One Life To Live Recaps

OLTL Week of August 3, 2009

Monday

Stacy arrived at Rex's loft to find him ready to kick her out. She swore up and down that he is the father of her baby when he questioned her, but she managed to sway him into letting her stay at his place, at least until a paternity test could be done. Once he was gone, she talked to her baby bump about their future with Rex. Schuyler stopped by the carriage house to find Gigi in a terrible mood. She was even angrier when Rex came home and said he'd agreed to let Stacy stay. Rex and Schuyler heatedly exchanged words about Gigi, while Gigi headed over to the loft with an envelope full of money for Stacy to get an abortion.

While getting ready for the wedding, Viki asked Nora how she was feeling and said she wanted to talk about the night before at Asa's lodge. Nora paled but Viki went on about the box she and Clint had found. Viki assured Nora that Clint is her past and Charlie is her future when Nora mistakenly thought Viki was saying she was having second thoughts about letting Clint go. Viki noticed how nervous Nora was, and Nora pointed out that the last time she was married, it was practically to a stranger. Viki left her alone, and Nora turned to face herself in the mirror, asking "Oh, Nora, what are you going to do?"

Dorian and Blair toasted to their "fabulous" life when they suddenly heard a cat mewing outside. Dorian wandered over to find the little kitty and Blair suddenly imagined the two of them in a completely disheveled La Boulaie a la Grey Gardens. Blair, wearing a "Little Edie"-like scarf, pranced around as she and Dorian had "Tea for Two." Blair bounced back to reality for a moment and blinked at the thought of that being their future. When Dorian later assured Blair that they'll never be alone because they have each other, she fantasized about a tuxedo-clad Todd coming to save her. When he asked what she was wearing, she launched into a long explanation about her dislike of skirts. He held a handkerchief to his mouth as she talked of her long history of suitors and promising music career. Téa wandered in (wearing a ball gown and speaking with a British affect) and pointed out that a cat is going to the bathroom on the floor. A graying Dorian insisted to Todd that they would never leave La Boulaie. Blair imagined Todd telling her that she'd lost her last chance with him because she gave up.

Meanwhile, Todd and Téa looked positively cuddly at the wedding, where Bo and Clint appeared anxious as no brides had shown themselves yet. Destiny and Matthew chatted about his triumph over Todd, and she noted that Shaun would have been impressed. Shaun arrived and told Destiny that she was the prettiest girl in the room, then suddenly noticed the prettiest woman in the room, in his estimation ‹ Rachel.

Jessica admitted to Brody how often she'd been thinking of Nash that day. Meanwhile, someone in a brown suede jacket was crouching outside near Nash's tombstone. Finally, the ceremony began and Viki entered the chapel with a proud, beaming grin. "Where's Nora?" Clint asked, confused, while Bo shifted around with a hopeful look on his face. But, both women walked down the aisle, to Bo's apparent dismay. Charlie and Viki exchanged vows first and
Charlie credited her with helping him and Jared reunite. Natalie and Jared shot each other a gooey look, and Todd made a disgusted face. Viki delivered her own heartfelt vows to Charlie, and after Clint gushed to Nora about wanting to spend the rest of their lives together, Nora nervously eked out that she loves Clint and that's, uh ... about it! Back at La Boualaie, Blair suddenly cried out, "No cats!" and dragged Dorian upstairs.

