I just got the new issue of soap opera digest, and all I have to say is blech with the new layout. There are far too many colors and word bubbles going on. I love Soap Opera Digest because all of the pictures they have. Now, all the pictures are obstructed by word bubbles, and captions... it looks like a bad high school newsletter. Sometimes, less is more.

That was the case with SOD. The Weekly recaps now look so cluttered. The old style (which I loved and had been around for a while), was streamlined, clean, and classy. The new layout is so garish and boderlines on tackiness. I hope they go back to their old style and get rid of all the word bubbles all over the photos.

SOD is not supposed to be a comic book.
