One Life To Live Recaps

OLTL Week of January 18, 2010

Monday

Bo and Nora ran into Viki at the café. She explained that Mitch had upset Charlie and Charlie ran off. "He's started drinking again," Viki admitted, adding that Charlie had slipped just after Jared's funeral. At a loss as to what to do, Viki said she regretted resigning as Mayor. Nora wondered how Jessica and Natalie had coped with seeing Mitch. Rex arrived and brought Bo up to speed on Stacy's attempted kidnapping, and the fact that Gigi had left him and he was now living with Stacy. Bo was sorry to hear about Rex's breakup and suggested Rex take out a restraining order against Mitch.

Nora wondered if Viki was angry at her for leaving Clint, saying she wished she had stopped the wedding and told Viki about Kim. "I have shoes older than her," Nora quipped. Clint is a big boy and he made his own choice, just like Nora had, pointed out Viki, who decided to wait at the café in the hope that Charlie would show up.

Charlie ordered a drink at the bar. Dorian was also at the bar, asking Mel for someone to help her kill Mitch. Spotting Charlie, Dorian suggested he kill Mitch. Charlie immediately figured out that Mitch had threatened the Cramer girls, and went back to the café and hugged Viki. "I just needed to pull it together. I figured out how to make peace with what happened," he explained.

Stacy worried that Kyle knows the baby isn't Rex's. Rex assured Stacy that either he or Oliver would be by her side. Rex went out to pick up some dinner. Oliver showed up to protect Stacy and the baby as if "it was his baby," he announced. Kim charged in and wanted some girl time with Stacy. When Stacy revealed that Kyle now knows the secret, Kim suggested that Stacy have the baby around Valentine's day, which would have been when Rex's baby was due. She looked on the Internet and found a drug that causes uterine contractions. Kim reminded her friend that they knew someone at the hospital who would get the drugs for them.

Schuyler gave Gigi a hug and felt bad when that he couldn't tell her the truth about Stacy's baby. Roxy came in and started throwing food at them. Kyle broke things up and offered to buy Roxy a drink but added he wished Roxy had thrown everything at Schuyler. Gigi wondered why Kyle was so angry at Schuyler. Kyle begged Schuyler to tell the truth about the baby. Gigi sensed that something was up and suggested that Schuyler try to let it go.

Kim thanked Clint for letting her live with him. Jessica and Natalie were shocked to find Kim there. Clint was thrilled to see his daughters and invited them to stay for dinner. Kim got a call from Stacy and hurried off. Clint wondered where Mitch was living. The girls said they were worried about him. "I'm planning on having fun again," he smiled. They were stunned to learn that Kim was living there. "She's a gold digger who is looking for a sugar daddy," Clint said, making it clear he's on to her. Natalie wondered why he didn't seek companionship with someone his own age. "I tried that," he shrugged. Kim returned as the girls were leaving. Clint and Kim shared a toast.

Tuesday

Markko, Cole and Langston made breakfast for Starr, the birthday girl. Blair and Todd dropped by to wish their daughter a happy birthday. She gave her parents a tour of the apartment. Todd wondered what would happen when Markko and Langston got sick of the smell of baby diapers. After Todd left, Starr and Cole went out for their baby-free day. When Blair asked how Langston was doing. Langston admitted she thought about Ford while she was having sex with Markko. Eli texted Blair and wanted to make sure their next time would be in public.

Eli and Blair were kissing at Todd's house when Todd interrupted them. Blair lied and said that Eli had just dropped off some papers. Todd asked where the papers were. He left them on his desk, fibbed Eli. Todd told Blair he had heard her with Eli the night before. Later, Todd told Téa he loved her and they kissed.

Rex paid Oliver in cash to watch Stacy, who took a call outside of Oliver's apartment. Kyle wondered if Rex could afford the arrangment. "I'm not letting Mitch Laurence get his hands on my baby," Rex said. Rex and Stacy left, and Oliver admitted to Kyle he had slept with Stacy. Kyle realized that Stacy could be having Oliver's baby, and told Oliver about the secret involving Stacy; that the baby is Schuyler's, not Rex's. Oliver was stunned to learn of Stacy's plan. "She came to me first," Kyle admitted to a shocked Oliver. "So you are saying the baby could be mine," Oliver said.

