Monday
Viki was delighted to see David at her door and laughed when he told her
about his job as spokesperson for "Have a Seat." Viki was thrilled to hear
that he and Dorian had split. Viki told David she was proud of him and his
new career before he left for the airport.
Gigi gave Brody the go-ahead to tell Jessica the whole truth. Brody was
delighted. She remained convinced she had to give up Rex to save Shane.
Brody hoped she and Rex would reconcile. Gigi thought Jessica and Brody
"were two lost souls trying to find each other." Brody assured her that she
and Rex were soul mates. Brody told Jessica that he never slept with Gigi.
Brody explained that Gigi had asked him to keep that a secret and apologized
for keeping it from Jessica. Brody wanted to trust Jessica with all his
secrets and Jessica felt the same. Jessica and Brody started kissing.
Roxy visited Rex's father and told him that she now has enough stem cells to
save Shane many times over. She turned off his life support system and left
the room. Alone at last, Roxy took a swig from her flask. Meanwhile, the
nurse entered his room and the patient sat up. Yikes. Roxy got a call from
the nurse who told her that the patient had died. "It's over," Roxy said to
herself. Meanwhile the nurse informed the patient, "I told her what you wanted me
to."
Marty and John drove out of Llanview and they heard the radio report of his
escape. John reminded her that it wasn't too late for her to change her
mind.
Starr told Cole, who was jonesing for a pill, that she would be there for
him while they hunted for the truth about Hope. Cole got a call from Marty.
She assured him that she was fine, but he needed to remember that John was
innocent. "It looks like the killer might be after me," she said. Cole
panicked and wanted to see his mom. She said she was safe with John and that
Cole had to finish his rehab. Starr returned from paying the check and found
Cole's pills under the table. Starr exploded at Cole for still using. Starr
demanded that Cole tell her that he hadn't been high since Matthew's
accident. He admitted that he'd fallen off the wagon. "Was it something that
I did?" she asked, tears falling down her cheeks. "Please, no more lies," she
begged. "I never stopped using," he admitted. Starr was stunned. "I can't
stop," he continued.
Stacy yelled at Schuyler for showing her bag of blood to Rex. He insisted
(Rex was there too) that something was off about Stacy's donation to Shane.
Stacy tried to lie her way out of it. Stacy reminded Rex that he had seen
her give her blood. Stacy insisted that Shane got "my stem cells." Schuyler
was convinced that someone else's cells were given to Shane. Rex thought
Schuyler was nuts and left. Stacy began concocting explanations for why
Schuyler had found her blood in the trash. Schuyler kicked Stacy out of his
apartment.
Rex ran into Gigi outside of Brody's room and again reprimanded her for
sleeping with Brody. Gigi just agreed with him. Rex stormed off and Gigi
tried not to cry. They again ran into each other this time outside of
Shane's hospital room. Rex told her that Shane looked better. They wanted to
hug but they didn't.
Tuesday
Starr grew angrier and angrier after Cole admitted he had never stopped
using. "I can't stop," he insisted. "Do you think I want to take these, and
fail my drug test and go to prison?" he asked, shaking the bottle. Starr
promised to stay with him and said she would take him somewhere safe. "You
are not weak. You are an addict," Starr reminded him strongly. Cole threw
his pills into the river. Starr snuck Cole into LaBoulaie and brought him
upstairs.
Gigi almost told Rex the truth about her deal with Stacy, but then a priest showed up and
she remembered her deal with God. Shane started to cry when Rex and Gigi
told him about their breakup. Rex reminded him that he would get through
this. "I will always be your father. I will always want two things for you
— that you are happy and healthy," Rex assured his sobbing son. Rex kissed
his son goodbye and Gigi and Rex left his room.
Todd showed up at Téa's door. Todd played with her makeup brush. Todd
reminded her that they didn't always have to talk, hint hint. RJ appeared at
Téa's door ready for his date with her. Téa gave Todd a look before heading
out. Todd lurked in the bar watching Téa and RJ on their date. RJ wondered
if she was using him to make Todd jealous. RJ reminded her that she could do
"infinitely better than Todd Manning." Téa and RJ kissed. Téa left. Todd
left the redhead he was flirting with and followed Téa. Téa was taking off
her dress when Todd knocked on her door. They started kissing. RJ began a
flirtation with the redhead at the bar.