Tuesday

Gigi offered Stacy money to have an abortion. Stacy was horrified and vowed that her baby would have a great life. Stacy reminded Gigi that she didn't have any money when she was a teen mom raising Shane. Stacy predicted that Rex would be right by her side during her whole pregnancy. She then called Shane a brat. Gigi blasted her sister and accused her of using the pregnancy to trap Rex and to use the baby as a weapon. "You are just worried that you will lose Rex," Stacy said. Gigi stormed out. Stacy bent over in severe pain. Stacy grabbed the phone and made a call. "Please help me," she cried. Rex turned off his cell phone. The EMTs raced over and helped Stacy.
Shane wondered why Rex was at his house. "You and mom are fighting again," he said. Rex promised that he would never be getting back together with Stacy. Rex couldn't say for certain that Stacy was out of their lives, however. In fact, he told Shane that he was the father of Stacy's baby. Shane was stunned and worried that Stacy would take Rex away from them again. Rex vowed that he'd always be there for Shane and Gigi. Gigi was annoyed that Rex told Shane about the baby. Gigi told him she didn't go to the wedding; she went to see Stacy instead. Rex wondered why she did that. Gigi told Rex she recommended Stacy have an abortion.
Todd's phone went off just as the final wedding vows were about to be said. The brides were annoyed. Bo remembered the kiss. A drunken Dorian and Blair interrupted the wedding. "Wait hold everything," Dorian said. Dorian wanted to keep them from making the biggest mistakes of their lives. Dorian made a toast and then everyone said their vows and smiled, except for Bo. In honor of Nora's Jewish religion, Clint smashed the glass. Everyone kissed and smiled and applauded except for a very sad Bo. At the reception, Bo danced with the bride. Téa and Todd argued and flirted. Téa told him that she predicts a struggle with Blair over Todd.
Blair, all alone in the church, went on a rant about Todd. "He can do so much better than her," she said about Todd and Téa.
Jessica left flowers on Nash's grave and then thought he was there behind her. "Nash, talk to me," she begged. Brody asked Jessica if she saw (or thought she saw) Nash again and she denied it. Brody went to get the car as Jessica continued to ask Nash to talk to her.
Nora and Viki began to toss the bouquet. Bo had a drink and muttered that "we weren't meant to be." Viki's bouquet was caught by Téa. Nora's bouquet was caught by Blair.

Wednesday

Matthew commented to Rachel that Bo looked very upset. Bo headed to the bar and saw Dr. Greg. Greg asked if Bo was okay. "You want to operate on my son without getting my permission," Bo said as he knocked back the drinks. Greg reminded him that Clint had brought him into the picture. Bo insisted that Matthew wouldn't have the surgery without his permission "or my ex-wife's." Bo left and Rachel showed up at the bar. Greg flirted with her and told her she was afraid of really letting herself go. Greg asked her why she was dating Shaun, speculating, "Because you know it would never happen with him.” Greg told her she didn't want to lose control. "You don't know me," she said as she threw her glass of wine in his face, then left the bar with Shaun.

Rex couldn't believe that Gigi suggested to Stacy that she have an abortion. Gigi insisted that if there was no baby "then we might have a chance." "But there is a baby and I cannot abandon this child. Can you live with this?" Rex asked. "I would give anything for Stacy not to be pregnant," Gigi admitted. "It's real," Rex reminded her. "Where does that leave us?" Gigi asked. Gigi wished she could go back in time. Rex felt the same. "I just don't want to fight anymore. I need you. I love you so much," she said. Rex and Gigi kissed and headed upstairs.

Stacy lay on Rex's floor sobbing about "my baby" as the EMTs tended to her. She told them she was 6 weeks pregnant and added that her sister had tried to get her to have an abortion. Stacy was on the gurney and learned that the baby was not okay. She started crying again. "This baby is everything to me. It's Rex's baby," she sad. "I'm sorry. There is no baby," the EMT said. Stacy couldn't stop sobbing. "This baby proved that he loved me," she sobbed. She opened up to the EMT who tried to calm her down. Stacy refused to go to the hospital. She lay on the bed looking at the photo of Rex.

Brody thought he knew why Nash was trying to get in touch with Jessica. Jessica asked Brody if he wanted to slow things down. Brody said absolutely not. Jessica said she was scared and didn't know what that feeling was she was having about Nash. "Can you live with that?" she asked. Jessica kissed him.

Téa and Blair exchanged barbs, as usual. Téa asked Shaun to take her home. Blair, still drunk, asked Todd to dance. He rolled his eyes. Todd didn't want to dance with either of them but he did want to finish his date with Téa. Todd reminded Téa that she was first to him. Todd told Blair he didn't want her and wanted her to go home. Todd gave Téa a passionate kiss. Blair watched, slightly annoyed. Todd took Téa to the roof of the Palace, where Frankie Negron performed for her. Frankie said that Todd felt horrible about what happened between him and Blair.