Rex met Eli at the coffee shop. He said that he had decided not to pursue full custody of Shane, but did want to make sure that the baby didn't fall into the wrong hands. When Stacy joined them, Eli asked them if they both had wills. Rex wondered who Stacy would like to name as guardian of their baby. Stacy vetoed Rex's suggestions.

Schuyler left his new apartment, the one he shares with Rachel. Kim called asking for a favor, insisting they meet in person. Schuyler showed up at the mansion, where Kim closed the door behind Nigel and asked Schuyler to sTéal drugs from the hospital for Stacy's baby. Schuyler figured out that they wanted the drugs to induce Stacy's labor, and suggested Stacy just leave town for a few weeks. "I am not getting drugs," he insisted. "The health of this baby trumps Stacy's love life," he added. Kim wouldn't take no for an answer and hinted that when Gigi finds out, Schuyler's relationship with Gigi might be over. "I'm not helping Stacy," he continued. "All you have to do is get the baby out," Kim implored, arguing that they were doing this with or without Schuyler's help. When Rex and Gigi showed up at the mansion, Kim rushed Schuyler out another door. Rex wanted Kim to keep an eye on
Stacy.

Téa and Dani showed up at Rachel's. "Thank god you are here," she said as she hugged them. Téa reported that Tahiti was great and that it felt right to come back to Llanview. "Tahiti was complicated," Téa shared. "She knows that Todd is her biological father," she added. Téa hoped that Dani would get to know Todd, insisting that Todd had changed. After Téa headed out, Rachel asked Dani how she feels about the fact that Todd is her father. Dani wanted to know what Rachel thought of Todd, but Rachel tried to change the subject. Dani wouldn't let her. "Is he some kind of monster?" she asked. Rachel refused to give an opinion. Dani started doing some online research on Todd Manning.

Matthew asked Destiny if she was avoiding him. Destiny said no, and asked Matthew if he misses Dani. Matthew told Destiny that he and Dani kissed. Destiny tried not to look upset. Matthew didn't want to lose Destiny as a friend. "I missed you," he admitted.

Wednesday

Starr and Cole wanted to give everything they could to Hope and talked about Starr turning 18. Mitch interrupted them and started muttering about protecting children from evil and called them two lost souls with "a baby born out of wedlock." When Mitch reminded Cole of Todd's rape of Cole's mother, Cole shoved Mitch so hard he fell to the floor. Mitch said he tripped and left after he made it clear that they would always be welcome in his church and wished Starr a happy birthday.

Oliver was stunned at the thought that Stacy could be carrying his child. Kyle asked him for the details about Oliver's night with Stacy. "She was really desperate," Kyle remembered. Kyle thought there was a reason that Stacy was telling Schuyler it was his baby.

Kim asked Stacy if she wanted anything to eat. Convinced she was going to die, Stacy asked Kim to be her baby's guardian if anything were to happen to her. Kim was less than enthusiastic. "You are the only person I trust," Stacy pressed. Kim said no. Oliver and Kyle walked into the living room and demanded answers about the paternity of her baby. Oops. Stacy lied and said that she had not had sex with Oliver; Kim demanded that they leave. When Kyle threatened to tell Rex and Schuyler everything, the conversation got nasty. Clint could have Kyle's medical future ruined, threatened Kim. "You are hurting innocent people," Kyle said as he reminded them that Mitch wouldn't want Stacy if he knew she wasn't carrying his grandchild. Oliver prevailed; they would wait until there was a paternity test.

Markko wasn't thrilled when Ford joined Cristian at the diner. Markko and Ford bantered and he ended up inviting Ford to the Langston/Starr birthday party. Cris wondered what was going on between Ford and Markko. Ford thought it might have something to do with Langston, but Langston claimed that the
Whole thing was innocent and Langston "was not for me."

Langston told Blair about thinking of Ford while sleeping with Markko. Blair assured her that people do that all the time, then asked Langston if she was interested in Ford, adding that as long as she knows who she loves, she'll be fine. Blair also suggested Langston stay away from Ford and not tell Markko anything. Markko came in; Blair covered and left. Langston was upset when Markko told her he had invited Ford to the party. Langston reminded Markko that she loves him so much and they hugged.