Langston told her uncle Ray that he looked "kind of hot." Langston was
surprised to see that Dorian was his date. Langston reminded her mother that
her husband — that would be David — would also find her attractive. "You
two kids have fun," Langston said as she let Markko in. The teens started
kissing passionately and made plans to sleep together on prom night, their
anniversary. "Am I a total cliché?" Langston asked. "I don't know how I'm
going to wait that long," he answered.
At the Palace, Charlie told Ray to watch his back when it came to Dorian.
Ray asked what that was about. "Sometimes I do bad things," Dorian admitted.
Ray helped Dorian take off her jacket. Charlie and Viki kissed.
"Stay with me tonight, Jessica. I want to make love with you," Brody
whispered. Both admitted they were nervous to be with the other.
Brody confessed that he'd slept with a lot of women after he got out of
Iraq, but they didn't mean anything. "You mean the world to me," he said.
After they made love, Jessica said she had to return to her daughters. "I
don't want to go," she said. "Then don't, not yet," he said. They made love
again, Jessica kissed him goodbye. The two were both really, really happy.
Wednesday
Cole began to detox from the pills and it wasn't pretty. He was shaking and
had the sweats. Starr told him that he had to drink plenty of water and that
the situation would last up to 48 hours. He got a call from Rachel checking
up with him. She hoped he was with his mother because his bed at the center
had not been slept in. Cole panicked that Rachel would figure out he was in
trouble. He begged Starr to go to the Palace and get him "one pill." Starr
was horrified at that suggestion. Cole then suggested Starr steal one pill
from her aunt. Starr refused. "I promise you can do this," Starr said. Cole
started banging on the walls. Starr did her best to stay calm as Cole
thought he was on fire and bugs were crawling all over him. Starr tried to
get Cole to breath. Cole vomited as Starr grew more and more frantic about
what to do to help him. Starr tried to distract Cole by reminding him how he
had taken care of her when she was pregnant. "I just want to die," he said.
Starr told him he was the first person who ever really understood her. Starr
got Cole to drink water as she recounted the story of their love as a
hypothetical story. Starr went to get Cole some ginger ale. Cole gave her a
weak smile and looked a photo of him and Starr in a happier time.
Nora questioned Rachel on what she was doing with Cole. Rachel insisted that
Cole was reaching out to her. Nora wasn't so sure. Clint walked in as the
women argued. Rachel explained to Matthew that she had been assigned to
Cole's case. Matthew had no problem with Rachel helping Cole. Matthew headed
out for his first day back at school since the accident. Clint watched as Bo
put his arm around Nora and reminded her that he knows exactly how she
feels.
In a motel in Rochester, Marty and John had an awkward conversation. John
was hoping to find the killer in town. John told Marty that Powell Lord,
another one of the rapists, was in Rochester. Marty refused to let John go
anywhere without him. John didn't want Marty involved with his problems.
Marty was ready to face Powell and reminded John that she didn't remember
the rape anyway. John and Marty arrived at an institution to visit Powell
Lord. They said they were Kevin and Jessica Buchanan and wanted to visit
their cousin Powell. Miraculously they were able to produce IDs as proof.
The receptionist headed upstairs to check on Powell. Seconds later the
newspaper article about John and Marty flashed up on her computer screen.
Fish gave a report to Bo. Bo figured out that John had left a clue that
Marty was the next target for the killer. Bo asked Fish what he had been
working on with John. Fish didn't answer. Bo spoke in code and got Fish to
agreed to only report to him.
Téa and Todd woke up. Téa had to head to court but Todd distracted her by
kissing her. Téa pulled herself together and reminded him that she would be
coming for him in the court room. Then Téa crawled all over him again. Téa
was angry at the front page of the Sun. Dorian knocked at Téa's door. Téa
didn't want Dorian to come in. Dorian wondered who Téa was with, and assumed
it was RJ. Now in the courtroom Téa suggested to the judge
that they reconvene. Todd smiled as it was clear he had the upper hand. Todd
mentioned that John, who has custody of his children, had been arrested
for murder. Téa rattled off all the bad parenting choices Todd had made over
the years. The judge told Téa to "Keep her personal issues out of his
courtroom." Todd won custody of his children.
