AMC is so boring and bad, it's been 7 days since anyone posted on this board about it. Now that's bad.Don't worry about Dr. Macho. If AMC ever gets a clue and realizes that he's obnoxious, that he's not Kendall's type, or that the nonstop promotion of him by the actor who plays him, by the HW and by the network is not working, they'll just have Dr. Macho take off his shirt. It's apparently his best talent, and I can promise you, he'll be doing that alot once summertime comes. The fact that the acting is mediocre (I'm being kind) and the character himself is a jackass won't mean much to ABC or AMC. My own opinion is that Jordi V. is not leading man material, and that he should be supporting, with Stephanie Gatschet and Crishelle Stause. I actually think Dr. Macho should be paired with Madison or even Greenlee, or even Amanda if AMC has the guts to really shake Jake and Amanda up. He fits in better with them and has chemistry with each of these women. But no, we'll be force-fed Kendall and Griffin until Alicia Minshew decides to return to NYC or AMC is cancelled, whichever comes first.I miss Zach, and I miss Thorsten Kaye, but even if I didn't and he were on AMC right now, under contract, I wouldn't see the appeal of Dr. Macho, especially played by this actor.

I completely agree with both your posts. JV is not leading man material. Putting his character in Alicia Minshew Kendall's orbit only emphasizes that fact even more and Thorsten Kaye's Zach Slater's absence is more and more evident every episode. Alicia Minshew is a strong enough actress, whose alter ego Kendall can easily carry a s/ l on her own as a single mother/ business woman. She doesn't need an albatross like Dr. Macho around her neck. Their scenes together are difficult to watch, because they're awkward and forced and neither the characters nor the actors have an ounce of chemistry. Griffen does have chemistry with Amanda, Greenlee and Madison. Start him off with supporting players in the cast and let him develop a following, instead of throwing him at a lead actress of Alicia Minshew's caliber and expect the audience to accept it, especially after her six year very successful pairing with someone of Thorsten Kaye's acting credentials. Kendall/Griffen has FAIL written all over it and AMC can Ill afford another major dud.

I have not missed TK/Zach more than after reading AMC's plans for February sweeps. Without his presence on the show there is nothing that draws me in to watch. Instead of throwing Kendall at this boring lack luster character, have her investigate Zach's crash and discover that he may be alive and begin to search for him with Tad's and Jesse's help. Now that story would be worth watching with a payoff at the end of TK returning to the show.

OK. I miss TK and I miss Zen. Let me get that out of the way.,But even if I take that out of the equation and put on my logical and unbiased hat, it's impossible not to notice that JV is not a good leading man for AM. AM needs a stronger actor to be paired with and frankly, I am tired of AM/Kendall being asked to carry the show. She either gets stuck in unpopular storylines hoping her popularity will carry them. Or she is asked = as she is now - to give appeal to a character for which there is little.IMO it's just a big mistake to bring in a character to be paired with anyone - without AMC letting the new character act with a number of people and see where the appeal is and his strength (if any) lies.... before they write his storyline. To have someone brought in by the writers - who worked with this actor in another show - and assume that chemistry, acting styles and talents will match someone specific before they even hit the screen is egotistical and not in the best interests of AMC. It smacks of Jamie Luner's LIza having sex on a pool table with the most popular character in PV and when her character does not latch on, AMC wonders why. AMC never learns from past mistakes it seems.And yes, not for nothing - the fact that they are writing Griffin as another Ryan - like one was not enough - does not help. His arrogance, his know it all attitude, his "I am so furious that Kendall missed an appointment with me WASTING my time" - and then goes off to find her (like any doctor would ever go look for a patient wasting even MORE time) makes him totally unappealing and a joke.Oh yeah..and the "connect the dots I can figure out the storyline months in advance" writing is not helping either.
