If it is not Spinelli, and they cast someone, I think casting Tom Pelphrey would be enormously successful. Anybody who has seen Pelphrey on GL knows that if he brought that kind of intensity to the character of Sonny's son, it would add a lot of conflict and allow Maurice Bernard a lot of opportunity to show off his acting chops!

I think it would be a scream if it were Spinelli, since Sonny really can't stand the guy. He would probably have to give his head a shake and wonder how any child of his would turn out this way.As for the other guy, I don't know him but I am sure from what you say he would be an asset to the show as well.

That WOULD be an EXCELLENT choice. I stopped watching GL when Tom left. I only go back when he's on. I'm sure he would bring great ratings to GH also.

Tom Pelphrey has an energy that is contagious. He and Maurice Bernard would be amazing as father and son, much like he and Kim Zimmer, as mother and son. Just imagining the scenes between Maurice and Tom have me salivating...and it is just a rumor that they are thinking of casting him. The other half of that rumor being that they are just using him to scare Steve Burton into re-signing. I think that Tom would add so much to GH. Could you imagine Jason trying to contain the damage that Sonny's son could wreak on PC. He would be a perfect "bad boy" for Lulu.Sorry for the rave, but I am a huge Tom Pelphrey fan, in case you hadn't noticed!

Yeah ITA when I heard this storyline I actually felt my stomach getting sour another long lost gee how many is that now "recently" Sam, Logan, Matt, now Spinelli?What is this need to anchor every newbie to the show in a long lost, can't people just come to town? I don't feel GH values family much anyway with the destruction of the core families so why is everytime a newbie is on 5 minutes they are "a long lost"...Spinelli is cute, quirky -nerdy and that's all good...but is that all he's going to be? Will he evolve? I like him but I just don't want to hear about the Maternal one, and the Valkyrie what else has he got...is he getting his own flat? He needs one. I was wondering why the emphasize on Sonny treating him so horribly then finally an apology at this wedding maybe that is the anvil...Sonny having another son offers me no drama when he ignores the ones he has. Was Krystina in the wedding? I must have messed it when she walked down the isle...for me this is the same ole' story it offers me no new drama...

I read in SOD that TPTB at GH are hiring an "unknown" so it's doubtful that Sonny's newly revealed son is already on the show. I also remember reading that some people thought that the GH writers had Michael shot so that they could age the character. It seems as though the writers really want Sonny to have an older son, so maybe instead of aging Michael, they've created an adult son for Sonny and Olivia. Or maybe they'll still age Michael and have him and Sonny's biological son by Olivia be rivals?

On Friday's episode, Olivia called her son on the phone and used his entire name, that ended in Falconeri. Why would her son need to have the separate identity of Spinelli? Also wasn't there was a grandmother that lived, I believe, down south? I think that there would have to be some significant backpedaling to make Spinelli the long lost son.

Spinelli does indeed have a grandmother who lives in the South -- but perhaps he only thinks she's his granny?

I don't think I like the idea of Spinelli being Sonny's son. It would be downright weird and I would hope that they wouldn't do that to Spinelli.

It would be cute considering Sonny can't stand Spinnelli but I have another question or statement I guess. Olivia dated Sonny first, then Kate. So if Olivia was pregnant w/his baby Kate would know this. Would she still date him? And she never said anything about Olivia going away during this time, which I would assume would be when they were still in high school. So Sonny didn't leave Bensonhurst till after Kate turned down his first marriage proposal which I'm assuming again would be somewhere around her graduation, definately before she left for Harvard. Wouldn't he have seen Olivia around the neighborhood? And wouldn't Lois have known that Olivia was pregnant? Just seems like this shouldn't be so much of a secret.

Ok, I saw Monday & yesterday's show last night so it answered some of my previous questions. But still, even if only Olivia & Kate knew Sonny was the daddy..would Kate have dated him back then?

Spinelli is not going to be Olivias son. He has a past he has met Olivia nad Olivia knows her son only sonny does not.

My understanding was Kate broke up with Sonny because she knew about the kid.AND because she wanted to make something of herself, etc. They happened simultaneously. She probably never wanted to look back because it hurt too much to know Sonny has a kid with her cousin. They supposedly had one last big blow-out fight back in the day. I'd like to know what that was all about.