Dorian demanded to be put through to Téa's room. "Do you have any idea who I
am," she barked at the operator. Jack was angry with Dorian for not helping
him with her diorama. Ray offered to help Jack. "Good luck you two," Dorian
said as she exited the room. Jack and Ray created a diorama of Custer's Last
Stand. Jack compared Todd to Sitting Bull. Dorian came home and found Ray
reading Sam a story. Meanwhile Jack frantically texted Todd and asked him to
"Get Me Out of Here." Dorian was afraid of losing custody. Téa showed up
with Todd who announced that he had won custody. Jack leapt in his arms.
Dorian told Todd she'd destroy him if he hurt the children. Todd told a
horrified Starr that she better pack up.
Thursday
Téa told Starr that she and her brothers were now legally under their
father's care. Starr said she'd couldn't leave. (Cole was detoxing
upstairs.) "I'm not a kid," she insisted. Todd didn't want to split up the
siblings. Starr said she'd join them tomorrow. Todd reminded her that he was
her father. Téa offered to help her pack. Meanwhile Cole had the chills and
was shaking. He kept reminding himself that he was okay. Starr broke the
news to Cole that she had to leave. Cole panicked. "Starr, I can't do this
alone," Cole moaned. Starr didn't know what to do. Cole was in great pain.
Todd knocked at her door and wondered why the door was locked. Todd demanded
to know what was going on. Starr said she was changing and she'd be right
there. Starr tried to come up with plan B. Meanwhile, Todd threatened to
break down the door. Starr tried to help Cole out the window. Téa talked to
Todd and the two engaged in a sexual flirtation. Téa asked Todd to think
about what was best for Starr. Todd immediately apologized to Starr. Starr
frantically packed a bag and left her room, leaving Cole shivering. Starr
texted Cole and promised him she'd be back.
Dorian made it clear to Todd that she was furious with him. Todd made a
crack about Téa being a bad lawyer. Ray made a suggestion and Todd told him
to mind his own business.
Bo and Nora staked out Matthew's school to make sure he would be okay on his
first day back. Bo and Nora wanted to keep on watching. They both applauded
the other on what great parents they were. Nora admitted she didn't want to
smother Matthew. Bo said she was glad they still have Matthew to worry
about, alluding to the fact that he already had lost one son. "We are so
lucky," Nora said. Bo commented that Rachel has a great way with Matthew.
Nora confessed that she was at odds with Rachel because Rachel is Cole's
counselor. "My daughter is helping the kid who paralyzed our son," she said.
"He is so forgiving and I am not,"Nora added. Bo made it clear that he still
blamed Cole for Matthew's accident. Nora started to open up about the whole
situation and got teary. Bo lifted her chin and their faces drew closer.
Marcie welcomed Matthew back. Students watched as he rolled his wheelchair
down the halls. Matthew had a hard time maneuvering his chair near a desk.
Matthew told Destiny that things were cool with Becca and Justin. Destiny
thought they were playing him. She added that she had told them they could
be accessories to Matthew's accident. Matthew insisted they were his
friends. Destiny disagreed. Destiny moved her seat in the classroom. Justin
told Becca that there was no way Matthew's parents could sue them. "So we
don't have to pretend we like him," Becca said. Justin made a mean remark
about Matthew and the class giggled. Justin continued making fun of Matthew.
Marcie gave Justin an assignment as punishment. "I'll get you, Buchanan,"
Justin whispered. Matthew asked Becca if she had pretended to be her friend.
John reminded Marty that they are pretending to be Kevin and Jessica. The
receptionist told them that they were the first people to visit Powell since
he was admitted. She wondered what would happen when they would see him.
"Prepare yourself. He's restrained," she told them. Only one would be able
to go at a time. Marty insisted she go first much to John's dismay. Once the
receptionist left John sat at her desk and was horrified to see his face on
the front page of the newspaper on her computer. John did a search for
Powell Lord, and then searched for rapists. An orderly walked into the
office. "What do you think you're doing," he asked. John said he was
checking his email and then started to read a magazine. He immediately
returned to the desk when the orderly left. He began snooping through the
files and found Powell's file. John took some information and put the file
back.