When Téa told Todd that Ross Is alive, Todd was surprised and almost called the police. "Ross is not going to come after us again," Téa promised, adding that Todd has to love Dani enough to let Ross go and not hurt him. Téa said Todd wasn't the only one with some explaining to do. "We can get through this together," Téa vowed.

Dani Googled Todd Manning on her laptop. She was horrified to read about the rape, the possible murders he had committed and everything else. She slammed her laptop shut. Matthew knocked on the door and was surprised when Dani opened it. Matthew grabbed her in a big hug. "Why are you at my sister's apartment?" he asked. Dani showed Matthew all the dirt on Todd Manning, explaining that Todd's her father. Matthew planned on telling Dani the story about his paternity some other time. Dani wondered who was sicker — Todd for everything he had done, or Téa for loving him. Dani freaked as she read all the bad things about Todd. "Why has no one gone after him?" she wondered. "My parents have tried to put him away," Matthew explained. Dani didn't want Todd to know her. Matthew begged her to tell him how he could help her. Téa came home and Dani was nowhere to be found.

Thursday

Todd entered Marty's office and asked for help in talking to Dani. "You would like her to meet the woman you raped?" Marty asked. "Yes, so you can tell her you forgave me," Todd replied. Marty suggested he try someone else. "I haven't forgiven you. I won't," she told a stunned Todd. "I owe you nothing," she screamed. Téa called Todd with news that Dani had disappeared, and made it clear that Dani knows about Todd’s dark past. "I've lost her," Todd sighed.

Outside of Marty’s office, Natalie stood up and fell into John’s arms. Natalie made it clear she wasn't alright, and confessed that all she has is anger toward Mitch. John admitted to wanting to destroy Mitch; to that end, he was looking to find out about the private nurse Mitch had hired. Natalie offered her services, but wondered if it bothered John that she might be seeing Marty professionally.

Cole and Starr pushed a big box into their apartment: a Lil' Kidz playhouse. Starr had spent her birthday check on the gift for Hope. As they struggled to put the playhouse together, they talked about how damaged Todd was. Starr pointed out there was also a good side to him.
Starr answered the door and found Matthew and Dani standing there. Matthew introduced them, explaining that that they were sisters.

Viki wanted Charlie to watch the sunset with her but he was focused on some blueprints. Dorian summoned Charlie to the sleazy bar to ask he was going to kill Mitch. Viki didn’t buy Charlie’s story that he was leaving to meet a client. Charlie pointed out to Dorian that if he killed Mitch it would ruin the rest of his life. Dorian handed him a gun. "Do it for Viki," she begged, explaining that the gun couldn't be traced. Dorian downed her drink and asked for another, then went to freshen up as Charlie eyed the empty glass. Viki showed up in the bar and saw Charlie sitting there. Dorian's drink arrived and Charlie became uncomfortable. He remembered Mitch telling him that he was a drunk. Charlie turned and saw Viki, who apologized for following him. Viki couldn't believe he was meeting a client there. "You don't trust me," he barked. "You can't even look at me," she said, pleading for him to talk to her. Viki noted Dorian's drink. "What is going on?" she asked. Charlie begged Viki to go home, lying that he was back on the sauce as Dorian eavesdropped. Viki pleaded with him to come home. Charlie said he couldn’t, and tried to convince her that he'd
know how to fix it and begged her to forget him. "Stay away from me," he screamed. Viki wanted to help but Charlie didn't want her assistance. "You are breaking my heart," she said as she left the bar. Dorian resurfaced and felt bad for Charlie. "I will kill Mitch Laurence," he said.

As Brody headed out to work, he found was a letter under the door from Mitch. He and Jessica read the letter, which made it clear Mitch didn't like Brody as a companion for Jess. Mitch begged to speak to her and wanted her to embrace him as her true father. He asked her to him on the docks. If she showed up, then he'd leave the rest of the family alone. Brody didn't think that was a good idea, reminding Jessica of all the things Mitch had done to her. "I have to do something," Jessica insisted, and reread the letter. Brody warned Jessica about contacting Mitch. Jessica was furious with Mitch for bashing Brody. She kissed Brody as he checked the security guy in the back. Later, she the precinct and was surprised that Brody wasn't there. She worried to John that Brody had gone after Mitch. John said he'd check out the docks. Nurse Charles poisoned the security guard outside Jessica's door and smiled.

