Starr told Miss Dickinson that the drugs belonged to her. Starr reassured her that she had a "prescription." Starr explained that the pills were antidepressants and that she forgot to give the nurse the prescription. When Miss Dickinson told Starr to give the nurse the prescription and walked off, Starr showed Cole an actual prescription that Dr. Joplin had given her. Starr then told Cole that she didn't
need pills to ease her pain, unlike him. Cole confided that when Marty came to him on the night of Hope's birth, he thought it was a miracle but he was wrong. Starr implored Cole to think his decisions through, just like she had done when she decided to give up the baby for adoption. She told him that she would accept his decision and walked off. Cole took another pill.

Brody was shocked when Wes told him that the Iraqi boy didn't have a gun. Wes apologized to an inconsolable Brody. Wes explained that the little boy was pointing something at him and Brody shot him. When he realized he had shot a little boy, Wes couldn't calm him down. When Wes went to find the gun that the little boy had, he realized that it wasn't a gun — it was a flashlight. To protect Brody, Wes planted a gun in the boy's hand. Wes apologized to Brody and told him that at the time, he thought it was the right thing to do. Wes told Brody that he was still a good man and a good soldier. Brody thanked his buddy for telling him the truth as Wes left. When Brody was alone, he had a vision of the little boy again. Brody got down on his knees and cradled the "boy."

After kissing John, Marty told him she was trying one of her
personalities out. Marty continued to play games with John and kissed him as Blair walked in. Marty explained that she had kissed John to see if any memories would come up and then went after Blair, inferring that she wasn't over Todd. Blair tried to contain her anger when Marty demanded to know why they had saved Todd on New Years Eve. Blair warned Marty to stay out of her business. Blair accused Marty of not being able to move on from the past. When Marty accused Blair of not wanting Todd to be with anyone else, Blair asked John to throw her out. She was shocked when he refused. An angry Blair stormed off. Marty gloated to John, who walked away from her. She met up with Wes.

Natalie and Jared arrived at the hospital with Chloe and ran into Marcie and Michael. Natalie told them that Chloe was just having a checkup. Natalie let Marcie hold the baby. Marcie noted that Hope would be the same age as Chloe. Viki called Natalie and asked her to come to the vineyard. Marcie and Michael babysat Chloe. The two discussed their
marriage and how they wished things could have turned out better.

Bess explained to Tess that she had saved them after Tess didn't care for the baby. Bess explained to Tess that the baby didn't go to the prenatal appointments and ignored the contractions. Tess was horrified when she realized she could have saved the baby. Tess was horrified to when Bess told her she switched Jessica's baby with Starr's. Tess asked Bess if Jessica knew the truth. Bess revealed that she didn't tell Jessica the truth about the baby. She DID, however, tell Jessica another truth. Bess then explained to Tess that to protect Jessica they needed to integrate. Bess told Tess that her work was done and that it was time for Jessica to have some peace. The two held hands and disappeared into Jessica's head. "The secret's safe now. We can all rest," Bess said to herself.

Jessica didn't want to say what Bess had told her. Viki was confused when Jessica said she needed to talk to Natalie. When Natalie arrived, Jessica said, "I wanted you and Jared to die." Jessica revealed to the two of them that she had willingly let Tess come out so that she could kill them. Viki, Clint, Jared and Natalie tried to reason with Jessica but she wouldn't listen. Viki wasn't satisfied and told Clint that they still didn't know the truth about what happened the night of the birth. Clint wondered if they ever would.

All soaps are preempted today, January 20, for coverage of the Presidential Inauguration. Recaps will resume tomorrow.

Wednesday

Todd came by Blair's to see the kids. Blair wondered why Todd wanted to see them now. Todd told Blair that he had run into Starr at Hope's grave. Blair wondered if Téa had suggested Todd pop in. Todd tried to convince Blair that his visit was only about seeing his children. Blair said no. Todd pulled his ex-wife into a hug. Blair gave in and went to get Jack and Sam. Téa called Todd and suggested he pray that Schuyler didn't know anything Todd's blackmailing of Dr. Joplin. Todd hung up when he got to see his sons.

Nora and Bo waited for the assistant principal. Matthew called Bo and begged to be able to go out. Bo reminded his son that he was grounded. Matthew wanted to go to Rex's club. "There's no way I could get in trouble there," Matthew said, trying to get Bo to change his mind. Bo refused. "There are consequences to buying pot. End of conversation Matthew," Bo said and hung up. Matthew looked upset. Nora wondered if this tough approach was the best way. Cole came down the stairs and asked Matthew who had sold him the pot.
The vice principal arrived to meet Bo and Nora. "What can I do for you?" she asked. Bo showed her the joint. "Someone is dealing drugs here at your school. I want to know what you are going to do about it," Bo asked. The principal hoped that Matthew had learned a few lessons and assured Bo that they would work to find out who was selling drugs. Téa ran into Bo and Nora in the hall. "Here to question Dr. Joplin's son?" Téa asked. "You have nothing to prove these allegations against Todd," Téa told the DA. Nora reminded her that she was still on the lookout for Janet/Lee.