Marty wanted to go into see Powell alone. Marty took a deep breath and
walked into the padded room. She saw Powell in a straight jacket. "Hello
Powell," she said. Powell turned and looked at her. "Do I know you?" he
asked. Marty flashed back to 1993. Powell knew that it was a lie that she
was his cousin. Powell wanted to tell the girl he had hurt a long time ago
that he was sorry. Powell said he was never allowed outside. "Are you sure I
don't know you?" Powell asked.
Friday
In the school parking lot, Marcie thought she caught some teens necking but
instead she interrupted a near kiss between Bo and Nora. Marcie told Bo and
Nora that some kids were teasing Matthew. Bo and Nora were furious. Marcie
wondered why they were trying to live Matthew's life for him. Bo told Nora
that they had to let Matthew work through his own stuff. "He's a lot
stronger than you think," Marcie said as she left for her next class.
Sam and Jack enjoyed a room full of toys at Todd's. Starr still wanted to go
back to Dorian's to help Cole who was in the midst of detoxing. "Starr,
Starr I need you," Cole said as he rolled around the floor. Dorian called
Langston and told her that Todd took all the kids. Dorian almost went into
Starr's room but she turned away because she had no intention of sending
anything else to Todd's for Starr. Starr wanted to go back to Dorian's but
Todd said that was out of the question. Starr went to her new room and
called Cole. He told her he couldn't do it alone. Todd grabbed the phone
away from Starr and told the person on the other end to stay away from his
daughter. But he thought she was talking to Mr. J. Starr blamed Todd for the
deaths of Hope and Dr. Joplin, along with hurting several other women. Starr
hinted that Cole was suffering too. Starr called her father twisted and was
stunned that he didn't think he had done anything wrong. "It is always about
you," she pointed out to her father. "You don't know what love is," she
said. Starr admitted that she had wanted Marcie to adopt her baby to hurt Todd. "I don't think you're that spiteful," Todd said. Todd
thought Starr hated him. "Hate you. Don't you know how much I love you? I
just want my dad back, not the freak you turned into when I got pregnant,"
Starr said. Starr begged Todd to let her go right now. Todd wondered what
was so important that it couldn't wait for one day. "It's Cole," she
admitted. "He'll die without me."
Cole started hallucinating and he saw Todd standing over him. Then his
mother stood there and told him she was embarrassed to be his mother."I
didn't mean to disappoint you," he said grabbing imaginary Marty's leg. Then
Markko and Schuyler appeared to torment him. Finally, Nora and Matthew (in
his wheelchair) appeared. Cole apologized to Matthew who had nothing but
hateful words for his former friend. Matthew stood up and said, "You should
be in that chair. You and not me."
Brody surprised Jessica on Viki's patio. They agreed that Stacy was a bitch.
Brody and Jessica wanted to be together all the time. Brody didn't want to
sneak around. Jessica heard Viki calling her so Brody quickly hid in the
bushes. Viki thought Jessica was glowing. Viki heard something in the bushes
and was about to call the police. "Brody, come out," Jessica said. He
sheepishly appeared.
Viki got a call from the administrator at the mental institute. Viki thought
it was odd that she said Kevin and Jessica had been up to visit their cousin
Powell. The administrator thought that perhaps Viki could now give a bigger
donation to Sitwell. Dorian charged into Viki's foyer and asked what they
were going to do about the fact that Todd stole Blair's children. Viki
promised to keep an eye on the children but that was all she could do. John
called Viki. "Mrs. Davidson, it's John McBain. Are you alone?" he asked.
Dorian headed out to tell Blair she had lost her children. Viki asked John
why he left. John explained that he wanted to find the killer before he
killed again. Viki remembered that Powell had had a girlfriend, Rebecca
Lewis.
John pointed out that Marty's name appeared on the sign in sheets to the
institute. Marty couldn't believe that her exact signature was forged on the
sign in sheet. Someone wearing Dr. Saybrooke's jacket learned that Powell
had received some other visitors. The administrator told "Marty" that the
log was missing. "Marty" forged the real Marty's name. "Marty" went in to
see Powell. "Hello Rebecca," he said with a smile. Rebecca let Powell out of
his straight jacket and it was clear that Powell was very lucid. In fact, he
was delighted that John and Marty had been there. Powell and Rebecca
embraced. "I've got places to go and people to kill," he said creepily.
