Had stopped watching the show about a year ago but wanted to watch it for Alice's goodbye. Everything to do with Alice's impending death is outstanding- everything else, not so much. Would prefer the next 2 weeks truly devoted to Alice & the Hortons with everything else taking a backseat. Kind of like they did with the show during the last summer Olympics. With the talent they have with the family members remaining on the show and the returning ones, there is an embarrassment of riches they could showcase. The other s/l can wait b/c really what current s/l is so pressing that you can't go a day without? I will watch the show for the next few weeks and then tune out b/c some things never change with the show.

feel the same way. Have not actually watched in a few years, but when i read about this memorial, and fan faves of yesteryear returing, I knew I wanted to be a part of it as well. I am just floored at all the older footage cropping up.. OMG MARIE and ALICE from so long long ago.. I truly remember alot of this stuff, and am totally floored at reliving some of the old footage, albeit too quickly. I think it would have been more of a memorial to her had all other stories been placed on hold, and time spent with returning persons reliving the golden days of ALICE.. as a special tribute, not only to her, and her family, and cast and crew, but to all the fans who have stayed with this on and off through the years, to just spend one week, with them reliving the days with her.. THAT is what families do at times such as these.....

I have enjoyed all the memories and very glad they used some old footage. And I LOVED seeing Mike and Carrie again..even for just a few minutes. They were my favorite couple for a long time.
Goodbye Alice and God Bless. You gave us so much.

This was probably the best memorial storyline I have ever seen done on a soap. I have been tuning in for the last month, and this is how it should be done. This is how I would have liked for AMC to have remembered Palmer. It was totally fabulous. I loved all of the flashbacks and reminded me of why I started watching Days back in the early 80's. I just wished we could have really seen some oldies but goodies like Liz, Neil, Don, Alex, etc. What a treat. And the returned characters added weight and value to existing stories. I loved how they used to Laura and Bill to advance Kate's story with Stefano. Same thing with Jennifer and Carly and Jennifer and Hope. And Kayla and Stephanie and Philip. Well done Days.

It really has been amazing. I would love to see people hang around to help with all the faces we don't care about. I am more interested in them when there is a face i recognize and care about.