Renee and Janet had some tea in the main house. Janet was afraid what would happen if Todd found her. "How much did you know about Todd's plans to kidnap his daughter's baby?" Renee asked. "I don't want you to get involved," Janet said, and added that she thought Todd would kill her. Renee begged Janet to tell the police what she knows. A few moments later, Nora arrived to see Renee and Janet hid. After changing her mind about coming clean, Janet told a surprised Nora in the living room, "I can tell you everything Todd was going to do with Starr's baby."

Téa asked Schuyler for a moment of his time. Schuyler knew all about her and that she was defending Todd. Téa asked if his mother had ever said anything about Starr's baby. Antonio walked in and told Schuyler not to say another word. Antonio said he was sent by the DA's office. Téa exited. Antonio assured Schuyler that he was not there to arrest him. Antonio hinted to Schuyler that Todd may have bribed his mother to do something for him. Schuyler didn't think that was possible. Antonio wondered if there was something in his mother's life that "Manning could hold over you." Schuyler pondered that. Antonio explained that Todd has resources. "There is nothing," Schuyler said. Antonio asked for access to his mother's personal files. Schuyler refused. "Are you afraid that we'll find something," Antonio asked. Schuyler took a letter he had received from his mother out of his desk drawer. Téa tried to get back into Schuyler's office but the vice principal told her she had to go home. Téa got a frantic call from Lola. "I need to talk to you about the night my mother was killed," she said.

At the club, Starr admitted to Langston that "everything sucks." Starr told Langston what she had heard Todd confessing at Hope's grave. Langston wondered if Starr could forgive Todd. Starr told Langston that Cole was high at school. Cole showed up, with Matthew in tow, and Starr wondered if he was still high.

Gigi met Rex at his club. He told her that he had brought in her favorite band — Plain White Ts. She couldn't believe it. Bo arrived at the club to look for Matthew, who disregarded his grounding. Rex hadn't seen him. "Give Matthew some room to screw up," Rex suggested. Bo found Matthew and brought him home. "I'll hate you till the day I die," Matthew said as he stormed upstairs.

Markko came by Cristian and Vanessa's to pick up Lola. Vanessa wondered where Langston was. Vanessa wondered what was bothering Lola. Cris went to take a shower. Vanessa opened Lola's bag and found the letter from Ray. She immediately read it aloud. Vanessa called Lola about the note but just got her voice mail. Vanessa suggested she and Cris go hear Plain White Ts.

Thursday

Rex prepared a romantic evening for Gigi since Shane was at a sleepover with his soccer team. Gigi was impressed as Rex gave her a foot massage (he learned how to give a mean massage from Roxy) and told her that he cooked a meal. "Dessert?" Gigi asked. Rex smiled. "And then some." After enjoying some steak and wine, the two began to kiss. Gigi couldn't help but notice Rex's silly robe. She suggested he take it off and the two made love.
Téa walked in on Todd lying in Marty's old bed holding a picture. Téa was shocked when she saw that the picture he was holding wasn't of Marty — it was of Blair. Todd explained that he wasn't looking at Blair in the picture, he was looking at the kids. Téa was horrified to learn that Todd visited the boys. Téa assumed the worst — she was sure that Blair was setting a trap. Todd told Téa that he saw Starr, and Téa continued to worry. When Todd laughed her concerns away, Téa started to cry. Téa went to leave and Todd asked her to stay; he didn't want to be alone. The two shared a light moment as they decided whether or not to play poker. They decided to play a board game and quietly enjoyed their time together.
John arrived at La Boulaie to make amends with Blair. She wasn't thrilled. After discussing things, the two decided they were even (Blair let Todd in the house, John didn't kick Marty out of Rodi's). Blair couldn't understand why John put up with Marty's games; John wondered the same thing about Blair and Todd. "Why are you really here?" Blair asked. "Call me crazy," John began, "But you're the one I want to kiss." Blair admitted she was jealous of Marty and John kissed her. The two passionately ran upstairs, where they gave into their passion.

Marty and Wes hung out in his room. Marty sensed that Wes had something on his mind. Once the sexy soldier had his shirt off, Wes explained that he told Brody the truth about the Iraqi boy. Wes felt guilty for keeping the truth from him. Marty told Wes that he was a good person. "Your first instinct was to save a man's soul and if that's not heroic, I don't know what is," she said. Later, when Wes fell asleep, Marty covered him up.

Jessica told Brody about her stressful day. Brody had trouble believing that Jessica would willingly unleash Tess on anyone. Brody told Jessica about his "breakthrough." Later, Jessica looked through the pictures of the kids and was sad when she saw a picture of Chloe and Natalie. Elsewhere, Brody looked at a picture of him and Wes and sadly went to bed.

