I posted this in another thread just now (under the Awards show fiasco)

Wanted to post it here too in case anyone from the big 3 networks ABC, CBS and NBC as well as FOX in case some brilliant exec at any of them gets the big idea to drop not only the awards show BUT our soaps as well.

I want them to know that all of us soap fans are not just going to sit down, be quiet and go away if they keep dissing our soaps AND our once beloved Daytime Emmy Show!

Nope! There are MILLIONS of us loyal fans out here that will not just go away quietly if these "execs" decide that our soaps our no longer "relevant" as a lot of rumors indicate

So here's my other post about THAT and about them dropping THE best (or was when it was always on one of THEM and not CW) awards show ever aired!

Hopefully it will get forwarded to someone at one of the networks (along with a LOT of replies from you guys too I hope) or one of their little minions will read our comments here and pass them along.

Everything you posted, I've heard from other folks so now I'm glad I DIDN'T bother even trying to watch it

As I posted b/4, this show used to be THE classiest awards show aired I thought. But from the sounds of this one, it sounds like it was nothing but cheesy tripe. And I've read that most fans are really ticked too 'cause they pretty much made total fun of soaps which if they EVER needed some credibility, it's now. As well as respect.

I don't like Susan Lucci 'cause I"ve ALWAYS thought she overacts & after watching Dancing w/the Stars when she was on, I disliked her even more! She was SO fake on that.

Anyway, be that as it may, I don't watch the CBS soaps at all. I'm a LONG time Days fan & watch OLTL & GH, and can't believe that Susan Haskell won. I really like her but considering the talent she was up against? I don't know how she won quite honestly. I'm happy for her dont' get me wrong, BUT.....

I'm still mad that NON of the 3 major networks or even FOX picked up the show this year. It's ALWAYS been THE classiest awards show as I said (no "f" word & nasty stuff like most of the other ones especially the music awards shows) and HAD to draw a HUGE ratings audience because look how many of us out here are SOAP FANS!

They can't tell me that the show didn't have a huge audience!

I'm fed up with ABC, CBS and NBC claiming our soaps are not worth the $$$$ and air time anymore period aren't you guys?

So what would they replace them with? More stupid inane fake reality shows or talk shows? Or lame game shows?

Back to the awards show lol...I'm really glad I didn't bother wasting my time this year. I enjoyed the pre-season football game much more and that's saying a LOT considering how much I LOVE my soaps!

Sounds like if they put this back on CW next year, it WILL get canned for good and THAT is a real shame!

If I were CBS, ABC, NBC and FOX, I'd grab up THIS awards show if nothing else next year! They are disregarding and ignoring a LOT of fans out here who will leave THEM if they can our soaps AND if they continue to not pick up our Awards show.

It sounds to me like they are using this horrible awards show this year to lend credance to their mis-guided theories that soaps are "out" now and they all need cancelled!

NOT TRUE big 3 networks (and Fox if you're dumb enough to pass on some of our shows IF the big 3 are dumb enough to cancel any of them)!!!!!!

PLEASE bring our Daytime Awards Show back to one of you because there ARE a LOT of fans who TUNED IN when it was still a classy, great show!
