OLTL Week of December 27, 2010
Monday
Jessica, Brody and Natalie went to Lamaze class. Nat was upset that John was
late. The class began; John finally arrived. Vivian had to tell him to get off
the phone with the office. Viv was concerned for Nat, who seemed stressed
out. Nat claimed it was all under control. "Everyone's going to end up
happy," Nat told herself. The couples broke up into groups and began
exercises. John was distracted but finally loosened up and got involved.
Later, Brody was excited to be a new dad and eagerly helped Jess through her
exercises. John tried to do the same for Nat, who had a birth fantasy where
she envisioned Brody with her in the delivery room, not John. After the
class, Jess and Nat commiserated over planning their weddings. John
suggested he and Nat get hitched right now.
At the gym, Kelly wanted to know why Rex wasn't busy digging up some dirt on
Aubrey. He was reluctant to take the case and asked why Kelly is so
interested in Aubrey's past, advising her not to meddle. Meanwhile, Aubrey
and Joey hit the sheets again. They made a gym date for later. Aubrey was
surprised when Viki showed up to say she's throwing a dinner party for
them. Joey suggested they invite Kelly, much to Aubrey's chagrin. Joey
thanked his mom for making an effort with Aubrey. Viki in turn, suggested he
reconsider inviting Kelly because she's still got feelings for him. Joey
assured her that he and Kelly are way over and he's entirely devoted to
Aubrey now. In the other room, Aubrey took a call from the mystery
person. She covered to Joey, who went to the gym without her.
In the park, Clint encountered Destiny, who asked him if he had any pull in
exonerating Nate. She insisted that he didn't kill Eddie. She also said
she's really concerned about Matthew and thinks he needs Clint's help.
Later, Inez arrived; Des made it clear that she's still pulling for Nate's
freedom. Darren also showed up and had a surprise for Destiny: her father.
Darren hoped they could make amends and Des could return home. Des wasn't
pleased and slapped Darren, who broke up with her and left. Meanwhile, Inez
railed at Clint for his actions. He was downright giddy to tell Nora that
Inez and Bo slept together. Inez threatened to tell Bo the truth but Clint
held the cards with regard to Nate's situation and she felt helpless.
Bo and Matthew brought Nora home from the hospital. Nora was eager to get
to work on Eddie's case, saying she thinks the person driving the other car
was fiddling with a cell phone and went into the other lane, which caused
Rex to swerve off the road. Matthew flashed back to angrily calling Dani
from the car the night of the accident and panicked. He inquired about how
easy it'd be to ID a car and said Nora's memory could still be fuzzy. He was
on edge and changed the subject by asking Bo what he was doing while Nora
was being tied up by Eddie. Nora left the room. Matthew confronted Bo about
seeing him with Inez. After, Nora interrupted and wanted to know what was
going on. Bo flashed back to Clint advising him not to tell Nora about Inez.
Then Matthew spat that Bo slept with someone else and ran off.
Joey saw Kelly at the gym. Aubrey left to meet her mystery man; Rex broke
into her room and started snooping around.... Matthew and Destiny consoled
each other. A confused Nora wondered why Matthew would lash out. Bo finally
came clean and said it's true that he slept with Inez.
Tuesday
Nora was devastated by Bo's admission that he slept with Inez. He tried to
explain himself, recounting their fight and then the text messages which he
didn't know were from Eddie. Nora was hurt and outraged that Bo was so quick
to hop into bed with another woman, surmising that he was paying her back
for what had happened with Sam Rappaport. Nora was certain that Inez used
the texts to lure Bo in, but he was dubious that Inez was involved at all.
Bo apologized for betraying their marriage and asked for forgiveness. Nora
was upset that Bo only came clean because he got caught. She broke down and
couldn't forgive him.
At the gym, Joey and Kelly flirted as they worked out together. Cristian
showed them a copy of a French tabloid featuring scandalous photos of Layla.
He was upset that Layla's fashion shoot involved getting frisky with another
guy, who is supposed to be her boss. Kelly tried to get Cris to calm down
and made a veiled comment to Joey about fiance's keeping secrets; Joey was
sure it was all a big misunderstanding. Cris called Layla and demanded to
know what's going on. Meanwhile, Aubrey also had a copy of the same French
magazine and was determined not to let Joey find it. While Aubrey was
preoccupied, Rex broke into her apartment and rifled through her things,
certain that she was hiding something. He found some sexy photos, then
hacked into her laptop. He hid under the bed when Aubrey returned and
overheard her talking about the magazine in question.
Clint reiterated to Viki about his disapproval of Joey's pending nuptials to
Aubrey and tried to persuade her to help him break off their engagement,
claiming he doesn't want their son to get hurt. Viki wasn't supportive and
advised Clint to let it go. Later, Viki griped about Echo driving her crazy
and brought up Nora's kidnapping. Clint said he already knew about it and
they talked about how absurd the text messages from Eddie were. Viki
couldn't believe someone would take such outrageous actions to break up Bo
and Nora. Clint felt bad that Viki was struggling with the Echo and Charlie
situation.