At Llanfair, Charlie was happy to see Viki, Jared and Natalie. When Charlie asked how everything went, Natalie facetiously announced that Jessica had a breakthrough — and remembered that she wanted to kill her and Jared! Viki tried to defend Jessica, but Natalie reamed into her mother. "You are always defending her and I'm sick of it!" Viki tried to explain to everyone that Jessica was very sick, but Natalie said that Jessica was using Tess to do her dirty work. Natalie blew up at her mother, revealing her anger and resentment over Viki and Clint's unwavering support for Jessica and their unfair blame on Natalie. Viki tried to explain that when Jessica had a relapse, all the attention had to go to Jessica. Natalie said it wasn't about attention; Jessica/Tess humiliated, terrified and manipulated her, almost to the point of no return. Viki offered to her daughter that Tess told them earlier that she was planning on letting Jared and Natalie go. Natalie couldn't believe that it was still all about forgiveness, and started to cry — living with a mother and a sister who were sick was very hard for her and she was overwhelmed. "Life's not fair," Viki said. She understood how Natalie felt, and assured her that she loved her. She told Natalie that she was blown away by her ability to forgive. Charlie and Jared came in with some firewood. Jared was frustrated and angry, but not because of what Jessica had done to him; because of what Jessica had done with Natalie. Charlie wanted everyone to sit by the fire but Natalie wanted to go to bed. When they were alone, Viki told Charlie she was worried that even though Jessica might be able to integrate, she may have lost her sister.
Upstairs, Natalie lay awake while Jared slept peacefully, while downstairs Charlie and Viki enjoyed some roasted marshmallows.

Friday

Starr and Langston entered the living room in La Boulaie to find it turned into a Buddhist temple. "Namaste Cramer women," Dorian said. "Are we Buddhists now?" Langston asked. This happened "when David Vickers came back into my life," Dorian explained. Dorian's house soon filled up with homeless people. She tried to explain she saw the light in David's eyes. Addie, Starr and Langston thought Dorian's behavior was quite strange. Dorian led her guests through a series of chants. David interrupted and accused her of committing a Buddhist crime. He was very upset to see the spread she had prepared for him. "This is me serving others," Dorian tried to explain. David urged Dorian to free herself from "these material things." Dorian refused to give her stuff to the homeless people, but quickly she announced she'd give all her "worldly gifts to Maurice Stubbs."

At the diner, David sensed Noelle's worry. He reminded her to focus on the present. "Live it, breathe it and love it," he said. Delphina confronted David. David called her a "traveling comedian" and left the diner. Delphina told Noelle that she sees great danger but assured her it wasn't for her.
She went on to tell Noelle about the fortune she and Moe would have and then lose.

Janet/Lee gave a statement to Bo, Nora, Antonio and Talia in the police office. "Can you give us Todd Manning," Nora asked. Janet said she would, only when promised full immunity. Antonio and Talia left. Nora explained that she needed to be certain that Janet had enough to put Todd away. Janet explained that she had the false credentials Todd had given her to get into the delivery room to steal Starr's baby. "Now can we make a deal," she asked. "Book her," Nora said to Antonio and Talia. Janet grew upset. "There is no proof that Todd made these credentials. It's your word against Todd," Nora said. "You are going to throw me to the wolves," Janet said.

Todd woke up next to Téa. "What are you doing in bed with me?" he said. "We slept together last night," she claimed and then she laughed. "We fell asleep watching TV," she explained. Téa went off to take care of some Ray business. Todd was surprised to find Janet in his room. They started a conversation and viewers saw that Janet was wearing a wire. Janet admitted she had some legal problems. Todd told her he didn't want anything to do with her. Janet tried to get Todd to admit to crimes. "Why so chummy all of
a sudden?" he asked, clearly suspicious of why she was there and asking all these questions. Todd admitted to nothing. Todd grabbed her and saw she was wearing a wire.

Lola was upset that Vanessa had found the note from Ray. Vanessa asked why Lola had kept it a secret from her. "Don't you trust me?" Vanessa asked. Vanessa tried to explain that she had tried to help Lola set up a new life. "One or both of us could end up dead," Vanessa said. Lola promised to tell
Vanessa if she heard from Ray again. Cristian came home and Vanessa immediately hid the note. Vanessa eventually told him about the letter — after trying to burn it — and then they agreed to always tell the truth to each other.

Lola met with Téa and told her about the letter. Téa assured her that there was no way Lola would go back to Colombia.

Cole lied to Matthew and said the pills were aspirin. Matthew explained he had been grounded for a month because he snuck out of the house. Matthew said his friend Becca was hot. Becca came up behind him. Matthew and Becca flirted and he assured her that his dad was "all talk." After Cole was gone, Matthew stole pills from Cole's locker and went off. A stoned Cole and Starr got into another argument about whether or not he was stoned.

Bo and Nora talked about Matthew and she explained the stresses of being a kid these days. "He hates me now," Bo said sadly. "What happened?" Bo wondered. Bo vowed he wouldn't let things get worse with Matthew.
