One Life To Live Recaps
OLTL Week of December 20, 2010
Monday
Todd went to Marty's to announce that he blamed her for the death of Eddie Ford. He was convinced that Marty set him up for the murder by stealing his cufflink and placing it on the scene of the murder. "Everything that goes wrong in your life is my fault," Marty spat, then accusing Todd of offing Eddie. When Todd admitted that Rex had been hired to follow her, Marty realized that's how Natalie knew Marty had the DNA results. Natalie barged in and ordered Todd out. "I have to talk to Marty alone," Natalie said breathlessly. As soon as Todd left, Natalie blurted out, "John asked me to marry him and I said yes." Natalie begged Marty not to tell John that she wasn't having his baby.
Bo got ready to tell Nora something. "You are scaring me," she said. Clint interrupted the moment. Nora explained that Eddie had wanted to break up Bo and Nora, and she suspected Inez was behind the plan. Bo didn't think Inez was a criminal, but Clint reminded them that Inez had a thing for Bo. Clint made Bo feel awful by saying "He would never break his wedding vows, right Bo?" Bo looked riddled with guilt. When Nora went for tests, Clint got Bo to admit that he'd slept with Inez., but couldn't remember anything. Clint pretended to be shocked, then urged Bo to keep quiet. "Leave your wife in peace," he advised. When Nora returned, all Bo said was that the text messages had really bothered him. "I know you would never sleep with Inez," Nora assured him lovingly. Outside Nora's room, Clint smiled wickedly.
Charlie and Echo arrived at Llanfair. Echo was grateful that Charlie had offered to help her with her drinking. Viki walked in on their hug. Charlie filled in Viki about Rex's car accident but quickly added that he would be fine. Viki was furious that Echo had not given her the message that Rex was in the accident. Charlie took the blame but Viki was still furious, and told Charlie that Echo was drinking for breakfast. Echo admitted that Charlie knows about her drinking. "I'm going to help her get sober," Charlie said earnestly, adding to Viki's frustrations. When Charlie said that he'd take Echo to an AA meeting, Viki worried that Echo would just insinuate herself more into Charlie's life. Tearing up, she cried, "I'm losing you." Charlie begged her to trust him.
John told Price that both Ford and Inez had motive to kill Eddie. After Price left, Natalie came to John's office and said she wanted to keep their engagement a secret long enough to keep anyone from interfering with their plans.
James and Starr discussed the murder with Langston and Ford. James said that Starr had convinced him to talk to the police. Ford was sure that James hadn't shot Eddie. James admitted to Ford that he had pulled the gun out on Eddie, but hadn't killed him. When James wondered if Ford had killed Eddie, Ford reminded them that he was in the ER all night. Alone with Ford, Langston pointed out that he hadn't been in the ER all night. "Do you want to tell me why you lied to your brother?" she asked. Ford denied killing his father. John showed up at the door and asked Ford where he'd been last night. Langston lied and said she'd been with Ford all night.
A witness came to John and pointed to one of the photos John had as possible suspects.
Clint insinuated to Inez that maybe Nate had shot Eddie. John knocked at the door and wanted to ask Nate a couple of questions. "What were you doing at your father's murder scene?" John asked Nate.
Tuesday
Natalie begged Marty not to tell John that she was carrying Brody's baby, but Marty insisted John deserves to know the truth, reminding Natalie that she wouldn't have a Christmas with Cole for nine years. Natalie pointed out it was Marty keeping her letter from John nine months ago that sent Natalie on a drinking bender and into Brody's bed. Natalie promised to make it worth her while if Marty kept quiet, so Marty demanded that Natalie get Cole out of jail. But Cole confessed, said Natalie, who then pointed out that Marty could be arrested for stealing from the DNA lab. With a laugh, Marty swore on Cole's life not to tell John. Natalie thanked her profusely and hurried home. To Cole's picture, Marty acknowledged that she had promised not to tell John ... but she didn't promise not to tell someone else.
John wondered what Nate was doing at Eddie's room. Nate said he had spent some of the night at the Mannings' because Dani's parents weren't home, and admitted to stopping at Eddie's hotel room before coming home. "He was disgusting," Nate spat. Brody called John over and showed him a gun. "Where did you get the gun?" John asked a terrified Nate.
