoil the christening with the truth. "What do you mean?" Clint
asked. "That Rex's paternity test isn't the only one you messed with,"
Aubrey smiled. "So fix this, or I'll fix you."

Rex met with Dorian, who wanted to hire him. She considered having him
investigate Echo, then asked him to take on Clint. Meanwhile, Rex considered
spilling what he knew about David, but went back to talking about Clint.
Dorian said she believed Clint did something dreadful to someone. When Rex
asked for a name, Dorian blurted it was Rex himself, eventually spilling that Clint, not Charlie, was
Rex's father. Rex refused to believe it and stormed out.

At Llanfair, Charlie encouraged Echo to stay sober. Viki walked in on them
sharing a hug. "I didn't see you standing there," Charlie exclaimed. Echo
offered to photograph the christening but Viki turned her down. Echo
left and Charlie accused Viki of being jealous. Rex arrived and asked to see
Charlie, then secretly lifted a DNA sample from him.... Joey met
with Aubrey and informed her that Cutter and Kelly were dating. Cutter
called Aubrey. "Joey's disinherited?" he asked. "You're dating Kelly?" she
countered.

Friday

Aubrey checked up on Clint to see if he was rethinking his decision to disinherit Joey. Clint claimed he didn't scare easily but was obviously unnerved. Aubrey ran into Joey at the Palace and assured him Clint would come around. In the hotel room, she explained all the DNA switches to Cutter, and wasn't pleased he was dating Kelly. After she left, Cutter arranged for a dinner date with Kelly and did an Internet search on Dorian.

Upset that he was being bullied online, Shane faked a fever to stay home. Rex and Gigi got ready for the christening, as Rex wondered whether he wanted to find out that Clint was his father.

Viki, Jessica, Brody and Clint prepared for the christening. Jessica and discovered they'd both decided to name their sons Asa, ultimately deciding on it as a middle name. Despite John's reservations about Clint's trust fund for their child, he and Natalie beamed with happiness.

Charlie informed Viki he was too sick to go to the christening, so eavesdropping Echo volunteered to nurse him. Rex called Charlie and asked him to stay with Shane. They realized they were both sick. Echo showed up with chicken soup she had ordered from the Buenos Dias. Shane saw another mean post on his My Face page. Echo urged Charlie to go to bed; she would stay with Shane. When she went to check her page she saw the mean remarks on Shane's page and was horrified.

When got back to LaBoulaie, Todd gave her back their old wedding album. Blair brought up the painting. Blair showed him an old photo of their wedding and wondered how Tomas would have found it at the flea market. Blair and Todd smiled as they looked through the album, then realized that the photo Tomas had had come from that very album. Todd thought Eli stole the photo, but Blair reminded him that the painting had been done in 2003, way before she met Eli. She said that the day she had married Todd was "the happiest I'd ever been." Todd admitted he, too, had been very happy when the photo was taken as well.

In Paris, Tomas' art agent showed up and suggested both Blair and Tomas were "looking for something." Tomas claimed he enjoyed his life alone, and asked his agent never to give anyone his address again. He gave Tomas Blair's address, but Tomas threw it away. Then he stared at the painting and then took the address out of the trash.

Alone at the church, asked God for forgiveness and a blessing. Clint told Aubrey to go to hell; she threatened to blab Clint's secret. Clint looked concerned as the christening began. The babies received the sacrament of new birth, as Natalie and Brody looked guilty. Viki gushed over her baptized grandbabies. Aubrey announced there was something she needed to tell everyone....
NOTE: It was cut out that Natalie named her son Liam Asa McBain. Jessica presented Ryder Asa Lovett.
