I'm all for the return of the wonderful Genie/Laura, but the-powers-that-be are passing up an even better story by not bringing back Kristina Wagner as Felicia. Julie is a talented actress, no doubt, but I find myself asking why I should even care about Lulu losing it when I don't even care about her to begin with. She hasn't been likeable since before she broke up Dillon and Georgie. She's a selfish, annoying brat and I can't sympathize or even empathize with her whatsoever. Besides, I hate all the "Lulu is just like her mother" talk. It grates on my nerves and it's just another reason to dislike this storyline - to compare the two is an insult to Laura.

What GH did to Kristina Wagner is beyond words. I would love to see her back and coping with Georgie's death, Maxie's turn to the silly side and Mac.I'd like to see a little more mother/daughter with Bobbie and Carly as well. Bobbie is never on. The Q's have disappeared (either off screen and awaiting Luke's return or dead).

I don't know why I was surprised at what they did to Felicia. After all, this is the same writer who managed to write Robert Scorpio as a deadbeat dad, Holly Scorpio as a money-loving woman willing to let innocent people (friends of hers) die, and Rick Webber as an adulterer/murderer. Guza has no sense of GH's history or its characters. The only characters he cares about are the mobsters.Get the mob out of Port Charles!

Ok since we are talking about history here. Let's not forget that the mob has been part of Port Charles for a very long time. I started watching GH back when Laura and Scott were together, and happy. Luke was having dealings with very shady characters even then ie; Frank Smith. Cesar Faision. just to name a few and lets not forget that Luke met Holly when he was on the run from the mob. Organized crime and espionage has been a part of GH for as long as I remember. Not to mention Anna and Robert were off working with the WSB and taking down mobsters while Robin didn't even know who her real parents were. If I am wrong in anyway please feel free to correct me my memory is a little vauge.

You are right Amanda, but some (most?) don't want to be reminded that the mob has always been part of Port Chuck. However, this is my beef. While the mob has always been a part of the show, it was never as "in your face" as it is now. There was balance between mob, adventure (Left-Handed Boy, Ice Princess, Frank Smith dying, et al) and the hospital. Now it's very off balance. All we see is mob with some hospital stuff sprinkled in. It's not longer about the stories for sweeps and all about "what stunt can dream up to out do last sweeps?"

The mob has been there since the 70's -- but never as the good guys. Mobsters were the bad guys and were in the background. Now the mob is front and center and Sonny (mob boss) and Jason (enforcer/hitman/mob boss) are the show's "heroes".Quote:just to name a few and lets not forget that Luke met Holly when he was on the run from the mob. No, I don't think so. He was out of the mob when he met Holly while camping in the mountains.Quote:Not to mention Anna and Robert were off working with the WSB and taking down mobsters while Robin didn't even know who her real parents were. If I am wrong in anyway please feel free to correct me my memory is a little vauge. WSB came first, that's how Robert and Anna met. They broke up when Robert discovered Anna was a double agent. He didn't know she was pregnant. Anna hid Robin with her "grandmother" Filomena.Robin knew who her parents were when her parents were involved with the mob. Anna was in love with Duke, a reluctant mobster. Robert, as Police Commissioner, was often seen fighting the mob (far more iffeciently than today's police department).

I stand corrected. Thank you. I love hearing from people who have been watching as long as I have.

You're right that the mob has been in Port Charles for a long time. But the mobsters were never the good guys until Sonny/Jason came along. Duke was a reluctant mobster, who wanted out of the organization.

I was glad at first when Laura came back but it was all about Lulu. who has done very little but get herself into trouble than whine about it. I too haven't liked her sense she broke up Georgie and Dillon and the aftermath of it... They should show more Bobbie & Carly, Sam & Alexis and Maxie & Falica.
