Mrskaz, I agree with your entire post. The overexposure of Ryan Lavery and the underexposure of characters such as Tad and Jesse is killing AMC. There is no reason why Zach's attorney gave Ryan Zach's will to deliver it to Kendall in the hospital. He should have delivered it himself and should not have discussed the possibility that Zach's death might not have been an accident with anyone other than Kendall. Now Ryan is keeping this news from Kendall, a woman who has the right to be informed about any investigation into Zach's accident. I am so sick of Ryan infesting Kendall's life especially where Zach is concerned. He was never Zach's friend and only stole from him. Kendall is a strong woman and should have the right to decide who should be involved in investigating Zach's death and choose the people to help her. Both Tad and Jesse, who presently are on the back burner as far as s/ls, are both qualified investigators and close friends of both Zach and Kendall and should help protect Kendall and her boys as well as help her find out who was responsible for taking Zach away from his family.AMC is dying slowly in the ratings. The move to CA has only reduced the show both in quality of production, the size and quality of the cast, quality in writing and immensely reduced the number of characters to root for. The loss of actors such as Thorsten Kaye and David Canary, both strong male leads, and the hiring of newbies with highly questionable acting abilities, is dragging the show into cancellation territory.It is time for TPTB to start accessing some of their choices, rectifying mistakes, and start to rebuild AMC to the strong family and social issue oriented show it once was. Make the writing more history and character driven and stop bringing in new characters at the cost of back burnering old characters beloved by an audience that has been faithful to AMC for tens of years. I could care less about this arrogant creepy Griffen or his sister Cara or their story or Damon and Asher, but I do care about Tad, Jesse, Angie who have been part of the AMC canvas for many years. Zach Slater, one of the most complex and fascinating characters on the show has now been killed off with the loss of Thorsten Kaye, the male romantic lead of the show. No one can replace TK in that capacity and trying to make Cameron Mathison's Ryan Lavery be the go to it hero in almost every s/l on the canvas is falling flat and only losing audience numbers in the process.IMO, to start repairing the damage done to AMC by a way too frequent change of head writers, the move to CA, the loss of fan favorite lead actors along with the loss of the show's beloved power couple, Zach and Kendall, is to get back Thorsten Kaye, hire writers that can write character driven stories that go beyond the typical triangle crap that we have been seeing on AMC for the past three years and concentrate the writing on the existing core characters and families instead of newbies, who few in the audience care about. Also bring back romance and "love in the afternoon" instead of lust and sex and musical chair pairings.

I wish I could find one thing in both of your posts with which to disagree, but I can't. The show is just unwatchable. Instead of kicking the show while it's down, because I think it's a given that Ryan and Greenlee are killing the show and JR and Annie are reprehensible and not romantic leads, and that Thorsten Kaye and David Canary need to return,maybe we could discuss the rumors of a Megan McTavish return? Is it just an interim return until talented and fresh writers can be found or is it to take over from these awful, awful writers as head writer? Thoughts? And what do you think needs to be done to fix this unwatchable mess? You all know mine and if not, I'll fill you in... Correct the mess that Charles, 'I don't give two s%^%ts about show history or character integrity,and if the fans don't like it, give 'em the finger' Pratt did to this show. Reverse that baby's paternity, fix that lesbian sl and let it progress on screen, reverse Kendall's unnecessary heart transplant and get rid of Denise Vasi's Randi, give Michael E. Knight, Darnell Williams, Debbie Morgan, Vincent Irizarry storylines, put Annie away, backburner Ryan and Greenlee and please marry Erica and Jack and keep them married. Stop with the tiresome triangles. Write character driven storylines. Respect history and character integrity.And most of all move the damn show back to the East Coast where it belongs so we can have Thorsten, David and Julia Barr back! Then fire Julie Hanan Carruthers.

I absolutly loved the Kendall and Rylee Scenes, but sad that Zach was missing in those Scenes, for me right now the only Thing still watchable on AMC is Rylee.
