I think I don't care. For some unknown reason, I watched an episode where Frankie kept touching Madison's shoulder. I was intrigued and confused. I was wondering if that is what the writers were shooting for. I rarely watch the show other than that. I focus my energies on OLTL and sometimes GH to catch Brenda and Jason scenes. AMC is totally unrecognizable to me. I know I have told people not to give up, but I am darn near at the end of my rope. I don't know what to do. I still DVR the show, but I do it out of habit. Alicia Minshew has stated in interviews in reference to whether or not Thorsten Kaye will continue as Zach that... 'there was a Kendall before Zach.' Well there was a Kendall before Greenlee and Ryan. Kendall is Erica Kane's daughter, she doesn't need Greenlee or Ryan.There's enough story there for any talented writer to use. Key word ,talented! Ryan.... is just her son Spike's sperm donor. Zach is his real father. He lives with him. Zach nurtures him and loves him as he does Ian. When Kendall and Zach remarried on the yacht, Zach said to Kendall that Ryan would always be Spike's father but Spike, Kendall and he were family. To me that trumps any biological tie Ryan has to Spike. When Ryan left Kendall standing in the road in the rain when he took off on his motorcycle he should have stayed gone.Greenlee...after Leo died Greenlee had no place on AMC, just as Annie didn't after she cold bloodedly killed her brother and attempted two other murders.Both of these characters should have been written out which would have been a natural progression of things but no...Pratt in his stupidty kept Annie and Greenlee remained to live again in that disastrous Fusion sl which Frons thought was just what we wanted to see...an imitation of Sex and the City. Wrong, if I wanted to see SATC I would have watched HBO and I did. Then Rylee was born or forced on us by Frons... and here we are. Just read in the new SOD about Zach's exit and it's just further proof that the fans are not being heard. I'm realistic to know that TK's stay for now was short-term and totally expected the s/l would be a "death" with no body found should TK return down the line. What really gets me is it is going to be b/c of that most hated duo- Rylee!!! Why!!! No matter who tells me and it can be Jesus Christ himself that they are THE supercouple, will I buy it. The majority of fans feel what they feel and we aren't going to change our minds anytime soon. For them to be the reason Zach's in the plane is enough to drive what little fans are left to turn the show off. This just may be the straw that broke the camel's back! Ugh!

Not only will Zach die because of Ryan, the one that stole his casino, and ruined his life, but the writers have the audacity to describe Kendall's new great romance with the new guy in town. How arrogant and insensitive. You cannot create a great romance, it's the fans that create it because of the chemistry between the actors. You cannot manufacture it in a visual medium, maybe in print but not here.They either click or they don't.

The writers have done a disservice to Alicia Minshew and to the new character by announcing this. All they have done is create resentment. Rylee lives, but Zendall has to be sacrificed. Boy if you think Rylee is hated now, the ratings will be 1.5. after this.

I realize Thorsten Kaye would only be back for a brief time, but for the writers to write him out this way connected to the two most hated characters on daytime, makes it all the more distasteful and infuriating.
I'm still waiting for the them to play up Zendall's epic romance. Every freaking time they are alone, one of the gruesome twosome shows up.

Adam gone, David killed off, Zach killed off.....there are no reasons to watch AMC.

I love Alicia Minshew but to have her character move on so quickly after this epic romance, is disrespectful to the character's history with Zach. No one is even sure the fans will like the new guy let alone like him with Kendall.
What's wrong with being alone for a while. Kendall was alone a long time before Zach. she doesn't need another guy now. Keep her alone and let Alicia's contract run out and bring Zach back to have them go off into the sunset together.

I have never been a huge Zendall fan; however, this article was done in poor taste. I think promoting another man for Kendall in the same article with revealing the death of Zach is just plain horrible!! When I bought the magazine today, I honestly didn't even see the headline about Zach dying. I saw David & Zach's picture, and decided to pick it up....but when I got home and thoroughly went over the magazine, my jaw dropped when I saw, "Zach Dies!" Are TPTB over at AMC smoking crack?!This is quite possibly the worst move they could make with the character of Zach Slater....unless they are going for the whole Maria Santos Grey angle, where the audience sees an injured Zach sitting in the plane as it falls off a cliff, with the body never to be found.....so they leave the door open for him to come back. Although I think there are better ways tey could have written him off the show.I have quit watching AMC all together....I can't take any more of the Ryan/Greenlee hour. Notice how all other stories have been abruptly pushed to the side? What about Angie & Jessie? Erica & Jackson? And even more importantly, Kendall & Zach? If you know you're going to write such a hugely popular character off, shouldn't he receive a little more screen time, before he's written off the canvas? These writers suck azz!! I only watch Y&R and OLTL....AMC is a thing of the past, and will soon be cancelled in my opinion.

I don't mind that Zach "dies" if TK really does not want to come back full time. I would prefer a death (whatever that means to soaps in general) to Zach and Kendall breaking up over some non-existent nonsense. I would have preferred him not "die" because of Ryan and Greenlee but hey, Ryan and Greenlee are killing AMC in general so what's new there?

I understand the writers problems with writing a storyline for a part time character. I am not naive. I know they have to move foward. I have tried really hard to look at this from their point of view.

But the idea that you are promoting a new romance for Kendall before Zach is even off the canvas is stupid at best. Relationships works on soap when the actors click and the viewers see some sort of chemistry and interest between them. Having someone tell me that there is going to be a great romance between Kendall and someone I don't even know is giving it a black mark before it even starts.

Besides I am more than tired of Brian Frons or whoever the writer of the day is pronouncing a new supercouple and then it fizzles like day old soda water. AMC cannot tell me how to feel and what to like...you think they would figure this out by now.

But to do this at a time when Zen fans are supposed to be enjoying these week of Zendall..potentially their last weeks...and throw a new man in Kendall's life before Zach's body even hits the ground? That's just DISGUSTING.

If this is supposed to keep me as a AMC viewer, TPTB guessed wrong for the gazillionth time. Their ignorance is only superceded by their arrogance. If I want to watch a soap at 1 pm eastern time, for sure AMC won't be the one. I have been punched in the gut one time too many thank you very much.

I'm very late to this conversation, but I've read SOD. Heck, I even bought SOD as a tribute to TK. I sincerely wish that Donna Swajeski would have talked about the decision to kill off Zach without promoting Griffin when the dude hasn't even aired yet and Zach's still alive. I also regret how the article was presented by SOD. But my problem is bigger, and that is, the decision to kill off Zach in the first place, and I don't feel it was inevitable or the only way to write Zach off. It's cruel, it's heartbreaking. It comes before the holidays, not that Zen fans can count on more than one finger a happy Thanksgiving for the couple. It comes (in all likelihood) before Zen can renew vows. There are knife twists and middle fingers being given to Zen fans left and right. And while I'm not a creative person, I would have been happier with Zach "disappearing" for his family's sake rather than leaving a young woman with two small boys a widow. I also have my own thoughts about letting Thorsten Kaye go, when the show is sinking in quicksand and the absence of a strong male lead actor on the show is noticed daily.I was very angry when I first found out, and even angrier when I read the article itself, but now, AMC can go be whatever they are for the few fans left. I've bought my last SOD and SOW and after TK leaves, I will wish Alicia Minshew all the best, but I cannot watch Kendall move on--slow, fast or whatever.
