Starr ran after Cole, who decided to buy a gun. Starr tried to talk some sense into him but Cole didn't want to hear it. Cole frightened Starr when he warned her that he was capable of killing Todd. Starr warned Cole that he wouldn't last if he got arrested and put in Statesville, then told him that if he goes to jail, she'd be completely alone.
Viki met with Clint to tell him about Jessica's setback. The two wondered why Tess would deny Chloe as her daughter. Clint mentioned that he'd never forget walking into the dank cottage and finding Jessica and the baby. Clint gave Chloe a special ornament. They hung it next to Jessica's special ornament.
Bess told Tess (who was in a straight jacket) she would never get out. Tess warned Bess that she wouldn't let Jessica back out until she figured out what happened to the baby. Bess scolded Tess for breaking Brody's trust. Bess warned Tess that she didn't want to know the truth. Tess drifted off to sleep, and Jessica woke up startled and horrified, not knowing what happened.
Brody told Dr. Levin that he confided in Jessica and she broke his trust. The doctor explained that Jessica was very sick and that it wasn't her fault. Dr. Levin then asked Brody about the little boy. Brody admitted that he often sees the boy he shot, and Dr. Levin suggested that by becoming a father to Shane he was trying to make up for shooting the boy in Iraq. When Brody said he would never get over what happened in Iraq, Dr. Levin asked him if Tess had put that notion in his head. Brody refused to make excuses
for what happened. Dr. Levin asked if he was holding something back.
Rex broke the news to Gigi that he couldn't get the Zbox. He almost told one from another diner customer, but didn't. Rex said that even though there was a time where he would have stolen the Zbox without blinking an eye, he couldn't do it. Then he showed Gigi the other gifts he got Shane, but felt bad that he couldn't come through. Gigi told him not to worry about it.
Nora's objections fell on deaf ears when Téa called John to the stand. Téa grilled John about his relentless pursuit of Todd and about his relationship with Marty. Téa threw John's hatred of Todd in his face and then went over the events leading up to his rescue of Marty. Marty stood up and yelled that John saved her. When the judge threatened Marty she all but dared him to jail her. Blair calmed her down. Téa managed to twist things to make John
look like the bad guy. She declared that Todd was the victim. When Téa was finished attacking John, he told the judge that he would do it all over again if he had to. Todd threatened to make a scene if Marty had to take the stand again. Marty explained that Todd fed her lies about John, but then Téa spun things to look like Marty wanted to stay with him. Téa tried to convince the judge that while what Todd did wasn't the most ethical thing to do, it wasn't illegal. Nora tried to intervene but the judge had heard enough and called a recess so that he could make his decision. During the
recess, Cole and Starr arrived. Marty apologized to an understanding Cole. The judge returned and announced that he had made his decision. The judge announced to the horrified courtroom that he was dropping all charges — just as Starr stood up and declared that Todd was planning to sTéal her baby. When Téa argued that there was no evidence, Starr fought back and said that
there was indeed evidence — Todd confessed to her!
Tuesday
Téa scrambled to save herself when Starr declared that Todd tried to sTéal her baby. When Téa tried to make it seem like Starr was lying, Starr told the judge she could prove that she was telling the truth. Marty helped her, saying she'd gladly take the stand again. The judge decided to hear what Starr had to say, over the objections of Téa and Blair. Blair chastised Starr for keeping this from her. Starr agreed not to keep secrets anymore and then reiterated that she needed to take the stand. Cole told Starr that she didn't have to do this for him. He apologized for threatening to shoot Todd. Starr explained to Cole that she had to stop Todd from simply doing whatever he wanted. Blair told John she'd lose it if Téa attacked Starr on the stand. Starr took the stand. Nora asked Starr to explain what happened. Téa tried to object to everything Starr said but the judge told her to take a seat. When Starr mentioned that Todd "was" her father, Todd stood up and demanded that she say that he "is" her father. “You're not anymore, TODD,” she said. Téa had nothing to say when Starr said that Todd admitted everything. After Nora and Téa argued, the judge decided that Todd would be held on attempted kidnapping charges and there would be a trial. True to form, the two ladies battled it out over the issue of bail. The judge set the bail at $250,000. Marty apologized to Cole for snapping at him earlier. Téa took Todd home.
Jared arrived at the Buchanan mansion to talk to Clint. After a light conversation, Jared told Clint he needed something and wouldn't leave without it. Jared surprised Clint by asking for Natalie's hand in marriage. Clint gladly gave Jared his blessing but then asked how Jared was going to support Natalie. He surprised Jared by offering Jared a job at BE.
Jared was grateful and told Clint that he had to run it by Natalie first. As Jared headed for the door, he and Clint discussed the engagement ring. Matthew overheard the part about the ring, and asked Clint if he was marrying Nora. Clint explained that it was Jared marrying Natalie, and Matthew surprised him by asking if he and Nora would ever marry. Nora arrived home and asked Marty if she'd like to spend Hanukkah with the family, but Marty wanted to go to sleep.
Natalie showed Viki Jared's Christmas gift — a picture of the Buchanan ranch at sunset. Viki got emotional when Natalie told her how in love with Jared she was. Jared arrived and Téased Natalie about his gift for her. When they were alone, Jared asked Viki if she could keep a secret. Viki was ecstatic when Jared spilled that he was going to ask Natalie to marry him.
At Todd's house, Téa tried to reach out to Todd but he all but ignored her. A frustrated Téa told Todd that he wasn't like people said he is — he was worse.