Blair apologized to Viki for disrupting the service. Blair insisted that she didn't care about Todd anymore. Viki rolled her eyes. Charlie took Viki to the Buenos Dias Café, which was empty. Viki told him she was so happy to be his wife and they kissed.

Thursday

Layla asked Fish for his opinion on a bracelet and he got all defensive and remembered the whole "are you gay" question that Layla had asked him earlier. They worked it out and Fish headed to "the cop shop." Later he sent her flowers.
Cristian remembered bits of conversation he had had with Kyle and put it together that Kyle and Fish might have been involved romantically. Layla wasn't interested in Cristian's observations. Layla told Cristian that Fish had integrity. "He's the guy I've been looking for all my life," she said.

Brody brought some marked bills to Cole. Then he ran into Asher and Serge, who stopped him in his tracks. Brody headed to his "job" at Rodi's. Serge wondered why Brody had been at Cole's apartment twice. Serge checked Cole to see if he was wearing a wire. "Who and what the hell are you?" Serge demanded. Asher asked Cole all about his relationship with John McBain. Cole explained that John was dating his mom but that he hadn't done anything to help him. The reason Cole wasn't in jail was because his mom "bought a good lawyer." Serge and Asher were still suspect.

Brody and John looked at Serge's file online. John told Brody that he had put a bug in Cole's apartment. At that moment, Serge began scanning Cole's apartment for bugs. Fortunately, he found nothing. Serge and Asher said that he could start selling. Once outside of Cole's apartment, Serge said that he had planted a bug of his own. However, the cops found that out immediately.

John promised Marty that he wouldn't let anything happen to Cole. Marty gushed over her granddaughter Hope.

Kyle and Roxy had lunch. Kyle had no problem talking to her about his feelings toward Fish. Roxy ran into Fish and told him that Kyle "was crazy about you." Fish approached Kyle and asked him for a moment. Kyle told Fish that he still loved him. Fish denied that he was gay. Fish called what happened in college "just a phase." "I know who I am. I'm with Layla now," Fish stated. The two men kissed.

Stacy imagined herself coming home with the baby and Rex proposing but then remembered she'd suffered a miscarriage. Stacy blamed her sister for the miscarriage.

Gigi couldn't believe that Stacy was having Rex's baby. Gigi and Rex argued. Rex kept Gigi from going to Stacy's to apologize. Gigi wondered if Rex would forgive her for suggesting to Stacy that she have an abortion. Gigi thought that she and Shane would be competing with Stacy and her baby. "And it feels like Stacy is already winning," she said. Rex promised Gigi that everything would be fine, despite the fact that Stacy was having his child. Rex left and Gigi began to sob. "Gigi, you okay?" asked Schuyler, who appeared at her door. Schuyler told Gigi that Rex had asked him to no longer be her friend. Gigi admitted that she was a monster because she asked Stacy to have an abortion. "We're going to be stuck with her forever," she said furiously. Schuyler tried to assure Gigi that Rex loves her and then he kissed her.

Rex came home. "Rex, there is something I have to tell you," Stacy said with pain in her eyes. Rex thought she had had the abortion, but Stacy said no. "Our baby is fine," she lied. Rex told her that he knew about the abortion question. He apologized on behalf of himself and Gigi. He admitted that he did want Stacy to have the baby. Stacy smiled.

Viki and Charlie cuddled and chatted and looked at possible brochures for their honeymoon. Viki noted that this was the first time there was no crisis in their lives. "I am living my dream every day," Charlie said as he lovingly kissed Viki. Charlie said he still felt awful about what a bad father he had been. Viki assured him that he and Jared were very close now
and that Charlie would be an awesome grandfather.

