1983 is a little before my time with OLTL...can someone fill me in on Echo? I love Kim Zimmer and will tune back in to OLTL (Which I haven't done since 2004 and Tina's return) to see her....

I'm excited!

Echo came to town with her brother to destroy Clint because they thought their mother's death was Clint's fault (I believe he had had an affair with her and she supposedly committed suicide when he left her something to that affect). He was married to Viki at the time and Echo managed to seduce him and put a huge stumbling block in their marriage. She actually fell in love with him, but her brother convinced her to continue their schemes. When she and Clint were at a bridge, she jumped off, but it made it appear like Clint had pushed her. Who was at the scene when she went into the water? Dorian, who was a witness when Clint was being charged with murder, and who had an axe to grind with both Clint and Viki. Of course, Echo was found but she had amnesia and couldn't remember anything. After gaining her memory back, she admitted that she came to town to destroy Clint and left in disgrace. I actually liked the character, but the writers saw fit to write her out.

I guess they will hook them up.

They would have scenes together, but they never really shared a storyline. Their characters families were involved sometimes, like when his niece on the show Sam was involved with Reva's son Dylan. She will be working heavily with him though since Echo's story involved Clint, Viki, and Dorian. And she is supposed to be working with all of them. I wished Clint Ritchie was still alive, because then, they could have used flashbacks to let the newer viewers catch up with what happened over 20 years ago.

One Life has been known to do things like that. Amazing almost everyone but him is still there, right?

it's great to hear Kim Zimmer returning, it kinda reminded me when the late great Michael Zaslow returned back in the day.

I really enjoyed Zaslow's story when he was on One Life back in the day. He had amazing chemistry with both Robin Strasser and Brynn Thayer. David and Jenny were one of my favorite couples on the show (along with Cassie and Rob) and the story they had with Dorian rocked. I loved how she blackmailed Jenny into leaving David after lying about his pushing her down the stairs. And Dorian getting around in a wheelchair lying about being paralyzed. That was a hoot. Soaps were the bomb back then. Dang they just don't write em like they used to.As for Echo, it will be interesting how they write her back in. She has not been heard from in over 25 years. I wonder if they will make her a love interest for Clint. If so, would he want to be with her after all the drama she caused him all those years ago? Actually, I am just glad they are giving him a story of his own, because I love Jerry Von Dern. I am one of those fans who do NOT want Viki and Clint to get back together. So if they won't bring back Lindsay, I say go ahead and bring back Echo. If she is true to character, she can lie, scheme, and manipulate as well as Lindsay, so hopefully, she will keep Clint on his toes.