As Mitch sat on the docks reading, Brody grabbed him from behind.

As Matthew and Dani hid out, Dani read aloud from all the trash she found out about Todd. Matthew tried unsuccessfully to get her to accept the fact that Todd is her father. Matthew's phone rang and Rachel asked if Dani was with him. Matthew lied that he hadn't seen Dani. "Your mom is really worried," he reported, but a shattered Dani didn't think she could talk to anybody.

Friday

Todd and Téa went to the PD because they were afraid Danielle had run away, but Lowell was more interested in what was happening on the docks and fled with his officers. Téa and Todd bonded as they waited on a station bench and reaffirmed their love for one another. Meanwhile, Danielle was at Starr and Cole's revealing to a shocked Starr that they are sisters. Starr was upset when Danielle referred to their father as a monster, but Cole encouraged her to hear the girl out. Starr was just blown away by the fact that she has a sister she never knew about, and confused as to why Todd had kept this from her. Cole reminded Starr that Dani is confused, as well, but when the girl started talking about Marty's rape, Cole had to stop her. Matt explained that Cole is Marty's soon. Oops! Danielle asked how Cole manages to be in Starr's life knowing that about her father. It was hard, he admitted, but they've pulled through. Starr and Cole explained that Todd is his own worst enemy and sometimes you just have to put up with it. Starr insisted to Dani that Todd loves his children.

Upon arriving at Capricorn, Langston was clearly uncomfortable to see Ford at her birthday party. While Markko was out of earshot, Langston asked if Ford really cast someone who looks just like her as his love interest in a film. Ford copped to it, and admitted he was just "living out a fantasy." Langston, who had literally just turned 18 that day, was a little weirded out. Markko returned and was concerned about where Starr and Cole were. Ford thanked Cris for inviting him and remarked that there were some hot women there. Langston, meanwhile, was slowdancing with Markko when she suddenly flashed back to Ford washing his abs. On her way out to get some air, she ran right into Ford, who sensed that she was attracted to him and pulled her in for a smooch!

Brody tossed Mitch onto the ground after confronting him with the letter Jessica received. Meanwhile, Nurse Charles watched Jessica from the terrace as she made frantic phone calls searching for Brody. Jessica admitted to Viki that Mitch wanted to meet with her and was afraid Brody went to see Mitch instead. At the docks, Brody tried to make it clear to Mitch that Jessica wants nothing to do with him, but Mitch gloated that a daughter is always a daughter. Brody grabbed Mitch when he declared that women are his for the taking, and even punched Mitch in the side. Mitch taunted Brody, telling the cop to go ahead and kill him as Brody reached for a pipe. John emerged from the shadows and called out to Brody to stop. Brody took a moment to compose himself as John listened to Mitch's babbling. Lowell and his men arrived just as they were roughing up Mitch. Brody wanted to get away to make sure Jessica was safe, but Lowell's men detained him. John stood up for Brody and claimed he's the one who manhandled Mitch, but Mitch stuck to his story that Brody threatened his life. John kept talking to distract the cops while Brody made a run for it, and ended up getting arrested instead.

Dorian apologized for the misunderstanding with Viki, but Charlie said Viki had already given up on him. Dorian said that can't be true. Meanwhile, Viki reported to Jessica that she saw Charlie drinking at the roadside bar. She was afraid she couldn't do much but call Charlie's sponsor. As soon as Viki was out of the room, Nurse Charles emerged from behind a door and lunged at Jessica with a syringe. At the bar, Dorian asked Charlie if he's the kind of man who can look Mitch in the eye and pull the trigger. "With pleasure," Charlie replied. As he escorted Dorian out of the bar, she promised to lure Mitch to an out-of-the-way place so Charlie could do the deed, then apologized for how their secret scheme is affecting his marriage. When Brody got back to Llanfair, he was already too late. Nurse Charles had made off with an unconscious Jessica, while the guard Brody hired was lying outside on the ground.
