I say get rid of the jason and liz story

While it'd be nice to have Brenda, Lucy, Ned & Jagger back on GH, I think they would just add to the overblown canvas & TPTB wouldn't be able to do them justice.I 'd be more than happy if they traded Kate for Lucy who could mix it up with Luke, Scott(who hasn't been seen since his son came out of a coma), Tracy & Sonny as well as providing a more interesting dynamic for Lulu & Maxie's rivalry(b/c of her friendships with both Luke & Felicia)I'd definately be willing to trade Jerry & Diane for Ned so that Alexis can have someone half-way decent in the romance department(He held a hotel hostage, murdered Alan & Stan, shot Robin, poisoned Nikolas. I want SOMEONE on this show to pay for their crimes).I'd gladly trade Patrick(who I'm still waiting to tell the nurse he exposed her to HIV & I'm still waiting for Robin to tell OFF for exposing her to any number of viruses) & ALL of the Z family (who ARE the NEWEckerts) for Jagger, but he's a cop & we KNOW that they get portrayed as stupid on GH while the mob is glorified(*sigh*) so they couldn't really do him justice either.Who do I have to blackmail to get Vanessa Marcil back on this show? Cause she would give BOTH Carly's a run for their money in the chemistry department. Jax & Brenda were HOT. Sonny & Brenda were HOT. Jason & Brenda were HOT. Brenda & any guy on the show would be smoking. If they got rid of the two nurses, the Z's, Trevor, Diane, Max, Milo, Jerry & Ian(who I still can't believe shot a 12-year-old in the head), they'd have enough for Vanessa right? If they can kill of poor Georgie & Emily just to have Jason save the day AGAIN, they can get rid of the above mentioned to bring Brenda back.As for the rest, it'd be nice if they didn't kill off Michael (there's been way too many people killed off this last year). I don't understand why reoccuring characters get more airtime then those on contract or those who are Vets of the show. I'd rather see Monica (who's rehab is as off-screen as her alcohol addiction), Edward (who should be suing for custody of Michael or ranting & raving about wanting to see him b/c THAT"S what Edward would do), Bobbie (who should be comiserating with Alexis over bad-boy Jerry & staying by Carly's side), Noah(who needs to smack his son upside the head), Anna (who's on her way, but seriously needs to kick some butt for her daughter while she's here, Patrick & Jerry being foremost on the list), Robert (who also needs to kick some butt for his daughter, but also needs to find out he's gonna be a grandparent), Mac (who can also smack Patrick upside the head as well as be a thorn in the Spinelli/Maxie romance b/c of the mob angle). I adore Robin, but she needs to cut her losses with Patty. He's never going to change & he's going to hurt her AGAIN. She needs a man who will treat her a LOT better than he has. Jagger anyone?And I know it isn't just GH that does this. All soaps have a nasty habit of shoving newbies down veiwers throats & firing vets (AMC & ATWT anyone?) It's a symptom of a much larger problem-the new blood needs to be backstage NOT ON-STAGE. New ideas need to be embraced in daytime as a whole, but it doesn't seem to be happening. It's why daytime numbers are falling so steadily & why I fear daytime soaps may be a dying breed.

Ditto the return of the Nurses' Ball and Lucy Coe. Maybe then we could get Bobbie back on the canvas.I love Robin and all of her neuroses, and I think she's one of the most realistic characters in soaps.

Please bring back Lucy and Kevin and Sigfried the duck too.Bring back Felicia and make sure she stays this time.

OMG, I loved Lucy & Sigmund. I remember that duck hated katherine bell & they called it to the stand during the murder trial for Damien's fake murder-lord I've been watching this show too long . . .Speaking of-ahem The Corinthos/Jacks family is messed up these days & could really use some therapy-Lainey anyone?And poor Logan's got no girl, no best friends-maybe he could use a friends-Cody anyone?

Whoa, I didn't capitalize Sigmund to correct your spelling. I capitalized it to emphasize how shocked I was that a duck got called to testify...and that I somehow didn't remember seeing it air.

YES! Bring back Lucy and the Nurse's Ball! It was a fun break from all the drama on the show.I want to see Ned back too...and reunite him with Alexis. As much as NLG has chemistry with Sebastian Roche, I can't get past that Jerry Jacks/James Craig is one really shady character. And I doubt they'd revisit Rexis again, so Ned it is. I don't think Robin was ever whiny back in the 90s. Through all the pain and loss she experienced in her life, I thought she was very wise beyond her years, but I hate how they're writing her now. It's like they threw all that out the window and made her as immature and neurotic as possible to pimp Patrick. Michael...it's odd. I didn't like Dylan Cash in the role, but within the couple of weeks leading up to Michael getting shot, he seemed to grow into the role for me. I'm a bit disappointed that they let him go now. ITA that the show was much more enjoyable 10 years ago. It was much more varied, but at the same time cohesive. There were stories involving all the age groups on the show and everyone interacted together. Now, everyone's in their own story bubble, and it feels like watch two completely different shows sometimes.

yep, they were trying to prove that Katherine had an alibi b/c the duck always made a racket when she walked by Lucy's apt. Lucy & the duck were on the stand & katherine was walking by & lucy was trying to get the duck to quack to prove the alibi.It was right before Justus killed Damien for real & right before Nikolas first showed up in PC.Like I said-I've been watching this show waaaaaay too long

Now there's an idea: Jagger and Robin. What great history: Robin with Stone's brother and Jagger with wife Karen's childhood friend. Some people want to cut Diane, but I like that Alexis has a same-gendered friend about her age. The PTB could have easily kept Diane as an antagonist to Alexis which would have been the predictable route to go. I like their dynamic. I also like how Diane stands up to Sonny's ridiculous demands in regards to her relationship to Max. I could do without Patrick and Jerry, though. Jerry's love for Jax and interest in Alexis do not redeem him in any way for what he did as Mr. Craig.

See, I don't really need Jerry redeemed, so I'm fine with him. Alexis is a Cassadine; her whole family is murderous, I think it's probably okay for her to date a guy with blood on his hands.

I can see your point about not needing Jerry redeemed in order to date Alexis, but I think that part of what defines Alexis (and Nikolas, too) is that she is fighting her nature (Cassidine) and nurture (raised/neglected by Mikos and Helena after her mother's murder), trying to NOT be murderous, duplicitous, etc. and making life choices to separate herself from the "bloody-hands" clan. It's one of the reasons she has pursued a career in law. It also allowed her to be the family "gatekeeper" for so many years. She acted as the positive talking head to family outsiders and the internal moral compass for Nikolas and Stefan. For her to fall in love with Jerry means she is failing in defining herself as not Cassidine. I guess I need Jerry redeemed so that Alexis can love him and NOT fail in her identity struggles. Of course, that makes for boring soap watching...I guess I will have to live with that - for now.

I too long for so many stars from the past. Felicia (altho I didn't get into her last stint on the show), Frisco, Jagger, BRENDA, Ned. It's as if they are catering to only the teens and 20's viewers!! Give us old timers a break, and keep the stories we started watching the show for..... It's either the mob, or, the mob, or, the mob. NOT that I don't LOVE Sonny and Jason. Just give us some more old time romance!!!!!