Natalie was floored by John's suggestion that they get married tonight but
she wasn't into the idea of a shotgun wedding. John urged her to see how
nice and easy and simple it could be, saying that he's more than ready to
marry her before the new year. Nat was overwhelmed by his romantic gesture
and they quickly made plans to get to the courthouse before midnight. Marty
lurked in the shadows and overheard everything. Jessica was thrilled for her
sis. Nat asked her to be the maid of honor; John asked Brody to be his best
man and they all rushed off to make the last-minute arrangements. After,
John ran into Marty, who said she has something to tell him. She hesitated,
though, and discussed Cole instead. John told her about his plans to marry.
She congratulated him, much to Nat's surprise. Jess was also stunned that
Marty was being so gracious and told her that the ceremony is tonight. Jess
could sense that Marty was affected by the news and offered her support as a
friend.
Rex split from Audrey's room and reported to Kelly that Aubrey was on the
phone with a mystery man. Meanwhile, Bo informed Clint that Nora found out
about the Inez situation. Clint insisted that his brother stay with him and
not at a hotel. Nora tossed her wedding photo in the trash.
Natalie went home to inform Viki and Clint about her last-minute wedding and
that the family won't be involved. They were floored; Nat assured them
that's what she wants and asked for their blessing. They reluctantly gave it.
Nat told them it's not a big deal and they'll still have Jess's big wedding
to plan. Viki gave Nat her grandmother's earrings to wear at the wedding and
asked Nat if something else is going on. Nat said everything is fine now and
she's excited to be Mrs. McBain. Later, Brody and John returned with a
marriage license and a judge to perform the ceremony. Meantime, Marty
revealed her plan to tell Jessica the truth.
Wednesday
On New Year's Eve, Langston tried to cheer up Starr, who was hesitant to call James because she wasn't sure she could just be friends with him. She thought of Cole and was afraid of falling in love again. Starr was also worried about Dani and Nate.
James and Ford arrived at a party. Meanwhile, Dani paid Nate a visit in the slammer to spend the holiday with him, but he didn't want her to stay. Dani was convinced of Nate's innocence because he couldn't tell her that he killed Eddie. Later, Starr and Langston arrived to celebrate with them. Starr was sympathetic toward their situation and offered her support. James and Ford also arrived to check in on their bro, who encouraged them to take Dani to the party in Angel Square. Dani was upset that Nate was trying to push her away. Starr tried to explain that Nate only wants her to be happy in the same way that Cole wants Starr to be happy and to try to live her life without him.
Brody and John showed up at the courthouse for John's last-minute wedding to Natalie, who was still at home excitedly getting ready with Jessica. Marty lurked outside. John was on edge before the ceremony, worried that something bad will happen. He opened up to Brody and finally admitted that he's excited to be a dad and married. Nat was also nervous; Jessica told her it will be okay. Rex and Gigi, who were off to Capricorn, entered and were stunned to hear the nuptial news. Rex brought up Marty; Nat could only hope that she could trust Marty not tell John the truth and ruin her happiness. Rex assured her that John will love the baby, no matter what and urged her to be happy. After, Jess gave Nat one of her necklaces from Asa, which is borrowed, new and blue. They shared a sweet sisterly moment.
At Capricorn, Blair told Kelly to stop moping about Joey. Meantime, Aubrey made another call to her mystery guy about Joey not seeing the French magazine. Joey entered just in time to overhear and asked what she's hiding; she covered. When Joey said they are going to be late for the New Year's party at Capricorn with Kelly, Aubrey was none too pleased. As they arrived, Aubrey was mortified to see Kelly with a copy of Maintenant, so she feigned nearly passing out and wanted to leave. She grabbed the copy of the magazine from Kelly before Joey escorted her home. Cristian griped to Blair about what had happened with Layla. They flirted, but Blair advised him not to go kissing on another girl until he figures things out with Layla first. Rex spied Marty sidling up to the bar at Capricorn.
At the courthouse, Jess was insistent that Nat follow the old superstition about not greeting the groom before the ceremony; Nat didn't believe it'd curse her marriage. Judge Runyon arrived, surprised to see that Nat is very pregnant. He told her that the superstition doesn't apply in this case, so Nat entered the hearing room. John was pleased to see her.
Back at Capricorn, Aubrey left Joey alone at the party with his ex. He admitted to Kelly that Aubrey is jealous. They shared a charged moment over a glass of champagne. As Blair performed for the crowd to ring in the new year, a montage showed James, Ford, Dani and Starr celebrating at Angel Square, while Nate sat alone and depressed in his cell. Aubrey got home and flipped open the magazine revealing her with another man. Kelly realized that Aubrey was after the magazine all along and told Rex. Aubrey was floored when the guy in the photos showed up at her doorstep. They quickly hit the sheets.
As the clock was about to strike midnight, Langston and Ford prepared for a passionate smooch, Dani returned to the police station to be with Nate. Blair and Cris kissed. Joey and Kelly hugged. Starr and James also shared a kiss. Marty chugged a glass of champagne and rushed out of Capricorn just as John and Nat's ceremony began. They recited heartfelt vows and exchanged rings. Just as they were about to be pronounced husband and wife, Marty burst in and stopped the wedding.