Friday

Starr and Cole talked on the phone as the bug recorded every word. Todd listened to his daughter and was wondering what she was talking about. John came into the apartment and showed Cole his phone. The words "apartment is bugged" were on the screen. Cole stopped talking immediately. John walked around the apartment and hunted for the bug. As they knew they were being bugged, they had a conversation in which they pretended to be at odds. Once outside the apartment, they went back to normal. John asked Cole to remember the conversation he had just had with Starr. John assured Cole he was doing good. "Watch everything you say," John said firmly. John suggested he cut off all contact with Starr. He reminded Cole that he shouldn't bring Starr
and Hope into the danger. John said he'd talk to Starr and explain the situation.

Todd admitted to Starr that he's very happy with Téa. Todd didn't want to discuss his love life with his daughter. "Sex with Mom was a mistake," he said. John showed up and said he had something to tell Starr. A curious Todd left. John told Starr there was to be no contact with Cole until the whole undercover operation was over.

Kyle pulled Oliver into a kiss that Cristian promptly walked in on. "Is that what you won't tell Layla?" Cristian asked. Oliver pushed Kyle away. Oliver insisted he wasn't gay but Cristian didn't believe him. "You have to tell her," Cris said. "Don't come near me again," Oliver said to Kyle. "Don't worry, we're done, Oliver," Kyle replied. Cris understood about the note now. Kyle didn't think Oliver would be telling Layla the truth and suggested that Cris had feelings for Layla. Cris denied it. Kyle thought that even if Oliver didn't tell her, "she'd figure it out." "What if she doesn't?" Cristian wondered to himself.

Layla smiled at the huge bouquet of flowers on her desk. "I have something I need to tell you," Oliver said somberly. However, once one of his fellow cops smiled at the two of them, Olivier changed his mind about telling her anything. "Are you sure? It sounded serious," Layla said. No, he insisted. Layla told him that Cristian was working all night and they would have the apartment all to themselves. Olivier and Layla kissed.

Clint and Nora looked at the photos of their recent wedding. She was very happy Clint was going with her to the hearing. Clint promised his bride that he wouldn't be bribing the judge. Clint said he knows all about Nora's attorney. "He's a shark," Clint said.

Destiny went into the courtroom with Matthew. He admitted to being nervous. Téa joined them. Téa wondered if he was keeping secrets from her. Téa demanded to know what he has on his parents. "It's personal," Matthew insisted. Matthew didn't want to use the kiss against his parents, pointing out that he’d already tried to blackmail them and it didn't work. Téa assured Matthew that she wouldn't use the "thing" against his parents and begged Matthew for the tools to win the case. Destiny thought Matthew should tell her. Matthew told Téa about the kiss. Téa smiled. Bo and Nora entered the courtroom with Clint and their new lawyer, Elijah.

Bo sat in his office and remembered the passionate kiss with Nora. Rex knocked on his door. "Stacy's pregnant," Rex said embarrassed and humiliated and ashamed. Rex explained that it had been confirmed. "And it's yours?" Bo asked. Rex didn't want to abandon his kid. Rex was confident that he and Gigi could stay together. Rex asked Bo for advice. Bo admitted he had many chances to say how he felt to Nora. "Bo why didn't you speak up?" Rex asked as he filled his mouth with a chocolate donut. Bo told him about the kiss. "It's obvious that it didn't matter," Bo stated. Rex didn't buy it. "I couldn't do that to Clint. Nora stopped two weddings where I was the groom. It's humiliating. Clint is a good man," Bo said. Bo told Rex about the lawsuit. Rex wished him luck and left.

Gigi pushed Schuyler away. (They were kissing.) "Should I just leave?" Schuyler said awkwardly. "What were you thinking?" Gigi asked. "I thought we were friends." Gigi said. Schuyler couldn't explain why he had kissed her. "No guy in their right mind would choose Stacy over you," he said. Gigi didn't think that Schuyler cared about her "like that." Gigi
reminded Schuyler that she loves Rex. Gigi didn't know what they should do next. Schuyler suggested they forget the kiss "ever happened." "I don't want to lose you as a friend," Gigi said. They agreed they wouldn't think about it again and they shook hands as friends. Rex showed up and Schuyler left. Gigi told Rex that Schuyler just kissed her. Rex made a stunned face.