At home, Dani remembered that Nate hadn't seemed all that surprised to learn about Eddie's death. Todd came home looking grumpy. He lied that he'd been Christmas shopping. Todd told Tea that Marty had stolen his cufflink to frame him for Eddie's death, making him suspect number one. Dani wondered what they were talking about, so Todd explained that one of his cufflinks had been found in Eddie's room. "Dad, you didn't do it for me did you?" Dani asked. Blair walked in and said she hoped Todd wasn't lying about not killing Eddie.
Blair threw away the key to the box that Eli left her, but Dorian suggested that she open it. Kelly returned and admitted couldn't tell Joey she still loves him. Viki arrived at Dorian's bearing gifts for the children and told Dorian all about Echo's latest machinations regarding Charlie. "They are both off bonding at an AA meeting," Viki fumed. Dorian volunteered to deal with Echo. "Don't do anything illegal," Viki said nervously.
Joey introduced Aubrey to Jessica and they all began to decorate the Buchanan tree. Joey looked at the clown ornament that Kelly had given him, as she recalled having received the same ornament from him when they were first a couple. Aubrey dropped the ornament. Joey answered Aubrey's phone but the caller hung up; Aubrey called back the mystery person, covering when Jessica walked in.
Jessica showed up at Kelly's and announced, "I know about you and my brother" — meaning Kevin. Jessica wanted Kelly to go public before the celebrations, and mentioned that Aubrey had just broken the clown ornament. She also told Kelly about the mysterious phone call Aubrey got. "She kind of acted guilty," Jessica noted.
Dani freaked when she arrived at Inez' and saw Nate handcuffed and being taken off to the precinct. She begged him to say he didn't do it but Nate remained silent.
Wednesday
At Angel Square, Dorian lit the Llanview Christmas Tree. "Let the holiday begin!" she cheered as the tree lit up. Santa also arrived, though Jack was quick to tell Sam he wasn't real. Blair threatened to take back all of Jack's presents. Sam wondered what was in Blair's mystery box.
Vimal thanked Clint for the bonus and then began rattling off the secrets. "I pay you for your silence," Clint reminded him.
James and Ford celebrated Christmas eve with some pizza and beer, then headed out in search of some Christmas fun. Starr and Langston were both feeling down so decided to go out. They ran into Ford and James at Angel Square and Starr asked James not to go. "I really need you right now," she said. Langston apologized to Ford for accusing Ford for murdering Eddie.
Charlie and Echo drank some nonalcoholic eggnog. Viki was not amused. After Echo accidentally dropped the turkey on the floor, Viki begged Dorian for help. Dorian lured Echo to La Boulaie with the promise of an easy ten grand to take photos. "Drive safely," chirped Viki. Clint rant into Echo in the foyer as she was leaving. "What you are doing to him is evil," Echo said to Clint. Echo wondered when Clint turned into Asa. What he was doing to Charlie was evil, she hissed. At LaBoulaie, Dorian escorted Echo to the roof, ostensibly to snap pictures of Dorian dressed as Santa. Instead, Dorian locked Echo on the roof. Echo put on the Santa costume to keep warm, and was spotted by Sam. She yelled down the chimney, but Dorian drowned out her cries with music. Dorian lit a fire in the fireplace shortly before Echo tumbled down the chimney! Jack and Sam rushed downstairs and put out the fire. Seconds later, Echo landed in the hearth covered in soot.
John showed up at Llanfair and gave Natalie his mother's engagement ring. "Now we're going to be a family. It feels right," he said. They announced their engagement amid hugging and kissing.
Kelly gave Joey her clown ornament, since Aubrey had broken his. They decided to share custody of it. Aubrey modeled her brand new expensive bracelet, maing sure to kiss Joey a lot in front of Kelly. Joey asked Clint to be respectful to Aubrey. Kelly called Rex and asked him to dig up dirt on Aubrey. A tense Clint said Merry Christmas to Aubrey, still highly suspicious of her.
