I want to preface this by saying I do not condone Patrick's behavior & believe he should have to deal with the consequences. Having said that, I think Robin is partially to blame for alot of it & all of them (including Steven & Matt) have a hand in Lisa's spiral into Lunyland. This woman showed signs of being a nutjob right from the start. Who leaves a coveted spot at a major metropolitan hospital to go to a little hickburg in upstate New York, where they only know one person? Especially when that person is a happily married ex-boyfriend with a child. The only possible reason is that she wants to get back together with the ex. Yet none of them, except Maxie thought it was odd or predatory.
Who's the first guy Lisa latches onto in this town full of hot, available men? Patrick's brother. A brother Patrick is very competitive with. Then, when it doesn't affect Patrick like she'd hoped, who does she pick up with? The hotshot new doctor that Patrick has an antagonistic relationship with.
Then, when Robin starts to get a clue what Lisa's up to, how does she respond? She goes off to Africa for a month, leaving her husband & daughter. A daughter she swore she'd never leave again when she was recovering from PPD. She, once again deserted Patrick. It's almost like she was daring him to cheat.
As for how Patrick has handled this situation from the point of realizing the mouse was off the wheel, the first thing he should have done was either come clean with Robin or deny, deny, deny. He waffled too much, giving Lisa all the power. He definitely should have gone to Mac when Lisa broke into the house. If he decided to keep lying, he should have let Lisa tell Robin they slept together & make her prove it. Naturally, she couldn't. Case closed. Call Mac, get the lunatic locked up & keep it zipped up when the wife's away.
As for Robin constantly saying Patrick would never cheat...Can you say Leila? I'm sorry. I can't imagine a woman as insecure as Robin not being at least a little concerned about leaving her husband alone with a woman who's been circling her husband for month, stroking his...er...ego. The writers dropped the ball with this bad remake of "Fatal Attraction" & Emma is not a bunny so they better not even go there.
Also, if you think about it, Robin's actually been unfaithful to him too, in a way. She's still very much in love with a dead man & he's been right in the middle of their relationship from the start. Her great love for Stone has been the biggest "wall" between them from the start & Patrick hasn't even been able to put a crack in it. She also has an idealistic & oversimplistic way of looking at marriage. I think she believes in elves & unicorns too. She's expecting perfection from an imperfect HUMAN man because she's gotten total fidelity from her dead boyfriend, who sadly didn't live a long enough life to be tempted by old girlfriends.Ironically, Robin is also the same person who justifies & defends Sonny in his relationship with Carly despite the fact that Sonny has cheated on every single woman he's been with. Then, she was expecting Maxie to agree with her on her "black or white" stance on fidelity despite the fact that Maxie has been both the cheating "non-wife" & the mistress.The fact that Robin cannot accept is this happened because she's got to have everything on her terms & because she holds Patrick at arms' length & has never let him in. She's been looking for something to hold against him just to prove herself right. She's married in her heart, but not to Patrick. He's just what she was killing time with here on earth, while she waits to be reunited with her "perfect" love.

It's all good point-of-views, but you're forgetting this is SoapLand - Nobody EVER does anything remotely logical except maybe the psychos.
Well put, luvsjason73. Was reading in SOD yesterday that of course Robin and Patrick realize that if Stone were alive, Robin would be with him. Well guess what, he isn't and she's not.It's wonderful to have a "great love" to remember, but this obsession with the past is ridiculous. Robin has a very much alive, 'human' man that loves her and their daughter and has made a big mistake. It's not like this was a continuing affair and Patrick appears to truly be sorry that it ever happened. He wants to try to repair the damage that he's done and there she is packing up his belongings and throwing them out the door.Now Stone is 'coming back' for a couple of days to give Robin the strength to live and go on. What crap. Robin needs to live for her husband, her daughter and the present. It's a pity that Maxie couldn't get through to her. She's a person that can understand this situation from all angles. Maybe Robin should get together with Spinelli. They both like to put people on pedestals and have totally unrealistic expectations about human behaviour. A reality check is needed here before something happens that can't be fixed.
Robin is pathetic, always have been and always will be. Its hard to believe that she is the daughter of Robert & Anna Scorpio. Sam should have been their daughter. But back to Robin's pathetic azz.....if she is so pizzed off at Patrick then why the heck is she folding his clothes and packing them all nice and neat instead of throwing that shitz out on the front lawn.....just askin'

Yep.... . But I am with it because that let's me know that you are a really dedicated fan who is not understanding the attitudes and behaviors of some of the characters. Robin and Patrick are legacy characters and they are being written out of character as far as I am concerned. Yes, Robin has always been a little self righteous, but she was never stupid and when you are being written as self righteous and stupid people are not going to feel sorry for you. I can see Patrick sleeping with Lisa under certain conditions, so I am not surprised, but what surprised me was how he acted afterwards, the Patrick I have seen grow would not have reacted to Lisa's shenanigans the way he did.
I've always been a Robin Scorpio fan since she came on I don't find her pathetic at all...the only thing her presence really does for me is remind me when the show was awesome and the writing was there I'm currently viewing the 1988 Fatal Attr storyline with Robin being terrorized along with Anna and Duke married and Robert is with Sheryl the writing is there for me.I have issues with the storyline of course since its a redo but I think its one of the best on the table...my sympathy is more in the Robin than Patrick camp. They told this story for nearly a year with more of Patrick' POV and now Robin is in it knowing the truth .......I enjoyed seeing Patrick squirm/

I agree that what Patrick has done is wrong and stupid on so many levels and I also agree that Robin isn't blame free in this whole mess. Patrick stood by her during her PPD, her running off and pretending to be someone else and her tearful promise not to leave again. Then he was supposed to just understand about her trip in the way back machine to the whole Stone thing which precipitated her trip to Africa. This was followed by her trip to NY to see her mother, who is capable of traveling to PC to visit her daughter and grandaughter. So angry, fed up Patrick gets drunk and ends up in bed with an old girlfriend that has chased him since she came to PC. Typical for soap land. Instead of being so sanctimonious and "betrayed" (I guess she gets that from her 'dear' friend Sonny) she ought to be worrying more about what Lisa could possibly do next. Will she announce this over the hospital intercom. (That was stupid the first time around). I'm normally in Robin's corner, but this time not so much. As for Patrick, he's another one that needs to be more concerned with Lisa's next step. She's stolen Robin's meds, taken Emma (just to show that she could) and now she's talking about what a happy family they could be if "something" happend to Robin.Hello, these are two well educated doctors. They need to work together to stop Lisa before she does something so horrible or so tragic that it can't be fixed.This storyline is what soaps are made of and it would be nice to see two people acting like adults and working to fix a very bad situation that they both played a part in causing.
