I was happily surprised how these two bonded on Wednesday's episode. I usually FF through Robin and Patrick scenes (I never really cared about either of them to be honest), but something about yesterday's episode told me to watch.
I cried with Patrick as he was talking to Matt about raising baby Emma by himself and how he wasn't sure that he could do it. In that one scene I actually cared about Matt and Patrick. Matt gave him the strength to believe that he could raise Emma by himself, but also gave the brothers a chance to bond over their horrible childhoods.
Thank you TPTB for giving us some brotherly bonding!
I really didn't like Matt at all when he first came onto the show, but he seems to be more interesting now that he has layers.
I love Patrick and Matt. I enjoy any time that they're on screen together. Like many other characters and storylines, I think there's a lot of potential there.
I hope they continue to bond. Hopefully these two brothers can make up for lost time and Matt can have a chance to be a uncle to little emma. I also have to say the scene with Patrick, Anna, and Maxie by Robins bedside where they all came and spoke seperatley to her was played wonderfully!
I agree! There's a lot there that can be explored and I'd love to see that. They need each other in their lives and it looks like baby Emma will be the one to bring the brothers together. It seems like both have a lot of respect for each other as well. At least now that they know they are brothers.
Maybe with the bonding Patrick can introduce Matt to more people or something. Cook is a great actor he needs the storyline! He needs his own storyline. I could kinda see him with Olivia. Oh but then again maybe Jason with Olivia could really get some drama rolling with Jason and Sonny and Kate and Olivia. Theres an idea especcially with Olivia having Sonny's first born son. Have Carly and Olivia become good friends and more issues start between them and Kate. Then Micheal wakes up.......
I am finally caught up and have seen the Matt and Patrick scenes after Emma's birth/Robin's crisis. I loved the awkwardness between Matt and Patrick - it made it all believable. Kudos to GH and the actors for playing this out well.
I thought the opposite. I thought the writers glossed over Patrick and Matt's relationship issues. Matt's background was introduced really fast and Patrick had almost no feelings. He immediately welcomed Matt?! They talked about their problems, what? Maybe twice? And yet we've heard about Elizabeth and Jason "not being together" for over a year now!

I was happy to see Matt and Patrick bonding yesterday as well. It is nice to have seen a less arrogant, more human side of Patrick.