Carlotta was livid when she learned Cristian married Vanessa. When Antonio calmed her down, she asked him to get a bottle of champagne for the newlyweds. Talia got off the phone with Sarah. Nobody was thrilled when Cristian and Vanessa arrived. As the group downed champagne, Carlotta
didn't take the olive branch Vanessa tried to extend. Antonio privately warned Cristian that he could get himself into deep trouble. Outside, a man looked in. Antonio and Talia accosted the man and found out that he was a photographer that Cristian hired. Vanessa and Cristian started to learn more
about each other so Immigration couldn't get them. Téa arrived at the diner and congratulated the "happy" couple and told the group that she had just gotten Todd on bail. Antonio asked Téa to show him the death threat sent to Vanessa and Lola.
As Matthew, Nora and Clint lit the menorah, the citizens of Llanview got ready for the next day. Starr and Cole said goodnight, John took Cole home, Marty looked at tons of articles on Todd, Natalie put the picture under the tree and Todd sat in Marty's old room. Téa left the diner and called her mystery client. She assured RAY MONTEZ that she would be able to prove Vanessa set him up!

Todd lay in Marty's room. "Merry Christmas, Todd," Marty said as
she woke him up. As she leaned in to kiss him, Todd woke up. It was all a dream. Téa was there to wish him a Merry Christmas. Todd was none to happy to see Téa, who brought him a Christmas present. Téa told Todd he
needed to get over Marty. After exchanging insults with Téa, Todd asked her if there was a chance Marty would forgive him. Téa told him that Marty didn't look too forgiving, but she did understand how it felt to want someone who didn't you back. "What are you going to do to get her back?" Téa asked. "Anything," muttered Todd. Todd opened his
present — it was a seashell from the deserted island that he left Téa on. Téa explained that the shell was a reminder of who he used to be — someone who believed in himself and was willing to do anything. She told Todd to make that journey again, to which he replied that if it Marty wasn't the outcome it didn't matter. Téa encouraged Todd to take the day off from his crazy life. "I don't know what to do," Todd began to cry. Téa revealed that she bought his kids some great presents and signed his name. Todd thanked her.
Nora wished Cole a Merry Christmas. Nora told Matthew and the Buchanan men that there would be no football until later. Marty arrived and Bo introduced himself. Matthew told Marty that everyone was glad that she was back. Bo and Matthew left to deliver presents to various people. Cole was happy when Marty surprised him and Nora with presents. Marty apologized to Cole for not being able to be there for him. Cole opened his gift — a first edition book of Lewis Carroll poems and stories,
including the Jabberwocky. Cole gave Marty a picture of the two of them in L.A. on St. Patrick's Day. Marty wished she could remember those days but told her son that she would put the picture right next to her bed. Cole and Marty hugged and Cole left to see Starr. Nora apologized to Marty for not being able to put Todd behind bars, but Marty was still grateful for her help.
Jack was ecstatic to find a ZBox. Starr thought it was silly that Sam got one too. Dorian answered the doorbell to find Angel Mel. "What did I do this time?" Dorian rolled her eyes. Angel Mel made Dorian sign for a package. Angel Mel observed the happy Cramer family and told Dorian she knew about a boy who couldn't get a ZBox. Blair and Dorian opened the package to find presents sent by Todd. The two decided to give them to the kids regardless. Jack didn't want to open it but Blair and Starr convinced him to. Dorian hurried off on an errand. Starr was happy when Cole arrived at the door. The Cramers enjoyed their Christmas together.
Roxy nearly blew Jared's cover at Llanfair when she heard him talking about the engagement ring just as Natalie walked in. Roxy covered her tracks by announcing Charlie and Viki's "engagement." When Natalie asked to see the ring, Viki and Charlie said that they were going to go "shopping" for one. Jared saw Viki, Charlie and Roxy out and Charlie gave Jared some advice about proposing. Natalie and Jared had fun opening gifts. When she opened the box of socks, she playfully poured them over his head. Jared scrambled to find the sock with the box in it.
When he gave Natalie the box, he got down on one knee and proposed! Overjoyed, Natalie said yes and the two kissed. Natalie then realized that Charlie and Viki weren't engaged. "Natalie Buchanan Banks has a nice ring to it, doesn't it?" she exclaimed.
Rex tried to stall Shane from opening presents by making everyone go to church and then made everyone get back into pajamas. Rex told Gigi he didn't want Shane to be disappointed on their first Christmas together. Rex tried to explain to Shane that there wasn't going to be a ZBox but Bo and Matthew arrived with presents. Bo told Rex not to worry about the ZBox. Shane once again wanted to open presents and Rex braced himself just as Roxy arrived with cake. She gave her grandson a big hug. Matthew told Shane to text him after he opened his presents. "I already know what I'm getting," Shane said. Rex cringed. Shane opened his presents and was sad when he didn't get what he wanted. Rex tried to explain and Shane thanked him for the other gifts. "Thanks, Dad," Shane smiled. Gigi and Shane went to the kitchen. Rex answered a knock at the door to find Dorian standing there with a gift for Shane. "This does not change anything between us," she said coolly as she
hurried off. Rex stood amazed. Shane and Gigi came back into the room and Shane was excited to find one more present. He happily and joyfully opened his new ZBox. Gigi smiled as she watched Rex and Shane play.
Bo got an unexpected visitor at the door: Beaver Calhoun, who had a message from Asa. Viki and Charlie arrived at the Buenos Dias.
"After everything that we've been through the past couple of weeks, I wouldn't be surprised of anything that happened in this town," Viki said. Just then, David Vickers arrived in an orange monk robe. Todd got out of the shower to find a very real Marty waiting for him.
